Time for some thoughts on the heavenly aspects of heavenly crow demons!
I've gathered from readings various xianxia works that demon kind (Mó Zú, 魔族) and 'heart demons' (Xīn Mó, 心魔) are both called Mó (魔) because the two are intertwined. Demons are either 1) beings that succumbed to their own heart demons, 2) physical manifestations of the heart demons of individuals or people generally, 3) cosmic entities that foster heart demons in other people, or 4) decedents of other demons formed via the former methods. In other words, you don't get a demon without some sort of heart demon being associated with them!
In SVSSS, Heavenly Demons are very explicitly of the first category! They were heavenly beings, but "fell to depravity" and became demons, with the Zuiyin (罪印, Mark of Sin) being a physical manifestation of their fall from the heavens.
When Binghe's seal was broken, he was overcome with bloodlust and the "desire to inflict savage cruelty," which along with all their blood related powers, seems to indicate the major heart demon his Heavenly Demon bloodline suffers from is specifically bloodlust. I'd hazard a guess that a tendency towards anger, and perhaps the need for vengeance, may be manifestations of that heart demon too (succumbing to anger certainly makes Binghe's mark glow brighter and spread).
Thinking about the ex-Jinwu Heavenly Demon Crows, their particular heart demon should be related to vanity, pride, and carelessness. Depending on how you interpret the myth, they almost burned the world to ashes just to mess around, and perhaps be admired, so it seems fitting!
Based on this, Heavenly Demon Crows have a strong tendency towards luxury, pampering, and playing around. If they're trapped somewhere stuffy and boring, are forced to perform menial labors, or are in a sorry state where they don't get to show off their fine garments (or plumage) and sparkly jewelry to be admired, they tend to get quite irritated about it.
Speaking of jewelry, since Heavenly Demon Crows used to be pure gold, their current mostly 'drab' black appearance with only gold feather tips and a slightly gold sheen, is quite tragic to them. It contributes to their grand desire to cover themselves in glitter and gold to make up it!
Luckily for Shen Yuan, he unknowingly snags himself a man who will be thrilled to spoil him rotten, take him to interesting places, and cover him in all the gold and fine silks he could ever want!
First of all, the level of thought you've put into demons is admirable and I will never be able to think of anything else when I'm thinking about demons. Woarh...so many kinds of demons - all so fascinating...So, heavenly demons as once heavenly beings, which is just wild to think about - and the Zuiyin information!! I'm not afraid to admit that I'm very hopeless when it comes to things into this, so this is all information that I am chewing on quite gently THE VANITY, PRIDE AND CARELESSNESS SIN LINKING TO THE CROW DEMONS YES YES YES!!! The idea of Shen Yuan slowly falling for these typicalities within his bloodline, it's so so silly, the idea that he just randomly walks into his little nest home and realises that he's SURROUNDED by gold and glitter and shiny shit, and he's just like "....ohhhh. OHHHHHH-" I love the idea of a huffy Shen Yuan doing something to help out the locals (he loves helping the local villages, even if he hates doing work), and a couple of crows watching as he lugs along a cart of dirt and quietly bemoans the fact that anything shiny he has is thoroughly caked with dirt - he may be helpful, but he likes to be shiny :(( BINGHE GIVING HIM LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE COULD EVER WANT - He so much as LOOKS at something? It's immediately his. Immediately. I love this. I wish I could say more but this speaks for itself. (Check the crowyuan au tag on my Tumblr for more!! I'll probably answer a couple more asks about it tomorrow because I'm only on half a day of learning and I've got a few more interesting asks to blab about!! :D)

Gem and Lizzie would make for fun enemies as I think they would make great for a duo. Is it just me? Like better if it's one sided rivalry like with Joel and Scott. Lizzie is confused, Gem is bloodthirsty. Must be just me and my pirate concept with pirate captain Gem and her beef with the ocean and Lizzie as the Ocean Queen.
lemme rant about my concept
Gem is cursed by some ancient entity to shift into an ocean siren hit with the urge to eat people and longing to breathe underwater, she hates it because her siren features are slowly becoming permanent almost replacing her hybrid features of being a deer. Which she is devastated of as she is the sole survivor of her village kind. At some point she and her crew rescued Joel from captivity as he was a prince of a kingdom in the middle of a war. And Joel has the attention of Ocean Queen Lizzie, straight up being courted by her and he has an embarrassing crush on her yet is oblivious. When Gem realizes Joel is connected with her, she keeps Joel captive and demands Lizzie to cure her curse. Lizzie, who was not the one to cast the curse nor is she powerful enough to undo a curse, is confused on why Gem is being so hostile and keeping her from seeing Joel. They would have squabbles in the ocean and Lizzie is just half confused and half annoyed that Gem keeps fighting her. Plus she's embarrassed because Gem wins nearly all the time. Of course it eventually develops into friendship through the different misadventures of Gem and her crew.... And Lizzie is there on the ocean cuz she can't really stay much on land and Gem would aim for her head if she ever tries to take a step on their ship. she really wants to join the crew but Gem keeps refusing. Joel feels like Gem is acting like a parent keeping him away from Lizzie, Taylor Swift's Romeo and Juliet style of goofy lovestory.
Gem's crew consist most of the magical mt. cast that might be also cursed like Gem in diff. ways and so each of them have their own stories. Scar is a wanted criminal and vex hybrid and might/might've not stolen an important artifact from the last cannibal cult he was a part of (triple whammy) and might/might not be threatened every time with death because he got the attention of an ancient entity, I wonder why? Grian is a runaway prince that teenaged Gem had the unfortunate time with when he sneaked into the pirate ship of another crew Gem was once a cabin girl for. Now he is in Gem's crew disguised as a middle aged fisherman that contributes jack shit on the crew, but can't be kicked out cause he's a great fighter and the Snail Colony both cursed Gem and Grian as their servants and they are inseparable by contract. Skizz was supposed to assassinate Joel, but had grown fond of the man while taking on the role as his personal knight, and so was protecting him all the time when Prince Joel was kidnapped and the two of them formed a deeper friendship when they were kept captive . Skizz is definitely an ancient entity that is not aware he is one, has an awful amnesia of his divinity, and will start to remember while having a second go at puberty in the form of wings. Many Many sprouting wings. Impulse has a touch with death, he does not know why but he is happy to see his bestfriend Skizz again! He is plagued by the ghosts that start to randomly haunt their ship but he knows it's because of Scar...because they keep telling him to kill Scar. Oh, and Impulse encounters ghostly Joel clones pretending to be Joel of a variety of killing moods, for whatever reason they are targeting Skizz. Something is not right with Joel.
What about Mumbo? uhhhhh Normal Guy™. Genuinely loves to tend to the ship be it redstone and building. Experiences all the horrors of his friends' curses first hand. Does help them and somehow always at the scene of the crime but also at the resolution of said crime. It's almost suspicious how he keeps surviving....
Yeah, so pirates, lotsa ancient entities and curses and cults and crazy island colonies with more curses. but most importantly. snails. and the moon might start cash landing on earth because for some reason the moon goddess (Pearl duh) is now on earth and her powers are gone and Gem needs to help her. Somehow.

✦ pairing: kaveh x reader
✦ w/c: 2.1k
✦ warning: dark content, yandere content, minors do not interact
✦ disclaimer: gender-neutral reader, gods/goddesses au, based on apollo myth, kidnapping, stalking, planned assassination, same universe as death's infatuation, gaslighting (alhaitham to kaveh), implied drugging, unedited
Kaveh hated how much he wore his heart on his sleeve despite being a divine entity. He was the God of Creativity after all, and his kindness and diligence with his craft had granted him favor with the many Gods and Goddesses of the lands. He even had favor with the other two most powerful Gods in Sumeru. Alhaitham, who he hated to praise, was analytical, granting favor for all that asked for his knowledge and skill. Nahida, who he loved, was sweet and merciful, often blessing the unfortunate and giving them a chance in life. Still, between the two of them, his heart couldn’t help fluttering in envy at times—wishing he could have the respect they craftily created.
It wasn’t until one day when he met with Alhaitham he saw another side of the usual stoic and cynical God. His typical eyes burned from their usually greenish hue to bright red, silently steaming. Kaveh resisted the urge to back up watching vines beginning to climb up and weave their way through the room. The God of Wisdom glared down at Kaveh before turning his body away from him. Kaveh only narrowed his eyes but could feel himself shrink, feeling Alhaitham’s anger. Kaveh swallowed, saliva coating his dry throat letting flowers begin to grow on the vines as a means to try to distract him and let the sweet aroma coax his anger.
“Alhaitham. It’s unlike you to be this bothered about anything. What happened to the perfect creation,” Kaveh attempted to greet in a sarcastic and light tone. Alhaitham’s body shook for a second before he sighed, as red began to dissipate from his form returning to its emerald green state. Alhaitham took a seat grabbing a large henna berry from a bowl beside him.
“One of the villages that pray to me has stopped because a lowly foreign mortal has convinced them the meritocracy, I so carefully created, should be crushed,” he sighed. Kaveh resisted the urge to sigh. He couldn’t help but agree with the mortal for once. He despised Alhaitham’s meritocracy style, seeing how many people fell through the cracks.
“...Diplomacy? Acceptance? As if these mortals can actually enact these laws without a coup or the knowledge to keep their civilization alive without the Gods,” Alhaitham sighed. Kaveh simply shrugged, a lazy smile on his thin pink lips.
“To think you’re bothered over something so trivial. You just said it yourself. They’re a mortal, Who cares? They’ll probably die before they can enact real change in your civilization, yknow?” Kaveh replied. Alhaitham’s eyes flickered up to Kaveh in annoyance.
“Sheesh, okay okay. I’m sorry!” Kaveh yelled out. Alhaitham sighed once more. His slim fingers tapping on a marble table..
“...I need you to do a favor for me. Get rid of them. Kill them. Make them disappear. Take them back to wherever they came from, I don’t care,” Alhaitham announced,” It’s too dangerous to let them continue doing as they please as the seeds of change have already been planted.”
Kaveh ruby eyes widened. Kaveh typically didn’t do bounties anymore, especially after...he had to kill another God. Kaveh swore to himself he wouldn’t let himself go that far anymore.
“Alhaitham I can’t—”
“You don’t think you owe me after all the support and needs I gave to a dying God. Let’s be real, if you were on your own, you wouldn’t be able to talk to me right now, now would you Kaveh? I would do it myself, but I know Nahida would encourage me not to and I don’t feel like debating her right now,” Alhaitham muttered. Kaveh clenched his mouth tightly, flowers beginning to wilt at his frustrations. Alhaitham was right, he couldn’t protest. It was because of Alhaitham people began to pray to him again, raising him to popularity. If that last girl, Nilou, managed to perish, he would have disappeared with her.
“...Fine. Show me what they looks like.”
Kaveh flew in the night, based by the dark the night graced him. Below, he saw your blurred form talking with someone in a temple. Trees were scattered around, as Kaveh descended. As his eyes adjusted and saw your sad form, his cold, guarded heart fluttered. He felt his cheeks heat up, he was sure he was blushing. Why was this happening at all times?
“We fall in love in one second as divine beings. It only takes one sight to know we want to be with that person for the rest of our existence.”
That comment from his late mother resonated with him. Was this a sign? You must be his love? His forever? Kaveh has been so jealous of the other deities having cute nymphs catering to them. He wanted that, to fill the void in his life. Kaveh wanted you to help fill the void in his life.
Kaveh could see the old tear stains on your face as you spoke with your friend. You had caused the wrath of Al-haitham? You seemed so gentle and sweet.
“(Y/n), I promise it’ll be okay. I swore to you that I would protect you. I refuse for you to get hurt and I stand by any of my promises,” the man insisted. His dark-skinned hands wiped your cheek before gently caressing your cheek gently, the coolness giving you goosebumps. Kaveh resisted the urge to swoop in and take his hand from you. Kaveh didn’t expect you to be this close with Cyno, the God of Judgment. He was considered a lower god and mainly did dealings in the human world.
“Cyno, I’ve angered the Gods and couldn’t even give you what you wanted. This is it for me. I’ve accepted my fate. The village was already planning on marrying me off to appease Alahitham’s other villages. You don’t have to protect me,” you insisted. Lightning begins to crackle from a distance causing your form to jump. Cyno narrowed his eyes towards the rest of the temple, gentle snow falling from it.
Kaveh clicked his tongue understanding the situation now. Cyno had been the one to get you to advocate for diplomacy and crush the meritocracy in the village. He wondered if Alhaitham would retaliate against him if he knew.
“I’m going to make this up to you, I promise. I’m going to head off and ask my allies to protect you—this used to be Tighnari’s village after all. I’m sure...he has already requested for your head,” Cyno muttered. You placed a hand on his shoulder.
“...You should be protecting yourself, Cyno. Now go, alright?” you insisted. With a sad nod, the God of Snow morphed into stormy purple clouds, as it drifted towards the sky to Mount Celestia. You sighed into the night once more before going to the plaza where the village was celebrating.
The men were conducting traditional dances of the forest, in an attempt to appease Alhaitham. The bright color of green, black and gold was worn all over—contradicting your soft red attire. You knew the village was filled with kind people, who feared what would happen if larger villages would come in and overrun the area. You were thankful they still treated you with the kindness you gave them. Your eyes wandered towards a boy who suddenly dropped his toy on the ground, eyes wide and looking at something else. Slowly, the other villagers followed. You narrowed your eyes, turning your head towards their direction—to see him.
Kaveh loomed in the sky as the mortals looked in awe. He continued to look at you, attempting to morph his face into that of anger—a complete contradiction to his internal feelings that wanted nothing to hold you in his arms.
“Foreign mortal, you have angered a friend of mine and for that, I have been sent down to deal with you myself. How lucky,” Kaveh seethed. He quickly lunged forwards swooping you in his arms. He resisted the urge to moan from the smell of your body. You felt so soft under his tight grip, as you struggled in fear. Kaveh shifted his head causing his blonde hair to seem wilder than what it was, gripping you tighter, as he looked down to the village.
“Be sure to not piss him off again. Would hate to see him bury this place up like he did the last,” Kaveh stated, shooting up to the sky. He could hear the screams of the villagers dying out as he reached closer and closer to his home in the heavens. You had stopped struggling, your beautiful eyes shut closed. Kaveh assumed you had stressed yourself out so much, you passed out. It was no worry though.
He’d be sure to take good care of you.
You fluttered your eyes open, looking at the large empty bed lifting your form up from the silky sheets of the bed. You’d been with the mysterious floating man for 3 months now. Life was relatively mundane for you.
You couldn’t ask him questions, he’d ignore you insisting on talking about something else. You couldn’t leave wherever you were lodging at, he insisted it was for your protection. The only company you had were the books he had given you: stories of different deities in Mount Celestia. Out of all of them, you felt a connection with the newest spring god. You wonder how they were feeling, being with both the God of Death and God of Hurricane.
Life wasn’t all that bad though. You didn’t have to fear Alhaitham anymore. The blond man had given you everything you could have wanted, only wanting your touch and affection as payment. You weren’t really sure if you truly liked him though; he was just a question mark to you.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Your eyes wandered towards the window as you approached it. Your eyes widen seeing familiar stormy scarlet-slitted eyes look back at you. It was Cyno. You quickly opened it, feeling your skin shiver from the cool breeze outside. How you missed your close friend.
“Cyno! I missed you so much! Are you alright?! How did you even get here?!” you began to ramble. Cyno looked around you, seemingly more serious than he usually was, most likely out of caution of being caught talking to you. You narrowed your eyes in confusion.
“(Y/n), I don’t have a lot of time, but you need to get out of here as soon as possible. The man you’re staying with is Kaveh, the God of Creativity, Flowers and Dreams. More importantly, he’s an ally to Alhaitham!” Cyno quickly murmured. The smile on your face fell in confusion, fear began to bubble in your stomach.
“W-What? If that was the case he would’ve killed me already right? I mean I’ve been here for 3 months—
“What are you talking about? You’ve been here for over a year!” Cyno shouted back. Your body began to shake. You had assumed every night you fell asleep, you’d wake up to the next day. Was that not the case? Has Kaveh tampered with your sense of time? Cyno lifted his hand up revealing a silver dagger, placing it gently in your hands. It felt so cold against your skin.
“...If you can manage to stab him with this, it’ll render him immobile for the time being. I can then take you away and up towards my Tighnari’s domain where he agreed to let you stay, alright? You have to do it tonight, do you understand?!” Cyno grunted. His body was becoming foggier and foggier. With a sad sigh, Cyno flashed a gentle smile.
“I promised I would’ve made it up to you, right?” With that, Cyno’s body faded, leaving the view of the blue sky you knew all so well. You held the silver dagger up, the metal shining in the sunlight.
You trusted Cyno over Kaveh in a heartbeat.
Night arrived rather quickly. You insisted on not eating, claiming you were feeling sick. Kaveh insisted you go to bed early claiming he would sleep with you too. His arms were wrapped around your frame. You could feel his breath evening out. Your frozen body could feel the blond man relax. You wiggled out of his grasp, grabbing the dagger you hit underneath your pillow.
Your hand shook, tears beginning to develop. Could you do this? Could you really stab someone? Surely Kaveh was still kind...right? Did he deserve this? You exhaled, lowering your body from him, dropping the knife away from your grasp. You couldn’t do it. You were too conflicted.
“...Looks like I was right about you all this time—”
You froze, feeling his hands cup against your cheeks, leaning his face close to yours. Kaveh smiled gently, pale cheeks flushed in a rosy hue. The world around you seem to be slipping, the smell of sweet flowers overwhelming your senses.
“I just knew you were just meant to be mine”

(Chatting)
I know a lot of people love the Self-Aware Au.
But I can’t help imagining the Hisui residents being in another universe that playing PLA gives us access to. They are unable to see us but can feel us looking over the MC’s shoulder.
=================================
Most of them brushed it off during the first few days. There were enough things to worry about before Ward (and wasn’t that just the oddest name for a young girl) fell from the Rift... Until they started noticing something following the sky-faller. It seemed to have some control over the girl if all the inhuman feats she pulled off were any indication. Not to mention everyone could feel it looking at them from behind her.
The first few signs were hard to miss. Ward was able to stay up for several days and nights going on surveys. Except she started sleeping through entire days, getting up at specific times, went out to catch, and repeat. Her throw accuracy topped even that of Captain Cyllene, though according to the Professor she would occasionally break a ball on a tree. Secondly—Ward never seemed to get dirty despite being in the wilds for so long. How ironic dirtiness would be more normal than her spotless ness.
Pokemon caught by the corps member would rarely if not ever misbehave. She tamed them in some unseen ways but even too-powerful ones who ignored her commands never grew hostile. They were too frightened to tell her off for sending out Pokemon inside Jubilife Village.
(Marie seemed to be affected when she didn’t mind how peculiar the Pokemon were. How did a wooden fence stop them from rampaging???)
It could also predict what their requests were going to be. Ward spent many weeks religiously catching Buizel before taking Dorian’s request. His new Buizel was the exact size he had been looking for to aid his original one. Beauregard got three new Wurmples with the being saying something about Beautifly being impossible to get with one. And wasn’t that a shock! The non-human thing would make rare comments on issues—it seemed to have selective hearing...
A rather startling surprise came when it left Ward standing in place. She didn’t talk but they heard her hum, saw her fidget, even stretch.
Never did the being get truly mad. Frustrated over losing the chance to catch a rare Pokemon was the closest. But a poor Agriculture corps man was left shaking after Ward listened to him talk about his Cherrim request. Kichi described the absolute hate directed at him for half hour from it. First, he felt its gaze focus on him more intently than a casual glance over. Then he could feel the thing glaring at him and its voice complained so much about how stupid Cherrim was! He just wanted to see the complete entry!
It got mad enough to leave Ward stuck for a few minutes in front of Kichi. So. The entity didn’t like all Pokemon as its dedication to the Pokedex project indicated...............
========
Otherwise, us playing through Day and Night cycles. Sleeping at camp. Getting through requests as quickly as possible. And hearing about the dreaded Cherrim quest yet not knowing who exactly gave it to us.
I might write more of this. What do you think?
These ideas are very interesting, building off of that last ask 👀
Idk, just the idea of characters being wary of a ‘vessel’ is pretty neat.
To everyone, it’s just weird. No one really knows how to react to the hero, seeing as they are just… only somewhat there? Just a puppet to whoever is really in control. It makes conversations… tense.
And seeing everything they do… being able to sleep like a rock without moving a muscle, as much as needed, at any time. It has people on edge. Especially since despite how the hero may sleep in the weirdest places at the weirdest times, pokemon don’t attack the camp.
Sometimes the hero will just stare in the fields at nothing, standing there for hours. Sometimes even days.
If you watch them long enough, you start to notice how often they repeat thing. The same exact stretch, the same exact look around, the exact same hum.
It’s unnerving.
Sometimes the people think it’s better if they leave the hero alone…
Best not to poke the beast behind the hero. The one they cannot see.

What's your opinion of Irene and the Divine Warriors? What were their dynamics?
Personal, a joke headcanon I have is that Irene is like a neurodivergent Jesus who doesn't pick up on social cues (romantic or otherwise) and is completely oblivious to the Shad/Esmund/(Enki) love square she's caught in. Menphia and Kul'zak are in the background cracking up and panicking because they're basically babysitting a God-like deity (Irene) with the mental awareness of a five-year-old, a traumatized possessive Great dane (shad), a giant Golden retriever (Esmund), and most of their days are consumed with trying not to let Enki die in the crossfire
Before I get into my opinions, I think that joke headcanon is super funny. Also, I'll refer to the Divine Warriors as DW during this entire thing just to make it more easier to write and everything.
As a whole, I believe they are a very dysfunctional family. The way I see them, none of them have romantic feelings for one another as I do not feel as if any of them have the time to even have emotional connections like romance. They all used to be the best of friends, but as the weight of being important people and powers came crashing down on them, so did their friendships.
Some dynamics include:
Enki and Kul'Zak: These two are the closest out of the bunch, they are good friends and trust each other with every fiber in their body. However, to history and to the others, these two rarely interacted. Most of their friendship was hidden within letters sent between the two of them.
Irene and Shad: I hated the dynamic between these two on the show. Like.. they loved each other.. but like they didn't? In my opinion, They are polar opposites, both power wise, personality wise, and philosophy wise. They butt heads a lot, but they have their moments. To me, they are the type of found family siblings that will insult and throw punches at each other, but god forbid someone else insults one or the other.
Now, like their names suggest, They all had jobs within the group, though all acted alone and were all worshiped by different groups of people.
Irene was obviously the healer of the group due to what her powers are and what her name suggests. Here's the thing, I believe her powers are like.. too god-like for an entity described multiple times to be a mortal being. Like.. bring people back to life?? Its like a badly written OC. While I do believe she has the best healing capabilities, and some healing powers, I do not think she should be able to bring people back to life. However, she is the person who makes healing medicine a thing to be studies, and not just something left to witches or healing magic users. She started the idea of doctors.
Enki is the keeper. As the name suggests, he is the keeper of all knowledge, he records everything that has happened within the divine warriors, history that has happened in every nation. I like to think that he has a giant library hidden deep beneath the earth's core. It is like the library of Alexandria, but it has never been found. Most scholars do not believe it exists. But it does.
Esmund the protector. I think he has some pretty cool magic, and since we don't know what is powers are, I am going to make something up. He is the protector, meant to protect the people and his matron. I believe he has the power to harden his skin, but he does not use this to his advantage during fights, he only uses it when the fight is getting tough (which rarely happens). I also believe is a tall, buff man. Intimidating to anyone who does not know him, but he has a giant heart.
Kul'Zak the wanderer. He goes between nations, gathers history, records art, records the people and rulers of villages, and also the resident map maker. He and Enki work close together to fill the library up to anything that can fit into it. Also, he blends in so much that it was no wonder that people did not know he was the wanderer.
Shad the destroyer. I believe his old title was Shad the fighter. Unlike Esmund, Shad was always on the front lines fighting. He never really protected anyone, but he was sure a fighter. He was the type to blindly go at it when it came to war, and it had gotten him in trouble many of times with the other DW. He got the title of destroyer during the war. The title of fighter is only kept within the Library that Enki has. Books and other history was destroyed in the book burning of history books.
Menphia the fury. She was usually in the back of wars, having magic that allowed things to fall from the sky to attack enemy lines. Things like fireballs and such. The reason why she is not so talked about is because she wanted it that way. She did not want to be known, she did not want to be remembered. In some regions, the story of the raining fireballs became that of myth, became a story. One that only happens during war full of magical energy converging. Menphia only wanted to live a quiet life, not fight others, espessially people she used to call her friends.
This took forever to type up but coming up with ideas like this was fun !!!!!

last night i turned to my friend and said “did you know that adam and belle are in love and they’re soulmates and they’re Super In Love Forever?” and my friend of course replied “what????? i had NO idea!!!!” but then they proceeded to ask me if i thought there was actually some kind of soulmates trope that was applied to them. like if they were legitimate canon soulmates drawn together by the forces in their universe. they struggled to explain what they meant and i struggle to elaborate here, but i get what they’re asking. and i started to answer the question but then the conversation got derailed because we were at a social gathering. but anyway, i’m gonna answer it here because i keep thinking about it :)
my answer is: kind of, yeah! setting aside my obvious belief that adam and belle were made for each other, that even they themselves believe they were born to be together, even everyone in their world having an undeniable faith in their love, them being FAMOUS for being a very in love royal couple… i think there was an element of fate involved.
i saw someone once say that they thought maybe agathe sort of led belle to adam. and i think about that A LOT.
it wasn’t a direct thing where agathe possessed belle and drew her there physically, but it was little things. it was agathe under the guise of a peasant woman, noticing belle day-to-day. it was that deleted scene of them interacting and belle giving agathe the jar of jam she had bought for herself. it was agathe seeing into belle’s heart (the exact same way she saw into adam’s) and seeing THE MOST kindness, THE MOST love. i think agathe slowly realized that belle would be her champion.
my thing about agathe is, i don’t believe she was cruel for the sake of being cruel. if she was the kind of entity that existed upon hate, she would have turned adam into a bear (or something) and just cast him into the woods without any hope of changing back. she could have done a million different things to give him a tortured life with no escape. she could have punished him as much as he deserved, without any grace or mercy. but she didn’t! she gave him an awful punishment, yes, but she saw in his heart that there was Just Enough room for change. just the SLIGHTEST notion to determine that he was indeed not too far gone. he was horrible and cruel and selfish but she saw that he could be redeemed, given the right circumstances.
i think she would check in on him periodically (maybe by turning into a bird or even going so far as to arriving as another person, just to see how he’d behave) and see if hope was ever truly lost. but it never was! so, cut back to agathe being a peasant woman in the village. she gets acquainted with belle, one of the only people who actually talk to her, and soon realizes belle could be the answer. when maurice goes to the market, i think agathe strikes the tree with lightning, forcing him toward the castle instead. agathe knew that belle would then come after him, and so her champion would be sent in to face her beast.
after that, i don’t think agathe did anything at all. she didn’t hit them with cupid’s bow or change anything about their hearts or minds. she just simply chose the perfect tribute to inspire adam out of his cruel ways.
so, i don’t know. it’s very cool too if it all happened by pure chance!! i’m not opposed to that idea at all. i’m just so intrigued by the thought of agathe orchestrating their meeting, because she WAS fond of belle. maybe agathe didn’t even plan on sending anyone in to try and save adam! but meeting belle inspired HER! she didn’t know if it would work or not, but i think she travels the universe cursing assholes all with the hope that they’ll come out the other side a better person. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. but i like to think she saw the opportunity for adam’s rescue in belle, because her heart had every bit of love that adam’s still needed. she wasn’t certain it would work, for that would be up to them, but hey, maybe she was just the very first adelle shipper, so she took the chance!
and boy did it work!!!
#just theorizing!!! just tossing out a theory!!!#what a post. and i’m not even watching the movie. iconic#batb meta#batb 2017#beauty and the beast (2017)#beauty and the beast 2017

rant about ochette and temenos and their (negative) parallels
all below the cut for endgame spoilers and everything!!!! just me talking to myself n tryna arrange my thoughts on Temenos, Ochette, and hwo they relate and are in a very contrasting position which is also kind of all in one big messed up parallel. I'm sorry; this has gotten very long! i tried my best keeping it short
okay so we all can agree that starting with Temenos' route is probably the most satisfying since it starts with a fight against Vide, right? yeha so i have some things to say about that in relation to Ochette and the entire theme of the game to begin with
Something clearly links Ochette and Temenos togehter, namely Roi. the implication that the dark entity of Ochette's chapter 1 is Roi si well... more than just clear, I'd argue. and ok listen: this entire thing MAY be me overanalyzing stuff. so u now get the
disclaimer: i am a literature student. i am taught to overanalyze everyhting and it's my RIGTH to! so bear with me. i have very elaborate thoughts on Ochette and Temenos and how they reflect each other in a very contrastign way.
Roi: right with the beginning of Ochette's route and Temenos' chapter 3 (it was his ch3 i beleive, right?) we get Roi and a direct parallel between their stories. the thing is just - Temenos' knew Roi while alive. Ochette knew him while sort of dead and then completely dead. and that remains the single connecting dot/parallel where this is the case. everything else is things being dead for temenos and things being alive for ochette
Ochette has an entire support system which grows as she travels; she has Juvah, her parents implied to be alive in a banter, Akala/Mahina; she gains more friends in Pom, Acta the Smol, Glacis, Tera, that other lady whose name i forgot i'm really sorry, and with her help, even the hateful Cohazeh becomes soft towards them all and the entire village makes friends with the Beasting Village.
now for temenos, we have EVERYTHIGN in contrast. he loses everythign as he travels; first Roi, the pontifex, later on crick (sorry for the mention guys). he loses literally everyone he loves, be it platonic or familial or romantic or whatever; and the enemy to him? the sacred guard? yeah he low key destroys that thing for a while. and while that's still GOOD, i can't beleive it weighs lightly on him especialyl since stormhail is in a rather tense situation with the gaurd and the mei clan as hinted by loads of npcs. everythign good that happens to ochette happens to him, but in the exactly contrasting way.
on to trust: i think i don't need to say much here; ochette is ever-trusting, but learns to actively distrust some peopel on her journey, learning about the lies of people (especially humans), while the exact opposite happens to temenos: temenos learns to trust people. not just the travelers but also crick. the issue? it's at least implied, or u can read into it, that he does trust mindt; and he gets betrayed once more. whereas Ochette, even at the very end, still trusts people. she trusts the hunter trying to kill Glacis regardlessly, she trusts Juvah, she even trusts Lajackal/mahamowl and tries making friends with them. she trusts something that wants to kill her, while temenos nearly gets killed by someone he trusted
flame/belief: i quite like the difference of faith u have in those two; temenos, an inquisitor, who still doubts the flame's existence, who doubts the gods' existence because that's just waht he does - linked to his trust issues once more, obviously. even though he's one meant to have an unshakable belief, yet he's quite the shady guy, and while his intentions may be good, he doesn't always condcut things the correct way. well. looks at his path action. yeah. hmm! okay temmy! go off! on the other side, there's ochette - far away from any kind of institutionally organized religion, and the only traveller directly meeting "the flame", which saves her life, proving its existence once and for all when that's somethign temenos has forever doubted
i don't really WANT to go as far as to say ochette died, but she did NEARLY die. as the only one out of the cast of her story, meanwhile, temenos is the only one ALIVE out of the cast of his story (minor characters like orth aside, same goes for some of Ochette's side characters, btu i'm talking mainly here akjfghkd)
i feel like saying that any character of the 8 travelers is more or less important than the others would be wrong; however, i do believe that if we're talking characters that the story build on, Temenos' and Ochette are high up there. we have parallels inside of the traveller of someone who nearly succumbs to darkness and someone who looks forward to the dawn, no matter what. temenos' route starting with Vide, in my opinion, is a great hint at him being sth akin to a "main character", story-telling wise - i like to personally make a distinction between main cahracters and protagonists. e.g. in OT1, the travelers are the protags, while graham (and perhaps kit, too) is the main character, who the story actively centers around.
While Temenos' is the embodiment of shadow, esp with his closer relationship to Throné in the crossed paths, one who was originally meant to be a vessel for Vide and who def had one of the most tragic stories, Ochette is the embodiment of the flame, always looking forward despite any grievances she might have - again, related to castti in her crossed paths.
you get a character who, if he wasn't picked up by the pontifex, by roi, and crick, might have been part of the moonshade order otherwise - and a character who is so determinedly looking forward to the dawn that she would have never considered it.
my conclusion? I love temmy and ochette a ot and i cannot keep anythign i say short. anyways there's no conclsion these are just rants. if u read that then uh, congrats! u have witnessed my insanity! :)

Howdy! ;P
If you got that reference, good for you! I'm starting an Undertale comic based on my initial interpretation of the story and characters, and it also ties into my TWOF AU. Obviously, being part of an AU, it has some deviations from the canon, which I'll list here along with the characters:
First, there's Frisk and Chara. The reason I made both of them girls is because way back when I was first starting to roam the Internet and came across Undertale, I watched a dub of the Deeper Down comic, and in that comic, Frisk was addressed as female, and that's been my headcanon ever since. As for Chara, her name just sounded female to me. Also, Frisk is the reincarnation of Chara, which is why they share a Soul trait. Chara was about 15 when she died and Frisk is 12 when she travels through the Underground, so Chara is three inches taller than Frisk.
Flowey, in this AU, is actually a good guy (but still retains some of his sass and snarkiness from the original) and accompanies Frisk through her journey. Despite carrying some of Asriel's essence, he doesn't remember anything from Asriel's life or why he was born as a flower. This is because when Asriel collapsed and turned into dust, it was his chest portion that fell onto the flower that would become Flowey instead of his head, which is what carried his memories and would've resulted in the Flowey we all know and love. That being said, Flowey and Asriel are completely separate entities in this AU. Flowey was about 20 years old by the time Frisk fell.
(Also, just to save my sanity, I'll be using a different Omega Flowey design. Maybe the one from @scaletale-au, since it's pretty much the only pretty Omega Flowey out there, and also the design is just so badass, I couldn't resist.
Speaking of Asriel, here's the Dreemurr boy himself! When he died, he wandered the Underground in his adult form (the form he traveled to Chara's village with when their Souls were fused) as a shadow more than anything, which I'll post here in a minute. As he watched over his family and the monsters and saw Toriel taking care of the fallen humans, he became jealous and resentful, thinking that his mother was just replacing him as if she had forgotten him completely. This is how he became evil and corrupted, but all that is solved when Frisk reaches out to him and helps him remember his sister Chara, and the Hate is expelled from him, but he's still in his adult form (except his robe is purple instead of black and his eyes are green like normal and he has no face stripes).
I'm also thinking that when Asriel regains his physical form, he imprisons Asgore and claims the throne as King of the Underground, having his Hyper Goners hunt down Frisk and her friends while the other monsters hide in Home, the old city.
Here's the goat parents, Toriel and Asgore! When she first met Frisk, Toriel felt as if she was looking at an old friend (Deja-Vu), and when Asgore met Frisk, he commented on how much she reminded him of Chara (remember the "same hope in your eyes" line?). The morning after Frisk and Asgore stopped fighting, Toriel at last made it to Frisk, and she and Asgore made up and got back together.
Sans and Papyrus are relatively the same, only they have tongues and Sans wears sneakers instead of slippers, and Papyrus becomes a little more mature near the end (but not enough to spoil his excitable personality) as Asriel makes himself known to the Underground and asserts himself as a threat. Undyne also appoints Papyrus as a Royal Guard to help them rise up against Asriel. They're the sons of Gaster, and their mom Bree is alive and well (I have yet to make a design for her) and she lives in New Home.
Undyne doesn't change very much, except she has a tail and arm fins because yes. She also turns into her Undying form to protect Frisk from Asriel. As for backstory, her parents were named Jainil and Adella, and they ran the Royal Guard before they died and she took their place (she was born after the Human-Monster War, not before).
Alphys doesn't change much either, except I gave her pants. She assisted Gaster in conducting the Determination experiments, so the Amalgamates were not entirely her fault, although she was still the one who injected the flower with Determination and unintentionally brought Flowey to life.
Mettaton doesn't change at all, he's still the same, except he changes into his NEO form to fight Asriel. Of course, he was a ghost like Napstablook, but then he became friends with Alphys and she gave him a robot body, and that's how he became a TV star.
Finally, there's Gaster and Shadow!Asriel. Gaster doesn't change much, except that he appears a bit more often and guides Frisk and Flowey through the True Lab. As for Shadow!Asriel, it's just Asriel's corrupted ghost form and he haunts Frisk throughout her entire journey, and is the one to taunt her at the end of the Ruins instead of Flowey.
Here's the draft for the cover of The Final Fall!
Here's the synopsis:
The Angel, the Fallen One, the One Who Has Seen the Surface...She will return...and the Underground will go empty.
This is the prophecy of Frisk, a human girl who many would call "too determined for her own good". After climbing Mount Ebott and falling into a world of monsters, Frisk makes several friends and even gains a talking flower as a little brother. Every time she falls asleep in this new world, she has odd dreams of people from the past; they're familiar, but not recognizable. They feel like family, but Frisk never knew them. But nothing can prepare her for the end of her journey...or the secret that will change her life forever.
Anyway, that's all for now, and I hope you guys like it! Let me know what you think about it!

i did character moodboards but instead its the characters i drew inspiration from over the years
(very long) rambles to the void below // // its very long. heed this warning.
ok first off; Hydra! she first started off as a roleplay character back in the 2016 minecraft hypixel housing roleplay days. your generic ender dragon girl hybrid kinda thing. whole reason why i call myself hydra, she's basically my persona atp
years would go by and she'd later have her own separate story instead of a bunch of one-offs with just 'feral edgy dragon hybrid girl' as a template
she's an unhinged, loose cannon who's generally outcasted by society. all four characters: jinx, nimona, surge and catra are seen by this.
with jinx, mainly her growing up being rough which shapes her to become the feral loose cannon she is. also a twisted father figure. sounds familiar.
with nimona, its mostly just the unhinged-ness and outcast traits. also her personality, with being reckless and rushing in without a plan but also emotionally unstable, easily irritated and fragile.
with surge, its her whole gist of being an experimented cyborg-esque character, with the purpose of surpassing a highly-renowned figure (sonic) -- at the cost of forgetting who she used to be before. yeah i stole that whole thing and threw it onto hydra/hj . once again emotionally unstable due to not knowing who she used to be, and her purpose was created by someone else, not for herself. once that someone else is out of the picture, she'd go on to struggle purpose for herself, whilst being haunted by her past. i think surge is the Major inspiration for hydra here tbh
aaand finally, catra. i /could/ compare adora and catra's relationship to hydra and lyura's, but its very minor. they both grew up together, fought together, played together; but as they grew up, they'd grow distant away from each other. up until the point where they have completely differing ideals and views. and betrayal, there's hints of betrayal in there. and once again, emotionally unstable. i think there's a pattern here
////
okaayy, next up is Intoxicate! he actually started off as an oc completely based around angor rot (top middle). like, entirely angor rot, just furrified. you can probably see his old art on his toyhouse if you scroll down on his gallery. i hate looking at it but its a nice memory. he was always meant to be some sort of antagonist in the Wings' Ascent story, but i didn't really know where to take it
anyways he's a cult leader now, deemed as one of the most powerful Lights in the galaxy. very charismatic, yet ruthless. a deeper motivation to serve his god to save one life; a life so dear to him. tbh its giving gabriel agreste HELP
not much with neuvilette since i haven't played genshin's fontaine region (nor do i plan to, i just really like neuvi). he's the dragon sovereign iirc? more powerful than the archons themselves. authoritative and strong, those were the traits i gave intox. also similar hair.
i already spoke about angor rot - whole reason why intox exists in the first place. also the blue spots over his body, idk if there's story to that in the franchise but i stole that and made it like some sort of terminal disease on intox, just to make things dire.
lunatic cultist - i mean not much to say. intox serves the Lunatic Star. cultist serves the Moon Lord. i think its self-explanatory
suguru geto !! i love u geto cult leader, aand adopted two daughters that he basically saved from a village about to execute them. intox basically adopted tohka when she had nothing else. also charismatic yet manipulative demeanour. also hair. to that one person who compared human intox to geto, and i have never seen jjk ever, you are the reason i watched jjk in the first place. thanks
gary miller - cult leader. ruthless, cruel, sacrificial. would do anything for the entities he worships. also seems charming, yet manipulative. i do find the garyjohn ship silly and cute yet twisted
the lamb from cult of the lamb. oh boy, so unexpected. in intox's backstory, he dies through beheading but is brought to the Lunatic Star from death instead of being sent off to the heavens. Lunar promises him she will save Amaera, if he vows to serve her and gain her freedom from her shackles. very similar to the Lamb who was also beheaded and sent to the One Who Waits/Narinder, who promises vengeance in exchange of starting a cult to gain him power
////
ok finally, Trojan! honestly if you're still reading thanks for listening to my dumb rambles about my ocs ??? really appreciate it lol even if im just talking to the void
oh he's a weird one. created him in 2021 i believe? which was when the project renekton skin was released (2nd row on the right). i also wanted a scientist character. so basically, i combined the two. red/orange lizard and scientist. anyways i never drew him again
ok he's back now. repurposed him and fit him into hydra's story so that he's the scientist who created her (i forgot what her story was beforehand, other than experimentation, though i think it was just an scp foundation situation). originally meant to be a very cruel and very evil scientist, but i started liking the idea that he'd be more paternal and fatherly to her, and then slowly losing that sense as he gained more power and more involved with his research.
basically, mad scientist with a child experiment.
abrahm valentin - i actually dont understand the iris lore tbh. i do know that he killed his brother and repurposed his remains/nervous system into some sort of circus attraction, whilst his brother remained conscious. trojan killed his father and repurposed him into a powerful machine (H4YW1RE). also abrahm's pretty insane. like deadass insane.
dr clef - i think this was one of the original inspirations back when i first created him. doctor/researcher for the scp foundation, but he's anomalous himself. also batshit insane
dr starline - he's connected to surge's story, whole reason why she exists. similar to how hydra/lyura only exist because of him. also voice claims are generally a posh british accent. that's as far as that goes.
draedon. ough i love draedon. a powerful scientist and researcher who transferred his whole conscious into this mechanical body. built crazy powerful technology; armour for a literal godslayer, a worm god, dangerous robots, etcetc. also i liked the idea that he had multiple labs across the continent, but as he grew more powerful and gained more knowledge, those labs became abandoned.
project renekton - similar to angor rot to tox, he's the major inspiration and starting point of trojan. though the inspiration mainly came from his aesthetics, and a tiny hint of unhinged personality but thats it really
lysandre, ooh this one's interesting. his ideal was that the world was no longer beautiful, instead growing uglier, so he wanted to create a perfect world by ridding all of imperfection. trojan's ideals are heavily based around perfection and transcending the Stars and their flaws. also lysandre was seen as a very influential figure, who's technology was basically everywhere in kalos. trojan was the same, just on a wider galactical scale. a very renowned scientist, where most tech of akr'byx could be traced back to him.
viktor - pretty much the same as lysandre, only that he replaced his body and augmented it with machinery as he saw it far superior than flesh.
i dont actually remember what viggo grimborn's inspo was other than his voice claim. maybe also for his charming yet manipulative demeanour
boothill was actually meant to be up there but i didnt have space !! his backstory is Very similar to trojan where they both lose a loved one and died just after, yet brought back via augmentation of their body.
ANYWAYS. thats the end. im so tired. thanks if you read all of this. im not reading back there's probably mistakes and i will probably die of cringe. woohoo i love having favourite characters then stuffing them into ocs

For the ygo asks: The Spirit of the Millennium Ring
Why I like them / Why I don't
Yami Bakura was literally my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh character growing up the first time I watched Yu-Gi-Oh, all the way up until I reread the manga earlier this year.
I love the way he foils Yami Yugi, the way his and Ryou's relationship is the complete opposite. His relationship with Marik (my first Yu-Gi-Oh ship). I love how it seems like he has his original memories unlike the pharaoh and acts like a completely separate entity from Ryo, and yet for some reason is just really into DND. He literally made and painted custom miniatures to seal yugi and his friends in. That's going the extra mile. He's like a 5,000 year old bandit there's literally no reason for him to be this into board games.
The foiling gets even better when you realize that Yami was the monarch who was in power partially because his kingdom committed a genocide and slaughtered Thief King Bakura's own village and Bakura is really just retaliating from the people who did a genocide against him, and stealing back the millenium items that were created from the lives of everyone in his village.
Bakura would be my favorite character if his character hadn't ended the way that he did. Thief King bakura is just a thousand times more interesting than Zorc, and I dislike the reveal that Yami Bakura is actually a mixture of Thief King and Zorc, it makes him a flatter character. He's just like an evil guy rather than a vengeful spirit that's hated the pharaoh for five thousand years.
What I like about their appearance
I love the bat wings on his hair that go up when Yami takes over. It makes him look like a big white fluffy chicken that will scratch and bite you the moment you try to pick it up.
Do I prefer their dub names or original names?
Same name!
OTP
THIEFSHIPPING! The duel against Yami Marik where they bicker like an old married couple the entire time and Yami Bakura actually gets FLUSTERED when Yami Mark calls them out is legendary. Yu Gi Oh abridged didn't even have to change that much about that duel, it was already pretty gay.
NOTP
Ehhhhh don't have one?
OT3
This is techincally an OT4, but Ryo, Yami Bakura, Marik and Yami Marik would be the messiest poly quad. Imagine two dudes dating who are actually four dudes.
Favourite card they use
Final! It's fun to see decks that are built around an alternate win condition.
Favourite moment they were in
Already said this but Yami Bakura and Marik's tag team duel. A close second place is when Bakura stabbed himself to help Marik's plan within like five minutes of meeting him.
Least favourite moment
Already said this above but the reveal that Bakura is like half Zorc. In general the final arc starts out so strong, but making Zorc the final boss is a bad move because Bakura is so much more interesting as a protagonist. Really hate the part where he just dissolves into sand. Also having like four bakuras running around, thief king, the one that's playing the board game, Zorc, and another one in the game that duels Joey is just really confusing.

So there's something so goddamn compelling about Rinne being indigenous ainu and his storyline it keeps driving me goddamn crazy.
Rinne is intelligent he is curious he wants to know about the world and what he finds is that his people are ostracized, they are seen as inferior, but there is a nuance to it that is so powerful compared to the usual straight up "I love all my culture and people" indigenous characters we usually see.
Rinne also resents his upbringing, he does not like how they hate embracing change, how they hate embracing technology, or the wonders of the world. He hates how conservative they are, he thinks they should move on despite it all, so his own community resents him for that, and when he goes to the city, the city resents him for who he is.
He is alone.
And he goes: Fuck that I am a monarch, I am smart and gorgeous I am going to take over the world! And he decides to become the most powerful entity in the world who are beloved by everyone, because he was never loved for who he truly was in the past. He becomes an idol. And he is amazing at it.
And he does not lose his integrity, he absolutely says fuck the system at every turn, cause chaos. The thing compared to other characters is that because of his status, because of how he is, Rinne has nothing to lose in this gamble against the institution.
No matter if he bends down or not, he will always be inferior. He cannot take a break from it. I do headcanon that since HE did not want to give he and Hiiro a darker skintone that the bright blue eyes and red hair are so striking they are a given to their origin instead. No matter where Rinne go he will always be stepped down and there are two choices to that either you wallow in misery or you stand up and fight and he will do the latter until he dies. His first motivation is that he knows he deserves better than every other privileged person who can ignore those issues, but to say he did not care about the movement is false too, even if he has himself first. Because Rinne has Hiiro. He wants his brother who he loves so much and want to protect to not live in a world where he is ostracized, where he has to come to those awful realities.
That is why Eichi brought Hiiro to ES. To cripple Rinne. Eichi knows that Rinne has a soft spot for his brother. Unlike Eichi, Rinne cannot bring himself to actually exploit people for his goals because he knows how it is to be exploited, he has been his entire life. Rinne is so so scared about Hiiro being hurt the same way he has been. The same way their people have been. Despite Rinne disliking their home village, Hiiro thrived in it. He was safe. And seeing Hiiro being exposed to everything makes him so scared. It is not that Rinne does not think Hiiro cannot handle things like friends squabbles or going to a more numerous school. Rinne is afraid that Hiiro will be faced with the traumatic wounds of systemic persecution which he has no control over. Rinne drinks. He gambles. Everyday his struggle facing colonization and not being able to escape from it is infinitely heavy. And he does not want this weight on his brother. The entire purpose of the main story arc was Rinne seeing that Hiiro was ok, that he was surrounded by a precious support group, and to let him spread his wings despite very, very real fears.
The writing does not explicitly say it but I totally see it, it is as coded as they are. And that is the thing, from where he comes from, a place with next to no privilege at all, Rinne cannot bring himself to exploit people. This is what makes him an antihero and not a villain. When doing the smear camping of the other units, he never did release anything too personal to hurt the people behind the units, he used things which hurt the brand of the units, something impersonal when I'm sure he's had plenty of more hurtful things. For example Rei it is way too easy to smear UNDEAD through Rei's past and yet Rinne did not, he attacked UNDEAD as a whole, for being temporarily an enemy, Rinne did not, unlike literally every enemy in Rei's life, put a target on the weak spot. And what is this? This is the sign of a good leader. A leader who is ruthless but has a heart to not be cruel.
And the headband. The headband. God I love it. Rinne loves the city life. He loves the modern life. Way way more than he loves the way of living in his home village. But it is still a part of him that he is proud of despite what he says. It is a nuance. And him wearing the headband everyday is proof of that. It's his crown as chieftain. It's part of him. And I love that for him. And there is another weight to him having to take it off every time he goes on stage as an idol. He has no stage outfit where the headband is present and I'm like AAAAA RInneeeeee. And during their time as a duo I think that Rinne definitely opened up about his difficulties to Niki. And Niki is extremely supportive. Them eloping together… my heart. Niki does not have to be 100% aware of every intricacy but he sees how much Rinne care and actually trusts him and believe him. Trust is something Rinne was never given when showing all his colors and Niki is the first and even currently the only one who does that. That's so powerful. Niki is the reason Rinne can keep on going because despite his ambitions and his energy, at the end of the day Rinne is human. He needs a home. He needs someone to be present and just love him. And Niki is that for him.
I said it before but with Endless Vide... if Niki was gone, Rinne would break. With Kohaku, Rinne sees part of himself. Kohaku is from an isolated traditional family and Rinne is happy to be here while he is discovering the world. Part of him wants to protect him, but also know Kohaku is strong enough to take care of himself. Rinne does not react as emotionally to Kohaku as he does with Hiiro.
With HiMERU, Rinne understands what it is to want to protect your family at all cost, no matter how destructive it is. He is more well adjusted when it comes to Hiiro, but seeing HiMERU, he understands. It is a path he could see himself having taken and he respects it. But he also knows how heavy the weight of that burden is. And he is supportive of HiMERU's choice but also gives him a safe space to let go. Rinne does not have a "I will make Crazy:B my found family" mindset, but because he is such a kind and good leader, he naturally has people attracted to him. Despite the chaos, despite his burdens. People even without realizing feel the qualities he has and he amass people around him who would go through everything with him. And that is so poetic and beautiful.

1, 4, and 12 for jet and 19 & 22 for party
1. Why are they Like That™? What makes them tick ever so slightly off? — Jet Star
jet’s formative years were spent with loving parents in a big community of kids and a few other adults who helped take care of all the motorbabies in the caravan. it takes a village, you know? and that is why jet is…more emotionally balanced? than a lot of other desertborns. her parents gave her a lot of love growing up and made sure they knew they could always come back to them for help even after she found her own crew. that’s what makes jet so open, outgoing, friendly with other ‘joys, which is consequently what led to the fab four forming in the first place!
4. Thoughts on vampires? (not dracs. very different) — Jet Star
weeeell…i think jet is only like…VAGUELY aware of the concept of vampires outside of draculoids. as a concept she’s pretty indifferent to them, i think. jet’s not the type to really think they’re interesting, especially since dracs have sort of warped the idea of vampires and tainted them for ‘joys, particularly desertborns. jet doesn’t really think that blood-sucking creatures of the night are particularly appealing, when it comes to things that may or may not actually exist she’s much more interested in “positive” or benevolent kinds of entities (the Witch and Destroya included). that is, of course, unless we’re talking about very specifically my supernatural creatures AU, in which case “present company excluded” is her stance on things.
12. Who did they have the hardest time trusting from their crew/friends? — Jet Star
HM. that’s a really hard one, because jet is so open and trusting by nature. she’s really willing to extend an open hand and take a chance on folks, hoping that if she shows kindness to people she’ll be repaid in kind by their trust. that being said, i think out of her crew, the person she had the hardest time trusting was actually kobra. party, to jet, was easy to read — they were shy and awkward but weren’t threatening, despite their posturing, and they would just lurk around jet until eventually they got close enough that party started to open up. kobra, however…he was polite enough, but he’s pretty stoic and closed-off. hard to read. he can almost seem emotionless, and even for someone as willing to extend their trust as jet, it was just…really hard for her to get a read on him. obviously they eventually learned to trust each other, to the point where when ghoul started to come around jet had no qualms about trusting him, because kobra vouched for him. but for a while there, when jet had just met party and kobra and obviously didn’t know anything about either of them yet, kobra was definitely a hard nut to crack and that made it take longer for jet to warm up to him.
19. What’s something they’ve never quite got over? — Party Poison
tw for grooming of a minor: party’s supervising ‘crow in the city when they were a scarecrow trainee was korse. they were right at the top of their class, and got “special attention” allegedly because of that. at least, that’s the reason korse told them. they were pretty young — between the ages of eleven and fourteen — and didn’t really realize that what was happening was bad, even. they just thought they were special. it took them until they were already out in the Zones to realize that they had been groomed, and it made them feel…violated. scared. they can put on a brave face, fake a lot of confidence in a firefight, but…they’ll never be over it. and they’ll always be scared of korse, even if they refuse to show it.
22. Do they ever want to return/go to Battery City? If not, is there something that could make them change their mind? — Party Poison
no. party hates the city the most out of everyone in their crew. they hate who they were in the city, they hate the things they were complicit in (and they hate the things that happened to them), and they would never want to return to Batt City, especially once they realized they were nonbinary, and once they’d fallen in love, they were entirely aware of the fact that they would never have been allowed those things if they’d stayed. i honestly don’t think there’s anything that could make them change their mind…i don’t count the underground as “going back to batt city” so i think if worst came to worst they could maybe be convinced to go back to the city in that sense. and of course, they’ve gone back to Batt City to rescue the girl, and to get ghoul back from reconditioning. however, they would never, willingly, return to Battery City as a citizen.
ty for the ask, marz :]

I'm sorry I'm not a good writer at all, but a pilot to the illagers in my world and this whole story
World lore
2000 years after the first creatures came to life in this world, made by The God (equal to the server moderator, who can delete or change the worl anytime he wants to) and protected by The Guardians (not the literal ocean monsters, but humanoid entities like Entity 303 or Null, their job is looking over and fixing a certain part of the world, like nature, animals, mobs, things like that, so The God can do other, more important things). Villagers were created to help the world in some way, to make it full of life, to make villages, to create, to love, to bring some color into this lifeless world that only had monsters and animals, the really primitive mobs living in it. Maybe a 100 years later, due to something being put into the water, the pregnant villagers gave birth to strange, grey-skinned villagers. At first they didn't think much, but as all babies in most villages were born grey, they knew something was off. The witches on the other hand didn't know a cure, nor what happened, so the babies, that they called ill villagers because of their difference in behavior. These ill villagers were more curious, violent and looked pale and that was considered a sign of illness for the villagers. Later on, these ill villagers came together, after being chased out of the villages for murder and vandalism, and they thought about making and empire of their own.
On that day, the first, and most noble evoker and vindicator families were created:
Evokers:
Nova (the current evoker and all illager's captain)
Irie, Vito (most noble evoker families also I'll probably put more family names here in the future)
Vindicators:
Esmeralda (emerald medal, highest rank, most respected, high standards and expectations, this is also the family where most people, especially women are tend to be suicidal due to not being good enough and lack of respect for them)
Lazulia (lapis lazuli medal, still high rank, a bit friendlier, better conditions)
Veresh (redstone medal, they're not that respected and treated as less noble that Esm. and Laz., and because of wanting to prove that they're also a powerful vindicator family, the expectations are very high and there are no women in these families, unlike in Esm. or Laz.)
Arkan (the lowest of them all, really hated and not respected, seen as the weakest, mostly made up of old men and women because of the lack of reproduction)
These families live in separate mansions, one evoker family, who controls the mansion's everyday life with one vindicator family, who's duty is training vindicators and repairing the mansion, any hard physical jobs that need to be done basically, and the others (evokers from other families, fighter and guard vindicators (like the ones roaming the mansion halls in Minecraft) and vindicator maids, who are untrained, mostly young women)
There are some villagers in the mansion too, spies and slaves, spies are there for a short period of time until they get a village to live in and get information of it that the spy tells to the illagers during raids or every month, when illagers go to the villages to take food and other items from them in exchange for peace. Slaves on the other hand do farming and mining, things like that. But since they have braindead vindicators, these villager slaves aren't necessary and only kept there to make villagers fear them and obey them more.
I think that's all, it anyone read this, thank you so much!!!!! I'm really a beginner when it comes to writing and just using English, so if I made any mistakes I'm really sorry.
And before you call me sexist, illagers in my world are like that, they're also homophobic and racist, don't cancel me for that. They seemed like that to me and since these are mostly old, grumpy people they're gonna be like that to me.

|An exception| part 1
Summary: Reader is the area's best demon hunter, considered as a protector, she is the village's hero. One day she get's cornered by a powerful entity, but she gets saved by something unexpected, starting a new relationship.
Your life has considerably changed since you became a hunter. Your village was often attacked by demons and other entities since you were a teenager. All you remember is that your old man used to train you to hunt simple deers and rabbits for the village. One day the first attack begun and your parents both died.
While you were terrified of the creature which just turned you into an orphan, your rage outsized your fear as you grabbed a spear your father gave you in your 11th birthday and stabbed the demon's head apart from it's body.
Since then, you have been fighting against these horrible creatures to protect your village with your special spear to avenge your memories with your parents. The village eventually named you "Lancea, the huntress" and recognize you as the best hunter of many who swore to protect these lands from any demon...
Back to present, you were thinking about how weird it felt to be like this, to have people calling you by a nickname and not your actual name. " Well, that's what happens with superheroes like iron man, hulk or captain america back in the city, right?" You thought for a moment, cleaning some leaves that got on your hair.
_____
Stephen hated whenever the guilt was too strong, to be a murderer and a monster, and not being able to save Christine... Damn it, he could still hear her last words "what did you do?"
"We both know you did this to yourself" Uatu said from the distance
"I know, Watcher! I know!" Stephen roared, inmediatly after Uatu spoke
"And that's why i'm here" Uatu's line caught Stephen's attention "you have proved to be truly regretful and conscious of your mistakes, so i have a deal for you" Uatu glared at Stephen
"Hmf, Tell me about it" Stephen finally spoke
"I'll let you get out of here, find love again and have a way to spend your time. If you help me with absolute menaces to the multiverse"
"Alright, if that will make me get out of this hell, then so be it"
"Just a warning, where i'm bringing you, hideous creatures threat the local poblation. If you shift and the village's protector; lancea, sees you, she will attack you without doubt"
Stephen chuckled "whoever she is, i don't think she can do too much against me anyways"
"Just be careful and learn how to change back to normal" Uatu sighed and with a light, teleported Stephen out of his prison.
Stephen appeared on a farm's corner, next to some kind of food market. He tried to continue his way, walking through the village.
"How am i gonna know Lancea's appearance if Uatu didn't describe her?" Stephen thought
"A demon!" He heard a child voice yell, did he shift? No... he didn't feel tentacles slipping through his limbs and his hands weren't clawed "Sir, run!" The child grabbed his arm and pulled him to the contrary direction of what the kid truly saw
There was a wolf sized goblin like creature which slowly crawled it's way out of the dirt, baring it's teeth at the kid and Stephen, before turning on it's back to see a woman with a brown suit and a spear on her hands, was that, Lancea?
Stephen noticed the kid ran away, and when he turned to look at you you were already fighting the creature
"Sir! You gotta get out of here, it's not safe" you yelled
Stephen swallowed, he noticed the creature's strenght as it threw you to the floor and stopped you from getting up. He really wanted to help, but he didn't want to risk everything by shifting. He ran to a place without people so nobody could see him shift.
It was painful for sure but he couldn't allow himself to let someone die, not again.
You were struggling with the creature's jaw trying to get into your head, only kept away from it by your spear, then it threw your spear away, and when it was about to kill you, something strong pulled it backwards. When you stood up on your feet you went horrified; a way bigger demon grabbed it with...tentacles? You realized it had even more features, but your pain made you collapse into the ground so you didn't see it on detail.
Stephen snarled at the creature with sharper teeth. Surprisingly enough, it wasn't fighting back, it was actually scared of him.
"Oh, you too?" Stephen thought, even a beastly and aggresive creature was scared of him.
Stephen ended it up by blasting a spell which burned down the creature to atoms.
"Lancea, help! There's another one!" A woman yelled, but you were unconscious by the loss of blood
"It's the devil himself!" "Kill it!" "Mom, i'm scared"
But Stephen knew there was no time to hear the frightened people, he dissapeared and watched from far how people carried you to your home so you could get a rest.
He had to check you were okay...

i love love LOVE character studies with Kakashi where they analyze his weird-ass reputation and dynamic with older shinobi and how he's viewed by the community as a whole- on one hand he's stuck working with the same people he vividly remembers sneering at his father after his mission and even some who didnt approve of him even after sakumo's death, and then some people think he's a bloodthirsty killer that cannot be contained (what is this animosity fueled by? his father's reputation? the out of control rumors after obito and rin's death? hatred because he's so much more younger and capable than them? that kakashi is so rule abiding yet also unconventional in such strange ways that he feels like an uncontrollable entity all together therefore people look on him with caution and distrust? it depends, it could be all)
some people think he's a hard-ass, some people think he's a lazy but decorated weirdo (some perhaps speculate favoritism? his sensei was the esteemed yondaime and he did fly through the ranks so quickly even tho he acts like a pervert with his nose always stuck in a book and even tsunade-sama trusts and values his opinion- nevermind that he flew through the ranks even before minato became hokage, idiots speculate whatever they want to fuel their prejudiced agenda)
even when he proves himself time and time again, loathing is implanted in peoples heads towards his unorthodox attitude and teachings (when he was younger they thought of him as a know-it-all who should know his place and shouldnt be so blatantly "flaunting" his prowess to older shinobi, he expelled so many students and his first team ended so horribly why did they even allow him to be sensei in the first place- his students all grew under the sanin way better than they ever could with him. they shouldve put the last uchiha and the wretched kyuubi under someone who taught them what their place is in the village and that they should ultimately give their whole being into serving konoha, they need to be controlled and of use or else theyre nothing)
overall what a wonderful disaster to explore :D for us atleast, not for Kakashi. that sucks
I have held onto this for so long because like, I love it. You portray perfectly both cannon people's views of Kakashi ( a mix between those who hate Kakashi and call him a lazy perv and those who respect him, and those who want to use him (like Danzo and Hiruzen) and don't otherwise care for him all that much) and how Fandom approached the character
It's just so in depth and like, right.
I adore Kakashi, i see his faults. Where he could have been better, where he tried his hardest but fell short for one reason or another, and where he excels.
and i'm always seeing how Canon and Fandom treat him and scratching my head. Cannon makes sense because people don't know everything. Like Yamato had his reservations about Kakashi before he left Root and it was because of what others said, but in the end, he saw Kakashi for who he truly was
Kind-hearted, protective, determined, and very broken.
Fandom i don't really get because i'll see shit like 'Kakashi's a bad Sensei' or 'Kakashi can't lead and isn't a good tactical leader' and like...did we watch the same show? did these people miss everything?
I love exploring how Canon characters viewed him because there's OPTIONS
his peers who saw what he went through and may have once thought he was an ass (Asuma and Shizune come to mind) but saw how he grew and changed and became friends with him because they realized that through it all Kakashi was kind. He wanted to protect people and he would do all he could to keep them alive, even if it cost him his own life
his elders. Choza and Shikaku really come to mind here. They're Minato's generation so they knew what happened with Sakumo, but when they look at Kakashi they see someone who is smart, driven and successful. Shikaku trusted Kakashi's abilities and judgement so much he straight-up suggested him for Hokage. CHoza knew Kakashi's self-sacrificing and overworking attitude well enough to check in on him during Pein's attack.
then you have the villagers. The ones who don't know the shinobi's life whispered about Sakumo while little Kakashi passed by. The kids who just see a dorky old man, the elders who see a kind man willing to help them when they need it. They've had their judgements but it all comes around to 'Kakashi is a dork but he's kind'. I don't think we ever see the Villagers actually call him a perv (only Temari, Naruto and Sakura do in cannon and honestly it's for the dumbest reason's)
then you have the one's who use Kakahsi. Who see his skill and his broken heart and treat him as disposable but useful. Danzo, who would love Kakashi's skill but when he realizes Kakashi won't give it to him he puts him on an enemies list and at the soonest opportunity tries to have him killed. Hirzuen who just uses Kakashi over and over. Kakashi was never close to Hiruzen like he is Tsunade even though he constantly told Hiruzen about the things Danzo did and proved himself worthy. Hirzuen didn't see Kakashi as Tsunade did.
He saw a tool that he could discard when he was used up.
Tsunade saw a valuable asset and a person. Someone who is smart and who could help her when she needed it, but who was also very broken and very willing to turn his back if he needed to (like putting of an S rank mission to go get Naruto and Sasuke in the sasuke retrieval arc.)
Kakahsi is such a complex interesting character and that complexity shows so well in hjow other characters react to him. His students and those his age can see his abilities at times, but mostly they see a dorky man who just wants to relax and have fun, and maybe doesn't take his job seriously enough
Kakashi's friends see a broken but dedicated man
Minato's generation see's an intelligent shinobi, a strong shinobi, and a dedicated friend who has been so broken but keeps fighting
Tsunade's generation see's a skilled, intelligent man who has let himself slip at times and probably could be stronger than he is, but they also sort of understand why he slipped because Jiraiya and Tsunade sort of did the same (Tsunade with her drinking, Jiraiya with his running off and just futsing around and being a real perv)
Hiruzen's gen see a tool and nothing else.
Villagers are the most diverse but i think they're the most interesting because at the end of the day they're the FIRST to see a human. There are so many villagers who don't go 'omg Hatake Kakashi the copy ninja so cool' or roll their eyes and call him a dork. they see someone willing to help them when he can and i think they appreciate that.
