Thinking about the vibes of Minecraft's antagonist groups...

Illagers are evil, but human evil. They're a cult in distant strongholds, a vendetta against a severed kin, creatures trapped in cages for who knows what ends. They're tribalism, pride, desire overstepping morality, lust for power, lust for knowledge, lust for wealth. They're the grumbling soldier, the scowling hatchet-man, the monologuing mastermind, the sorcerer sneering from his throne.

Undead are evil, inhuman evil. They are mindless, relentless, merciless. There is no thought or conscience behind those empty eyes, just the drive to make life end. They are death, and death follows with them. They are the groaning horde of corpses, the keening spirit, the grim avatar of death.

Piglins are the barbarians, a hard people from a hard land. They are not your friends, but neither are they inherently your foe. They are hardened survivors, huddling in ruins of a past glory or scraping by a living in the wilds, defending their land from those coming from outside. Their desire is the companionship of the tribe, the sweet smell of meat after a hunt, and the lovely gleam of gold. They are the barbarian chief, the cunning trapper in the wild, the berserker red with glory.

Endermen are alien. They seek no goals we can perceive, wander lonely in the night on what might be aeons-spanning missions or the passing whims of chance. They follow fair rules, but their rules are alien. They will pass you by and seek no harm, but will not suffer eyes on them as they do their work. They are the half-seen monster in the night, the quiet figure by your window, the fey people of the otherworld.

I hate the design of minecraft villagers

they're huge-nosed, money hungry, ugly, primitive, golem-making explicitely-non-human humanoids. unless of course they're the evil dark-magic practicing main villains of the universe (who are also huge-nosed ugly non-human humanoids). And people still deny how antisemetic the designs are, despite the fact that Villagers were designed by Notch, also known as Markus "Q is legit. Don't trust the media" Persson.

So! I decided to fixit.

I could just make them humans, but I'd prefer keeping to canon and having players be the only humans. So, let's make them anthro animals like Piglins!

I think sheep is the best animal, as they can be docile symbols of peace like Villagers, or aggressive headbutting gremlins like Illagers. The lore of villagers and illagers shown in MC Legends is basically that they both blindly worship humans, right? Might as well make them literal sheeple!

(Yeah, turns out it's ridiculously easy to make a resource pack that replaces models.)

Introducing: Lamblets & Ramlets!

The two species differentiated by the Ramlets having horns, while the Lamblets do not. However, that might not always be enough to differentiate them at a glance. Not as easily as you can with the vanilla beige vs gray skin. Therefore, there's four versions of the pack, to suit your preference of what type of balance you want between gameplay and variety.

Simplicity The most similar to vanilla - Lamblets have beige skin and white wool, while Ramlets have gray skin and dark gray wool.

Variety Lamblets have beige skin and Ramlets have gray skin. Both have one of 6 random wool colors - white, gray, dark gray, black, brown, and rarely, pink.

Diversity Lamblets have random wool and one of 4 random skin tones - beige, white, gray, and black. Ramlets have random wool, but always gray skin.

Canonicity Both Lamblets and Ramlets have both random skin and random wool.

New Illager species guys!!!

I have been thinking...

Since I am on hiatus on YT for awhile and have a lot of extra time on my hands, Maybe I can revamp some old Illager ocs.

Maybe bring back some very old OCs too.

Old OCs:

Glacier: They are my old Iceologer/Chillager OC. They are non-binary, have white hair and they live with their villager friend, Mara, in a snow village since he lost his tribe in an accident. Mara is a male villager who is kind of like Glacier's guardian and best friend, He is ftm trans and a Farmer.

Marie: She is my WindCaller oc and mtf trans, She lives in the Howling Peaks where she operates a small shop and sells goods to her fellow Illagers and any travelers. She is also the mail carrier for the Howling Peaks and has a Vindicator wife who is @senpuwindd 's oc.

Sumire- She is an Evoker who is the adoptive mother of a human child named Merula, She is the leader of her tribe and is very protective of them all, her goal in life is just to keep her people together, fed, and housed. No one will be homeless and go hungry on her watch, human or Illager.

New OCs:

Arkin The Pillager Captain- Arkin is my love interest for my other oc, Skyla Windd. He is a Rouge Pillager Captain who met Skyla when he was brought to Crystal Waters due to a injury and his outpost doesn't have a witch on hand to heal him so Skyla was asked if she could heal Arkin and due to her gentle nature, Skyla heals him and takes care of him which leads Arkin to develop feelings for her, however, Valkyrie, Skyla's older sister and protector of the village as well a fellow Pillager, doesn't like Arkin nor trust him alone with her sister and always keeps an eye on him in case he ever tries to raid the village.

Sydney- Sydney is a Nether-Being child who is adopted by Joey and Charlie. She lost her parents when she was a baby and at 6 years old, she has a new home with her two new dads, Charlie takes his new role as a dad very serious while Joey tries to be the fun dad.

Story lines coming up soon:

Alvar and Janis' storyline will be soon completed after I figure out how to make them reconcile.

I will start working on a Non-Canon Asher AU soon where Thord and Natalie are still alive and Asher grows up with his little sister, Lovina and will be a slice of life thing.

I will be working on Thord and Natalie's story from the afterlife. (Thord will be a Vex and Natalie will be a Nether Variant of an Allay. (Idea inspired by my friend @orchid-151 and also happy birthday to her! ^^)

minecraft should track villager and illager reputation so you have a choice. villagers trade, but maybe at enough reputation illagers will help you in combat, and have limited versions of trades which are more illager-themed. you could ride the big creature thing around and ram into things. riding the creature thing is probably enough to nerf villagers because why befriend them when you could ride The Creature.
