Seriously, chapter 2 of thh is always a part I dread because it's like a fucking double whammy of problems, I wouldn't blame anyone if they reached chapter 2 and just decided to drop the series tbh, which is a shame because it probably is one of my favorite trial endings in the series.

(seriously that Taka and Mondo part at the very end hurts me in the best way)

Yeah and that's the worst part, because chapter 2 is SO GOOD for Taka's character at the end, and even the mondo side of that case is pretty compelling, but getting there is just awful. Playing it on my own or with friends is bad enough but watching lets plays makes me feel held at gunpoint sometimes.

Mar kept saying "I don't understand how people didn't completely drop the game at this point" and tbh yeah I'm not really sure why I didn't. Probably just because of how bored I was when I was getting into thh for the first time.

MY GOODNESS. it's been a hot minute since i posted the first part and i guess i just couldn't SHUT UP because this is FOURTEEN PAGES LONG. FOURTEEN. you can even see some pages where the linework is slightly different because i drew it like 6-ish weeks ago, that's how long this has been cooking. drawing in general has been hard lately because of time constraints, BUT i am so happy i finished this. this is like my fav project even tho it isnt as popular, but who cares!!!!! listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded mfer happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.

i will never understand how people have the heart to hate Jason even after they found out that his Ambrosia tastes like fucking sawdust. Ambrosia being tasty is like one single happy thing a demigod can have despite their tragic lives, because it reminds them of the home they once had, but lost. And Jason doesn't even have that, he doesn't even have a home to lose in the first place.
