Something very weird happened with the Eni queen/leader. In s2, her cape and hands were like this because she was sitting, in this season — it's just part of her design. Did nobody check this stuff? Am I going insane thinking this is an error? Did she look bad when her cape was down? What the fuck is happening?

Once again, something very silly is happening with Sufokia, if they have an empress and a king. My headcanon to fix it is "the king is a consort-king" or something.

(*sobs in Ankama, or, really, 89% of all media, not understanding that whoever marries the ruler of the nation is a [insert title]-consort, and does not have as much political power or the right of succession* *Hysterically convulses in "99% of all Queens were Queen-consorts, and the title itself, by default, usually means a consort. For this reason, female rulers (rare non-consort Queens who came to throne due to lack of male princes) typically named their husbands "Princes" and not "Kings", because the title king always implies a higher degree of power than a queen; therefore, it might be reasonable to assume, that in this fantasy setting, a Ruling Empress's husband might be called a king for this reason* *Foams at mouth because Ankama just forgot they mentioed Sufokia having a king and I'm trying to cope. badly*)

Also since I'm on this tangent already, YES, this means that Sadida rules of throne succession are:

1. extremely easy for outsiders to abuse (say what you will, but "the spouse inherits the throne" is a BADDD rule to combat conquest by foreign nations, there's a reason it was children or blood-relatives of the ruler, besides patriarchy/divine right of kings/whatever — the spouse is an outsider. All it takes is a princess, who is Wonderful at poisoning, being married off to a foreign nation and whoopsie-daisy, their country is now Her country, and therefore her Family's country),

2. it's unrealistic,

3. probably just bad writing for the sake of drama.

If you're curious why I know all this shit.......... I have a blorbo in a different fandom, and his entire thing is that he was married into a royal family and then tortured by his queen wife in a sort of gender-bent Henry VIII arrangement (except he was kept alive against his will and there was no divorce or church splits). God bless that blorbo for making me learn.

My personal theory/headcanon is that he is their mediator, and they just call him to their meetings so that, instead of yelling at each other and declaring wars, they can talk to him (and therefore, yell only at him and declare no wars).

Ugh, once again, I am not entirely fond of the English subs. First the translation error about the brotherhood of forgotten/tofu, and now they are making Joris say this spring chicken thing...

It doesn't fit his character and reads weird. Just leave it as "I'm not that young", like in the original. It's more fitting for Joris to speak in negative sentences ("I am not young") than in affirmative ones ("I am old") because he is not fond of stating direct facts about himself and his life... besides the fact that he's standing in front of multiple world leaders.

[kicks my legs cutely thinking about the fact that Joris, older than every king and queen in this place, and fully convinced of his excellence and wisdom and heroism, has been forced to bow down to them for his entire life despite hating at 90% of them for their political decision] I love his commitment to being the protagonist of an 18th century Russian novel about being doomed by the narrative.

Also, kinda wild. You'd think that during Ogrest's chaos they'd— actually I think everyone was too dead to hold meetings during that, nvm.

I wonder what they would do, if the maker of the eyes wouldn't reply. Just stand there? Or is this speech more of a formality — something he always says, in the lead-up to the meeting?

Literally, Joris's expressions at this moment should be analyzed frame by frame. You can feel the desperation. He now understands that there is a high possibility they are fucked. Because his bestie (who is always right) is an impulsive 20-something year old boy who knows nothing about politics or what people can do, and his mom is a god, and the leaders of the world aren't going to like whatever the fuck is going on, and he KNOWS what they might do, and what might happen, and oh god oh fuck oh god oh fuck—

He's trying to keep smiling, so hard. It's crazy.

Joris has lived through the huppermage genocide. He knows people don't need that much of a reason to begin killing. He understands precisely just how fragile the position that Yugo and his people are in. He understands his own place in the pecking order, too — he isn't going to act like Yugo's friend if these people are watching.

And neither Yugo, not any other Eliatrope is able to understand this. There are cruelties in this world that they are fundamentally unable to grasp without having truly been seeped in it before.

Like, what is he even to do here, to make Yugo understand how bad the situation is. All he can do is stand there looking haunted, while receiving unprecedented amounts of psychic damage.

If I was Joris at this point, I would simply pull out a flask of whiskey and a cigarette. The political situation has now gone completely unfixable. There is no going back, now that she has said these two lines.

Someone native to the World of Twelve and old enough to understand politics would know how bad this sounds. But to her, these are good things. Of course they are, since she knows what is good and what isn't, and everyone in her world has always accepted those things as good.

Basically: the conflict between WoT and Eliatropes is that a nation of people from a world of teletubbies-level conflict, — with no bigotry or nations or poverty or hunger or theft or inequality, or ulterior motives, — has been added to a "game of thrones" type society with no explanation. And now they are all forced to try and understand one another.

If I was Joris at this moment, I would simply shoot myself in the temple with a gun. If things were bad before, they are horrible now. She is talking to world leaders as her children. It might have been alright even with Eliatropes, but these people aren't Eliatropes.

DO I EVEN NEED TO COMMENT ON HOW BAD THIS IS? IN A WORLD WHERE COLONIALISM, RACISM, SUBJUGATION, AND SLAVERY ARE REAL? IS SHE ON CRACK?

I would give anythign to see Joris's expressions as she's saying these things. I think he should be trembling. Staring vacantly into space.

To someone from a world of violence, a world with "no violence" seems like a world where violence is hidden, and enacted to stop them from voicing their disagreement with the status quo.

Tot has described this as a sort of conflict between the modern world approaches to society — and named China and America as examples of what he was inspired by, while writing Eliatrope.

I will not get into detail on my feelings on it (China is often extremely criticized in the west for things every country in the world does due to racism)

But this might point us towards the fact that the world of Eliatropes wasn't as free of conflict as the show portrays it to be, and it was, in fact, Just A Society, with all that entails. In which case, things get morally morally gray... might explain why, in the earlier drafts of the season, she was meant to be the main antagonist — and why it was decided against.

(Is that maybe why Qilby is so embittered — his experiences were silenced, and he was made to suck it up, only confiding in Shinonome? She does constantly shut up Yugo and Qilby, not letting them speak up about their grudges against each other to keep the peace— [I am quickly silenced by tangent police])

We Are EP 4 Unhinged Tangent Thoughts

Finally! some good shits. this week Vibes the show finally let go of some of its dumb BL tropes. and let the boys being their extreamly cute and chaotic selfs with each other.

Ok i'm still not 100% or even 60% vibing with Phum and Peem but this ep made them much more tolerable. i think my biggest gripe with Phum as a character is that in the show full of earnest loveable dorks his tsundereness and assholedary (is this a real word???) was sticking out liked a sore thumb. so i'm happy that we learnt this ep that he and Toey knew each other and that he and Fang used to take care and protect Toey from bullying when they were kids (i called it! Toey mannerism and the way he talks definitely made him prime target for bullying.) its still not excuse Phum's behavior toward Peem but that + all the apologies he gave this ep soften him for me.

Tan is my new number one blorbo. throwing a party to just tell your friends that you're in love is very Mwah! and that VOICE! he did for toey at the party, crack the hell out of me. ok, how to explain this. so that voice both the deepness of it and the way the audio played gave a very specific old C dramas Thai dubbed feels. that it, thats was the joke. i really loved its but its probably don't translated fully to non thai speakers.

We only got crumbs for Pun and Chain this ep. but ahhhhhhh! baby pun is so cute i can't, he too god damn cute. as a dumb boy myself your brain leaking from reading too much books is so relatable. Chain and Pun relationship being more like a mother and her son than friends is kinda weird but i'm rolling with it. idk what thats say about me but idc, i loved this two too dang much.

And now for the stars of this ep Toey and Q🌟 blam blam blam!! 🌟so i was kinda not into this two as much as other people on here who go bananas for them. but this ep sold me, i'm now 100% a QToey boyie. the way Satang portray him with such earnestly and those forking puppy eyes finally broke me. look, look. i'm not gonna say that i didn't cringe at the way toey talks, and i felt bad for it after we learnt that he definitely got bullied as a kid. the scene in the park where Q asked Toey if being his nong rahat make him felt under any pressure. Fuck thats so sweet, my heart! Q care so much despite being a grumpy bitch and he god damn shows it. i loved this so much. cause not a lot of grumpy BL characters were balanced well with thier grumpiness and tenderness. most of the times relationships like this in other BLs felt very one sided, but not this one. i hope the show will explore more of what happened to Toey, but i'm not gonna get my hope up cause thats kinda don't fit the vibes of this show.

This ep gave me the Friendships and the cutenest and i'm full! now we only need the brothers to get rope into this queer friends group, hell Phum can bring his two hot friends and Toey can bring cute little JJ, and Ciize can be the token lesbian. make them all friends!!

Reading Kid Devil as Trans

@swamp-spirit gave me the broad outline of a trans Eddie reading and I ran with it into oblivion :3 also hi @batbaffle tagging you cause I remember you being excited about this

I'd like to start off with a little bit of scaffolding for how this reading is going to function

Firstly I posit that the way the Blue Devil comic series treats the role of Demon/Superhero is very easy to read as analogous to a trans experience, to the point that if you choose to interpret 'Demon/Superhero' as a gender, then Eddie is straight up trans!

Secondly I posit that because many transphobes view being trans as a kind of demonic infection, Eddie's character arc in Teen Titans volume 3 has accidentally replicated a transphobic view of what being trans is like.

So, this reading is necessarily hostile to the narrative of TTv3, but I need to be clear that I'm not asserting that that narrative is transphobic! The audience choosing to join the war on demonic pacts on the side of the demonic pacts is not something it would make sense to expect the authors to anticipate! Don't go giving out hate mail for this one.

This essay is going to be utterly enormous, so without further ado, I hope you enjoy reading it under the cut!

Point One: Demon as a Gender

We're going all the way back for this one to Blue Devil #1 for this one! Now, as we go through this comic what we're going to do is mentally replace "Devil Suit" with "Drag King Makeup" and replace "Demon" with "Trans Man" or just "Trans Person".

The Blue Devil suit drag King outfit is a costume designed for Daniel Cassidy's role as an action movie villain

Yet, despite it being just a prop, it makes Dan (feel confident and) powerful

(also note that the suit broadens the shoulders and that Dan is beardless with longer hair underneath the mask)

Then a real Demon Trans Person wanders in and recognizes Dan as being a sibling! And is confused as to why Dan is fighting them.

(also note how similar Nebiros' general shape is to that of a xenomorph, the trans-ist of all alien monster things)

This is honestly pretty weird considering that usually demons powerful enough to have a name and 'cosmic' powers also have the capacity to sense whether someone is supernatural or not, and nothing about the suit being simple special effects tips Nebiros off.

It stops being weird when you swap demon from a species to a gender though. That's just Nebiros assuming that Dan happens to be pre-op/pre-HRT

Then, without any intention of doing so, the demon trans person turns Dan's demonic nature trans nature into reality. By pure recognition the act stops being an act, his egg is cracked, and Dan is forced to face what he really is now

Dan is not pleased about this. He's still thinking of himself as a human with an affliction. It's not world ending or anything, but it's still... an issue. A concern. The adults around him vow to support him through this trouble. Even when he accepts that the suit being attached is permanent, he resists becoming a superhero at every turn and insists that he's still normal.

Eddie though? Well he just saw a guy get force masc-ed and it blew his tiny little mind with how friggin COOL it was!!!

(Kid sees a guy who looks like Satan's gay clubbing cousin and thinks "this is absolutely what a superhero looks like!" and he's so right for that honestly)

In fact Eddie's SO on board with this shit that he goes on to make his own Devil suit start dressing like a boy too (following pages are Blue Devil #15 onwards) like this comic doesn't even have much to do with secret identities and yet this is still so much of an accidental outting

(sorry quick tangent here: Boy Wonder as a source of anxiety when Jason Todd wound up being the only 'Boy Wonder' that Kid Devil ever got to team with prior to TTv3 is making blorbo brain go brr)

Dan is frightened by the idea of a kid jumping into the world of danger that these suits being trans presents, but he and his aunt are ultimately supportive and through the power of queer family they save the day together

And the people around Eddie, especially his parents, are worried that all this Hero and hollywood stuff is not the right lifestyle for a growing kid in a way that echoes the idea of the queer, bohemian lifestyle corrupting the poor innocent youth

But the comic repeatedly asserts that the suits are who they are now for both Eddie and Dan. Not only is returning to normal not an option, it wouldn't be a good outcome either!

Now, y'all are reading this shit on tumblr. We're all sitting around the bonfire together here at this Devil's Sacrament, so you're probably already aware of this, but I do gotta make mention of the fact that Demon is already a gender for some people. The xenogender crowd have had this shit on lock for years now, and combined with everything else, I feel confident in simply accepting Demon as a gender for the rest of this analysis!

From hereon out this essay shall take it as literal truth that Eddie's gender is Demon, his role as Kid Devil is a form of social transition, and his character arc in Teen Titans volume 3 is mainly concerned with his medical-magical transition and the fallout from that.

(sorry, one more tangent: I actually think there might be a stronger reading of Danny as intersex. The involuntary nature of the change honestly fits a lot more closely with an intersex person finding out that their body is hard wired to do something very different with their gender than they expected. There's also a scene I didn't talk about here of when Danny first goes out in public that reminds me less of being viewed as a binary trans person and more of the times when I used to walk around town with my DDDDD cup tits in a pushup bra and a beard. He becomes a fascination and a spectacle in a way that very much mirrors my experience of presenting signifiers of both genders at the same time as blatantly as possible, which is obviously not how all intersex people express their gender, but like the way intersex people make headlines, the way intersex people are viewed as 'combinations' or 'deviations' - it all feels more like Danny getting mobbed by curious onlookers than it does my day to day of being visibly trans. Idk there's potential here, but ultimately this essay is about Eddie first and foremost.)

Point Two: They Want Him to Walk Out of Hell.

It's time to meet the demonic pact that we shall be fighting for!

To make a long story (TTv3 #42) short, Eddie is given a spooky candle behind a church, and then goes to Zackary Zatanna in order to try and figure out what it is and what it does. Zack tells him it's basically a teleportation spell and asserts that if Eddie uses it, he could definitely teleport them right back, no problems. Eddie then immediately finds out that Zack lied to him and they're both stuck in LITERAL HELL until further notice.

The demon who made the candle and gave it to him is Neron, who is a quintessential example of the deal-maker-soul-taker archetype of demon and was essentially understood to be The Devil Himself in the Underworld Unleashed comics. He is unsurprisingly here to make a deal for Eddie's soul (or, well actually no, he's not here for his soul. Strictly speaking, he's only asking Eddie to become his apprentice once he hits 20, which I find to be an intriguing distinction, even though the narrative basically treats the ideas as interchangable.)

Now this deal is pretty clearly bad news (Neron's deals always go sour and becoming his apprentice is heavily implied to mean coming under his control too)... but lets step back a bit shall we? What exactly is Eddie's other option here? What is Zack suggesting they do as the voice of reason in this scenario?

He is suggesting... that they WALK OUT OF HELL.

I cannot get over the sheer mad audacity of fuckin-

just-

just WALK out of the actual literal bowels of Hell itself completely unprepared

like WHAT??? No. That is completely unreasonable.

...When you tell a certain variety of religious transphobe about how gender affirming care drastically reduces suicide rates and very clearly improves quality of life, they aren't swayed. To them, gender affirming care is inherently damaging in ways that are much more important than temporary bodily pleasure - and more important than any amount of pain a trans person could possibly go through in life. There is no possible justification to them for perverting your flesh away from God's plan/"what nature intended". To transition is to give yourself over to the Devil in their minds.

They will insist - despite the enormous amount of logic and evidence to the contrary - that if you just keep walking the straight and narrow path long enough, you will find a way to be happy while destroying/repressing your true self, and you will surface back into the daylight, and you will be normal, and human, and whole, and holy.

When you tell them that to not transition would be agony, they will demand that you walk out of Hell.

Satan, on the other hand, says He can remake you in your own glorious genderqueer image, and the only risk is that your family might betray you for it.

Eddie accepts Satan's bargain and is granted absolute, brilliant, gleaming euphoria

And his family betrays him.

Now, take strong note of the fact that both of them are burning in this Church, because this brings us to-

Point Three: He's Not Even Really a Demon... Except When It Would Hurt Him to Really be a Demon.

A major plot point is that his powers aren't actually demonic at all; Neron only activated a dormant meta-gene.

So why the fuck does he burn when entering a church, and why are multiple people capable of sucking the demonic power out of him?! To include an Exorcism fully working as intended! Like it's extremely weird and notable that as far as I can tell, Kid Crusader's exorcism legitimately would have worked.

Essentially, any time it would hurt Eddie to be a marginally enhanced human, that's what he is; any time it would hurt Eddie to be a demonic being, that's what he is.

To the narrative there is no contradiction. His refusal to remain a normal human, the contract itself, is the sin that corrupts his humanity and the nature of that sin is to never have his desires truly granted because Neron cannot preform miracles as God can - or even if he was capable of it, he won't. Because he's evil.

This is almost word for word the religious justification for the double standards around gender. So as far as transphobia is concerned, a trans person's refusal to remain a normal human, the act of transition itself, is the sin that corrupts our humanity and the nature of that sin is to never have our desires truly granted because according to them surgery and HRT cannot contradict or supersede nature, or even if it could, we would never be truly satisfied because to contradict the proper nature of things is evil. Thus the butch lesbian is never a real woman because she isn't acting right, and yet the trans woman who does all the right actions is never granted status as a real woman either.

Point Four: What's So Bad About Being A Demon Anyways?

TTv3 frames Eddie's desire to have superpowers and to be a demon as bad in a variety of ways. However, it never seems to make a good argument for why it is so morally wrong for him to want and receive superpowers. Like, sure, maybe being indebted to a demon isn't healthy, but the narrative treats it as a sin, as Eddie having committed an immoral act which requires repentance or at least absolution.

I refuse to consider the goal of becoming a superhero and saving people to be blackhearted, so the only good argument I can see for this is that Eddie willfully risked other people's safety by accepting a gamble that could put him under Neron's control.

Here's the thing though

This is the point at which I look the narrative in the eye and say "I think you're a lyin lil bitch!" and choose to take a character at their word above and against the rest of the evidence that the text itself presents to us.

Future Eddie from a timeline where he turns 20 and does in fact go with Neron says he's doin good and that leaning into and embracing the demonic power is nice actually and I am gonna believe him on this!

Again, this isn't really the narrative's fault, it was not originally designed for this, but combined with the rest of the analysis, this strongly reminds me of the way that trans people are taught to essentially fear our older selves. Like there's this sense that we're going to get worse and go too far and become one of those unreasonable queers who's always miserable.

It's gonna be bad! It's gonna be so so bad! You'll lose all your morals as you're inducted into the cult of gender!! Actual proof of harm? Who needs that shit! We all know that gender non-conformity might seem innocent at first, but it's a slippery slope!

So ya know what? I just don't give a shit! Oh the narrative says he's evil? M'kay well have you considered that I don't vibe with that?

I cannot even fucking count how often I've seen characters only be allowed to increase their queerness when they become villains, and become less queer when they learn a moral lesson. I cannot COUNT the number of times that a character has had to rip out everything that made them relatable to me in order to fit the mold of normality at the end of the story as some kind of """"feel good wholesome life lesson""""" ending. I cannot c o u n t the number of times I have seen queerness attached to or equated with monstrosity and for the narrative to demand that both be excised for the good of everyone.

Like idk how ubiquitous this is, but the sense that getting what I want is supposed to be evil and that anyone who would give it to me is also evil is so familiar that it instinctively makes me want to scream.

So for the purposes of this essay, when I see that Eddie gets to be MORE demonic in this timeline and keep all his friends and has a mentor who encourages him to embrace his inner demon? I am going to throw every scrap of evidence that this is the 'bad timeline' out of the fucking window willy nilly because fuck that, good for you Eddie, I hope you get even demon-y-er!!

Point Five: He Just Be Actin Real Fuckin Queer Okay?

The cigarette kisses - just- just LOOK at this!

Look at this shit!!!

A wise person once said that sometimes the sexual tension between gay men and lesbians is thick enough to cut with a knife, and baby every panel of them doing this shit is a FAT slice of that gay squared pie!!! I cannot express how jealous I am of this, like hot fuckin damn, I have zzzzerooooo physical attraction to women, but if I had Eddie's powers I would sit at the lesbian bar and kiss the butchs' cigars lit all fuckin night

Suddenly long hair. Tons of trans guys grow their hair out or paint their nails et.c. once they transition. It's a hell of a lot easier to be comfortable with your own gender non conformity in the fem direction once you no longer feel like fem presentation is a threat to your own identity.

He never wears a shirt if he thinks he can get away with going bare chested. You best believe that after I get top surgery the shirts are comin OFF and they are not coming back on unless I receive multiple threats of getting escorted off of the premises lmao It speaks to a beautiful newfound comfort in his own skin.

The Dysphoria/Closet Hoodie. He has an outfit to disguise the shape of his body so that he can avoid harassment and weird looks and it does not even work.

Big Mood my guy.

The trident to tail - packer to bottom growth/surgery connection

The trident is a mechanical, artificial phallic object that acts as a symbol of Demonic power. It is also a rocket that he rides by sticking it between his legs. Eddie also stops using it after his medical-magical transition, at which point he can use his own body for transport. I trust you can pick up what I'm putting down here.

Point Six: The Cruelty of His Arc's Conclusion

This is how Eddie's soul is saved. His demongender is violently ripped from him by an extremely misogynistic cult leader and the source of his transformation is destroyed while he's unconscious.

Being freed from the looming doom seems to have lesser or equal emotional weight to the distress at having been forcibly de-transitioned. When presented with a nearly identical scenario to the first soul bargain, he has to be bodily dragged away from signing a second contract.

When given the choice freely, Eddie clearly finds being a demon to be worth just about anything and everything.

It's also super worth noting that this parallels the way informed consent is sometimes viewed. Like, bodily autonomy seen purely as the freedom to make the wrong decision. What good is an honest Devil when the price is still the damnation of your immortal soul?

So, now he's a human again for the rest of his life. What, pray tell, is this character arc suppose to have been about?

Wellllll... He starts off as impulsive, reckless, kind, loyal, loving, bad at fighting, and willing to risk selling his soul to be a real demon. At the end of this character arc he is impulsive, reckless, kind, loyal, loving, bad at fighting, and willing to outright sell his soul without even a glimmer of hope of any other outcome in order to be a real demon again. The only change is that he's been forced back into his assigned gender of human and he has given up on ever being a Hero. He just hangs around being a friend to the heroes around him. Like the whole arc seems to boil down to Eddie learning that he was never cut out to be a Hero and he shouldn't have tried.

That's his "good ending". That's his happy ever after.

Okay, look, I know I said "don't send hate mail about this" but that was specifically about the trans thing and actually Volume 3 of Teen Titans is weirdly cruel to Eddie, and I do kinda want to fist fight someone about it??? Like, why the hell did they make nearly all of his plot roles revolve around him getting his ass kicked SO BADLY that the entire teen titans team is sabotaged by his ineptitude.

I've read a fair few issues with this guy in em now, and the ONLY fights I've seen him win are 1) When he teamed up with Jason and 2) When he teamed up with Jamie Reyes. That's it. Verses THRICE joining a fight and ruining it so badly that the villain(s) win within three panels. He goes to a Dennys to be sad in his depression hoodie and gets beat down by like twelve guys. He is constantly getting nothing but the short ends of sticks and then guys keep thwacking him with those sticks.

It's not even a punchline, or fodder for a training montage, or a vehicle for a 'you don't need to fight in order to be a hero and do good' message, like there's no purpose or enjoyment to be had, he's just a barbie doll getting whacked against the kitchen counter until its head comes off

As for 🎶CARLOS MAN OF LOVE🎶 I do find him very cute and handsome! I have yet to get bitten by the bug though and go off the deep end 😂. I think that's partially due to the fact he reminds me a lot of Chris--similar no nonsense soldier boy.

I love Chris as a character and think he's awesome, but I'm more drawn to fictional fellas that have a playful edge to them or don't take themselves too seriously unless they need to (in general militant-like guys put me off cause I grew up with male relatives in the army/marines...the culture definitely leaves an impression for better or worse lmao).

In Carlos's defense, he has playful moments in the remake which I fucking adore like these examples (and in general his partnership with Jill is fucking great, I love their dynamic):

I love his dialogue in the remake. When I played RE3 with my partner, he quipped that Carlos's remarks sound like shit I would say in general and I think that's one of the reasons I like him so much.

I was put off by Carlos's character in the original (like with Luis too) and I very much enjoyed the changes that were made to them in their respective remakes. He definitely got better. The man can get it 💯

Estival 2024: The Sixth Coil, blorbo edition

I keep thinking of so many ways my ocs are interacting with the event and details that are unique to them, so... Since I'm highly unlikely to actually write a fic or anything with this, tumblr post it is!

Currently* this is a lot of just stream of though writing so I'm not sure if it makes sense, I may end up fixing it up later but idk.Its probably going to be edited regularly and end up really long, this is your warning.

Day 1, Thurs

Set up and intro to the event, arrival of the tiger group that I can never remember the name of

Silv is part of the group that's setting up the event and was hired in advance, so he new the speech was coming. Pem knew on account of Silv and also convinced him to actually come see it. Vin found out with everybody else, was at the uni at the time (when are they not) and turned up with a bunch of other students. Silv and Pem have both been to coil 4 (fuck the dilmun club dude I still need to do that for coil 5), Vin wasn't even aware there were tigers in the city.

Silv stayed back while Pem (Theo) went to the front. Vin broke off from the uni group when they saw Silv and stayed with him instead. Vin has no idea what's happening and is confused as fuck. Silv is apathetic, Pem is excited, Vin is cautious, as to be expected.

This is a complete tangent but I am so struggling to imagine Silv sitting on the floor. How do you sir on the floor with his insistence on posture and rigidity. He could sit on his legs n kinda kneel but that would look weird on him. Would he suit cross legged?? How else can you sit on the floor. Legs out? Can people do that without leaning back?? Uh. That's like it girl help. Vin sits leaning on him tho <3

At this point, Silv leaves to go work and will be mostly busy for the next few days, occasionally available if the other two come bother him. Now, Pem and Vin are left to go journalism work forrrrr name I forgot. Labyrinth first, Pem goes in to bother the tiger keeper and Southwark while Vin stays outside with their lack of entry rights. Vin talks to Silv and the other clay men around and gets the bit about the? dirt? being weird? Silv buddy since when can you talk to dirt.

After that, they go to the side streets but Vin suggests seeing Sherlock the detective. Pem has 0 faith in the man but sure whatever it's on the way. Anyway to the side streets, Vin feels really weird about being here bcus they are Not a PoSI yet but Pem is dragging them along so okay. She ends up talking to basically everyone before managing to get something useful from the law firm.

They weren't planning on seeing Mr Inch (I feel like he moves around enough that he's impossible to find unless you have a meeting) but they run into him while going past the docks on the way back tooooo is it veilgarden idk. Pem has a nice chat w Mr Inch while Vin is lost but also ":O zoologist!"

Anyway back to the reporter then they're fine for the day.

Sike, there's more tigers. Pem sees them in the street and watches the entourage(?) go by. Vin doesn't see it but hears about it after.

Current status: Silv is busy having a job, Pem is hyped and can't wait to participate, Vin is still kinda lost and mostly just worried

Four female blorbos,four Hogwarts houses

Carmen Sandiego - Ravenclaw. Her character is based on wanting knowledge,and what kickstarted her career as the Red Thief was learning about the value of knowledge itself. I only wish her universe was more complex and challenged her more. Carmen is a very cool character.

Rubí Perez - Gryffindor. A case could be made for Slytherin,but I feel like the Lion house fits her better. She's unbelievably bold and reckless when going after things she wants. Besides,she's unwavering on her beliefs and percieved needs. A Slytherin would have more of a sense of self-preservation and consider more the needs of her loved ones. Besides,red is her colour(shallow on itself,but there's plenty of other evidence pointing to it).

Veronica Mars - Hufflepuff(and I'll die on this hill). She's often helpful when it comes to people in need(sometimes,there's something for her,sometimes she just does out of the goodness of her heart),staying in Neptune to clean up corruption(considering the clusterfuck her hometown is,Veronica is most definitely unafraid of toil). Besides,one of her biggest assets as a PI are people willing to do her bidding. On a tangencially related note,V is the epitome of a Jerk With a Heart Of Gold.

Kiyomi Takada - Slytherin. We share the house,but she embodies its spirit much more than I do. While Takada is Salazar's dream student,I'm the weird gremlin he reluctantly took in 🤡. She knows exactly what she wants and goes after it - both in academic/professional terms and personal ones. The girl just has a rotten luck for guys(I said luck,not taste. We know Light as a murderous,manipulative piece of shit. But in-universe,he was handsome,extremely intelligent,refined,pleasant to be around,had a hell of a silver tongue).

On a tangent,I think Takada is a pretty cool character in canon. She was well-defined and nothing I saw contradicted her established personality traits. Her vulnerabilities and strengths,not to mention other quirks... I've never needed to speculate anything about her,but there's enough space for the fandom to do so.

i really enjoyed this comic actually. i have NO idea how its generally regarded by zatanna nation, but i had a fun enough time. absorbed a lot of DC Comics Magic Lore for my AU which is important

at some point it starts doing Weirdly Umineko Coded dialogue totally unprompted so if you've read that it might tickle your funnybone to see comic book characters asking each other "was this a trick or was it magic 😏". made me feel right at home

my main complaint is that SHE'S NOT DRESSED LIKE A FUCKING MAGICIAN IN IT!!!! COME ON!!!!! they chickened out on the full magician garb in this whole era. which is just so sad. the fishnet fingerless gloves are funny though i might steal that. but i think she is so funny when she's wearing the full magician costume. like call me shallow but her commitment to the bit is so important to me

on the upside she interacts with wonder woman A Lot. the rest of the team is fun too. the justice league dark team is just wonder woman severely failing to put together a squad with any star power at all and i think that's adorable. her failgirl era. now she's out here with her also-rans. i like them all im fond of them

anyway i got a lot of DC Magic Lore (Strangely Familiar Edition) and Zee Content AND!!! Wondermagic Content. in this one. so even if i had an inkling about them before, this comic is really what detonated the charge so to speak. they interact so much

and the dynamic created w their relationship to magic and stuff is really interesting. brainwormy for sure. it took me from "who the hell is this magician" to "DO PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT WONDERMAGIC????? FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELLO???" in one comic. i have a LOT of thoughts about them like genuinely i think there's meat on the bone conceptually for wondermagic

but i think pretty much any time they appear together in general they're just Like That. whenever theyre both in a comic they have to be gay about it (what the fuck did she mean by this). i was losing my mind when i was catching up on DC/RWBY (ABHORRED. avoid if possible) and zatanna is immediately on her bullshit again. IS THAT HOW YOU GREET HER

what parts of hanekawa makes her your favorite? give me the full blorbo thoughtdump 😈

OH so you want it to be go time? It's go time? I suppose it's go time.

Note I am NOT a writer or well articulated so this is going to be ALL over the place fdjkhds.

So just to begin, Hanekawa is such a fun and mysterious character for a lot of Bakemonogatari. She's literally the first character we're introduced to properly other than Koyomi. And their very first scene already establishes that they have some history together, what with her seemingly being Koyomi's only friend. And shows us a couple flashes of Black Hanekawa but refusing to elaborate. And the season just continues to drip feed us that there is just something UP with the sweet little glasses wearing student council president. Allusions to spring break, and Something happening during Golden Week that Koyomi and Meme don't really elaborate on much. Her genuinely offputting comments about the way Koyomi hitting Mayoi and how he's "supposed" to do it, combined with the fact she could see Mayoi at ALL once it's revealed what exactly Mayoi is and how her mechanics work. The fact that whenever she's on the phone she's NEVER at home, always wandering the streets. It builds up so much subtle intrigue in what the hell is going on with her behind the scenes, given that Koyomi basically outright idolizes her and talks up how amazing and perfect she is in most cases.

I'm a very big fan of these kinds of setups for characters and their arcs. It's why i'm currently so fascinated with how information and scenes regarding Ougi are being dripped out and revealed across Second Season. But I digress.

And then Tsubasa Cat rolls around and begins to shed some light on just exactly how NOT okay she is by revealing information on her home life, as well as the beginnings of exactly what the hell went down during golden week. It's at this point that the narrative starts to pick at the part of her that it's kept hidden so far. How much of her Good Girl act is a raw self defense mechanism for her. She's never had anyone she could actually open up to like Koyomi before. She just so...casually talks about the abuse she's suffered to him.

To go on a small tangent, a character trait about Koyomi that I like is that he's really willing to throw himself under the bus for the sake of cheering others up if need be. During the talk where Hanekawa talks about her father hitting her, he realizes that he can't really...do anything about it, and can see that she's getting really upset and desperate when she asks him not to tell anyone. So he starts going on a goofy little pervy bit to cheer her up, since she likes his weird sense of humor. It's a really sweet moment for them.

Anyway, back on topic. Not to detail my own life all too much but, the way Hanekawa defends herself from her environment and the world around her hits VERY close to home with my own experiences. As someone who's had to constantly mask and people please her whole life, it hits so close to home seeing how she handles all of that and...the consequences it has, in the form of Black Hanekawa.

This is just me speaking entirely from my own experiences but, learning from the Nekomono Duology that ultimately even with the influence of the Sawari Neko, Black Hanekawa is STILL Hanekawa, hit really close to home, in the way that when stresses in my life build up like this, due to my own masking and outright rejection or ignoring of them, it manifests in....destructive episodes. I start thinking, talking, and acting erratically in a way that doesn't feel like Me at all. I've ended up nearly permanently damaging very close and important relationships to myself several times because of this. I don't feel like myself at all, like I become a totally different person. And, I dunno, I just...I really felt something seeing Tsubasa be pushed to her breaking point and lashing out at everything around her in a similar way. It made me really...invested. In seeing where her character would go after that.

Augh and speaking of where her character goes like...I've mentioned it in past posts but I love how absolutely dynamic of a character she is too. Like, we've gotten to see her ENTIRE journey through this story. From her mysterious introduction in Bake, seeing her chronological introduction in Kizumonogatari and just...seeing how MUCH her and Koyomi went through together. With Kizu you can just...it's SO easy to see how Tsubasa fell in love with him. Their budding friendship and complicated feelings for one another through the story arc are SO sweet and precious to me. Like. For every part of her that's a front, she really is just a sweetheart underneath it all. She just isn't able to express it all healthily. I mean, her persistence and care managed to break through Koyomi's shell at his MOST soggiest and cringiest. And then Nise...while she doesn't appear much, I REALLY like how she's shown here, taking the aftermath of Tsubasa Cat where everyone just kinda...puts a bandaid on the situation.

Okay doubling back to talk about that, something that I think makes Tsubasa Cat stand out compared to the other 4 Bake arcs is that each of the other arcs resolve themselves pretty soundly? Like yeah we know that down the road more complications arise but, looking at the story in the order it's written, pretty much all of the arcs have a solid and happy end. But that doesn't really happen with Tsubasa Cat, because the issue of Hanekawa being unable to express her feelings just isn't addressed at all. We just go back to ignoring it and hoping for the best. And I love how Tsubasa tries to give off the air that something has changed. Wearing contacts and cutting her hair. Hair cutting being a pretty common symbolism of change and all. But...it's both superficial. It's another act, and I love it. I've been there myself so many times. Acting like i've made a big change to fix something going wrong when really...it's a lie i'm telling myself and to others.

And then there's the Nekomono Duology just, making EVERYTHING come full circle. The full explanation of just What Black Hanekawa is and how she relates to how Tsubasa is. Tsubasa spending time with Hitagi, who helps her start to break down some of the barriers she's put up, with their discussion of cooking among other things. Kako manifesting at a time that Koyomi is NOT there anymore for her to fall back on and depend on, forcing her to take what she learned from spending time with Hitagi, Karen and Tsukihi to heart and just...coming to terms with herself. ALL parts of herself. Tsubasa, Black Hanekawa, and Kako all together. Finally coming to change herself for REAL and make REAL steps towards healing and growth, symbolized far more proper by Black Hanekawa and Kako's white hair mixing with her natural black....it all comes together so wonderfully. And it's really helped me start to figure myself out in a similar way and make real, ACTUAL changes for the better for myself.

It's the narrative in Monogatari that has hit me the absolute hardest to date and I love every second devoted to it.

...and on a much less personal level, I just think she's really funny and cute in how she bounces off of all the other FREAKS in this cast. It's hard to call anyone in Monogatari "Normal" but I think she plays a hilarious straightman in most situations she's thrust into.

Gods and I've barely even talked about Black Hanekawa or Kako have I? Silly cat and Angy cat. The fact that Yui Horie can have such a distinct range for Tsubasa and Black Hanekawa is amazing, on top of the fact she has to pepper all those nyas into her speech too. I just love that the manifestation of Tsubasa's repressed stress and feelings is just acting like a silly catgirl who fucking GETS you. I wish that's how my stress manifestations were.

I've been typing this for like, an hour and I still feel like there's more I can say jdkhdf.

Basically. I love her so much. All of her. And she's been helping me understand and come to love all of me too.

Nezha looks like he's in his twenties and he's absolutely been in and out of young life crises for his entire fucking existence, someone hand him some soda so he'll be lively at the party and not pass out before it even starts. I headcanon that he can get similar sugar highs that kids can. Give him a bottle of soda, and he'll be sweet and active for the next few hours and then crash.

He is. a little bit pudgy. just enough to cup his face like a pet and it be cute. His reactions to being called cute are either his knee-jerk "NO, I'M NOT >:(" or "Yes, I am, now pet me. This is not a request." His beloved shifu, Erlang Shen, adores him for this.

SPEAKING OF ERLANG SHEN. Nezha and Erlang have a very adorable son-adopted father dynamic because Nezha needs a good paternal figure dammit leave me to my fluff. Erlang trains Nezha when the latter of the two isn't dropping on his feet from exhaustion, and when he is, Erlang isn't shy about carrying him to bed.

Nezha's attitude towards MK is in the same ballpark as his attitude towards SWK. He thinks MK is reckless, but that he has potential if he can learn to fucking plan ahead, for the love of all that is sweet and carbonated.

He likes Mei but every now and again, he has a crisis over the fact that she's distantly related to Ao Lie, who's the nephew of Ao Guang. Nezha is more afraid of Ao Guang than anything else since he keeps having nightmares about that One Legendary Moment in his myth.

Something Nezha says once in a blue moon is that he has three homes, and one of them is a cramped apartment with his little brother. He's referencing MK when he says this. Sometimes he'll also say it's in the bowels of a volcano hidden away from the rest of the world, and then he's referencing Red Son.

NEZHA HAS FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS. He doesn't go anywhere without them. They have charms on them that match people he cares about. He has charms for Iron Fan, Erlang Shen, MK, Red Son, Mei, Sandy, SWK, and charms for two OCs, Lian Lanhua who belongs to that-one-enby-onyx, and Bai Xian, my snake pseudo nun who has some really great lore I'll go into detail about in another ask. If I named my snake badly, please inform me. (Bai Xian is she/he/they, Lian is she/her)

As for names, I suggest double-checking possible characters in Mandarin and Cantonese and the like for the chosen name and cross reference those with other words/names to make sure it all makes sense together! There is a little bit of leeway with stories like LMK since half of the characters have names like "demon bull king", so it's ok if a name doesn't make 100% complete sense as a normal name in our universe, but it is still always good to check! You never wanna have that moment when you realize your character's name accidentally translates to something unintentionally weird like Canned Fish because you didn't google it (I actually saw somebody legitimately name their character this in another fandom before someone pointed it out).

you ever have a blorbo that used to be like really popular that only like two (2) people make content for across the entire internet so you're stuck rereading the same fanfics and consuming the same art praying that the original media updates or revives or something so more new people make more new content for this specific blorbo and you're too scared to randomly start making content for yourself cause 1) it feels fundamentally cringe (makes no sense) and 2) you don't wanna be "late to the trend" and seen as weird even though nobody cares because you're a tiny account and nobody consumes media of said character in the first place anyways so you trod along creating fake scenarios related to said blorbo (or at least similar if you're the type who exclusively lives vicariously through your own original properties so you adapt an au of your guilty pleasure comfort ocs tailored to said blorbo and your main oc self insert so you can feel both original consuming said blorbo content, inspired by building off of preexisting stories and scenarios while adapting new ones, and not embarrassed about self shipping because WHOOPS these characters aren't blorbo and you, they are actually oc 1 and oc 2!) without any idea how long this obsession will last and fearing and praying for the day you lose interest in the blorbo because although you are free you may no longer have self insert guilty pleasure fuel for while you try to go to sleep because this blorbo is the fuel for your bedtime fantasy scenarios which are your way of ignoring the world around you and processing your need for the specific type of love you believe blorbo can provide even to the most extreme extent so now youre stuck trying to savor what little blorbo content exists considering the blorbo fandom was already quite small and niche in its hay day and you're slowing running out of wait oops what was this about again?

oh i forgot to talk about the other crucial reason why i have no interest in turning them into full ocs: their designs

i absolutely love drawing them and one of the main reasons why is because i just find them so fun to draw. plus they evolved a lot throughout the year and reached a point where i'm incredibly happy with their designs, and that journey is a huge part of my love for them. they evolved with me and my artstyle. they are my babies

fine, you could say, but the way you draw their bodies is so different from canon that surely you could just replace their heads and call it a day? and you'd be right. i thought about that before, and believe me, part of me does sometimes wish their heads were more... easy to work with. smaller, without long horns that get in the way

but i do love that aspect of them, the fact that they have those unusually sized and shaped heads that force me to look for unique ways to position them in my drawings. not to mention, their faces are so iconic to me that i'd run into the same problem as with their stories/personalities - i love them as they are, so it would be a forced change that most likely kills the very thing that makes me want to draw them

but back to their heads, time for a side tangent. this is also why i usually can't get behind interpretations of pk that completely change his proportions to make his head smaller. sure, i did change them a little bit from canon, but fpk is still very much proportioned like a funko pop. i feel like making him look like a human with only his canon head just takes away most of the charm of the character for me. that being said, i understand the need to do that, a smaller head is much easier to draw, i'd be a hypocrite if i shat on this direction since i did make it a bit smaller for fpk. i just think it's possible to do that and still keep his silly proportions. going full human proportions like i sometimes see just makes me go "this isn't pk to me. where is my silly looking short king", you get me? no shame to anyone who draws him like that. it's just not for me

ok i got very much off topic. but the original point was that i don't want to change their designs to a drastic degree. i'm happy with them, they make my brain happy, even if sometimes it's a headache to draw them kissing because of their giant weird heads. but that's part of the charm, that's why i love them

sure, i could turn them into ocs and still give them big heads. but like i said: change for the sake of change. i fear they wouldn't be the same characters to me anymore. and the last thing i want is me losing interest in the blorbos that make me so so happy every day

i said before that i have no plans to turn my au versions of the characters into ocs, and i still stand by this. there's so much lore that directly ties into what happens in the game that simply swapping some names just wouldn't work. and the more i'd change about them, the more different they would become, and there's a reason why i love them the way i do. if i change that much about them, would they even still be the same characters who have lived rent free in my head for the past year? i really don't think so. it would feel like change for the sake of change, which never works and would just feel so forced i feel like they'd end up losing their charm

that said, part of me does lowkey hope that people see them as their own thing. or, more precisely, somewhere in between. not ocs, and not their canon counterparts either. cause to me, fpk isn't just "pk but lizard", there is so much more to him than that, and i guess i just hope it's something people also keep in mind. same goes for grimm. the others as well, but fpk and grimm definitely got the most focus in that department so they're the main focus of this

i do treat them the same way i treat my ocs, but their connection to the game's story is still very important. i guess that makes them foster characters? adopted characters? something of that sort, whatever term you'd use for interpretations that are very personal and go so in-depth that simply equating them to their canon counterparts would do them disservice. does that make sense? i hope it does

Another side tangent but the more I watch the more I grow to really dislike the 2012 movie and realize it kinda fundamentally ruined how people view most characters at least fandom wise. 25th anniversary and all star recording proved you can do The Whole Musical and people will go nuts (and they just stood there imagine with a movie budget!!) it especially did wild amounts of damage to R- like taking out almost all of his lines and then giving him his solo only to not actually include it in the fucking movie and taking away his relationship with Gavroche (don’t get me wrong it’s cute with courf but only serves to remove even more from R’s character, complexity and role within the movie).

not only does he like the feeling of smooth textures, he also likes a lighter fabric. he focuses mostly on the texture rather than weight, so the feel of it especially matters

on the flip side, stede is MUCH more weight oriented. he appreciates when a fabric is much tighter to him. he’ll also sleep wearing at least four blankets just for the little bit of pressure on his chest

frenchie vocally stims because i say so. bitch’ll repeat lyrics over and over again. he also will play the air lute(? i think that’s what he has) as a minor spacing out thing

jim’s also selectively mute. in those moments, they’ll just gently rock back and forth, or have olu do all the basic speaking for them.

the two of them have a weird noise language (also not projecting me and my partner at ALL what are you saying). they vaguely grunt and squeak at each other, and know that “oh they want me to give them the glass over there”. it’s quite impressive to watch

i also believe ed would have selective mutism, but it’s only usually when he’s super overstimulated. when this happens, stede just basically gives the crew off, and sits with ed until he feels okay again.

stede is VERY particular about routines and things happening as he sees it (i’m not projecting you’re projecting). he writes very specific itineraries, and though he might not say it, he gets VERY distressed when his outings don’t go to plan

ed 100% is the bitch to be like “yeah alright i’ll clean up once i finish this up” and then NEVER cleans. stede either gently aggressively reminds him after a few hours. if that doesn’t work, he’ll drag ed’s greasy ass into a bath to make him clean

stede rocks on the balls of his feet. also, rambles like there’s no tomorrow. man gets So Excited about Everything (and ed will just sit there and give him heart eyes)

ed does silly little schmoves. kinda like full body stims? idk i like when he does silly dances like in episode eight

Ok so. Musical is a bit of a mess to put it lightly. I am aware of that in the same way that I am aware that Russel Crowe as Javert is a bit of a mess. However I am a known enjoyer of things that are a bit of a mess.

Anyways. Part of where like recordings of the soundtrack fall flat is that the Broadway version that is our most accessible recording and most often preformed version makes Jekyll just. The wettest rat of a man, as in even when he's being a bitch, he's being played up as like. A dishrag. It's worst in Confrontation (the Complete Works version with Anthony Warlow is the one that trended on TikTok for a reason and that is because Jekyll doesn't sound like a sad cat reaction image) but even when he's going "Fuck these guys I'll just do it myself," he sounds like he'd be stopped by a stiff breeze. My humble opinion is that. This man is not in fact *that* level of pathetic. Like he's pathetic, just not. That pathetic. He's a man who lives on the bleeding edge of science and you don't do that if you are that level of made of tissue paper. The Complete Works is tonally a bit more unhinged but totals out to like two hours WITHOUT any of the spoken segments and a couple of the songs that are like! Good from the broadway version just don't hit quite right there! Honestly you could make a playlist slamming together songs from both versions and come away with something much more. Maybe not accurate per say, but probably more entertaining.

That is all that will be remotely coherent. This is the point where I explain a musical that I am sorry in advance if you've seen because Long Tangent. Closing out my proper J&H Musical Thoughts here, you are welcome to just Ignore the rest of this thing.

I am in fact "guy who watches musicals once, goes 'huh, neat,' and then starts grabbing songs for their home-grown blorbos" so I happen to have a collection of musical soundtracks (except Hamilton. I've self imposed a Hamilton ban because that's all there would be otherwise) to pull from just on hand ready to go. And I came to. Well, easily one of the conclusions ever because I was weighing between songs from J&H and Finding Neverland for a playlist. That is that, for Some reason, the latter half of Finding Neverland is like. The tonal opposite of J&H but starts coming close to the duality of man themes in similar ways.

This is mostly weird because Finding Neverland is a musical that is, in theory, based off of REAL MAN playwright James Barrie. The Peter Pan guy. The show is like a Marginally more fantastical Hamilton type of approach where you can tell that this is Not How These Things Happened In Real Life but in a way where it's like "Let's use our imagination together to get through the worst of life, as a Group!!" until RIGHT before you go to intermission where you get "Circus of your Mind" and "Live by the Hook". Circus of your Mind is like okay sure just the rising action higher tensions version of things happening in this dude's imagination, things are bad now, sure. Why not. "Live by the Hook" is directly after that and is where fictional character Captain Hook appears to introduce himself to James Barrie as "the part of you you don't like to talk about at tea parties" and tell him he needs to write a properly scary villain. Hook cameos in the background of like Multiple scenes in the rest of the play as a shadow (limited by Hook sharing an actor with another character for "Oh look the more intense part of him he doesn't like is the same as the guy putting financial pressure on him ohhh we're Cool and Smart" reasons) to be like? Motivating I guess? This is mostly weird as all hell because, again, this is ostensibly about a real guy?? Baffling choice here, up there with the romance plot existing at all (dude was ???? dude was something but not. The cheater who ditched his wife for a dying woman THAT's pretty sure).

The rest of the plays aren't all that similar but if you want same energy opposite directions for like. "Façade Reprise 1," and "Confrontation" then "All of London is Here," for the former and "Live by the Hook," and "Stronger" for the latter are sure out there I guess? If you need songs for a playlist where those are just too negative ig.

If you haven't listened to Finding Neverland it's pretty good if you approach it as not biographical, although I saw it live off Broadway first and I cannot, for the life of me, find the song that took the place of All of London in that version which has been driving me BATTY for like four years now.
