DESCRIPTION/ while at a game you’re getting particularly targeted by the opposing team and it eventually gets out of hand but..nika don’t play about her girl

WARNINGS/ light descriptions of shoving & hitting, hateful words, descriptions of a bloody nose, cursing, spitting

Lost count of words but this is kinda short, more of a blurb (I think don’t quote me on that🌝)

THERE’S 3 THINGS NIKA DONT PLAY ABOUT, HERSELF, HER MONEY OR HER GIRL…you’ve always been independent and Nika knows you’re tough and can handle yourself but one of y’all’s relationship dynamics is you saying “I can do it myself” and Nika saying “I know you can but let me” She’s always been protective over you especially in games.

It’s the only the first quarter but you can tell that the opposing team was on your ass. You didn’t blame them at first, you where a menace on the court if you’re left un-guarded you would be quick to shoot. But it got the point where you where LITERALLY getting pushed around with multiple technical fouls getting called on the other team. Sure this was a contact sport but you where getting insanely targeted. You pull yourself together & get your head back in the game.

One of the opposing players had the ball, she sprinted down the court. She was on a mission but so where you. You block her shot and steal the ball passing it down to Nika she shoots and gets a three. The opposing player looked livid “that was just a fucking lucky play” the girl murmured at you and Nika. Both of you quick to snap your head around, you where pissed but held your tongue, Nika did the talking for you “How about you say it with your chest next time” she just rolled her eyes and continued the game.

As the game went on it only got worse the shoves got more personal, little snarky comments, the bitchy looks. It didn’t bother you as much as it did now, the refs not calling fouls on the other team for obvious techs only added fuel to the fire. Nika was fighting back for you giving back the same energy to them. The ball was in your hands and suddenly you got dogged on a girl trying to snatch the ball from you causing y’all both to fall to the ground you didn’t give up tho you snatched it right the hell back, “fucking bitch” she said getting all in your face. The whistle blew and a technical foul got called ONLY on you, you rolled your eyes as your teammates helped you up “bullshit” you exclaimed at the ref, Nika holds you back patting your back “Come on bebo they’re assholes I know but don’t get another unnecessary foul just fight them with your plays alright, make ‘em shut there mouths”

As the next quarter rolls around you just try to keep your head up, Nika having your back being aggressive with them & standing up for you. The balls back in your possession you go to make a shot but the same girl that pushed you down goes to “block”, her elbow hitting your nose knocking you down to the ground. The whole room felt like it was spinning there was a ringing in your ears. Once you felt a little more grounded you look down seeing blood on your jersey, you brought your hand up to your throbbing nose feeling the blood gushing down. The whistle blows a foul getting called on the opposing team fina-fucking-lly

“The fuck is your deal?” you see Nika yelling at the girl that elbowed you. “It’s a contact sport, if she can’t handle a little contact then she should pick a different sport” she bites back, Your teamates helps getting you to the medic. Nika scoffs at the girl. “maybe you should watch your damn mouth, getting all petty because you’re shit at basketball so you have to get fouls just to make a single shot” the girl shoved Nika and that’s when she lost it. Nika shoved her right back causing her to hit the ground. “Foul on Mühl” the ref called.

“keep my girls name out your fucking mouth” she spit on the girl. With another foul called on her she got dragged court side, she had been benched for this quarter of the game. She sat next you, her gaze immediately softening “Hey pretty girl, you okay?” she moves a lose stand of hair that fell from your ponytail out of your face. you nod “i’m fine nika..but you shouldn’t have got into a physical altercation now you’re ben-“ she cut you off “I wasn’t just gonna stand there and let you get dogged on, you know i got your back always..besides it’s just this quarter of the game” she cups your face gently “I wasn’t gonna let some bitch touch what’s mine and get away with it”

After a lecture from the couches & the refs they let Nika & you back in the game for the last quarter. Y’all played like y’all’s life depended on it. You already know you guys secured that win. You celebrated once y’all won. Nika pulling you into a tight hug “That’s my girl!..hell yeah see bebo I told you just let your plays do the talking” she winks “says the one who yelled and spat on a girls face” you laugh, she kisses you to shut you up, she smiles against your lips “And i’d gladly do it again for you, besides I play better when i’m pissed”

you and roderick were close friends

roderick developed a big crush on heather hills right before school let out for summer

he would constantly go out of the way to impress heather, each time failing and embarrassing himself, “roddy, it’s okay, heather just hard to impress, you know?… i was impressed, by the way” you would smile and try to laugh it all off with him, trying your best to make him feel better

when roderick finally got flat out rejected by heather, it caused an argument between you two.

“you know what, y/n? this is all your fault! you- you got between me and heather, you’re the reason she didn’t like me!”

you two are standing in his room, after a particularly embarrassing incident at the pool.

“roderick, what the fuck are you saying? i didn’t do anything to make heather not like you! it has nothing to do with me!”

“it has everything to do you with you!”

“how?! please, enlighten me because all i’ve done this entire summer was console you each time heather shut you down! each time you embarrassed yourself right in front of her!”

“i- i, uh…”

“that’s what i fucking thought. stop blaming stupid shit like this on me, rodrick, i’m tired of it. i’ve been here for you through all this dumbass heather hills bullshit. have you ever stopped to think how i felt? huh? rodrick, why do you think i approached you that one day in middle school? it wasn’t because you were nice, definitely not. it was because for some reason, i liked you, i liked you a lot. to this day i like you! i’ve stayed your friend even after you do shit like this to me, because i have a giant stupid fat crush on you, you asshole! ugh! fuck you!”

at that point, you were emotional. a tear or two escaping. you walk away, or at least attempt to walk away. roderick grabs your arm, “let go of me, you prick!” you try to yank it away, but he pulls you back.

“y/n, can you stop? stop trying to walk away from me?” “no! i’m done with you!” “y/n, i didn’t even get say anything about-“ “yeah? well, i don’t want you to!”

he continues to pull you toward him, as you try to pull away. you yell profanities at him as he tries to talk to you. “y/n, why didn’t you tell me? if i’d known, i wouldn’t have done any of this stuff to try and get with heather! i wasn’t a dick to you in 7th grade because i had a crush on you too! and- and i, uh, i still do, okay?”

you scoff and shake your head, stopping your attempts to yank yourself away and out the door.

“i’m being serious!”

“no, you aren’t.”

“i am”

“no, you aren’t. you’re just saying this because you’re hurt about heather, and now need a backup plan to get a girl.”

“y/n, no, i’m being dead serious, it’s not like that.” he walks toward you. maybe, he is being serious. you can tell when he’s lying, you’ve seen him lie to his mom millions of times. your eyebrows furrow, looking all over his face, just to make sure he’s not lying straight to your face.

he sighs, “please, believe me.”

he said please. he never uses the word please, only when he’s really trying to be sincere.

you bite your lip. what are you even supposed to do, right now? you want to kiss him, but you’ve had that urge so many times, and each time you’ve ignored it.

despite your nerves almost eating you alive right now, you quickly move to reach your free arm up, grabbing his shoulder and pushing your lips to his.

he drops your arm from his grasp. his lips don’t move against yours, and even though your eyes are tightly shut, you feel his burning into you.

oh. you remember he’s never kissed anyone. you pull away immediately. when you open your eyes, his are wide and staring right at you. you think he realizes why you pulled away. he attempts to play it cool, per usual.

“um, yeah, that was cool.” he avoids eye contact. scratching his neck, and nodding his head. his face heats up and he turns his head away, occasionally darting his eyes to look at you. “totally cool…”

you sigh, watching his movements. was that the wrong thing to do?

“i, um, im sorry, that was sudden…”

rodrick realizes you might regret it, what if you never want to kiss him again? what then? he’s really going to look like an asshole.

“what? no! no, it was cool, really! um, maybe, we can do it again? sometime? i guess…” he forces out a casual laugh at the end, even though he’s slightly panicking on the inside, fearing he looks like a total loser (past his “cool punk rock” persona he has going on, we all know kind of is LOL).

you raise your eyebrows, trying to mimic this whole ‘if you’re cool, i’m cool’ thing roderick is doing. “yeah, well…i’m free, right now…if you wanna…” you smile mischievously at him, gauging his reaction closely.

he nods frantically, and you laugh at his wide eyed expression. you quickly close the gap between you two, grabbing the sides of his face with both hands and kissing him urgently. his hands find your waist and snake around to hold you close. he kisses you back with a same urgent neediness.

Jin: He would try his best to carry on with your friendship as if nothing was amiss, but he wouldn’t be able to hide his distaste for your partner, avoiding being around them as much as possible, which unfortunately means avoiding you at times as well. The growing tension between you would likely result in you either drifting apart for a while, or him eventually confessing after you call him out on it, tho what the outcome of that would be is unclear.

Yoongi: He wouldn’t dare show it, not even to friends who might know about his feelings towards you, but he’s devastated. This is the exact thing he was afraid would happen, bc like you’re amazing, of course you would find somebody. He just hoped he wouldn’t have to watch it happen. He would try to continue your friendship as normal, but there’s an invisible wall that’s been built between the two of you now that you don’t understand.

Honestly tho, he would try his hardest to act as though it doesn’t bother him, bc at least you’re happy, but he lowkey feels like his heart’s getting wrung out every time he sees you with your partner. He might consider pulling away for a bit, but he loves you too much to actually do so, so he just tries to ride it out and hope his feelings will calm over time…

Namjoon: oooh boy, you’re now the new fan-favorite break-up track on his next album. No but fr, he would be soo angsty and sulky about the situation, avoiding you for days/weeks after finding out. He knows it’s not fair to just shut you out without any real explanation, but he’s afraid of how sharing his feelings would fuck up your friendship even more. It would end up spiraling into a fight when you confront him about his weird behavior and he finally spills the truth.(I want to believe that y’all would work it out in the end but🤷)

Jimin: I feel like in his mind, he wants to handle it maturely and pretend nothing’s wrong, but in reality, he completely ices you both out. It’s his knee-jerk response whenever he’s hurt, and so he just leaves it to you to try and figure out why he’s suddenly so upset with you. He might even go back to normal just as suddenly bc he misses you, and just pretends like he wasn’t avoiding you, leaving you even more lost about what the fuck is going on.

Taehyung: Oooh this boy, he would be soo fucking dramatic, sulking and acting as if you’ve dumped him, even tho you never actually went out or talked about his feelings in the first place. He’d blame your partner for “stealing you away”, even tho they likely don’t have a clue about his feelings for you either. If you confront him and ask him what’s up, he’ll likely spill the whole thing immediately, but he won’t dare bring it up himself out of fear of rejection and ruining your friendship.

Jungkook: You’re seeing someone?! Behind his back?! Even though he never actually told you that he had feelings for you, so you have no clue what the fuck is going on?! Fr tho, he would be soo angsty, moping and avoiding you for days, ignoring your calls and texts. This would only last for a few days tho before his feelings start to eat him alive and he’s showing up at your place and pouring his heart out to you. He doesn’t care if it’s too late or you reject him, he just needs you to know.
