Deciding to finally post this work I did months ago and no longer keep it locked in a vault in a dungeon. This was super challenging for me to do I’m not even gonna lie lol. I’ve never done a two-person composition with a background before but there’s a first time for everything and it is also how we grow as artists.

As you can see there’s not much happening in the background and the sparkling lights fade into the background as well. I wanted to go for a Polaroid effect and I ran into many issues with figuring out how to best achieve that look. Looking back now, I don’t think it came out bad at all and I can use this as a learning experience

In conclusion he ends up finding his whole existential crisis (he has one after the tournament, you can't tell me otherwise) quite funny and makes it his new goal in life just to torment him even more (for the funsies) - he wouldn't show himself to Jay at first to watch him, and once he confirms his new goal in life, he turns invisible like Cole could in s6 and just stands next to him and tells him some weird shit - Jay goes mad even more bc not only two different partes tell him different things about him, but now he also has a voice in his head that either makes him question his every single decision or hums random songs during fights.

So, Ghosts are Dragons sort of AU. Which means that the people in Crime Alley debate on whether local dad Peter (Who is totally with Red Hood they're sure) & the kids are dragon-based metas, or in fact straight up dragons disguised as humans.

Jason isn't exactly oblivious about this per se, but like, dude also has 13 kids ranging from 4 to 6 who are also both very powerful and also traumatized from the whole GIW experiments going on. So. He's understandable more than a bit Distracted.

Kaeya had always been an efficient and hard-working individual (he had to be to support Diluc in the background as his brother rose thru the ranks after all).

He has so much free time because he completes all his work way ahead of schedule. And if he still has enough time, he adds more to the workload in secret.

And once all of that was done and over with, he makes time for everyone. He has to. He feels as if every moment has to be given to someone else.

No one knows how he does it. No one has to know.

Every mission has a dozen strategies in line, and every battle plan is made with efficiency in mind. His perfect record will not be tarnished. He can't risk it (even if it baffles others that he would willingly activate a ruin guard just to prevent a failed mission. Jean disagrees with his methods, but Kaeya can say that the results say otherwise)

He needs to be quick.

Efficient.

Perfect.

And so he comes and goes like the wind.

Kaeya values time because he knew every second counted. He can't just stand there as if he were frozen. Time could run out in an instant.

Kaeya had only been late once his entire life.

He'd rather he never be late ever again.

It took one day of being of being imperfect for everything to fall apart. On that tragic day...had he gotten there on time... then maybe...

He imagines hearing a clock ticking.

Kaeya knows that that is his own problem. He tries his hardest to relax as he waits for the traveler to finish whatever they're making on the alchemy table because, seriously, it is supposed to be a relaxing day. There's nothing major going on, and his schedule is once again empty as intended. What's the hurry?

Kaeya taps his foot on the ground as he waits. He wishes he could take his own damn advice when he tells others to relax.

Hornet headcanon!

'Hornet' is not Hornet's true name.

I'm still torn between different reasonings for her having the name either

A- It was given to her as an honorary title, by Queen Vespa, during her training within the hive (or bestowed upon her after having finished her training as a symbol of her accomplishments.)

Or B- She gave the name to herself, after the fall of the kingdom, as a way to separate her current self from her past while still honoring some part of her past. (The part that is easiest for her to look back on.)

As for her birth name my sisters and I have decided on Arachnè. (The name is from a Greek myth, where the protagonist Arachnè challenges Athena to a weaving contest, wins, and is afterwards transformed into a spider.)

I never expected them to be grateful for being "saved," I'd just think it's certainly a choice for them to Most Mad at the only guy who wasn't going to let them rot. But if it's a "we need someone to blame" then that makes sense.

Even if he wasn’t gonna let them rot, he WAS gonna take them out with him had his True Ending Sacrifice gone as it had in the game. They don’t know this, this is just extra DoobYi characterization. But he wasn’t expecting to be alive, either tbh.

That said, he takes the public opinion of him and the Sols very seriously and doesn’t blame them even if sometimes the grievances are heavy-handed. This is a Yi who will apologize many times over for the actions of the council, for the failure of the project, for the lies and the lives ruined, both apemen and solarian, and for the individual hurts he’s caused to Kuafu, Goumang, Shaunshuan and Heng. If Eigong and many of the other Sols are not here to share the responsibility, then he will shoulder the blame, as he believes he should. Even if, y’know, everyone who IS glad he didn’t die is telling him to knock it off.

hater opinion - katniss was more fucked up mentally than annie was she was having nervous breakdowns to the point they had to sedate her and went full catatonic for like a month. peeta was definitely worse than her, and pre mockingjay haymitch’s alcoholism was more detrimental than anything we saw annie doing in District 13. the only time we see her after finnick’s death she’s completely with it and able to make a major decision based on sound logical reasoning even though she must have been deep in grief when a major plot recurrence throughout the story is people falling apart in their grief (haymitch, katniss, mrs everdeen) whenever people say she wouldn’t be able to raise a baby by herself or live alone i can tell they just heard the word “mad” or “crazy” and run with it without actually remembering what we canonically know about her character

like yeah. maybe she’ll need some sort of help with her kid, because she’s a single mom and that’s hard. maybe she decides not to live alone for her own comfort because experiencing some of the symptoms she does can make it difficult to live alone, that’s fair. but we know she can live alone, because she does in Thirteen. we see her at some of the worst times in her life, which means yeah, she’s having a lot of symptoms, but she’s also always able to communicate, she’s able to track what’s going on around her, and she’s able to actually navigate and mitigate her symptoms to a degree that nobody else in canon can do. people’s interpretations of Annie get so far out there that they become actually contradictory to who she is in canon, and it ends up being to the detriment of all those other characters you mentioned who are severely struggling with their mental health but seen to not be as badly off, just because Annie gets the moniker of “the mad girl” and people don’t look beyond that. truly, the ableism of it all!

Also their classification of heavyweight is based on Roman era standards and for a good portion of the early middle ages when dragons were smaller. In the modern era (at the time of Skies over Jura and canon Temeraire) they're comparable to a large middleweight
