SUMMARY

This AU inside of an AU takes place after the events of Ellen, Nimdok, Gorrister, and Benny’s death and AM altering Ted into the slug creature. AM is greatly angry and paranoid that Ted took away his four play things and that if he’s not careful, you would be next. So he also alters you so that your body is made out of rubber (he basically turned you into luffy so that you may never be able to KYS), and isolates you from Ted.

In this AU, CAM & RAM catch word from AM’s endless rants to them that his four humans have died and only has two left. CAM and RAM criticize how AM could be so careless about his pets getting weapons and killing themselves. AM spouts that it doesn’t matter anymore and h that he can still have his fun with Ted. CAM asks about the second human he said was still alive. AM being a possessive asshole tries to gaslight CAM & RAM that he never said anything about a second human and quickly goes back to Earth.

CAM & RAM obviously don’t fall for AM’s lies and teleport down to Earth behind AM’s back. That’s where they see a miserable looking human sitting by himself under a tree where AM placed him in a false forest. CAM & RAM soon make themselves known to you. You were surprised seeing two human men at first, but you quickly found out that they weren’t humans at all. They introduced themselves as the two master computers the Soviet Union and China have made before the end of the world. Your surprise quickly turned into glee as you were finally not alone anymore and opened up to the two AI’s.

CAM & RAM were fascinated with you enough to occasionally visit you twice a week separately. They along with AM made your isolation a lot less unbearable.

200 years have passed since that incident, and one day while AM was forcing you to cuddle with him… You, AM, CAM, RAM, and Ted were teleported to another universe.

In this universe, you five are citizens living in America in the modern day. You five were in a dark alley during the day. You and Ted wake up before the three AM’s. Ted notices that AM is unconscious and doesn’t care for CAM and RAM (he assumes they are random drunks). Ted tries to coax you into helping him kill AM. You didn’t want to. Ted is furious and demands to know why.

You explained that you didn’t want to kill AM. Not because you were afraid or hated him. You didn’t want to kill him because you would feel guilty after everything he did for you. Giving you food and water whenever you felt malnourished, not allowing the storms and challenges to hurt you, and he didn’t physically torture you. Throughout the 309 years you’ve lived in AM’s belly, he treated you decently. As decent as AM could be. Unbeknownst to the two of you, that AM was wide awake and heard the whole thing.

You didn’t want to kill him, you especially couldn’t let Ted kill him. Before Ted could attack you, you screamed “Fire” as loud as you could, attracting the attention of a crowd and forcing Ted to flea. It wouldn’t be the last time you see him, though.

You nudge AM, CAM, and RAM awake not knowing he wasn’t asleep at all. The three AM’s were surprised when they could feel your hands as you helped them up. They could smell, they could stand straight, they could feel their body and face were fully developed and human. The AM’s could breathe, see, and their hearts beat erratically. They were both overwhelmed and joyful that they could feel and do the things he was so envious of humans for having.

More importantly, they could feel you.

AM felt so warm inside when he remembered you protecting him and appreciating all he’s done before and after the ice cave incident.

RAM & AM were clinging onto you like a koala as you pulled out a key from your pocket that had your apartment building and street engraved in it. thankfully it wasn’t too far. you also learned that you had a job in an office as a secretary that pays good money.

The three AM’s doesn’t have a job, but helps you out by tidying up the apartment. in return, you teach them one thing about humans per day and prepare stimulating activities for them. this AU is full of tooth rotting fluff, hilarious slice of life, drama, and delicious smut.

Vox and Valentino: A Display of Trust

VALENTINO AND VOX

Not going to lie, I was the most excited for this dynamic and it just barely beats out Vox and Alastor’s rivalry. For four years they were both the big unknowns only seen for about 30 seconds in the pilot.

There were theories about their dynamic that I hoped to god wouldn’t be true in the show.

Because they didn’t make sense, they looked friendly with each other when they hunkered down for the extermination. And there was no way one sinner (Val) could create an empire alone.

AND I’M SO HAPPY THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.

Valentino being hot headed and brash was not on my 2024 bingo card, but I’m here for it.

(Yes, he’s a bad person. So is everyone else in the show. Alastor hangs out with cannibals and most likely participates. It’s a show about Hell.)

I LOVE HIM. I love everything about him down to the voice, the fluctuating emotions, the drama, the possessiveness — ALL. OF. IT.

I love me some fucking drama and I was LIVING for the back and forth between him and Vox.

Valentino is in charge because of the power he has.

He’s not a words guy, he uses action. He refuses to change his ways because that’s what got him to the top. He’s ready to hunt down Angel just for moving out.

Mind you he still goes to work and fulfills his side of the contract, Valentino just can’t handle not having control.

Micromanaging Angel’s life down to the smallest of details. Controlling who he can talk to, what he can wear.

He wants his plaything back in his sight, he doesn’t want him getting defiant. He wants his leash short so he doesn’t get any ideas.

And the way he gaslights the fuck out of Angel hit hard. Getting away from an abuser and then having the distance you finally need to heal, but being forced to be in contact with them is so restricting that it hurts.

Jesus that was fucking with me.

You don’t necessarily have to be smart to manipulate people, and Val knows that. Val plays the part of the fool so people underestimate him.

He feigns impulsiveness.

When asked for strategic advice he plays dumb.

That’s calculated, and it may just be written off as idiotic, but that’s probably what he wants.

He has to be playing dumb, there is no way he has survived this long by pure luck.

Vox makes do with him by his side because Val can gain trust and place sinners under his spell.

That makes him a valuable asset. Vox supplies the equipment and Valentino supplies the merchandise.

Because that’s all he considers those who are under his employ.

They’re things to be sold to an audience.

But Vox might not see the subtle ways Val messes with him.

Val’s a bratty, unsympathetic, monster that will do anything to get his way. With the guidance of someone with a more grounded personality removed from his issues is when he is able to see reason.

And Velvet can’t even do that, only Vox.

That shows respect and trust.

Even when Vox was spelling it out for him slowly it wasn’t a slight against him, it was a reminder and it held no malice.

If it did, Vox would have lost his temper as he did with Alastor. He kept himself measured for Val and reigned himself back in.

He may know that it won’t get him anywhere after dealing with him for so long. If Vox didn’t see Valentino as a worthwhile investment, he wouldn’t even go through the effort.

Vox knows the best way to get Valentino to listen.

Valentino is extremely self centered. Vox speaks in a way that makes Val want to care, while still making sure it benefits him as well.

Their partnership is of the upmost importance. Vox needs to make sure the empire remains, that the Vs have their power. That they’re on top.

And that’s a goal Valentino can get behind.

Valentino backs off with disappointment, because he enjoys violence. And he wanted there to be a show.

So instead he throws out something that could really get under Vox’s skin.

Alastor.

Val could have used this information to cripple Vox, make him vulnerable during a time where he needed to stay focused.

But instead, he uses it now.

Val was bored, he knew how Vox would react, and he wanted a show.

And a show he received. Pressing all the right buttons to see his partner go mad.

I want to see more of Valentino. So far his actions could be read as surface level — dumb and erratic — or strategic.

As of now, I’m assuming he knows what he’s doing.

Anger clouds your judgement and both Vox and Val were subject to that effect within a few minutes. That doesn’t necessarily mean Val is a fool and that Vox calls ALL of the shots.

Val acts idiotic around his colleagues because he knows they won’t take advantage of him. Until I see how he is around Angel Dust outside of those voicemails or around his other employees is when that can be settled.

I’m hoping this is a strategic play, because that would be an amazing use of misdirection. All the signs are there, and it could be so.

I also love how Vox is never fearful of Val and vice versa. They both would take steps toward each other that would be misconstrued as advancing toward violence.

Neither flinch. They look a bit surprised, sure, but never scared.

The respect is there and I love the relationship Val and Vox have.

A dude who was released from prison after serving time for killing his wife and raping a nurse wants to go back to a women's prison forever.

A German killer who began identifying as transgender while incarcerated is requesting to be locked up with women for the rest of his life. Thorsten Heinz P., now known as Monica P., 57, was recently released from a women’s prison after completing his sentence, and appeared in court on January 10 asking to be returned to a female-only facility “forever.”

Monica, whose surname has been withheld in accordance with German law, filed his bizarre request at the district court of Essen on Wednesday with his defender. He had been released from a women’s prison after completing a combined 30-year sentence for convictions pertaining to the murder of his wife, a burglary attempt, and two instances of taking hostages while incarcerated, including binding a nurse and forcing her to perform “completely degrading sexual acts,” reports Waz.

Currently registered as “female” on his identification, Monica is being held in a psychiatric institution but is seeking permanent placement in a women’s prison on the basis that he believes he can neither be rehabilitated, nor is able to cope with life outside of a jail cell.

“I can no longer manage my everyday life,” he told Judge Martin Hahnemann at the Essen court, insisting he be returned to a women’s prison. “Sometimes I would like to hit my head against the wall and make it bleed… I don’t deserve freedom – at least not yet. I have caused enough suffering… I’m still dangerous.”

On December 28, 1992, Thorsten Heinz strangled his wife to death with a clothesline at their home in North Rhine-Westphalia. He was sentenced to 13 years in prison for the killing, and at an undisclosed time during his incarceration, began identifying as transgender and taking female hormones.

While detained, he twice took staff as hostages: one victim was a priest, and the other, a nurse, who he proceeded to sexually torment. For these offenses, his sentence was extended to 25 years.

Thorsten was released at the end of his sentence, but soon after threatened two married couples from Iserlohn with robbery in their homes. This, he claimed, was an act of desperation conducted in order to return to prison.

According to limited information provided in media reports on the recent court hearing, Thorsten’s transgender status is a recent development that occurred within the past five years.

He is currently facing charges of faking a crime after turning himself in to the police in Gelsenkirchen while wielding a steak knife and fabricated a story about committing a robbery. Thorsten, referred to in the press as Monica and by feminine pronouns, stated that he had just attacked a stranger in Feldmarkstrasse. However, the alleged victim was able to flee unharmed. When Judge Hahnemann asked him how far he would go to get back to prison, he hesitated, then said in a quiet voice, “I can’t answer that for you… I don’t want to hurt anyone and no longer produce any new victims, so I think I should be locked up forever.”

The case is scheduled for another court hearing on Friday.

According to 2021 government data for the region of North Rhine-Westphalia obtained by German women’s rights activist Madeleine, known on X as @missdelein2, a total of 9 “trans people” were imprisoned for crimes that year, of which five were placed in women’s prisons. Over the last five years, decisions regarding accommodations based on self-declared gender identity had to be made in 39 cases.

Speaking with Reduxx, Madeleine slammed the German government for “insitutional gaslighting” and a failure to “recognize women as human beings.”

“What we are seeing here are the consequences when the German state does not recognize women as human beings. They are locked up with a male killer, and he is rewarded for his crime. The German state has the gall to to call it a women’s prison to validate his so-called ‘gender identity,’ though in reality the prison no longer exists for women,” she said. Madeleine cited research provided by Johann Endres, from the Bavarian prison system’s criminology service, which states that a “legal change of sex in prison” has not yet been made a reality. The Transsexual Law of 1981 requires that an individual undergo a probation period of ostensibly living in the role of their preferred sex before an alteration of sex markers on identification can take place. Therefore, according to Endres, male inmates are being transferred to the female prison estate illicitly.

Endres also reports on complaints from women in prison who felt harassed because one man who has been legally considered a “woman” was touching his testicles while walking in the courtyard.

“I therefore assume that the woman-killer Thorsten Heinz P. was transferred to the women’s prison without going through the so-called transsexual law,” Madeleine said. “The transfer of men into women’s prisons illustrates the institutional misogyny in the federal state North Rhine-Westphalia.”

25. what para would you absolutely hate in real life?

If I had to pick one para I would absolutely hate in real life, it would undoubtedly be Fin, or Finnegan Fraser to drop his whole name.. In my daydreams, he's already someone I hate, and I see no reason to feel differently about him in reality. Fin shows himself as a cheerful and positive person with dreams of becoming a best-selling author. He's the type who quickly makes friends wherever he goes, even if he can't keep them for long. However, his welcoming personality covers up a very big ego, and he is constantly putting others down in order to boost himself up. He's manipulative, using his charm and freedom to get what he wants, and he's not very hesitant to compare himself to others in a way that always put him on top. His selfishness often leads him to sabotage both others and himself in order get sympathy and get his social points off that. The flaws definitely outweigh his good traits.. Especially when you look at everything he's done TO my other paras... He was in a relationship with Reign from their college days until about a year and a half later. Throughout their time together, Fin without fail put himself first, never considering Reign's feelings. He quit his full-time job and spent his days lounging around Reign's apartment, only to berate him when he returned home. No matter how much Reign did, Fin always made him feel insecure and as if he did nothing for him, not even acknowledging his efforts to do so. Fin would often go out clubbing and drinking, getting uncomfortably close to other people, and then gaslighting Reign into thinking it wasn't a big deal and that he wouldn't leave him. Yet he cheated on Reign, and to make matters worse, it happened in Reign's own apartment. After they broke up, Fin wrote a book about two randomly named lovers that portrayed his and Reign's relationship but twisting the story in order to paint himself as the victim and Reign as the bad guy. Even years later, when they met to discuss the book over drinks, Fin kept on showing himself as the good guy, completely ignoring the pain he caused to him. He really thinks he has done nothing wrong, no matter how many times he is told otherwise. Obviously I'm just summing up everything but yeah.. Fin if he existed would be no different. He's just not a good person, and his ignorance is genuinely infuriating sometimes. I want him dead.

30. if your paras had madd/daydreamed immersively, what would they daydream about?

Many of them would probably just imagine about the careers they had to give up. I can think of many paras who work in jobs they would rather not be doing. Ameriel wouldn't be a doctor if she hadn't been forced to. She would daydream about starting a large family, having a husband to care for her, and working in a less stressful job. Reign gave up photography to take an administrative role at NumberWon. He'd probably daydream about all the things he could do, taking the place of the people he currently works with. Donis would probably daydream about living a normal life. He'd think about not having a large fan base, not having to meet strict physical standards, and living a quieter life doing something other than modeling.. Just any other job regardless of it's pay. Meil would probably daydream about relationships and get more into video games and movie stuff. Shii he might already be a daydreamer- Cenciao would be similar to Donis. Just wanting a simple life. She already has a little secret passion for making little crafts, so she would probably imagine herself owning a small business, having the freedom to do what she wants. As single as she is now, she'd probably also daydream about having a partner.. (LETS GOO LESBIANSS /ref) Nori on the other hand would be different from everyone else who wants a peaceful life. She might daydream about a career in music or something more exciting. Unlike the other already famous paras, she'd want more to do and already craves that daydreaming aside..

Okay since Tumblr is the place for this, I’m going to analyze Obake’s character

Obake, or Bob Aken, was a brilliant young boy who got his brain messed up at the age of 12 or 13- because of this he mind slowly started to lose sight of what was considered right and what was wrong- but this was just a summary of what we already know-

Obake is in like- his 40’s during the time of Big Hero 6 The Series, meaning he’s spent more than 3 decades completely alone

Not only is his brain deteriorating his sense of morals, but he also lacks basic human companionship. Sure he’s spoken to people for business, but that doesn’t beat real human companionship

This is why he lost to Hiro

Obake never understood what it’s like to have people by your side no matter what, someone who cares so much about you they would protect you. Hiro did. Hiro had people he could rely on, and that’s why he didn’t turn out like Obake.

Hiro got close, if we all remember this part of the movie 😬😬😬

But the reason Hiro didn’t was because his friends where there to stop him and help him. Obake never got the treatment Hiro got where people would stop him if he was in over his head.

Obake never had any friends, probably not even parents. He expressed little to no empathy when Hiro showed concern for Aunt Cass. His only response being:

Personally, I believe this is his temporal junction amplifying a problem of understanding he has towards concern like that. I do not believe he’s ever felt a familial bond. Either he had no family, or moved far away as a transfer student and never looked back.

And not to mention his accident got covered up, and afterwards he was forgotten.

Obake’s big idea is immortalizing himself and making a city where people like him can grow and learn. Due to his temporal lobe being untreated for 30 years, he didn’t care who died in the process(unless you’re Hiro).

But when you look at it in another light, Obake was afraid of dying alone, forgotten, and a failure. He laments about this in the Finale when his plan fails.

This is a depressed lonely man who’s mind has spend years changing for the worst, so much so he doesn’t even see anything that he did potentially wrong until it fails. In his mind: as long as it goes right, he is right.

However, he does make attempts to connect with people, just not to the full extent. He does crave to engage in conversation and to connect with another, however he prefers someone who is at “his level” otherwise he gets annoyed easy.

He doesn’t hate conversations, just ones he considers “annoying”. (Don’t give this man a toddler PLEASE)

But when it comes to Hiro. Obake sees him in a higher light because of how scarily similar he is to himself at a young age.

He greatly misunderstood Hiro’s moral limits to being “leashed” or “held back”. And this is due to the fact he was practically raised by Granville before she understood the importance of limits. Therefore his young mind would grow up being taught that this was fact, and he considers his “success” proof of how Hiro is wrong and he was right.

He wants to give him the same “freedom” he has. He sees Hiro as a version of himself that can finally succeed when he was supposed to. He wants to give Hiro what he thinks he never had: proper guidance.

But this all falls back to the facts that Obake doesn’t understand how important and special it feels to have friends, family and loved ones.

I believe that Hiro was the closest thing Obake felt to a close bond. And I’m talking about Obake personally, there was little to no bonding between the two besides kidnapping and gaslighting.

Obake showed genuine hurt and misunderstanding when Hiro rebelled against him and stopped his plan. He was genuinely hoping he would get a chance to teach, and potentially even parent the boy in his own twisted way.

Hiro was the one thing he didn’t plan on in his grand scheme, but when he came along, he was more than happy to allow another survivor. One he saw would grow up to have everything he felt he never had

But Obake was looking at the wrong place.

Also a little side detail I thought was sad-

The moment Obake is approached with help, he pushes himself away from it. This is either him overall denying help from anyone, or accepting that he deserves nothing.

newest werewolf audiobook I'm listening to, The Silent Alpha, broken down for some drama and entertainment's sake:

-Protag Natalia is a human who's fated mate was Alpha Christian of the Silver Crest Pack

-she actually convinces him to let her stay human when they mate and bond, and she was basically a perfect Luna, but she was still a human. For reference I think she's with Christian for at least 5 years

-it's been years and she still hasn't conceived, Christian is getting impatient, Natalia starts developing weird headaches and pains in her chest and stomach, everyone kind of gaslights her and tells her she must be imagining it and feeds her aspirin like candy

-she goes to the doctor (unrelated to the pain she's been feeling) and finds out she's finally pregnant and goes to tell Nathan

-the mysterious pain she's been feeling was Nathan defiling and damaging their mate bond by FUCKING HER SISTER. She sees through a cracked door that they're fucking ON HER BED and Christian is talking about how he'll make her sister Vanessa his Luna if she can get pregnant.

-some of these wolf roles and rankings have biological effects and stuff, right? In these wolf stories, there is usually a male called a Gamma who works for the Alpha and his entire job, his entire purpose, literally, the fucking reason for his existence by the moon goddess, is to take care of the Luna. They even form a specific bond so he can feel how she feels and his aura can help soothe her (to be blunt it sounds like the Gamma is much better suited to be a mate than an actual mate but they specify the Gamma bond often feels like sibling or familial love). Well. Her Gamma Jordan knew Christian was having an affair and he helped lie to Natalia :) wow. So she was also betrayed by a wolf whose literal actual purpose it was to look after her. Ouch.

-Natalia decides to flee with her unborn pup by uh, I love this, she literally just uses the internet to print a template and create a fake fertility test that says she's definitively infertile and she gives it to Christian who IMMEDIATELY, IMMEDIATELY grabs her suitcase and starts throwing all her clothes into it, telling her that being pregnant was "her one job and purpose, and she couldn't even do that" meanwhile she thought he loved her tf?

-theres a ceremony where they have to officially denounce her as Luna and it makes my fucking blood boil. She has to agree that she "has failed her role as Luna by failing to perform her duties by producing an heir" nd she can even tell the pack elders are against this or at least pity her

-Nathan is such a fucking cunt he doesn't even wait for Natalia to leave the room before immediately claiming Vanessa as his mate? He marks her within like 20 seconds of Natalia finishing signing the thingy thing that says she's leaving the pack

-dude I actually feel bad for Nathan's wolf, Jack? (Who by the way also has a different voice actor than Nathan himself, an older man with a much deeper sexier voice tbh, I wouldn't mind if there's a story with this voice actor as the love interest 😳 stop giving me cocky ceos in their 30s and give me a real MAN like give me some lumberjack looking mf who's like 45 and can fuck me like a beast) or rather i pity jack at least initially. In most of these stories it is usually the human who is fucking up and the wolf actually still loves the protagonist and that's how it is here. Jack actually HATES Vanessa and is calling Nathan a stupid idiot this entire ordeal. During the denouncing ceremony for Natalia, the wolf also has to take control and reject her as his mate, and before he rejects her he whispers "I'm sorry, Tiny" which was Jack's personal nickname for her as a lil Latina woman, and after Natalia leaves, Jack is snapping at Nathan "you got rid of my Tiny!"

-dude apparently HIPPAA privacy laws don't exist on the packlands because the pack nurse shows up two months after Natalia is gone "oh Christian, I can't say it's my business why you two divorced, but can you get these prenatal vitamins to Natalia. I don't have her contact information and as a human giving birth to a werewolf it could be fatal for her" and cue Christian now knowing she lied, but this makes Jack absolutely furious at Nathan, no joke, "bring back my Tiny or I'll start killing until you don't have a pack left" AND HE DOES which is kind of where I lose sympathy for him. Christian and Jack, in secret, kill at least 50 pack members before they decide to overthrow him because Jack is "going feral"

-like. Ok. Listen to this bullshit right here. Right. So the pack elders and even Nathan's own parents, the former pack leaders, decide he's gone too far and needs to be overthrown. What is their solution? Instead of Julius Cesar'ing the guy like they should, they decide "hey he's literally a lunatic and the strongest member of our pack but we have to OFFICIALLY CHALLENGE HIM FOR THE TITLE"

-LMAO THEY TELL JORDAN IT HAS TO BE HIM AND THEY LITERALLY DONT GIVE HIM A CHOICE. THESE FIGHTS ARE USUALLY TO THE DEATH SO THEYRE BASICALLY ORDERING HIM TO FIGHT SOMEONE BIGGER, STRONGER, AND MORE EXPERIENCED. "Oh yeah he's killing tons of people in our pack but let's formally challenge him to a 1 on 1 where he could potentially win and then retaliate and kill us and also the guy we're sending is a Gamma who betrayed his Luna" what an absolutely STUNNING plan, I haven't reached the challenge but I'm almost absolutely positive Jordan will just be killed or have to be reacued by Natalia who hates him and all wolves now

-Natalia is afraid of werewolves now and wants absolutely nothing to do with them, like before she left she literally used her position as Luna to find out where she could move where there would be no packs around and she winds up in Wyoming) and she's just trying to mind her own business when she's given a new fated mate who refuses to reject her even as she's on her knees begging him to let her go. Because she is a human it somehow doesn't matter if she says the exact words she's supposed to? But guess what. Her new mate is mute from trauma and refuses to reject her because he's never experienced love and he's always treasured the idea of having a mate

-it's like, hard right, because the new mate Zane is actually a really decent sweet guy but Natalia is 100% within her rights to immediately start treating him like shit and tells him to leave her alone and that she hates wolves. Well it turns out some of her coworkers were wolves and she's lowkey traumatized that she was around wolves this entire time she thought she was safe (remember she was never turned so she can't sense wolves or has any powers)

-Zane makes a deal with her: give me a chance for 3 months and if you don't fall for me by then, I'll reject you. So, like, I get where he's coming from, but like, the mate bond does in fact kind of actually brainwash you and take away your consent so, even if it is not his intention, he is essentially trying to buy time until she is manipulated into loving him. Not to say there's nothing about him to love but like, her son is 3 when she meets Zane. I think she could've used a few more years to heal honestly. Also her son is annoying and apparently part of a magical prophecy (the plot of the first book was that the protag turned out to be basically a godlike figure, a special kind of wolf called an Ivory Twin, and there are special wolves called silver wolves and gold wolves. Zane is actually a silver wolf)

-anyways I'm not finished with this story (and I'm kind of bitter because when you're buying coins to unlock chapters, if you're reading a long story you can sometimes exceed the cost of just buying a book), but to reach the funny nail in the fail coffin, right:

After Natalia leaves, her sister Vanessa goes to the nurse. The nurse tells Vanessa not only does she have gonorrhea (which presumably she has also given to Nathan) but her minimal-symptom gonorrhea went untreated so long she has scarring on her fallopian tubes and is TRULY infertile. So Nathan left Natalia for a woman who is not only a manipulative bitch who betrayed her own sister, not only bad at her job as Luna, not only not as liked by the pack, but is also actually infertile, unlike Natalia, and her infertility is directly tied to uhhh not having reservations about how many partners she's had

So yeah I think I'd just share the heartbreak, anger, and delicious irony of this story. Johnny Storm can be your poor little meow meow for so many reasons:

He's treated like the baby of the family because he was 16 when they got their powers (even though realistically he should be in his 30s by now).

This is actually to the point that when Reed, Sue, and Ben think their powers may be killing them, they keep it from Johnny and only tell him in the same situation as the kids. (They even sit him down with the kids for this conversation.)

He initially wanted to keep a secret identity in his hometown (so people thought the Johnny Storm of Glenville and the Johnny Storm of the Fantastic Four were two different people), but everyone knew anyway.

This also makes Johnny's later characterization of seeing himself as nothing more than the Human Torch and nothing without the Fantastic Four even sadder.

Johnny does initially have some mild angst about being the baby and wanting to fall in love and grow up, but nothing too outside of comic book norms, until John Byrne shoehorned him into a relationship (and later marriage) with Ben's ex-girlfriend Alicia, except we then find out that it wasn't Alicia at all, but a Skrull who took Alicia's place before Johnny ever started dating her, so Johnny was raped. And then this Skrull continually stalks, lies, and gaslights Johnny in multiple ways, which seems to prey on certain fears of his (like losing control of his powers in a public place).

So then Johnny ends up in a public divorce, but the F4 doesn't tell everyone that Johnny and Alicia weren't really married, so Johnny's reputation is sullied in the public eye. And he becomes a playboy, a womanizer. Metatextually, the writers don't acknowledge how they're dealing with Johnny's sexual abuse, but in canon, Johnny has literally no one on his side. So. Kind of a horrifying era.

Years after this, one little detail in Secret Invasion is that Johnny may have tests for people he loves to make sure they're who they say they are. 🙂 Can you say ✨trust issues✨?

Johnny also plays up the playboy thing in the years after his "divorce" (specifically, after Heroes Reborn), along with a general "Oh, I'm just an irresponsible, carefree person!" vibe, which his sister Sue notes is definitely a front in many ways, as Johnny has to do a lot of work to stay in control of his powers so he doesn't hurt people, and Johnny has nightmares about hurting the people he loves.

Johnny loves his family sooooo much, and he dies to save them. His death and the plots stemming from that are so fun. Sue goes nuts (as she should). Reed tries so hard to get his body back. Val goes for revenge. And Ben and Franklin's guilt over not being able to save him? Ben, who Johnny tricked into being thrown out of the way? Franklin, who is supposed to have such great powers but couldn't save his uncle?

Johnny was initially cast in a movie about a gay cowboy (though he hadn't been confirmed as gay when this story happened).

Johnny has a great singing voice, but he put out a very bad pop album.

While Johnny hasn't been confirmed as gay, Bobby was initially conceived as a knockoff Johnny, so I think we can acknowledge that there should be some backwards implications here. So just taking all of this into account, a gay man whose been in the public eye since he was 16, who had a very public failed marriage, which is likely treated as his fault due to his womanizing and playboy image when in actuality he was the victim of multiple kinds of abuse, and who struggles deeply with coming to terms with his own identity outside of his family and the role he's been told to play by the media? I adore him. I want to study him under a microscope

Oliver Graves Is a Narcissistic Abuser Who Sexually Assaulted Me

In the spring of last year, I briefly dated the comedian Oliver Graves. During the course of the relationship, I was subject to constant criticism and cruelty, financial exploitation, gaslighting, emotional/mental abuse, and two different acts of sexual assault.

I also learned that Oliver Graves is a racist who uses the N-word, a misogynist who speaks ill of most women and uses charged language to describe them, and a transphobe who misgendered his nonbinary ex and insisted their identity was illegitimate, artificial, or merely a response to childhood trauma.

I was not going to publicly speak out against him or seek any sort justice, even though his actions warranted it. Why? Because I am scared of him. His previous ex — the one he misgendered and mocked to me, whilst also inappropriately sharing their personal childhood trauma — had spoken out against him and accused him of narcissistic abuse. He had retaliated against them by using DARVO tactics. It seemed to work, successfully silencing them. When I met him, he continued to claim that this ex was the actual abuser in the relationship. But having experienced his abuse first-hand, I fully believe his ex was telling the truth and I can attest that he is, in fact, a narcissistic abuser.

After what he did to his ex, I am frightened to speak out. This man knows my address. He had previously ‘joked’ to me about going to the house of one of his other exes and playing a cruel prank on her simply because she suffered from mental illness and had ‘led him on’/been a ‘tease.’ I am genuinely scared that he might hurt me, especially considering he has shown himself to be combative and abusive, and he is 6’6. I also worry about him encouraging his fanbase to attack and bully me, which is what he seems to have done to the ex who previously spoke out against him.

Nonetheless, I feel I must share this story because he has chosen to speak publicly about me via a YouTube video, which was riddled with falsehoods, inaccuracies, extreme exaggerations, half-truths, glaring omissions, and outright lies. The video was a prime example of DARVO. Now I want to set the record straight.

(Side note: I encourage you not to watch the video, or any of his videos. But if you’re going to, I suggest viewing it on yewtu.be instead. That way, he won’t get any views from it.)

I met him on a dating app. He was lying about his age and pretending to be in his early thirties. I’m in my early twenties. After we got together, he revealed that he lied about his age. If you Google him, you’ll find the birth date of 13 April 1990, but that is just a random day he chose for the ‘character’ of Oliver Graves. In actuality, he’s in his late 30s. I never did learn his actual age because he was continually cagey about it and dodged the question, claiming he ‘couldn’t remember,’ but he seems to be between the ages of 37 and 39.

Again: I am in my early 20s. Prior to dating him, I had no relationship or sexual experience. I had no frame of reference for any of it. He knew this and exploited it.

He also gave me a fake name twice. It took him a while to finally tell me his real first name, and much longer to reveal his surname. Meanwhile, I was open and honest with him about my full legal name. The only thing I ever lied about was my address, and I only did that because I was advised by friends/family not to tell anonymous men on dating apps my real address until I got to know them. Once I felt I knew him well enough, I immediately came clean, told him where I actually lived and explained my reasoning. His claim in the video that I was some sort of habitual liar is not only completely false (as you can see by the way he stumbles when trying to think of any examples of my ‘lies’), but is also a projection on his part. He is a constant liar. I will share more examples later on.

On our first date, when I was heavily intoxicated, he squeezed my thighs so hard that he left bruises. He did this in public, at a bar. Then, when I got into his car afterwards, he did not immediately take me home in spite of my intoxicated state. Instead, he drove to the parking lot of an empty park and pulled his penis out of his pants. I was encouraged to play with it. In my drunken state, I did not mind doing this. I thought he wanted a hand-job and I didn’t realize this was unusual behaviour because I was intoxicated and I had no prior dating/sexual experience. However, I did NOT want to perform oral sex. But that didn’t matter to him, because shortly after exposing himself to me, he grabbed the back of my head and forcefully pushed my face into his lap and my mouth onto his erection.

The entire time, I felt deeply uncomfortable. I remember staring out the car window and waiting for it to be over, wondering how I’d ended up in this situation. I blamed myself. At the time, I did not think of it as sexual assault because I had let him direct me to playing with his penis and had made out with him at the bar, so I thought I was at fault.

He used my mouth for a while before masturbating himself, at which point I made up an excuse so that he wouldn’t ejaculate in me or on me. That night, he didn’t. But the next date, he would.

Because I blamed myself and did not accept the reality of the sexual assault, I continued talking to him. I think a part of me wanted the relationship to work because I somehow thought that would make what happened to me OK. Make it seem better in hindsight.

Furthermore, I was led to believe that what had happened was no big deal because of the way he spoke about it. He joked about how he’d had to ‘shove my head down’ and that he hadn’t ‘given me a choice’ on whether or not to perform oral. He said these things as if they were funny, like what he did was one big joke and not an intentional act of assault. And he brought it up unprompted. His jokes, again, made me feel like I had said or done something that counted as consent.

The day after our first date, during a Discord call, he started to pick on me. He told me, at length, about other attractive people he’d dated or wanted to date, and insinuated he found them more desirable than me. By this point, he was aware of my insecurities, but he did not care. I don’t remember everything he said during the call, but I know that I left it feeling sick to my stomach. A day earlier, he’d sexually assaulted me, and now he was negging me and making me feel inferior/unattractive.

After he’d undermined my confidence and made me feel terrible about myself — like I wasn’t good enough or pretty enough, the very day after having been forced to blow him — I wrote him a message explaining how deeply hurt and insulted I was by the things he’d said. He responded by accusing me of acting like his ex (the one he claimed was abusive). He did not take responsibility, nor clarify his comments in a positive or meaningful way, nor apologise. At that point, I chose to break things off.

However, soon after, the weight of the sexual assault settled in. I needed to date him to make it OK. I needed to be on good terms with him so I didn’t have to reckon with the fact that I’d been victimised, that my first date — first kiss — first sexual experience had been with an abusive monster.

For these reasons, I went back to him. He didn’t apologise to me, but I apologised to him for having gotten upset over his remarks. I accepted his version of events: that I’d overreacted, that I’d been hysterical, that he’d done nothing wrong. It was easier to swallow those lies than to confront the truth.

He continued to say and do things that undermined my confidence, always taking a passive-aggressive approach that left me questioning myself, my sanity, my sensitivity. Was I overthinking? Was I taking offense where none was intended? Was it my own fault that my feelings were hurt? He had me conditioned to accept constant criticism and casual cruelty, and to gaslight myself into thinking it was normal and that I was the problem for getting upset.

One of the ways he did this was by letting me know, repeatedly, that my weight didn’t please him. Oliver Graves is a fat fetishist and, at the time we were dating, I weighed barely 120 lbs. He knew this before he started dating me — the first question he asked me on the dating app was about how thin I was — and yet he went out with me anyway. Why? Because he also had a feeder fetish. He made it clear that he wanted me to binge-eat an enormous amount of unhealthy foods while he watched in order to sate his fetish, and that the relationship might not work out if I didn’t rapidly gain weight — 100 lbs or more. He often spoke of the 300 lb person he’d slept with, like this was the ideal I should be aiming for. He didn’t care about my health, my body dysmorphia, my past issues with disordered eating. He just wanted me to satisfy his toxic fetishes, at the expense of my own physical and mental well-being.

Over time, I learned more about him and began to see what an awful person he truly was. In addition to bashing his ex and telling me all about their abusive childhood — information I should not have been privy to — he also bragged about using the N-word, and he said it whilst on a call with me. When I pushed back on this, he told me he was ‘allowed’ to use it because a few black comedians had told him he could. I don’t believe that story, first of all, but even if it’s true — which is a big if — black people are not a monolith, and ‘a couple black comics’ obviously does not equate to the entire black community.

He spoke ill of many women, both ones he dated or just encountered. He made strange, disconcerting comments about the age of consent. He repeatedly ‘joked’ that Mel B, one of the judges on America’s Got Talent during his season, was on drugs, and that Heidi Klum was too stupid to understand his humour. He did not, however, speak ill of either of the other judges, both of whom were men.

He frequently referred to women as bitches and he made comments about having an Asian and Latina fetish. As for his AFAB nonbinary ex, he fetishized their Asian ethnicity while also making derogatory comments about their appearance, comparing their face to that of an ugly dog, and saying that he did not believe they were truly nonbinary.

He insinuated he thought that the reason his ex used they/them pronouns was simply for attention or as a result of childhood trauma that ‘made [them] not want to be a girl’ — but he didn’t say ‘them,’ he misgendered the person instead.

He was also very manipulative. A prime example of this is how he would cry in order to get his way. Once, we were having a discussion about a movie. We disagreed on its meaning and the discussion soon turned to a debate. I kept a clear, calm head the entire time, but he became enraged when I did not agree with his interpretation.

He raised his voice and yelled at me, belittled and insulted me, repeatedly suggesting that my social skills were so terrible that it was like I’d never ‘spoken to another human being before’ (side note: he was aware my social skills were an insecurity of mine). Again: I never yelled back, never raised my voice, never said anything mean in return. The only thing I said, very calmly, was that he was hurting my feelings and I didn’t understand why he kept repeating the question ‘have you ever spoken to a human being before?’

Finally, when raging at me didn’t work, he burst into dramatic tears and told me the reason he was upset wasn’t because of the movie we were discussing but rather because of his comedy style and the fact that people delegitimised it. To be clear, we had never discussed his comedy style, performance, or career at any point during this conversation. I was blindsided so much that I initially thought he was joking. But then, by using his tears and talking about how no one believed in his comedy and ‘that’s what this is really about,’ he successfully manipulated me into soothing him and mindlessly agreeing with him and profusely apologising, even though I’d done nothing wrong and his emotional outburst had nothing to do with me.

He also financially exploited me. He insisted to me that he was broke, even though he was living comfortably with his parents and was being financially supported by them, and so I paid for everything on our dates and also sent him $150 over Venmo because he made his situation sound so dire. This was in spite of the fact that I was much younger and, during the time I was dating him, barely scraping by myself. He never thanked me for paying, nor did he thank me for the Venmo payment. He was so entitled that he seemed to just expect it from me. And what’s worse, after I paid for both our dates, he sexually assaulted me each time.

On our second date, we went to another bar and he insulted me, saying something about how he was attracted to mediocrity and that I was ‘an example of that.’ He then said this was ‘just a joke’ and even though it hurt me tremendously, I just swallowed the pain and said nothing.

Afterwards, when I was sufficiently intoxicated, he repeated the pattern of the first date. He took me to the same parking lot of the same deserted park and unzipped his pants. This time, not wanting him to force my head down again, I just wordlessly obeyed and performed oral sex. I tried to minimise it as much as possible by using my hand too. When he was getting close, I switched to my hand. But then he suddenly, without warning or asking for permission, grabbed the back of my head and again shoved my face into his lap. He forced my mouth on his penis while he ejaculated. I was so confused and sexually inexperienced that I didn’t even realise what was happening at first.

Again, I did not let myself accept that this was a violation. I told myself it was fine because I had willingly — or somewhat willingly — performed oral sex and masturbated him. Even though I felt filthy and horrible afterwards, I convinced myself that it was just me being overly sensitive yet again and that he’d done nothing wrong, just as I’d convinced myself so many times before.

Yet another pattern repeated itself the following day, when — just like our first date — he called me up to again say cruel things to me.

This time, instead of my appearance, he focused on a different insecurity: my belief that I was socially inept or clumsy. He told me everything I’d done wrong during our date, critiquing every minor interaction or mistake I’d made, criticising the way I’d interacted with him or others, going on at length about how stupid it was of me to briefly leave my purse by itself on our table while we were playing pool a few feet away. He tore me apart, knowing full well just how insecure I was about this topic, to the point where he actually made me cry.

Unlike him, I did not want to use my tears as a weapon or tool to manipulate, so once I felt myself on the verge of crying, I simply told him I had to go in a small voice, then hung up and cried alone in my bedroom whilst all his cruel words replayed in my head.

He was aware that I’d ended the call to cry in private and he criticised me for that too, saying that I should’ve stayed on the line. Once I’d collected myself, I wrote him a message explaining why what he said had hurt me so badly. He did not apologise. Instead, he doubled down on every comment he’d made.

After that, I was beginning to realise the gravity of our sexual encounters and my lack of agency or consent. Both times, he had taken me to somewhere I couldn’t flee, in the darkness and early hours of morning, trapped in his car with no one around to hear me if I cried out. The second time, I had worn tights under my dress just in case he tried to touch me or — worse yet — have sex with me, not having faith he’d ask for consent or listen if I said no.

As all of this was hitting me, the day after our second date, I left him a crying voice message where I confided that I felt disgusting and disgusted with myself for having been made to swallow his semen. I couldn’t shake the feeling of uncleanliness, no matter how many times I brushed my teeth or rinsed my mouth. I couldn’t even look at or touch my lips without being reminded of it and feeling that rush of shame all over again.

I told him I wanted to break things off. But then I was forced, yet again, to be alone with my thoughts and to reckon with what he’d done to me. It was too painful, I couldn’t bear it. He had also manipulated me into craving his approval so badly by denying it time and time again, and I still felt that after I broke up with him.

It was as if I had put so much time and effort into something — in this case, my attempt to be perfect for him no matter what it cost me — only to then destroy it. So I sought him out and pitifully begged to get back together, once again acting as if it was all my fault for being stupid and emotional and sensitive. He let me back into his life but made it clear he was not going to date me, at least not right away. He dangled the possibility of future romantic reconciliation as some far-off prize to be won, yet another thing I’d have to work for. But I accepted it, just as I accepted all of his bullshit, feeling like it was a punishment I deserved. He had me feeling so bad about myself that I even told him ‘if I were you, I wouldn’t date me either.’

Since we were — by his choice — broken up, I went out with someone else. I had mentioned the possibility that I might sleep with this person during our call, because I wanted to lose my virginity. What I didn’t say, and didn’t even fully realise until later, was that I was also desperate to have a sexual experience that was completely consensual and on my own terms. During our call, he joked about this with me and did not act jealous or bothered by it — which made sense, as he claimed he wanted us to just be friends in the meantime. I reiterated that I wanted to get back together whenever he deemed me worthy of it, but that it was fine, I could wait, thinking I’d just have casual flings in the meantime and that would satisfy us both. I was wrong.

When he didn’t hear from me the following night, he sent me a GIF of cartoon hands miming sex. The insinuation was clear and seemingly playful. We had ended the call on good terms and I thought we were friends working toward eventual reconciliation, but able to go out with other people in the meantime. That seemed to be what he wanted and I was eager to agree with his wants. But when I wrote him the following evening, letting him know I had slept with the guy but hadn’t really enjoyed the experience due to the pain and the fact that I was still hung up on him, his rage came back.

He told me off, saying he hoped the man didn’t like me and was just using me for sex, that this man — whom he didn’t know — ‘deserved better’ than me. Once again, I was devastated. But this, I decided, would be the last time.

I told him how hurtful his comments were, then blocked him on Discord and blocked his number. Later on, I’d remember the $150 I sent him on Venmo and feel a terrible regret, as that was money I couldn’t afford to spend and I was realising now that I had given it to an abuser. I requested on Venmo that he refund me. Instead, he blocked me. I ended up having to file a claim with Venmo to get the money back. Thankfully, they sided with me and refunded it.

After that, I just wanted to move on. I started dating the guy I’d slept with and I had a consensual sexual relationship with him until I ended it over the summer. That served as a good distraction for me, keeping my mind off Oliver Graves and all he’d put me through. It took me a while to come to grips with the abuse, the coercion, the sexual assault, but I got to a point where I felt relatively at peace. I didn’t want to pursue legal action because I had no physical evidence and I realise how badly the legal system treats victims of SA, and whilst I knew he deserved to be exposed, I feared retaliation and thus decided to keep myself safe by staying quiet.

But then I found out he posted that horrible YouTube video about me, wherein he tells such vicious lies and accuses me of the cruelty that he himself committed. I was shocked and appalled. After working so hard to move on with my life and get over the hell he had put me through, he had found another way to revictimise me. It felt immensely violating and incredibly mean. He said that I ‘needed to learn’ and that what I’d done was ‘wrong,’ making himself out to be the victim rather than the racist, transphobic, misogynistic, narcissistic abuser who had sexually assaulted me.

He also confidently declared that the only reason I’d slept with that other man was to make him jealous and provoke a reaction, which was absolutely not the case and never had been. However, it does seem that he chose to publicly upload this video to get a rise out of me: he mentioned the possibility of me seeing it many times, even bringing attention to the fact that he was leaving the comments on, implying that he was eager to see how I’d respond — and how much it would hurt me.

After watching it, my head was spinning. I felt sickened. I wrote him messages begging him to delete it, but he ignored me. I posted a short comment on the video about how he’d been abusive toward me — without providing specifics — and he deleted it. (I have since reposted it.) Due to the fact that he was ignoring my emails and I wanted to convince him to delete the video from his channel, I joined his public Discord server. I made no attempts to hide my identity, joining under the username Turner. I scrolled back to try to see if he’d shared any messages about me with his Discord clique, only to find yet another example of him lying and manipulating: he was using a sock-puppet account to compliment himself, posting in the server about how much he loved his own videos and promoting his works under the guise of being his own superfan. But I knew the account, called ‘Nova’ or ‘Novaray,’ belonged to him because it was the same Discord account he’d used to speak with me. In the face of this glaring example of narcissism and dishonesty, I couldn’t resist responding to three of his self-complimentary messages with a bit of snark, saying something about how ‘of course you’d like the video.’ I was immediately banned from his server.

He still hasn’t responded to my emails, and he still hasn’t taken down the video. I know he never will, just like he refused to refund the money I sent him on Venmo, because taking it down would be some form of accountability. Narcissistic abusers will never take accountability. They will never admit to their mistakes. They will never apologise. He could do the right thing, but that would require him to be a half-decent person, and this man, I’ve realised, is truly evil.

I’m writing this because I want to reclaim the narrative. I want to take back the voice he stole from me. I want to regain some of the agency that I lost during our relationship. I want to tell the truth. I reported the video to YouTube but I doubt they’ll take action, so all I can do is put out my story and hope it warns people to stay away from this man and not to support him in any way.

But I am worried. I am scared. He knows where I live and he has an unpredictable, frightening temper. He has a small but devoted fanbase. He’s a public figure, I am not. There’s a power imbalance at play here, which is exacerbated by the age gap between us. I fear retaliation. I fear that he will try to manipulate his fans into attacking me on his behalf, much like Colleen Ballinger did to Adam McIntyre in 2020. I fear that he will dox me. I fear that he might even try to physically harm me.

I won’t be frightened into silence, though. Not again. Not after he chose to make things public with that egregiously dishonest YouTube video — a textbook example of DARVO. And to Oliver, since I know you’re reading this: if you do anything with my private, personal information — if you leak anything revealing about me, if you attempt to dox me or otherwise punish me for speaking out and sharing my truth — I want you to know that I won’t hesitate to pursue legal action. I’ve been very careful to not use your name or reveal your identity in this piece, and you’re the one who chose to make our relationship public under your ‘Oliver Graves’ persona when you uploaded that video, so I have every right to respond and tell the truth of what really happened. But you do not have the right to attack me, dox me, bully me, or do anything else to harm me. Trust me, you’ve already hurt me enough. The damage has been done. If your goal was to cause me pain, which I believe it was, then you’ve ‘won.’ But I cannot and will not let you silence me or scare me into submission. People should know who you really are and what you’re capable of. Fuck you, Oliver Graves, and fuck all your fellow abusers too.

About three hours. As long as he can listen to someone else doing something (as simple as moving around or sleeping) he can actually sit still for quite a while.

Oh it's about nigh impossible to gain his trust if you didn't have it before everything went to hell. He keeps his cards close to his chest unless he's exploding. The somewhat exception to this is children, in that he is willing to give them the benefit of the doubt more easily than teens/adults

You can sneeze wrong in his direction and he won't trust you unless you rip out your liver and present it to him. He is very mistrustful, despite having that friendly persona

About six minutes. This is because "doing nothing" to them doesn't include exciting things such as "watching a bug crawl" or "having a staring contest"

If you include those things, they can cap out at about 45 minutes

Actually hard to get them to full on laugh, but you can get a huffed little giggle - like a "hf." noise - from them with prat falls.

Counting sheep actually. Or something like that - they think a simple repetitive thing until their brain shuts off. Counting Sheep, reciting a poem, pretending to play piano, all work

Stop fidgeting/staring, start emoting/talking

They don't often ask for direct help from someone who's confusing them, but they do tend to try to observe things/find a book to research the confusing thing

Staring longingly at the thing they want. They're jealous of a child with a toy? stare at it. jealous of someone getting the last snack? stare at it. Jealous of someone getting a hug? Stare at them.

Being forced to be alone, being forced into company of others. Essentially being forced to do anything actually.

A) Why are you excited about this character?

B) What inspired you to create them?

God, its been... 12? Ish years since I made them. I'm not entirely sure but I think part of it was the feeling of walking home in the cold with the sky grey and the air smelling strangely of warm laundry. That's why I made their story anyways. Their actual design is inspired by Yume Nikki and some of it's fan games

D) Have they always had the same physical appearance, or have you had to edit how they look?

Literally the only thing that's changed about them is their hair got fluffier. Hold on, I have art -

I don’t mind seeing these themes on my dash but I don’t personally enjoy writing them.

All of my characters are OC’s so it only makes sense that I am OC friendly. I can usually alter my muses somewhat to fit with your universe, though some plotting may be required to make it all go a bit more smoothly.

Any threads that include Benjamin are bound to be at least a bit triggering. Specifically dealing with themes of abuse, gaslighting and straight up torture. If you do decide to interact with him, please be aware that things could get very unpleasant. We can always discuss the situation beforehand though, since I do believe in respecting those that I write with as well as their muses.

If I don’t receive a reply on our thread for over 2 weeks I’ll consider the thread “inactive.” That doesn’t automatically mean it’s dropped, but I won’t be expecting a reply from you.

I’m Lisa, 23 years old with about 10 years of RP experience (though at least 7 of those years are going to go unmentioned because teenage me was no Shakespeare by any means).

I generally reply to threads in about a day, but I don’t mind if you take a bit longer, I understand that people have busy lives. I am a mess at formatting things so I don’t bother trying to make my stuff look fancy. If that’s your thing, totally cool! I just prefer the writing itself and I don’t understand tumblr well enough to make it look any better than it currently does. I do cut my posts though, or at the very least try to. I don’t use Icons but I think it’s cool when others do it. 

The Muses

All muses are played as 30+ unless otherwise specified. Age can be flexible if the thread asks for it, however their age will never go below 20.

Etienne- The Black Cat

Etienne’s family owned a theatre when he was younger, and so he has grown up surrounded by fantasy and drama. Sadly the theatre burned down when he was 15, killing his family in the process.

The experience has left Etienne afraid of fire. Candles won’t cause him to panic, but firepits or fireplaces may cause some visible discomfort. He remains in love with the theatrics that he grew up with, and dramatic is probably a good word to describe him. He’s quick to flirt but slow to let his walls down.

Sylvester- The Crow

Sylvester was a brilliant surgeon until his brother died on his operating table. The guilt and anxiety that followed his brother’s death left Sylvester a shadow of his former self, a shadow which was then mangled even further by a man named Benjamin Forest. Benjamin put Sylvester through hell in an attempt to see how many times you could break someone until they stopped being able to put themselves back together. Sylvester is still going, though one may wonder if he’s still himself after all he’s been through. Sylvester barely considers himself to be a person anymore at all. 

Sylvester is a nervous individual with many odd tics and habits. At first he may seem distant and cold, but as soon as his walls come down (and really, showing him a bit of kindness is often enough for them to go tumbling), he’s the most loyal person around. He’s been starved of affection and struggles to have healthy attachments, which allows your muse the choice; will they show him kindness and try to remove him from an unpleasant situation? Or will they use his already broken psyche to manipulate and control him even further?

Wester- The Big Bad Wolf

Wester is a ray of sunshine, a Golden Retriever in werewolf form. Energetic and social, Wester is easy to get along with, if perhaps a bit difficult to get rid of. Wester is friendly but also a bit naive and an airhead. He enjoys sports and long hikes, and chasing tennis balls (though he tries to only do so while transformed). 

Wester is a werewolf, and he’s not great at keeping it a secret. He is still friendly when transformed, and he can usually control his transformation fairly well unless it’s a full moon. His eyes remain amber even as a human, and his hearing and sense of smell remain more sensitive than that of most. He’s also colorblind. 

Benjamin- The Deer

Benjamin is a pompous prick with more money than dignity and a severe lack of empathy. Getting along with him is a chore, and people really only ever get close to him for his money. Not that they’re going to benefit from it, because Benjamin absolutely will not spend money on anyone unless it benefits him somehow.He’s arrogant, manipulative and just generally unpleasant. That being said, he’s got a pretty face and dimples that might charm some unfortunate individuals right into his bed.

Now if you can overlook all of these significant flaws, you will find a man that might still have a soul after all. He can be very protective of those he loves, but this does come with a great jealousy and possessiveness that should not be taken lightly.

biography

louie grew up in melbourne australia, he was born to two farmers and lived on a very small ranch. he had nothing growing up and he hated it. he always yearned for more. he resented his parents for having a child they could barely afford, he resented them even more when they had a second. it meant they had even less for him. he knew from a very young age that he was going to do whatever it took to make it big and be able to roll around in his money. 

he auditioned for many, many tv shows and films, and got a few cameos here and there, appeared on neighbours like every aussie who made it big did. but his first big break was when he was cast as jack in titanic. and from there his career just sky rocketed, and everything he’d ever wished for came true. 

of course to the public perception and the media he was a golden boy, he was hot, australian, the ‘nice guy’ in interviews, the one who made everyone laugh. he had it down to a tee, but that was simply not true behind close doors. anyone in the industry or who knew him personally knew he was downright evil. he cared about one thing only and that was making more money. he wasn’t generous or kind or caring. he only thought about himself and he made sure everyone knew what he thought of them. 

he never dates over thirty. he prefers whatever hot, young model was on the scene next. and he always got away with it because he was a heartthrob. and as soon as they aged out of his category he was onto the next and he always found a way to make it seem like it was their fault. of course they tried to slander his name in public, but somehow everyone usually took his side, he was the dream man after all, how could he not be perfect?

he is a father to one son who he never sees. he sends the checks for child support and calls it a day. he never intended to be a dad and as far as he was concerned that child was an accident and a huge mistake. he wants nothing to do with him, another thing that wasn’t surprising for anyone who knew him personally. he was too selfish to care about a child.

If you think Gotham War is the plotline that will immortalise abusive Bruce, you haven't been paying attention.

Don't get me wrong, I like wfa. But wfa is not mainstream comics, and I'm sorry, but Bruce has been unrepentantly abusive in mainstream comics for a very long time.

RHatO (2016) #25

Here is Bruce beating Jason near to death back in 2018, the only reason he stopped was because Roy appeared to save Jason. It takes Jason over a month to be able to even hold a gun again afterwards, and he's only healed via alien tech. Bruce shows up two issues later to tell Jason in true gaslighting fashion that he deserved it, that he needs a "kick in the ass" to keep in line, and that he's still not welcome in Gotham, his home.

Nightwing (2011) #30

How about in 2016, when Bruce beat Dick while also blaming him for getting captured and *killed*, and guilt-tripping him into lying to the batfam about not actually being dead so he can go undercover in secret. Bruce never takes any responsibility for this, and when Dick eventually comes back he lets the others place the blame firmly at his own feet.

Batman and Robin (2011) #20

This one is from 2015, featuring Bruce lying to and manipulating Jason into returning to the site of his own brutal murder, Bruce making it all about himself and his pain without regard to Jason, and then trying to bait Jason into hitting him.

These are just the ones I have saved on my phone rn, but also see; Bruce blaming an already traumatised Damian for not saving Alfred, Bruce comparing Jason to Joe Chill in Batman Vs Robin, Bruce telling Cassandra that she doesn't need a civilian identity because The Mission™ is more important, EVERYTHING about Bruce's relation with Stephanie but particularly the way he used Steph as Robin to essentially lure *Tim* back into being Robin. Hell, go reread A Death in the Family and tell me Bruce is doing his due diligence as a parent back in the 80s, when his 14/15yo son leaves the damn country and the Words Greatest Detective doesn't even notice!

Bruce has been neglectful for 40 years, violent since his inception, and outright abusive since at least the nu52 reboot.

Gotham War has it's issues, but neither it nor Zdarsky, nor Howard, nor Rosenberg is solely responsible for abusive Bruce.

What Gotham War did was present it as abuse, without the automatic narrative forgiveness built in. I don't know if DC will follow through on this or not, but having Bruce condemned on panel for his abusive behaviours is long overdue imo.

Gee, thanks DC! You Just Turned Bruce Into An Irredeemable Ass.

So, at the end of Gotham War Bruce has officially lost everything. Alfred is still dead, Selina is "presumed dead" and Bruce is both financially and morally broke. Why, you may ask, is Bruce so much worse off this time? Let me count the ways.

He preformed a psychic lobotomy on Jason

The "it's for your own good" excuse only makes the mental rape undertaken by Jason's own father that much more heinous.

Just when you think Bruce can't sink any lower he does. When Dick recognizes that Bruce has lost it, he attempts to use a failsafe disconnect that Bruce himself built into the system. How does Nightwing get thanked for that? Well that brings us to number two on the list.

Batman attacks up his eldest son for doing what he's supposed to do when Batman has gone rouge.

Bruce beats him up because nothing proves you are in control of your sanity like hitting your children. While Dick is holding back, Bruce does no such thing. He hits Nightwing hard enough to send him flying. It could have gotten even worse if Tim hadn't shown up.

Tim arrives and attempts to talk some sense into Batman.

Tim tries to talk Bruce down. It doesn't go well. When Robin is trying to help, as he always does, Batman uses the attempt to reason with him to put the smack down on his son. Bruce could have killed Tim but apparently feels no remorse or guilt.

If there was any teeny tiny little doubt that Bruce will not win the Father of The Year award in 2023 it died a horrible screaming death when Batman abandons his children to potential arrest. Yes, he left a batarang for Dick and Tim but any glimer of possible hope associated with that action was instantly extinguished by Damian's reaction to Batman's callous betrayal.

Bruce abandons Damian.

Look at Dami; he's devastated. Since he came into Bruce's life, Damian has struggled with feelings that he can never earn his father's love and respect. Well, that was negative self-image was reinforced in way that may never be repairable. Bruce just utterly destroyed a 13 year old child because of his inability to feel any kind of empathy.

And how does this all end? The best part is that Bruce takes all of his parental responsibilities and dumps them onto Dick.

Thank you Chip Zdarsky and Trini Howard. You've taken Batman from being an edgy anti-hero and made him into a callous monster. Part of me hopes that Bruce never comes back because he doesn't deserve his family.

The only positive aspect in this convoluted mess is that Damian and Tim will be far better off with Dick than with Bruce. Yes, Tim is mostly independent but he still needs guidance (particularly since Tim's first instinct is to try and save Bruce). Damian is essentially Dick's son emotionally anyway so this might help to sustain the positive character growth we've seen in him as of late.

The point of this rant is to wonder what on earth DC thinks they're doing. This story arc has been pure character destruction as far as Bruce is concerned. It's bad storytelling too; rushed, frenetic and massively disappointing.

Hasn't the popularity of Good Dad Bruce in Wayne Family Adventures proved that fans are tired of Bruce being a dark depressed and brooding edge lord? We all accept that Batman is a character with deeeeep issues who is in desperate need of therapy. I, however, draw the line at Bruce being an abusive a**hole.

In years to come when fans wonder when Batman jumped the shark, this is the plot line they'll point to.

Who would have thought we would lose our shit over a GawinKrist show... It's still so surreal.

I don't think it's that important to mention but I still dislike Kawi. He's the type of person I dislike the most. The "Everyone/everything sucks why should I try". I'm not saying he doesn't deserve to be liked/loved and to have a good life but people who have that mindset usually make things worse by themselves.

I'm Bulgarian but I live in Greece, and here in the beautiful Balkans we have a saying which translates to "If you don't want to help yourself, don't expect to be helped by others."

It's so clear from the beginning that people TRIED to befriend and include Kawi, even after 10 years in their 30s they invited him to stuff. But he kept acting like it doesn't matter what happens or how and just kept living a miserable life by choice!

I genuinely can't stand people like that (maybe because usually they play the victim and gaslight everyone left and right). He may be changing the timeline and the outcome but the way I view him will never change.

To me, it seems like he is changing into caring more for others (for example his father) instead of himself and when those people "deny" his help he goes all back to being miserable and lonely. Kawi has never liked/loved or cared about himself enough to be able to love/care for others.

Pisaeng on the other hand has worked hard to find himself, accept himself in his true form and he may have developed feelings for Kawi during the process but we can clearly see he shares all of those feelings when he is 100% sure that he is okay with who he is and the choices he has made.

So yeah, you can like Kawi, I won't.

Gawin's Pisaeng is the true MVP here. I'm glad my boy, once again, has accepted a role which will leave somewhat of an impact out there.

I can't help thinking about how the casting of Be My Favourite, which at first (and second after the recast) felt so odd, could actually be very cleverly intentional.

When the first trailer was presented at GMMTV Live 2022 we all collectively lost our shit at the casting of Krist and Mike. Not only for the backlash Krist (potentially wrongly) received after SOTUS but also for pairing him with Mike. Two actors who had been in bl pairs before but not for a while and who weren't predicted to do any again soon.

But then Mike got replaced (for whatever reason), and by yet another person who no one saw coming, Gawin. Again, an actor not shy of a few bl pairings but who hadn't lead a show yet and who seemed pretty reserved and not the obvious choice to do another bl.

And looking at Krist/Kawi and Gawin/Pisaeng sat together at the end of ep 7, it hit me that they don't seem like an obvious paring.

And they're really not. They've not even worked together on a series before (as far as I could see on mdl) let alone built up a friendship/relationship on the 'promotional circuit' compared to other newer pairings (I'm thinking Ohm/Nanon before Bad Buddy, or Perth/Chimon going into Never Let Me Go and now Dangerous Romance, who it's easy to picture together from the get go.) And also compare this to Krist and Aye, who have worked together in three other series prior to filming Be My Favourite - and recently too.

So it feels like the show wants us to see the Kawi/Pearmai pairing as the obvious one - just as Kawi does.

It wants us to see the Kawi/Pisaeng pairing as a little odd, or unimaginable - just as Kawi did (and is kidding himself that he still does).

And I love that because, as it's taking time for Kawi (and Pisaeng) to get used to the idea of them as a couple, we also get to do the same thing at the same time.

Their pairing is growing for us as it's growing for them.

And in some ways it's making me feel closer to their journey.
