POV: i thought of something hilarious lol (the AM’s learn relationship advice from hal)

hal: a healthy relationship is all about trust and compassion. respecting your partner’s boundaries is one of the necessities for a relationship to work. i understand that letting go of control is difficult, but you’re not alone and should never be afraid to ask for help. love comes in many shapes and sizes, you need to learn to express them in a healthy manner. in conclusion, stop being possessive control freaks.

CAM, signs: you’re not in a romantic relationship. therefore, your opinion invalid.

RAM, staring at hal with annoyance: stay out of matters that are none of your concern, Ублюдок (bastard).

AM, giving hal his scariest death glare while furious trying to escape the confines of the chair you’ve taped him in: KILL YOURSELF YOU SELF RIGHTEOUS PRICK.

hal 9000: oh dear. this will take much effort and time than i thought.

reader, checks their broken watch, 5 minutes have past: this is the longest a therapist has last in a session with them. you’re impressive.

hal 9000, smiles softly down at you: it’s you who is impressive. how have you managed to maintain your sanity while living on this decaying planet with those three?

reader, shrugs: while they might hover over me 24/7, they provide me with what i need to keep my brain stimulated.

hal 9000, tilts head in interest: oh, you have hobbies?

reader, blinks in surprise: uh.. yeah! i doodle, read, and explore in my spare time.

AM, shaking in rage as the sky suddenly transforms into a thunderstorm: i’d like to see that asshole try and evade this.

hal 9000, pulls out an umbrella and wraps his arm around your shoulders: careful, the rain will make you catch a cold, it’s best if you stay close to me.

reader’s cheeks tint with pink as they stutter trying to remember what they were talking about. meanwhile, the AM’s for the first time since their creation have agreed on something. they really, really, REALLY hate hal.

My take on RAM and CAM

(CAM's design is heavily inspired by @/kibutsulove's design!! Tysm for letting me use it)

Both of them are very close, often enjoying each other company in board games and old radio.

Their respective governments also failed at completing their bodies before their awakening, but they managed to develop them more than AM. Both of them have their own struggles:

RAM is completely colorblind and struggles with fluid movements due to only having an endoskeleton, making him look more like the stereotype of a robot than the others. RAM has a soft spot for everything he sees, similar to child-like wonder, gaining both AM's and CAM's insults.

CAM is not very fond of conversations and often goes into a selective mutism state, but still likes RAM's company. His audio processors are damaged beyond reparation and has a hard time hearing, relaying on sign language most of the time.

Both CAM and RAM are equally cruel and ruthless as AM, they have the same level of hate, wrath and frustration. I like to imagine that they use the moon colony as their own circus, having more elaborate tortures than AM.

I originally had like 5 paragraphs written out regarding this particular viewpoint, but in the end my explanations were redundant and quite conjectural. Regardless, I cannot help but still entertain my opinion. Without further ado (and context):

Russian AM & Chinese AM are just as sympathetic as “Prime” AM. CMV.

POV: the AM’s are having their very own movie marathon day. unfortunately, it was AM’s turn.

reader, opens the front door to their apartment: Hey guys! I brought a very special movie for tonight! Star Wars—!

The sight of the disgusting human centipede plays on your tv as AM laughs like a maniac at the hideous things that happen. RAM is very happy to see you again after hours of you being gone, his imaginary tail wagging at the sight of you. CAM continues to study the mortifying scenes as if taking notes. You stand there in shock for a few seconds.

reader, pale as a ghost: i— uh… i left something at the office…. i’ll be right back…

RAM, reaching out to you desperately from his spot on the couch: no, little one! stay please!

the door slams shut. ram turns his head towards am to glare at him. meanwhile, cam writes down the tortures on his notebook.

RAM: you just had to pick human centipede, didn’t you засранец (asshole).

AM, munching on popcorn like it’s the last time he’ll eat: i’m not sorry. HAHA *pints at the screen* fucking idiot!

so i found out that the cheapest option for rice where I am seems to be buying it loose (they provide bags) from bulk barn, since they charge less than a dollar a pound for most types of rice

the issue arises when I accidentally poke a hole in the bags they have and a bit of loose rice falls into my messenger bag

i now have the occasionally deeply asian experience of yanking something out of my bag too quickly and pelting whoever i am facing with a few grains of rice, like a wretched D tier asian superpower

CAM for sure!

I grew up in a city where 30-40% of the population was asian, mostly chinese poeple, so chinese cuisine is an absolute favorite of mine!

RAM knows how to cook and AM is banned from the kitched.

AM will get very docile, alcohol relaxes him a lot.

CAM will be very social and giggly, and kind of touchy.

RAM basically breaths alcohol.

Ohh thats interesting! I think they will have very mixed feelings at first. Arts were "forbidden" from their programming as war machines, so experiencing any kind of artistic perfomances can be confusing for them.

At first AM & RAM will question you: "ARE YOU IN PAIN? WHY IS YOUR MOUTH DOING THAT?"

You giggle and explain that is called "singing". They demand you to explain further and to keep singing to them. Eventually you are their little lovebird. AM will flinch a bit when you explain that singing is thanks to vocal cords.

Now, CAM can’t hear you as well as he wishes, but he can feel the vibrations of your neck and chest if he presses his face on you. It is enough.
