I despise splatoon mechanics

#I fucking hate the ranking system #I was B- and now I get kicked down to ducking C- because of the new season? bullshit #if I had just gotten the game and transferred my splatoon 2 data I would still be B- but also a worse player #I also hate the ranking points #every time I’m doing well in a game someone disconnects #and then I just continually lose for 10 games in a row #ever consider that I just want to enjoy splat zones without constantly worrying about my rank?#I just wanna have fun playing splat zones #but instead I get continually pummeled because these other teams won’t even let me get close enough to get into the zone #without being instantly killed #I just don’t wanna have a breakdown over a game I want to just ducking enjoy #I hate ranking systems that make you go down in rank #this is why splatoon 2 stressed me out and now splatoon 3 is gonna stress me out again too #and the moving down to C- because of a new season is still bullshit #I’m not a worse player just because it’s a new season

stumbled across a blog sharing other ppl’s fanfiction and adding AI-generated photos as “moodboards” and I just want to say - don’t do that shit! AI generated photos are unethical in a plethora of ways, and they don’t even look that good! what you could do instead is search for other people’s work to use as your inspo, and i assure you’ll find so many artists to follow and admire in the process! (of course give credit if you know the artist’s name!)

or better yet - use this opportunity to learn a new skill! you could try drawing yourself! you may not be a natural - hell, i know i’m not, but i enjoy doing it anyway! if drawing isn’t your thing, maybe take up collage or printmaking or needlepoint - there’s literally SO MANY WAYS you can create fanwork (and i’m only talking about visual artwork here! the possibilities are endless) that don’t involve just feeding a few keywords to an algorithm that’s been trained with billions of other people’s work and doesn’t engage with your sense of creativity.

Please, I beg, AI “art” is not a hobby. It’s not creative and I don’t even like to think of it as art. Literally just pick up a pencil or something.

Do you guys think Holt and Storch Sieben ever hatefucked

#I think they have a complicated relationship I’ve been pondering it #bc Holt very much does hate her before the events of the Koliblunt force trauma incident #her initial dislike of Sieben comes from a bad first impression when Sieben was fresh meat on sierpinski (Holt is olddd)#she was petty about it but willing to deal with it to a certain point #but as her higher up sieben pushed her buttons one too many times early on #which is bad you WANT the senior medical EULR on your side in case of emergency!!!#i do think they’ve spent a lot of time together for work related reasons #they become not quite friends not quite enemies?? but a secret weird cold thing full of regret maybe #this partially has to do with how I characterize present day sieben bc yeah she’s a Storch and they are prone to temper tantrums especially #if not trained correctly #but Sieben’s basically one of the highest ranking units at sierpinski if I remember correctly #and you don’t get there without some degree of level headedness + when talking to her she’s not necessarily warm and fuzzy #but she also didn’t seem like a young volatile Storch to me #at least not anymore #I think about sieben a lot but anyways #roundabout way of saying that when Holt did fall ill with the infection it wasn’t ignored by sieben #Holt was visited by her once alone when her vision started fading and they had a moment.#a reconciliation? an attempt on sieben’s part to make things right before the inevitable?? or just wanting to check on her? who knows #I certainly don’t #holt #thanks for listening to the ramble I’m attempting to blorbo post more #and this has been rotating in my head for weeks #figured I’d get it out #blorbo tag

when people who like seasons 1 and 2 better explain why it was better they always lose me when they say "the characters were what mattered the most the supernatural plot was basically not that important it was ALL about the characters" like...that's just what YOU were more interested in not what was happening in the show? like wdym the supernatural plotline wasn't that important in seasons 1 and 2. saying that it was more balanced or more subtle i get but saying that the supernatural plot wasn't THAT important and that it's not what made anyone love the show is a blatant lie

#and like i say: brf slt #and i've seen people say this many times on many occasions i'm not even exaggerating. or making anything up #and i've been saying this for. a year and a half. minus two months. when volume 1 came out someone tweeted 'what the duffers fail to #understand is that no one watches st because they care about the russians or whatever. people watch st to see a ragtag group of kids be #nice to each other! to see a lesbian and a man with nice hair be friends!' and i said i agree with this at like 60% the 60% being ofc that #i hate the russia stuff we know this. but like. as much as i like the relationships between the characters if there's no life-threatening #things going on for more than a few dozen minutes...then i don't really care like that would be another show. my thoughts on fire emblem will never be coherent because on one hand you have the nerd part of my brain who hates fire emblem three houses for every second it spends outside of traditional fire emblem gameplay flavours and on the other hand you have the gay idiot who just rewatched ferdinand & hubert's A+ support for the 5th time this year and also has about 280 hours put into fe3h

#'i dont really like 3h' i say starting yet another fucking playthrough #when 3h peaks it PEAKS ok. its just that im not a fan of p5r for the exact same reason. the Life aspect for ME takes away from the main draw #id like p5r more if it was mostly just dungeoncrawling with turnbased combat (i know this because i have and enjoy smtv)#and id like fe3h more if i could skip through the months with no repercussions. now that im chaining ng+#and yeah thats on me for wanting to make s rank everything byleth a reality. i know. i just get bored during the months #and also just the entire first act of the game because again. ive played through it so many times #theres a reason i appreciate fates having the option to just skip to the part where the path diverges on subsequent playthroughs #im so tired of tutorials...#'wow byleth have you considered standing in the trees' WHEN THIS GAME RELEASED I WAS 15 ISH AND AT THAT POINT I HAD ALREADY BEEN STANDING IN #FIRE EMBLEM TREES FOR AT LEAST 2 YEARS. apparently fromsoft nerfed a bunch of bosses in the new patch.

I really would've preferred they just added an easy and a hard mode or difficulty sliders (enemy health, enemy damage, enemy attack speed, boss stagger windows, etc)

(I'm actually not going to blame this entirely on all the people who complained that the game was too hard or unfair or unbalanced (even though they're idiots) and instead blame some of this on all the idiots who kept going on and on about how fromsoft should never put easy modes in their games because it would ruin their games even though an easy mode literally wouldn't affect them because they'd never use it. this is what the alternative is: now everyone has to play the game on a lower difficulty because you didn't want people to have the option to choose)

#like if you care so much about getting your clout or gamer points or whatever garbage for being able to say you beat x fromsoft game #and don't want ''casuals'' to be able to claim the same or —#wait. why do fromsoft fans hate the idea of easy modes again?#like I know they've got their whole ''fromsoft's artistic intent is for the game to be hard so people asking for an easy mode are asking fs #to go against that'' but that's stupid because (at least for ER and AC6) they have builds that let you beat the bosses without effort #so like. y'know. —#but I don't see why fromsoft fans hate the idea of fs adding easy modes.#surely that's better than the entire game being easier for everyone even the people who like the difficulty #like if you want your clout or proof of gamerness or whatever fromsoft can just add achievements or medals that can't be acquired on easy #and in ac6's case they can just like. lock certain parts or ng++ behind normal mode completion or something #(I would rather everyone be able to experience the story and just miss out on certain parts like redshift variants or whatever but eh)#(anyway before anyone tries to call me a casual or accuse me of wanting an easy mode because I'm bad or whatever #I've completed ng++ and s ranked Balteus and Fires of Raven's and Liberator of Rubicon's final boss and Ibis #without double gats double zimmermans or songbirds or tank track legs)#(I pile bunkered them. which is also easy but shhhhh)

I hate randomly blocking people that follow me for no reason other than “what they draw makes me uncomfortable” because it illustrates a fundamental misunderstanding of MY SCRIMBLO (/lh). I understand it’s simply conjecture, but people who highlight that part of his light novel (a part that was revealed to be a dream and not close to canonicity) bother me a lot.

#in short… I hate the Pol//aris P Po//lanski shit #14 year old D//GR fans will be like ‘I know so much about Byakuya 🥺🥺 I read a brief synopsis of his light novel and completely -#misinterpretated this whole plot point and the majority of his quotes!!’#if you didn’t know: in the light novel he has to cross dress to get into the Legacy Crown Championship #(which decides who is head male - and who gets exhiled)#but if you BOTHERED to read the ending of the dubiously canon novel and his CANON LINES you would know that the plot is actually all in -#-Bl//ue Ink’s head (his step sister who ‘documents’ his legacy as he thinks he is destined to win)#- false memories. I can’t EXACTLY remember why but it was only a dubious recollection of actual events — and in-game and in the novel -#-Byakuya is recognised as #- one of the 15 ‘gold rank’ Tog//ami siblings and therefore never needed to cross-dress to get into the race in the first place #also the book is just hella confusing and awfully gruesome LMAO #but the drawing had his disguise in glasses when Pol//aris wore contacts!! because in the novel Byakuya states he finds glasses unappealing-#-on a woman. though fashionable for himself as a man (thanks ‘Kuya… I have 20/20 vision and I still hate that).#so yeah I was mega uncomfortable for no reason I’m just pedantic and I hate the fandom (for the most part)#I love you guys though LMAO #sorry I sounded like a gatekeeper LOL #I’ve ran into like… 3 more wives of Byakuya and I do actually really like their content and was okay with them but I didn’t interact beyond-#- a cursory glance because I don’t want to risk myself being uncomfortable or anyone else.
