Getting the vibe that Sklonda does not like Fabian, which crushes me in a way. Because here’s Riz’s best friend who he holds at such a high regard and has latched onto. And of course that day when he goes home with his newly gifted briefcase and business cards he shows his mom, who is probably wary of such an impromptu gift. And of course all his mom sees when she meets Fabian is a wealthy elven jock who reminds her a little bit too much of the people she had to deal with in Highschool. And of course when she hears him call her son “The Ball”, shes going to take that derogatorily, because Riz has probably offhandedly mentioned his first day of school a few times. And of course she’s going to say “I prefer Riz, Fabian.” Because thats her SON, and she knows how hard it is for people like her and her family to be respected, and if her son’s so-called ‘best friend’ isn’t going to use her son’s REAL name than he might as well not even regard him at all.

She in many ways is her father's mini-me. She especially loves gridball and actually succeeds in having a small stint going pro! Once her career is over she moves back to Pelican Town and works on the farm :)

She also for some reason also has days where she just... Stares at the microwave like Shane and Marnie. I think it's genetic. ( My pal moonferry gave me an idea for a mini comic about it)

Bruce Wayne ideas because I can!

Bruce’s biggest fear is his children being hurt or dying of something he has no control over. Like no matter how much money he drains from his accounts, he cannot save them. This would be if his kids were diagnosed with a chronic illness that would eventually kill them or how Jason was originally supposed to die in the 80’s (AIDS).

Bruce is desperately touch starved but doesn’t know how to ask for affection, and obviously none of his kids (except for Cass) can read him well enough to know what he wants.

Bruce can only communicate when he’s being drugged by truth serum or fear toxin, it’s during a trip on truth serum that Bruce openly admits to Dick that he has adoption forms already signed in his office but he didn’t want to overstep. (If Bruce let out a few tears when he saw forms signed by Dick on his bedside table, no one would know)

Bruce has gotten Alfred a Father’s Day gift every year since he was 7 but hasn’t started giving them to him until Dick gave him one. Alfred definitely found the room Bruce put all of the unused presents, he may or may not have cried too.

Bruce gets his kids gifts on Father’s Day because “I wouldn’t be celebrating today if it wasn’t for you.”

Bruce CAN actually cook okay but purposely does it shitty so Alfred feels he still has a purpose in the manor.

Bruce doesn’t know how to properly apologize to his kids so he does the rich parent thing and uses his money. For Dick he will make donations to elephant charities and orphanages. For Jason he will give Crime Alley children scholarships to go to school and will donate 1st edition classic literature to the library Jason frequents. For Tim he invests in the Photography program and technology programs at his school. For Damian he will rent out art museums in Gotham and Manhattan for the day and will take him there for the day (a new animal will show up in the manor as well). For Steph (yes Steph is his child to me, deal with it.) he will make accessories (batarangs, etc) purple. Once he went out in a purple Batman suit whilst on patrol with spoiler. Cass got a ballet studio in the manor, like mans DEADASS got Clark’s kyptonian(?) ass to come help him too. Duke gets upgrades to his suits, random little gifts left in his room (could be something simple like chocolate or one time Bruce bought him an entire gaming set up.)

theres something about the way raph and mikey used to be closer when they were younger that really gets to me (with how raph either parentified himself or got parentified by his brothers, and mikey whos the baby of the family really wants independence) and i like to think there was a point in their lives maybe post movie where they sort of realized they've grown past that stage and really appreciate each other as brothers and equals who can support each other

While visitors to the practice were principally there to see the real James Herriot, and were often overcome with excitement to meet him - which always bemused Dad - they were also delighted if Donald Sinclair (better known to them as Siegfried) made an appearance. This of course tickled us as, since we had grown up in and around the practice, Donald and his younger brother Brian (on whom Tristan was based) were like family.

They were a constant presence in our lives, Donald was Jim's godfather and we always referred to him and his wife as "Uncle Donald and Auntie Audrey."
