Spoilers for ch. 30-53 below!

After the pool scene, it's clear Kim Dan has started to develop feelings for Jaekyung despite his awful personality, anger issues, abusive behavior, scary demeanor, and overall lack of empathy.

Right at chapter 30, Heesung is introduced

Heesung trains with Jaekyung once in a while for his acting because they belong to the same talent agency. He immediately falls for Kim Dan at first sight and isn't shy about is feelings.

Kim Dan is neutral about Heesung's advances and awkward about receiving his expensive gifts.

Jaekyung by nobody's surprise becomes jealous/possessive AF.

Heesung asks if there's something going on between him and Kim Dan and Jaekyung responds by inviting him over while fucking Kim Dan who is unaware because he had his eyes, ears, & mouth covered. Jaekyung tells Heesung "There's no relationship here, Kim Dan is my possession." :/

Jaekyung later is like, 'why did I do that lol'

Kim Dan turns down Heesung's feelings

While Heesung's out drinking by himself, Potato and two other guys from the gym bump into him and start drinking together.

Heesung & Potato talk about love. Heesung is like, 'I guess he's kind of cute? Guess I'll fuck him'.

Back to the MMA plot, Jaekyung accepted a fight where he'll be in a lower weight class so for the next month he's -extra- grumpy.

They go to America for his fight where he has to shed another 15 lbs before the weigh in. Jaekyung yells at Kim Dan because of the way he looked at him.

Jaekyung catches Kim Dan, Potato, and another fighter laughing and eating snacks. He pours the soda Kim Dan is drinking on his head :/ and Kim Dan is like 'it's okay he must be stressed'

The night before the fight, someone brings Jaekyung a nutrition shake that he doesn't need so Kim Dan drinks it. Then Kim Dan gets an uncontrollable erection that doesn't go away so he goes to Jaekyung's room to have sex before he was summoned for the jinx.

KIM DAN SAYS "I LOVE YOU" TO JAEKYUNG WHILE HE'S CLEARLY DRUGGED then passes out >< (he will not remember this)

Jaekyung is perfectly fine for his fight the next day and wins

They investigate the nutrition shake incident by interrogating Kim Dan but Kim Dan doesn't speak english. Jaekyung bursts in to get him, tells off security, and says "he's one of my own."

Kim Dan is star struck and is like 'omg he thinks I'm special. I definitely like him'

Back in Seoul, Kim Dan visits his grandmother

Kim Dan admits his feelings to himself again even though he also doesn't understand how he could fall for Jaekyung

Jaekyung's birthday approaches and Kim Dan wants to get him a gift so he takes on a late night part time delivery gig to make money.

Jaekyung hates all of the birthday fuss and is annoyed at all of the fan gifts

Meanwhile, Jaekyung's shoulder is probably getting worse and worse but he doesn't care and takes nobody's advice to take even a day off of training

While delivering food one night, Kim Dan bumps into the guy who Jaekyung kicked out in chapter 1! He tells Kim Dan that Jaekyung only thinks of him as a tool and nothing more - and that he'll throw him away once he's bored of him (Jaekyung in the past has literally said "you're just a tool for my jinx")

This hurts Kim Dan even though he already knew it to be true

Kim Dan buys Jaekyung a key chain from a luxury brand for his birthday and writes him a little card (we don't see what he writes)

The gym bros all go out to celebrate Jaekyung's birthday

Jaekyung accidentally drinks some of Kim Dan's soju and gets drunk and angry

The guys invite Kim Dan to join them for round 2 at another bar but Jaekyung put his arm around him and tells them, "Get lost. Doc Dan is coming home with me." (ngl, this is super cute)

Back at home, Kim Dan tries to get Jaekyung ready for bed. Jaekyung thinks he's trying to have sex so he starts taking clothes off. For the FIRST TIME Jaekyung asks Kim Dan if he wants to stop... and Kim Dan is like ?? he's never said that before

Kim Dan still wants it. They have sex and it's pretty cute <3 Jaekyung is like a different person when he's drunk, like he actually listens to Kim Dan...

The next morning is Jaekyung's birthday and Kim Dan gives him his gift!

Of course, Jaekyung gets angry and throws the gift across the room and tells Kim Dan not to waste his time and just do his job

Kim Dan starts to tell him that he has feelings for him but because of Jaekyung's reaction, he steps it back and tells him he's... in love grateful. Jaekyung says if he keeps slacking off he'll find someone else to do his job.

KIM DAN CRIES and admits that he's been an idiot thinking he's someone special to Jaekyung :( he picks up the gift Jaekyung threw on the ground and puts it in the trash

At the gym - Jaekyung attacks a gym bro because he gave him some attitude. Coach says they've lost 3 other guys because of his temper

We see it was Kim Dan's loan sharks that were behind the nutritional shake, working for a Mr. Choi who bets on athletes. Mr. Choi fires them and says he'll take matters into his own hands

The guy Jaekyung was supposed to face in the next fight drops out, so his new opponent is Baek Junmin at 'King of MMA' gym & fellow korean fighter

Kim Dan gets his grandma's biopsy results and it's not good news... he's told to prepare for the worst :'(

Mr. Choi at 'King of MMA' gym asks Kim Dan to meet with him. Kim Dan only goes because he tells him he has info about his grandma. He tries to recruit Kim Dan to his gym with more money and even a treatment for his grandma that's not legal in Korea yet. He also asks Kim Dan to rat out Jaekyung and Kim Dan says he'd never betray him walks out.

That night he tries to tell Jaekyung what happened but he's busy watching match footage. Right after, Jaekyung gets sent a picture of Kim Dan and Mr. Choi at the cafe they were at.

The day before the big match, Jaekyung meets Baek Junmin after weighing in. Baek Junmin asks if Jaekyung remembers him and then taunts him! "I'll never forget how you were as a kid. A little bitch ass punk." This makes Jaekyung remember him, although we don't get any more information or flash backs for context.

The day of the match! Kim Dan with the help of Potato triple checks everything in his bag and tests out the items on himself (due to the nutritional shake incident)

Mr Choi & co burst into the locker room to with Jaekyung good luck but it's a ruse for them to switch out one of the sprays while everyone is distracted by their argument.

Jaekyung's ankle bothers him while warming up so Kim Dan uses the spray on it and it immediately flares up. Everyone freaks out but it's minutes before the match, so he gets it taped up and everyone leaves Kim Dan behind in the locker room. Confused and alone.

The fight is rough for Jaekyung with his burning ankle being stepped on, multiple punches landed on him, and his injured shoulder targeted. They both stay on their feet so the fight is determined by points is is declared a tie!! Jaekyung's winning streak is over...

In the locker room, Kim Dan speaks to Jaekyung after he kicks everyone else out and tells him he's sorry.

Jaekyung accuses him of being the spy in their gym (that there have been rumors about for a while)

Kim Dan, in tears, says he would never do that and, "Mr. Joo, don't you trust me?" with his little puppydog eyes

Jaekyung is shaken for a moment, then tells him, "get out of my sight" and storms away.

Jaekyung attacks Baek Junmin while next to each other at the hospital and ends up suspended for 90 days and recovering from shoulder surgery

Meanwhile, a lot of the gym bros have switched to Baek Junmin/Mr. Choi's gym

Potato gets dragged to a meal with the gym bros that left and they try to convince him to switch gyms too (he says no of course) - he also overhears them talking about how Mr. Choi had a lot betting on Baek Junmin at the last match and how they swapped out the pain relief spray

Potato brings this info to Jaekyung and tells him, "no way Doc Dan is a spy."

The coach and Jaekyung have a little spat about him treating Doc Dan poorly and the coach slaps him lol

Jaekyung asks where Kim Dan is... but it's too late. Kim Dan QUIT!!

Jaekyung asks the coach why he quit and the coach is like, 'are you serious'

Kim Dan left to bring his grandmother to the ocean town where she grew up so she can see it one last time. He leaves a letter behind for Jaekyung.

We see a scene of them having sex the day before the match and after they finish Kim Dan just walks away without even looking at him

Jaekyung goes back home and is like, 'who said he could quit' but returns to an empty house! All that's left is Kim Dan's letter and team jacket that Jaekyung gave him
