Okay, fellow amateur internet detectives, this is so random but… anyone who read Kate Mulgrew’s memoirs knows that her mother Joan attended school with, and became a lifelong friend of, Jean Kennedy Smith, spending many vacations at the family compound, and was even JFK’s personal secretary in the early days of his political career before she married Kate’s father.

Look at the above photo. Is it just me or is the woman on the right Kate’s mother?? The article is from Town and Country and lists her as an ‘Unidentified Woman’.

DID WE CRACK ANOTHER CODE????

ok so

i was editing the pod and a case of me and cara being pedantic and annoying and bickering with one another has led me to investigate something further...

so we all know 143 is a mister rogers thing which is both a taylor and dianna thing and maybe why they started deciding to use that code to say “i love you”

HOWEVER the code originally came from a man in a lighthouse spelling it out using the light to signal “i love you”:

mister rogers popularized it in modern pop culture but it started at this lighthouse.

and look where the lighthouse is located:

RIGHT around ma where swiftgron was vacationing in hyannis and taylor performed also in tanglewood like it’s all right in that area!!!

what if they drove up there for the day and took a tour of the lighthouse or sailed by it (we know they went sailing we have pictures of both of them on sailboats) and someone told them the story and they started using it with one another?  maybe they didn’t even go up there but maybe a local was telling them about lighthouses (there’s plenty in the area they were in) and mentioned that code and story.  and they both also liked mister rogers and thought it was cool to learn the origin story and it became a thing for them!

think about all the water imagery in dianna songs- this love with the “clear blue water” the “hide tides” that bring them together, the “currents” that sweep her away.

think about the style music video!

1989 is for the “hyiannis port” muse!!! but that’s supposed to be conor!

i think hyannis must have been really special to them and that’s why she changed the liner note like - whatever happened there they had to mark and she couldn’t solely just let it be about conor she had to add that i in to make it known to at least dianna that it was really for her and ofc THAT’S THE RED SONG DIANNA JUST HAD TO TWEET ABOUT THE SONG WITH THE HYIANNIS PORT LINER NOTE:

and Dianna of course has a 143 reaction to the kaylor on the roads besties road trip because that’s where swiftgron found 143- while they were out travelling, roaming around, at the beach together! just like karlie and taylor were in that vogue spread? remember those days? remember when we used to go to the beach together? remember our secret i love you code?

THIS IS WHY WE HAVE TO KEEP OBSESSING OVER EVERY DETAIL THIS IS WHY THERE ARE NO BAD IDEAS IN BRAINSTORMING!!!
