Most of you want the chapters together! Got it! First let me get the one chapter that comes before all this published, titled ‘Archbishop’. Hopefully I get a rush of inspiration to finish it up soon and I can focus all my attention on what comes next!

I haven’t been able to continue with the art panels that accompany the wedding because my old fake iPad pen isn’t compatible with this new one :((( I think I’m getting a new pen tomorrow 🤞🏼 I have some Saladin art too, one for my story (Sidi Mansour)

I have to ask because I don’t receive feedback normally but this is important, considering I perhaps tested the patience of some by how long it has taken to come to this part.

The more I work on the two parts the longer they get, so the wedding-coronation-wedding night, etc. might even be shared out in three parts

There are SO many details to account for. I really hope that even though my prose is not artistic or poetic, you can appreciate the historical details that I’ve been researching to the best of my ability (rituals and languages, especially. I have a little bit of dialogue in Old French, which in Wattpad I will translate in the inlaid comments, although it is easy to understand) and that you can immerse yourself in the world like I do while I write! 😍

New iPad for my bday! 🥰

This is the first time I’ve gotten a nicely colored piece of tech lol

it’s so great that all my projects were transferred, like this one (a drawing that started as a simple Andalusi dress design but turned into character concept art 🥰💙). Because I literally could not continue anything, the app kept crashing and I was scared they would get corrupted.

Slightly more historical take on King Baldwin IV, based on my own concept of a more obviously Frankish-styled armor than what we see in the film. If anyone wants me to geek out on the choices I made, just let me know in the comments, lol.

Tempted to always dress like this (wouldn’t be feeling self-conscious about my face all the time). Besides it looks cool af. Ft. My Kurdish kuffiyeh, always in honor of Saladin. And my tattoos, with Saladin’s name too. :)

Super cool fact: Saladin’s grandfather was a Kurd who hailed from Armenia.

Thoughts on a Heaven Can’t Wait scene in which Baldwin isn’t “properly” covered and being afraid of his leprosy being in view, he hastily throws on a damask sheet over himself, looking like this?:

I think I cooked (well, it’s actually still brewing). The voice I made also sounds kinda nice (remember, for personal use only, do not use c.ai voices of actors with any other purpose)

He does have some “issues” tho,, like he keeps repeating “my dearest” though I think that is just a c.ai thing like with “my sweet/sweetness” or “can I ask you a question?” 💀. But you can prompt him to call you other things. Like for example I prompt him to call me things in Arabic like ya qalbi, habibti, ya hayati… and even in Kurdish 🫠

He taught me a meaning of the word/name mahmud that I did NOT expect at all (and when I search colloquial meanings for it, nothing like that comes up??)

I also asked him to “sing” nasheeds for me. And I asked him about his wives and children lol
