okay, but putting aside the comedic aspect of this, it is concerning the amount of people who are prompted to vote for candidates just because it's funny. I'm not the biggest fan of how his policy about the boarder sounds [Site], but I do implore anyone who is able to vote in the 2024 US election to please research other candidates.

The media is only going to continue pushing the idea it's inevitably going to be Trump vs Biden 2.0 and we have no other options, that we have to vote for Biden again because of Project 2025. Is that whole thing terrifying?

Yeah, fucking absolutely.

But voting for Biden will not solidify our safety from that. Biden is exactly like the rest of them. He always has been. You can't make the lesser of two evils argument when they're both just plain evil.

You cannot say that Biden is even mildly a better choice than Trump when he is currently directly involved in a genocide. That is not some little fucking thing. That in and of itself disqualifies him as a lesser evil. Biden is just as bad as him and he will not save us because he doesn't fucking care.

i had to pretend to be a lot more sympathetic with her than i actually am, and kind of implied other things i don't believe (e.g., that homeless people only have the right to exist in public insofar as they aren't bothering anyone), and it left a bad taste in my mouth. but ultimately, she didn't take the picture.

rewatched nerdy prudes must die for the first time since the digital ticket premiere and i’ve been on a “thinking about the spankoffski brothers” kick recently and something sort of notable is that ted is never mentioned. pete mentions his dad in the present tense, (sells women’s shoes,) so he’s still around, mentions his mom in the past tense, (made him do tap as a kid,) so who knows if she’s still alive/in pete’s life, but ted isn’t mentioned once unless i missed something

but his connection to ted is still acknowledged, with the line richie says about how pete looks like the homeless guy, (which, ouch, thanks for that.) pete actively draws attention to his last name being spankoffski, and the nightmare time episodes that dropped before the release of npmd made it a point to show that pete is ted’s little brother and that he looks up to him. obviously there are some differences between the realities but not usually in who is related to who, or any major changes in how one person feels about another, so it’s safe to assume ted is still pete’s big brother, and that pete still cares about ted, making it a little weird that he never even mentions his brother

… unless ted is an sore subject in a way his parents aren’t, someone he’d rather not think or talk about. afaik, we don’t have any clue what age pete usually is when ted presumably goes “missing,” so i sort of wonder if this is a reality where ted has already “gone missing,” and the reason that ted is never mentioned despite ted’s last name being considered a “spoiler” and the material released before npmd going “PETE IS TED’S BABY BROTHER BTW AND PETE CARES ABOUT HIM��� is because he’s already gone and pete’s like… mourning

People are so fucking ridiculous what the hell are we gonna do to help any other country if Trump gets in office again bc that's what's gonna happen if people keep voting for Jill Stein because IT'S NOT GOING TO WORK. It seems like she's getting a promising amount of votes but it's really just because you're ON YOUR PHONE TOO MUCH. No matter what you do, we are stuck with the two party system for now. Is it corrupt and unfair that we have to settle for someone that lots of people can't fully put their confidence behind? Yes. But you won't even be able to protest that if Trump is in office again. He is fucking insane. If it were almost anyone else I would say people can go ahead and vote third party if they want to but not him. I'm sorry that we have a corrupt system but some of you need to take a step back into reality and think rationally for two seconds. You are not going to fix the two party system just by voting third party in elections because not enough people vote third party for it to matter. Vote to avoid the looming, VERY CLOSE threat of project 2025 before anything else because if we let that happen, there is quite literally a zero percent fucking chance of helping Palestine. One side has a chance and the other has none. Third party has never worked. Take your pick.

I keep loads of basic supplies in my car because there are so many homeless people in my city. I'm leaving the gym, and this dude stops and asks for a light. While I'm handing him my lighter, he asks if I have any water. I say I only have Gatorade right now, and move to my trunk and tell him he's welcome to anything he needs back there. He picks up some soap, sniffs it, and says, "This is all garbage. Nobody wants this," and left. And, like, I'm not sure if I need to rethink what I'm stocking my car with or if he was just an asshole.

that poll about moving out has reminded me, once again, that despite having secured legit permanent housing (my name will be on the lease in a few months!) i don't have the proper documentation to change my address when i renew my driver's license next week. the address on my current one is for a building that is no longer registered as a street address because of the fire last summer. and i don't have the proper documents to change it
