sometimes i like to imagine hirotsu is just the go to guy for crush ranting

like my man will be trying to relax, have a drink, and chuuya will burst in like "can you fucking believe the NERVE of that bastard DAZAI????"

and then after a few hours of that, he'll be like finally, but then higuchi will come in like "akutagawa senpai is so handsome but gin is kind of cool too, i don't know what to-"

and then after a few hours of that, akutagawa will burst in like "THAT DAMNED WERETIGER SMILED AT ME I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO SHOULD I KILL HIM???"

and after a few hours of that

chuuya bursts in again like "WHY IS THAT BASTARD DAZAI'S NEW PARTNER SO TALL AND WHO EVEN GROWS OUT THEIR HAIR LIKE THAT WHY DID DAZAI GET A HANDSOME PARTNER WHY NOT ME"

and after a bit of that akutagawa bursts in again "I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I THREATENED THE WERETIGER BUT HE JUST GIGGLED AND NOW I HAVE A DATE"

and then after a few hours of that he tries to relax and tachihara bursts in like "I LIKE GIN DOES THAT MEAN IM GAY"

and after a few hours of that-

Just a post abt Hirotsu being a protective and caring father figure for Tachihara

He genuinely believes in Tachihara. Keep in mind that this was about a page after we actively see him realize Tachihara was a hunting dog. He’s very good at not letting Tachihara get in his head and doubt himself.

He doesn’t order Tachihara in this moment. Fukuchi ofc cares about Tachihara, but he also places his goal of world peace above all. The hunting dogs, including himself, are disposable at the end of the day. They’re the personification of justice. They’re slaves, human weapons, and a multitude of other things they’ve been called. Mori also orders Tachihara to fight Fukuchi while he’s clearly vulnerable. Hirotsu could so easily tell him that as a member of the mafia, he should know better. But he poses it as a question, allowing Tachihara to choose for himself. Whether Mori or Fukuchi, someone is always choosing Tachihara’s path for him.

He doesn’t let Tachihara shut himself in. He knows that Tachihara won’t ask for things he wants or do things for himself, but refuses to let him not do them. In Tachihara’s POV of the event, he thinks that Hirotsu just wanted someone to go drinking, but it’s obvious that that’s not the case. I couldn’t add any more photos, but in Chuuya’s side story, he mentions that he could tell Tachihara enjoyed himself, even if he was frowning.

He frequently checks on Tachihara. In the official translation (which I own but don’t have a good photo of), the line is ‘that’s what’s most important’.

This painful scene. Tachihara rushes towards him and he tells him to run. With no hesitation. He uses his ability to push him away. It’s a reckless gamble, considering that it was enough force to knock off heavy warehouse doors, but he used his last moments of lucidity to save Tachihara.

There’s so many more panels I could add (including the cafe mayoi cards where Hirotsu gives him so much free food, the mayoi card where they play a card game, the one where they’re painting a building…and also beast, where they’re still standing together), but photo limit strikes again. Anyway Tachihara deserves all the found families and I love how much Hirotsu cares abt him and tries to protect him.

PS all I’m saying is, Mori didn’t dare summon him alone in a dark room and pat his head when Hirotsu was there.

Chuuya : You weren’t there! You didn’t hear what that little punk said to me !

Hirotsu : What did he say?

Chuuya : “What’re you gonna do ? Stab me ?”

Hirotsu : Sounds like him.

I can so see Fukuzawa doing the asian parent thing of giving Agency members fruit as a sign of affection.

Just walks in and puts a big ol bowl of apple slices and grapes on one of the desks and another in Yosano’s office.

They have to move fast because if they don’t Ranpo will commandeer the bowl. Atsushi was so surprised by it, especially when a separate one was placed next to him.

Fukuzawa warm but sternly telling him to eat as much he wants.

Kyouka smiled teary eyed when she first witnessed it because her parents also did that. She got her own little bowl after the Guild incident and shared it with Atsushi.

I also like to think Hirotsu has done this for Port Mafia members. It started to make sure everyone was getting a healthy snack on long days.

And has since become a regular thing.

The day Higuichi earned his respect, she got a bowl of melon slices. She was so happy and shared them with Akutugawa who thanked them both. He and Chuuya get their own bowls because of their pasts on the streets.

Hirotsu knew they could take care of themselves but he couldn’t help it and it’s not like they ever refused it. Akutagawa shares his fruit bowl with Gin and if they’re both not busy Chuuya shares his with Kouyou.

Also Chuuya and Dazai would definitely fight over the last piece.

Odasaku did it with his kids and definitely just put a whole apple in Dazai’s hand one day like here you go. The first time Dazai’s surprised but as time goes on it turns into him theatrically asking it to be cut up for him.

Just former assassin turned Port Mafia delivery boy, Oda Sakunosuke casually pulling out a knife and cutting up apple slices in the middle of an interrogation for the Demon Prodigy.

Just these guys not being the best at showing affection but loving these people dearly. So they show it through sharing food. To show them all that they care.

And each and everyone around them knowing that they are loved.

Gin: Three counts of resisting arrest. Akutagawa: Approximately thirteen cans of energy drinks. Hirotsu: Besides, that's not our car.

Chuuya x Reader

“Do you, Chuuya Nakahara, take this person to be you lawfully wedded spouse?”

“I do.”

Chuuya did not consider himself a mushy person. He never thought much on the future with someone or dreamed about his wedding day. But ever since he met [Y/N], he had dreamed of this moment. The moment when they would finally be his. He would be theirs. Together forever.

Through the happy ringing in his ears, Chuuya vaguely heard them answer back “I do” after their own vows, and the minister go, “you may now kiss your spouse.”

He grinned. And just as about the moment their lips touched to seal their bond of marriage, the windows flew open & glass exploded everywhere. “What the hell?!”

The church was suddenly swarming with operatives. Who or from where, Chuuya couldn’t be sure. They all had that stupid, bland uniform of black tactical gear and shouting like idiots admits gunfire. He knew it couldn’t be the Agency. They would never be this sloppy, and he had to believe that Dazai wouldn’t ruin his wedding (on purpose like this). So they were just a bunch of faceless, opportunistic goons, trying to ruin his special day to make a name for themselves.

“You ruined my wedding!” Chuuya’s powers activated and the pews in the church flew at the men. Knocking them down like bowling pins.

He growled, but then turned his attention to the side when he heard a click. A few men sneaking past the main lines and up on his flank. Too close for him to activate his powers quickly.

Three shots then rang out and the men fell quickly. Chuuya turned to see [Y/N] aiming their pistol over his shoulder. “What? You didn’t think I was really going to come to our wedding unarmed, did you?” Chuuya grinned. God how he loved them.

More men swarm the church and Chuuya braced for a further fight. Before they could reach him and his new spouse, however, they were suddenly repelled back much like scattering leaves. “We’ll take it from here, boy.” Hirotsu announced as he stood in front of the happy couple.

“Old man…”

Blood curdling screams followed by the sound of a sword being sheath echoed as Golden Demon’s imposing figure hovered in the room. “No need to thank us.” Ozaki insisted as she appeared, equally mysterious, beside her demon. “Consider it a wedding present. Now, go on. Run off into the sunset like good little love birds. I expect lots of souvenirs from your honeymoon as a thank you.”

 Chuuya smiled softly at them, but then took [Y/N]’s hand and sprint off for the back.

He knew this life would not be easy for him. It wouldn’t be easy for either of them. But, if they were together, there was nothing they couldn’t overcome. They just had to keep moving towards the future together.
