☕Soul Story with Your Divine Counterpart ♊ Timeless Pick A Card
A long, long, long time ago, in the harmonic realms of Pure Bliss, there was nothing but Dharma. Bored as whoa from a lack of strife, our Souls began to yearn for Drama. In the theatre of the Universe, Game Masters joined forces to create the most hyper-realistic Game of Polarity—of opposites and contrasts. We were told, we would understand Unity better if we could master Duality.
Divine Pairs were invited for the launch of the Game as the unbreakable bond between them was deemed the most powerful, enough to withstand the chaotic nature of Duality and Polarity. In time, we all jumped into the Game expecting all kinds of immersive experiences of playing knaves and heroes, destroyers and builders, enemies and lovers, et cetera, et cetera.
In the beginning, we played amongst many of our own Kind but eventually met those from other harmonics who had later been invited to the Game, too. In a world of illusions
we were dreaming all kinds of events and adventures with our cosmic avatars, and in time, all kinds of storylines intertwined to weave an even bigger cosmic narrative.
We all played for so long we were beginning to forget our true form. Many of us could no longer recognise each other’s Divine Counterparts. A multitude of shape-shifting had caused a distortion in reconnecting to our Original Memory. The game world had now become a second Reality.

Pile 1 – Finally, Happily Ever After with You♄
MOVIE: Howl’s Moving Castle (2004)
Tumblr media
your Home World – Page of Swords
I have a feeling your Home World (at least one of them that is significant in your current stage of soul evolution) was a relatively new world. You’ve come from a civilisation that prized intellectual pursuits more than anything. Your Kind loved to study; you enjoyed improving your environment and society. Researching plants—understanding them and making chemicals and potions with them—was a pastime of your people. You were working to understand your Planet.
Your Home World had many large, expansive libraries of all the things your people had come to learn. Many people loved to visit the library and read and just have fun studying. You were such big-brained folks. There was no school like we know on Earth. There were academies and laboratories for children to partake in research and new inventions. The weather on your Home World was always pleasantly sunny and you could see buildings that are similar to hot houses on Earth. There were gardens and open fields, of course. Vegs and herbs were your main interest and food was aplenty.
People had roles in society but nobody had any semblance of a concept of what we call ‘jobs’ on Earth. People didn’t work for money. People lived with the joy of knowing that they were alive and that the Planet had provided for them. Your people loved the Planet so much—you appreciated and cherished this new world you were beginning to understand. But
this also meant you didn’t have any concept of conflict, power struggle, and war
You didn’t have a military—never crossed your mind the necessity for such a thing.
And so, when warmongering space invaders attacked your Home World you couldn’t protect yourself.
a promise before birth – 4 of Swords Rx
From the moment the space invaders arrived, it was clear that there was no way your civilisation could stand a chance against the enemy’s warships. The imbalance of military power was too overbearing. You didn’t even have an army, not even a fighter. All you could do was try your best to evacuate your people and escape the Planet. Homes and gardens were destroyed and families were torn apart. Friends and lovers calling out names of lost loved ones. Sisters and mothers shielding children and escaping. Brothers and fathers staying behind to buy time.
This horror was etched in your Soul Memory for a long time. Your heartbreak became a default setting when you chose to be born on Earth. As if, you’d forgotten how it feels like to have peace. But you craved it from the deepest unseen well of your subconscious, and at one point in your soul evolution, you prayed to Infinite Intelligence. You prayed that you could be saved from the looping horror of being trapped in the same scenario of sorrows. You had come to resent the Game.
‘Please, salvage my heart from betrayals, isolation and loneliness.’ Infinite Intelligence heard your plea and whispered: ‘If you could remember your Divine Counterpart, they will remember you, too, and you will be calling out for one another. If you could remember your true form, you will remember what your Divine Counterpart feels (looks) like. And all will be fine in all of the worlds again when you meet.’ And you fell back into slumber to find yourself awake on Earth.
finding each other – 5 of Swords Rx
Earth is a world that is just as war-torn as your Home World, if not a lot worse out here. Being born into a world so reminiscent of all your traumas, navigating Life here has not been easy. As if Infinite Intelligence had played a cruel joke on you. But the truth is, Earth is the perfect place for you right now because by being here you resolve your traumas a lot faster than if you had been born somewhere comparatively better. You are in the midst of recovering from bad dreams of lives lost in wars.
Did it cross your mind that your Divine Counterpart has also been doing the same? You’re not alone. You’re working really hard to purify yourself from all of these bad dreams, bad memories, all so you wouldn’t mistakenly destroy each other when you meet. Infinite Intelligence had arranged for you to face your traumas head on so you wouldn’t have to show your ugly healing to each other. That scenario isn’t for you. Isn’t it so graceful?
Although it’s hard to face your challenges feeling like you’re all alone in the wild wide world, trust me, it’s better to have those quarrels and separations with people who mean little. I can hear a soft voice from the aether saying: ‘You’re
the only reason I’m still breathingïżœïżœ We will meet. When I’m good, I can make everything in your world good!’ So confident. So loving, indeed.

Pile 2 – True Calm That Comes Only After the Storms
MOVIE: Grave of the Fireflies & My Neighbor Totoro (both 1988)
Tumblr media
your Home World – 8 of Cups
Quite similar to Pile 1, you still carry deep sadness and heavy regrets in your heart that are, truthfully, only remnants of memories from your Home World. Your Home World was quite advanced technologically. Your civilisation depended on the Masculine energy—Yang energy. Societies were run on varying degrees of strictness but the modus operandi was clear: the masculine form and structural ways of running things were favoured.
Obviously, not everybody was happy about that though for a long time, peace was maintained. However, influences from visitors and ambassadors from other civilisations (by comparison they were freer; more fluid) eventually seeped into the consciousness of the main populace, and in time, underground rebellion groups were formed. These alliances were made amongst multiple races of beings that felt they weren’t accepted (or respected enough) by the main races.
Friction began to tear apart the establishment and government officials tried their utmost to crack down dissents. Many went to prison or got killed in the numerous conflicts that were becoming a plague in your Home World. In a last attempt to preserve the codes of freedom, many elders told their young warriors to flee and find refuge in other Worlds that were, hopefully, more balanced in their operation of Yin and Yang.
a promise before birth – 3 of Cups
You left your Home World carrying a promise to come back and make everything better after you’ve learnt enough about the ways of other Worlds. Tears were inevitable but the determination in your heart was solid. You were a new legion of Ambassadors from your own Home World. You didn’t really want to think of yourselves as refugees, after all, many of your Soul Family members were still living alright in your Home World though things were just
 a little too unpleasantly unjust.
When you departed your Home World, you created a mirror image of yourself to accompany you across the Multiverse—a divinely ordained Counterpart. This was possible by the grace of the Infinite Intelligence, of course. In the beginning, you went to the same places and learnt similar things. Over time, your understanding of each other’s capabilities became clearer and, with confidence, you decided you would travel separately from now on.
You had this unbreakable bond and an immense capacity for telepathy, so you weren’t the slightest bit worried about losing contact with your Counterpart. You believed that it would be just as easy to call upon each other and reunite as you deemed fit. Alas, your travels brought you to Earth, finally, and things over here were just
slightly over-the-top chaotic for even you to handle. The level of evil on this new World was
 NEXT LEVEL.
finding each other – 7 of Pentacles Rx
Crash landing on Earth! Coming here felt like a major accident. Your whole world upside down. The reason being something related to betrayal trauma. To find a World that’s even more polarised than your own; to see a World that operates on the highest level of toxic masculinity; to be in a World this corrupted by its own leaders; needless to say the whole being born thing was traumatising.
The shocks of being born on Earth made it difficult to reconnect with the essence of who you are on a Soul level. Thus you forgot how to contact your Divine Counterpart. You’ve felt like you have so little guidance living Life on Earth. But deep in your psyche, you’ve always known you’re here for something greater than the mundane. You know you don’t belong to this Earth. You’re here on a mission. You want to build something with someone
Someone dear, but you can’t remember.
Can you believe that you and your Divine Counterpart are meant to inspire the dissolution of anger? Yes, this World so deep in the clutches of aggression. You are special Souls who have been ordained to meet on Earth when the time is right to help inspire peace—after all, it is what you seek and Infinite Intelligence is arranging every couple’s rendezvous in the most magnificently mysterious ways. I think your finding each other is just gonna happen naturally by virtue of matching vibrations. So~ Keep focusing on your Life’s mission and just like that~ BOOM! There they are.

Pile 3 – ‘Kiss You Better; I’m Your Only Other’
MOVIE: Princess Mononoke (1997)
Tumblr media
your Home World – 6 of Wands
The Home World that’s currently significant in your soul evolution was a world of glory and magnificence. Your Home World looked nothing like what we know of abundance and celebration on Earth; it was such a rich and happy World. It emanated so much pink, gold, blue, turquoise and soft violet. Back in your Home World, people didn’t even look
humanoid, per se. Your Home World was
fluid. It was a different type of consciousness. Life itself was fluid. Existence was simply flowing with the sweet symphony of the Cosmos.
Your Home World operated on the basis of Love. People were very kind and jolly most of the time. Your people didn’t really understand this whole concept of non-Love. Suffering and terror
what the heck are those? Manipulation and lies
for what? Taking advantage of someone else, murder and theft
 but
why? All of those concepts were so foreign yet so fascinating to your people.
When you heard that Earth needed some high-vibe volunteers to ‘raise her vibrations’, actually, not that many people from your Home World were interested LMAO The risks of being separated and forgetting Love sounded not worth a good dime. Your World was so peaceful, loving and fulfilling. But the call from Earth felt a little too urgent! So
Some curious and courageous Souls finally decided to take a test drive. Just a preview. It couldn’t be that bad, you thought.
a promise before birth – King of Wands
With gleeful optimism, you promised people back Home that you would be back with grand stories! Off you and your Soul Mates went to a big academy (on another World) to study and prepare for a reincarnation on Earth. Yup, unlike the other Piles in which they couldn’t help but arrive on Earth, you chose to come here out of genuine curiosity. You were expecting dramatic fun!
You and your Divine Counterpart were giggling with anticipation as you prepared yourselves to dive into the Earth Matrix. You and your Divine Counterpart are powerful Souls; you were confident this Game would be between easy to medium difficulty, although you had been told Earth Game’s level of easy is the equivalent of extra hard anywhere else! Your optimism deafened you to that piece of informationđŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž
You kissed your Divine Counterpart and said, ‘I love you. Let’s find each other quickly in this Game. Let’s have fun and then go back to tell everyone what we’ve seen! It’ll be great!’ Your Divine Counterpart nodded in agreement and waved to all members of your Soul Family and they did the same. With great determination to serve your collective consciousness back Home, you dove into the illusions of Life on Earth🌎
finding each other – 5 of Pentacles
Arriving here, from the moment you were born as a child the world was already chaos. The reality of Earth was too shocking to bear alone. Who would’ve thought the density of Earth would cause you this much pain? Physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually, everythingally. You thought, ‘Damn, my training at the academy told me nothing, NOTHING, of this!’ Literally you didn’t expect Earth’s negative polarisation would be THIS fucked up.
For you’ve come from a world of nothing but Love, Life on Earth was soul-shattering to say the least. Many moments you’ve thought it impossible to go back to the frequencies of Love and you became dejected as fuck. But you’ve only forgotten that YOU are Love. You carry the memories of all your collective consciousness that supports your coming here. As long as you tap into this Love deep within yourself, so shall you be reconnected to the essence of who you are on a profound Soul level. There, as well, you will feel the heartbeat of your Divine Counterpart.
For you’ve come from Love, it’s as if your Divine Counterpart had left a piece of their Heart in yours so you never feel alone. You are both a complete whole carrying a piece of each other’s essence everywhere you go—a perfect personification of the Yin-Yang symbolism. You are literally inseparable and have never truly been separated. A piece of your Heart in theirs is always reminding them of their ultimate goal in this incarnation: to find each other, weave stories together, and infuse a piece of yourselves into the collective conscious of Mankind as a token of gratitude—for all the experiences.

How does food work out on Kamino? How do they grow it? How do they make it? Is seafood a heavy portion, or are they given a more balanced meal?
In 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Captain Nemo sources his food entirely from the ocean from various organisms, both plant and animal (I can send you pictures of those parts if you like). Is it similar?
And do the clones end up disliking freshwater creatures if their diet is mostly seafood? Or do any, if not all, grow sick of seafood?
What of ration bars? Are you declaring them obsolete, or do they have an in-world equivalent?
Here I am, answering three questions in one post. Look at me go.
Kaminoan Dietary Habits and Gastronomy: A Presentation
So, yes, there is a lot of fish consumption, but. Like. Not normal fish. Not the kind of fish that the citizens of the Archipelago eat. Kamino's like, deep into the twilight zone of the ocean. There's barely any light at all. Our boys are chowing down on hatchetfish and deep-sea squid. Throw some blobfish and bioluminescent jellyfish in there and I call that a balanced meal.
An important thing to note is that, being as dark as it is in the mesopelagic zone (by the way have i mentioned that the ocean is freakin' cool and i love it and i WILL be a nerd about it in my worldbuilding), there isn't enough light for adequate photosynthesis. Now, the Fortress still does have gardens and plants from when it was above the sea, but as it is, this provides for a very limited selection of flora, as most of the plants the Kaminoans grew and grow are herbs and other alchemical ingredients. Therefore, much of the "plant" material is actually harvested from plankton, which are either caught wild or, more often, grown in the Fortress itself and made into the ration-bars. (Ahsoka loves to poke fun at Rex and his algae biscuits whenever she catches him eating them.)
Surface food is an interesting experience. See, people can only go so long eating essentially raw anglerfish and plankton-cakes before they start to realize. Hey. What are we doing. So a lot of Clones are super enthusiastic about new foods and practically jump to try anything novel. That being said, there is a non-negligible group who are so used to a Kaminoan diet that they are hesitant to even be open to the possibility of any new tastes. And then there are a few guys in the middle, who are neutral on the whole deal.
Tumblr media
Citrus fruits are a particularly divisive subject. There is nothing like fresh fruit in the Fortress, so Clones either love it or hate it. But regardless, it's a necessity on the High Seas, and a staple of their diet above the waters. There have been innovations for those who can't stomach it (dried, juiced, baked goods in particularly bad cases, et cetera), but it does eventually boil down to the fact that some people (cough cough echo) have to be tied to the mast and have someone else (cough cough kix) try to coax the kriffing things down their throats.
Tumblr media
Chocolate does, in fact, exist, and also, in fact, may be the only unifying taste among the GAR. Also, most Clones to continue to be partial to seafood, because it's the most like home. Caf still exists and is very popular with everyone, except for those who would prefer tea. (Chocolate and coffee have been around for a very long time so I think I'm good adding them here.) Baked goods and confections are also extant, though their availability and type is dependent upon whatever island a person is on- for example, Coruscant or Naboo or Alderaan will have much more elaborate and higher-quality sweets than, say, Tatooine or Ryloth or Shili.
And yes, there are both real-world and Star-Wars specific food and drink and plants, just like there are in the animal world.
I hope this was interesting, and made sense :D

I like to re post this every now and again because it's good advice I frequently forget.
Also I post it in part because I'm laying in bed with Covid (for the first time) at the moment and eating as much fruit as I can to expedite recovery. I grabbed a banana and orange, ate the banana and asked myself if this was a good combo or not. Glad I checked, because it was not. The last thing I need is indigestion.
But because it's me, my main focus has been doubling down on nutrition and observing my own results. I was eating plant based before, but sometimes I went a little too hard on the peanut butter trail mix, breads, or other sweet treats.
My doctor said rest and hydrate, but I took it a step further and since testing positive have cut out wheat, sugar, and any kind of dairy or processed foods. I figure nothing that could make inflammation worse. I've been consuming tons of herbs like cinnamon, ginger, echinacea, and turmeric while eating fresh citrus fruits like lemon, orange, strawberry, and pineapple daily.
Now I did a bit of tooling about the internet to see if any studies had been done over the last four years regarding a plant based diet and it's effects on Covid. The results were hopeful.
I found one study that said,
"Merino et al revealed that healthy plant-based foods could decrease the risk and severity of COVID-19.21 In this large survey, it was shown that as the quality of the diet rises, the risk of disease COVID-19 (HR 0.91) and severe COVID-19 (HR 0.59) diminishes.
Which gave me hope so I kept digging.
Another one stated, "Compared with an omnivorous Western diet, plant-based diets containing mostly fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, with restricted amounts of foods of animal origin, are associated with reduced risk and severity of COVID-19. "
And I can tell you that has been my experience thus far. I developed a fever that went away after 24 hours and didn't go over 100.4. My only other symptom has been a stuffy nose with sinus pressure. Im definitely tired and need to limit activity but I can still taste and smell, breathe through my nose a decent amount of the time, and I'm not coughing. I'm lucky in that I have time off from work and for that I am grateful, as rest is another key component.
And why would a plant based diet be so beneficial for mitigating Covid symptoms? Because, "plant-based dietary patterns are rich in antioxidants, phytosterols and polyphenols which positively affect several cell types implicated in immune function and exhibit direct antiviral properties."
The full study can be found if you pop this into Google::
Acosta-Navarro JC, Dias, LF, de Gouveia LAG et al. Vegetarian and plant based diets associated with lower incidence of COVID-19ïżŒ. BMJ Nutr Prev Health 2024:e000629. doi:10.1136/bmjnph-2023-000629
I was really scared at first and this information helped me feel more empowered in my health and recovery. It's not a substitute for any medical attention or prevention like vaccines, hand washing, and mask wearing- all things I was doing regularly prior to getting sick which may have also been variables in keeping my symptoms down. A little help goes a long way.
Has any other plant based person had a similar experience? Let me know.

Vegan Butter Review
I recently tried this 100% Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, and Vegan Butter, and it has completely transformed my cooking experience! As someone who’s always on the lookout for healthy and tasty alternatives, this butter exceeded all my expectations. It’s not only a perfect 1:1 substitute for traditional butter in any recipe, but it also stands out on its own with its light, creamy texture and incredible taste.
Tumblr media
The blend of fresh herbs—parsley, cilantro, and basil—brings a vibrant, aromatic quality that enhances even the simplest dishes. I used it to sautĂ© vegetables, and the difference in savor was remarkable. It added a depth of essence that’s hard to achieve with regular butter. Plus, it's vegan, which makes it an excellent choice for anyone following a plant-based diet, and being gluten-free is a huge bonus for those with dietary restrictions.
One of my preferred ways to enjoy this butter is just spreading it on a warm slice of gluten-free bread. The herbs really come through, creating a fresh and satisfying snack that feels indulgent but is actually quite healthy.
I love that this butter is so versatile—whether I’m baking, cooking, or just looking for a quick spread, it’s become a kitchen staple. If you’re searching for a dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan butter that doesn’t compromise on taste or texture, I highly recommend giving this a try. It’s a game-changer!
order it here!

LITHA
Also known as Midsummer
Tumblr media
When is Litha?
It is celebrated on the summer solstice, which is the 20th of June in 2024. However, it can be celebrated between June 20th-24th, depending on when the solstice is or how it may have traditionally been celebrated.
What does Litha mean?
“Litha” is the celebration of the longest day and the shortest night of the year, welcoming the light, warmth, vitality, and power of the summer sun. The summer solstice offers the longest amount of daylight hours of any day in the calendar year.
Who does Litha celebrate?
Any gods and goddesses in relation to fertility, beauty, and the sun are worshipped, including Lugh, Celtic God of sun and light, Helios, Greek God of the sun, and Freya, Norse Goddess of summer, love, and fertility. Modern pagan practices include honoring the “Oat King” or the personification of summer, who is said to be at his peak strength around Midsummer.
—————
LITHA TRADITIONS
Work with stones that inspire creativity, abundance, and renewed strength, like citrine, sunstone, tiger’s eye, amber, and carnelian.
Utilize mood-boosting, aromatic herbs and flowers such as orange blossoms, sunflowers, ferns, thyme, sage, and St. John’s wart. These plants blossom beautifully in the summertime and symbolize vigor, love, and happiness. The herbs may ease stress, and reduce inflammation; St. John’s wart has been traditionally consumed for relieving symptoms of depression.
Eat an assortment of fruits, like early summer peaches, plums, cherries, and blackberries. These fruits are round like the sun, and are plump and plentiful, symbolizing the wish for abundance and fertility.
Decorate and dress yourself with bright, summery yellows, oranges, golds, and whites.
Incorporate animal imagery (e.g., figurines, photographs, drawings, et cetera) of eagles, sparrows, horses, and bulls, all magnificently free-spirited, powerful, and protective animals.
Tumblr media
LITHA ACTIVITIES
Cleanse your face and body. Fill a water basin and leave it under the summer moonlight, mixed with at least one of the seven herbs of St. John (fern, rose, fennel, lemon verbena, rosemary, mallow, gorse, or whatever is available to use). Use this holy water to cleanse yourself.
Write a letter to the fairies. It is said that the veil between the human world and the world of the fae remains thin at this time. Ask for a wish and add gemstones and plants as an offering, and hope that the fairies will grant your wish true.
Take a ritual bath. Add sea salt, sugar, citrus slices and/or essential oils for a calm, refreshing bath time.
Drink refreshing beverages. Lemonade of any flavor, like raspberry or lavender, is a great summer-inspired choice. A traditional Litha tea recipe includes brewed black tea, fresh raspberries, sugar, and mint leaves.
Light a bonfire. Assist the sun with its offerings of warmth and light and safely dance and sing around the fire.
Prepare a Queimada. There is a popular tradition from Galicia where participants would read an incantation whilst preparing the alcoholic "Galicia Fire Drink": made with aguardiente or orujo (or any brandy you can obtain), coffee beans, sugar, and lemon and orange peels. The drink is mixed and prepared in an earthenware pot or hollowed-out pumpkin, kind of like a cauldron.
Here is a link for more information on the Conxuro da Queimada, as well as the English translation for the incantation:
Make a Litha altar. Add an icon or figurine of your preferred Litha God/Goddess in the center of your altar, and surround it with white and yellow candles, abundance crystals, herbs and sunflowers, bird feathers, and gold-colored decorations.
Get creative with recipes! Carlota Santos, who is the author of Magicka, recommends a savory vegetable coca. Here is the recipe below!

Determining Appropriate Herb Usage
On figuring out if an herb is closed, and appropriate usage of cultural plants.
I often see people asking for things like a list of closed herbs/plants. And while I hate to be the bearer of bad news, sometimes you have to accept that what seems like a simple and practical solution can never be made reality. There will never be an exhaustive or complete list of closed herbs, because there are too many. Also, not everybody agrees on what appropriation is, and there are a lot of cultures that should be closed but haven't been appropriated enough for that to be common knowledge/a concern the original culture expresses. So here is how to go over all the necessary considerations to see if you are or could be (mis)appropriating an herb.
Determining if a Plant is Closed/Inappropriate to Use
The best rule of thumb, in my opinion, to check if an herb is not open to you is to answer the following questions. These may be good to apply to other items and practices, too.
Is the plant native to an area of land that is or once was primarily populated by indigenous people(s), or by a cultural group with a history of oppression by external groups?
Is the plant extremely/famously culturally significant to the people stewarding it?
Would it be of detriment to the people of that culture, or the culture itself, if you also used it?
Are you able to use it in the appropriate cultural context?
Have the people of that culture suffered in the past because of the use of that plant by external groups, or by your specific culture/background?
Is the plant endangered?
Not all of these need to be a yes for the plant to be a closed plant. Really, even if you only said yes to two the odds are solid you shouldn't be using it - but you need to factor the necessary nuance.
Below the cut: examples, definitions of closed practices and cultural appropriation, appropriate cultural context, usage dependent appropriation.
EXAMPLES: ---------

Now I can imagine some people upon hearing this will be shocked at how many plants this suddenly rules out. "By this logic, cinnamon is closed too!" And to that I say: there is nothing wrong with that. This leads us into our next topic:
Culturally Appropriate Usage
I can make many arguments for why cinnamon might be closed to certain people, especially Northwestern Europeans. You mean to tell me you use a spice that was a direct reason for age-long exploitation of a giant nation, millions of deaths, slave trading, etc... for prosperity magic, as an English person? That's sounding pretty crazy to me. I am not afraid to point out the flaws in using plants from wildly different parts of the world and wildly different cultures than your own in magic, and this is one of them. What's more is that your local environment probably already has plants or materials that have been associated with prosperity or money *without* slave trade involved, and in learning them and to love them you are contributing to cultural and environmental preservation. (See my post about connecting with local flora). Cinnamon only serves as an example here. There are many plants that may only be closed in certain circumstances, to certain people(s), et cetera. And there are many ways to use plants in both culturally appropriate and inappropriate ways. One situation that is always appropriate is if you were invited by the people of that culture to use their closed plant alongside them, with their guidance. It is also appropriate to use a plant very culturally significant to others if you are able to respect the cultural value, cosmology, traditional way of using, and goals of a plant while using it - you can copy the entire ritual and associated beliefs without doing harm to the original culture. In turn, if you cannot do that, even if your people are not a (historical) oppressor to the culture the plant is native to, consider whether it is really appropriate for you to apply, and if there's something closer to home that serves the same purpose. Also note that if your motivations for wanting to participate in something is that it feels more beautiful, mystical, spiritual, or something else in that vein, that is usually fetishization.
Definition of a 'Closed' Plant, Appropriation
A closed item, practice, etc, is defined as something unique to one cultural/ethnic/racial group and cannot be practised by people outside of the group. You must either be born into the group or initiated into it through ritual by approved authorities. You may be invited to temporarily partake in closed practices by people formally in the group practicing it, but you do not become truly part of the practice, and your right to partake starts and ends with the invitation you received. Something can be closed to you, but not to certain other groups not part of the tradition. This usually occurs if the person wishing to partake is of a background that is associated with harm or hatred to the practicing group. This should be respected. The opposite of a closed something is an open something. Cultural appropriation is unacknowledged or inappropriate adoption of certain cultural practices, values, items, beliefs, etc into your own conduct. It is defined as inappropriate when the way you do it, or your doing it at all, brings harm to the people originally practicing. The culture and knowledge about it going lost, being irreversibly changed, being widely misunderstood, watered down or ostracized counts as harm. Contrary to popular belief, it is possible to appropriate open practices and materials.
-- I hope if nothing else this was a helpful guide for you to use as a rule of thumb. Let's all add everything we can to cultural conservation and respect, and teach kindly those who are not yet aware.

Il me manque encore tellement.

Elle me regarda sĂ©vĂšrement.  — OĂč est-ce que tu as appris ça ?  — Quoi ? — Lila...  — Tais-toi. »
