Oh boy do I have news for you…
So are we just leaving Jekyll tied to the chair???
(More talking under the cut)
ANYWAYS ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE
Lanyon not being able to belive at all that Jekyll and Hyde are the same person is perfect. I personally adore the fact that that he couldn’t find it in himself to think that Jekyll, one of Londons FINEST gentleman, and HIS best friend is the culprit for his own situation.
Because I think anyone else would have reacted the same way. Nobody wants to belive it could be a loved one’s fault for the situation they are in, especially one as severere as the situation Jekyll is in.
Lanyon does not have it in him to belive that Jekyll could possibly have done this. He KNOWS it had to have been one of those cooky, eccentric, mad science lodgers..
Right?
Right??
Well, little does he know he’s gonna have a hard pill to swallow :)
Jekyll did this to himself!! And Lanyon, despite telling his beloved Henry to let him know if he “ever went to far”, will be stuck knowing that his beloved Henry did not in fact let him know, or trust him enough to. And Lanyon could do nothing to help.
The person he hates most and the person he loves most are the same person and this is a terrifying moment for him!
#Henry Jekyll is so fucked dude#I feel no sympathy for jekyll#or Hyde for that matter#HOWEVER LANYON?? I FEEL REALLY BAD FOR HIM JESUS CHRISY :(((#And I don’t even usually AGREE with Lanyon#but I feel like most people would have reacted the same way he did!!#tgs jekyll#edward hyde#henry jekyll#tgs hyde#the glass scientists#jekyll and hyde

Jekyll Jekyll Hyde from Arthur has no reason to be as good as it.
Like I can see how it is catchy because it’s a kids show so the song has to be pretty simple but like still? The background music on the Jekyll Jekyll Hyde part is really like what’s surprising to me because it just goes so hard
I mean ok, so, my friend who has never even touched anything Jekyll and Hyde, immediately was like “wait why is this kinda good”
And I mean yeah I know it practically Dosent have much to do with Jekyll and Hyde besides, you know, the transforming and the names. BUT THATS NOT THE POINT! The point is that this song from a PBS kids show and you don’t even have to have an attachment to the thing it’s based off to like it. How did they manage this???
(Also uh, I know PBS kids is like supposed to be educational, I grew up with it, and I don’t know how this is educational? Maybe encouraging people to read? Idk all I care about is that it’s good)
Guys it’s too good I’m not ok, and it’s like also a bit funny too in a way because it’s good and I just don’t understand, please my brain can’t take it and it just plays over and over it won’t leave!
#jekyll jekyll Hyde jekyll Hyde Hyde jekyll!!#god#I love it so much but it’s so stupid#I can not explain how excited I was when the friend I mentioned played it on her own terms and sang it with me#like it was so magical and just made me so happy#jekyll and hyde#jekyll jekyll Hyde#henry jekyll#edward hyde#I do not know what the dude from Arthur’s name is#I didn’t watch Arthur I watched dinosaur train guys I don’t know these people#Ace rants#pbs kids#you will always hold a special place in my heart#arthur pbs#I barley knew you but you made a fucking masterpiece so props to the writers

Woke up from a comma with the dream induced mess that was Monster High but instead of being like all the characters based of the movie adaptations, it's just the monsters from the books
So, the Creature is crying the entire time because no one wants to be his friend
There's like way too many vampires, and Dracula is definitely a fuck boy; and somehow gets away with that because he's popular
Jekyll is at the school counselor because dude keeps having intrusive thoughts and is constantly on the verge of a breakdown (aka accidentally trampling people just because)
Hyde are said intrusive thoughts, and he's seen as
A. A weird Kid
And
B. The oddly quiet kid SOMETIMES, before shifting and not shutting the fuck up
Victor and West are all also there, they just applied via scholarships; Henry and Cain got there too, thanks to the other two getting a 'human' plus one, because the school wants some more "diversity" and thinks accepting a few more humans could do that
Might draw this, idk, sleep comma has ideas sometimes

LIKE SO MANY THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN THE UPTADE LIKE LIKE YOU UNDERSTAND?????????
FRANKESTEIN KNOWS ABOUT JEKYLL AND HYDE'S SECRET NOW AND SHE LIKES IT
SHE WOULD LOVE TO MAKE SO MUCH QUESTIONS AND THEY SHOULD TALK ABOUT IT BUT THEY DON'T HAVE THE TIME BECAUSE THERE IS A ANGRY MOB IN FRONT OF THE SOCIETY RIGHT NOW AND JEKYLL NEEDS TO CALM THE PEOPLE OUT THERE
BUT HE ALSO CAN'T BECAUSE OF HIS TRANSFORMATION PROBLEM WITH HYDE, LIKE, WHAT IS MY MAN GOING TO DO TO GET AWAY WITH THIS LIKE HIS CHILDHOOD IDOL JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT HIS MOST DARKEST SECRET IN A URGENCY MOMENT AND AAA
HE MAY DO A DEAL WITH HERRR??? LIKE HEAR ME OUT, JEKYLL DOING A DEAL WITH FRANKESTEIN
HE PROMISE TO TELL HER MORE ABOUT HIS EXPERIMENT WITH HYDE IF SHE AND CREATURE HELPS HIM TO GET INTO HIS OFFICE AND FIND THE FORMULA SO HE CAN CALM THE PEOPLE OUT THERE, GIVING FRANKESTEIN A EXCUSE TO KEEP STAYING IN THE SOCIETY FOR A WHILE LONG NOW
BUT THAT'S IF HENRY TAKES THE CONTROL BECAUSE IF YOU SEE THAT RIGHT THERE, THAT'S FUCKING HYDE
AND HE CAN'T DO SHIT WHEN HE IS NERVOUS OR UNDERPRESURE SO THERE IS GONNA BE FRANKESTEIN, ASKING HIM A LOT A LOT A HEEEELLLLLAAA 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 A LOT OF QUESTIONS AND MY DUDE WOULD BE JUST LIKE
HE CAN'T I CAN'T NOBODY CAN'T WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
And the worst part?
Who says Frankestein and Creature would be the only ones who find out about Jekyll's secret
MAYBE LAYNON IT'S NEXT IN THE NEXT CHAPTER
THERE IS ONLY 3 CHAPTERS LEFT BEFORE TGS ENDS
THERE IS SO LITTLE TIME.

Something I've kind of noticed about a lot of the academic scholarship I've read about Frankenstein / Dracula / Jekyll & Hyde is that everyone just seems to completely dismiss/ignore the characters as actual characters most of the time unless they're the Main Guys. Like, they'll go really in depth about Victor or the Creature's motivations and backstory and spend ages talking about Jekyll's relationship to Hyde and stuff, but the second it comes to characters like Enfield and Elizabeth or Lanyon and Clerval or frankly the Entire Rest of the Cast of Dracula, they just immediately seem uninterested. They'll just sort of vaguely gesture in their direction and go 'Oh yeah X and X thing happens to this character and here's a one sentence summary of their personality which doesn't really matter because this entire cast is interchangeable, anyway, onto the next theme' and half the time their One Sentence is just textually incorrect (looking at the New Woman/Traditional Woman descriptions of Lucy and Mina). And the reason I find this so baffling is because with other analysis I've read (e.g. Great Gatsby stuff) people seem to actually slow down and consider the characterisation and motivations of the cast as a whole with like. Nuance. Like they sit down and treat the characters as multifaceted and complex and having actual relationships with one another, and then you get to these books specifically and no one seems to care? Like they'll go really in depth with various interpretations and historical context for the Big Guys, and then never apply the same sort of examination to anyone else, and if they do, very rarely and probably only for one other character e.g. (Utterson or Mina).
If I had to posit an explanation, I would say its a combination of the archetypal nature of the title characters and the admittedly patchy writing of these books (which arguably lends to their archetypal status). I think academics kind of assume that the primary draw of these books are The Big Guys and the expansive themes and ideas they cover and that everyone else is just a pawn there to enable the narrative around the Big Guys, and the propensity for film adaptations to scrap or rewrite characters probably compounded this impression. And while I think this is at least partly true, the thing is, these characters were not always archetypal Big Guys. They originated in stories alongside *these* other characters *specifically* and it is worth asking what it is about the rest of the cast that makes the story interesting as well. Because, let's be real, if there was approximately no interest in the fucking *narrators* of Dracula, the best friends of Henry Jekyll, or the victims of the Creature, the original readers would have been completely bored out of their minds for most of these novels and public interest in them would not have been as great as it was. All of these novels were stories before they were myths, and academics should not be letting pop culture eclipse them unless they're specifically talking about the relationship between the two.
Overall, I just feel like academics are not only shooting themselves in the foot, but also doing a disservice to these stories by not bothering to investigate the other characters because frankly. It's lazy. It's lazy to dismiss an entire cast and basically skim read any sections involving them just because it's easy to focus on The One Guy. If you people really cared about themes, you'd understand that characters are inextricable from them. Like shit dude I see more care given to characters in essays about Greek tragedies, you guys are waaaay fucking behind
#also when they make character statements it's almost always about external qualities rather than internal thoughts#like in other academic literature i've read people will discusd characters narrative roles#but they'll also point at them and say 'this is x's fatal flaw' or 'y saying this reveals z about their motivations and beliefs'#basically they take a second to view things from a more watsonian perspective alongside doylist analysis#with these books it's just all doylist all the time. it's just 'author wrote U character this way because they were trying to say Q'.#and it gets quite dull. and its also quite presumptuous most of the time because like. You Don't Know Them.#Like yeah they could've been trying to say something or they could have been trying to ingratiate the audience to the character#these aren't essays guys. they're novels.#anyway rant over feel to free to tell me i'm stupid and wrong#dracula#frankenstein or the modern prometheus#dracula novel#strange case of dr jekyll and mr hyde#gothic literature

I love making morally fucked up characters, I love making mentally ill characters, I love drawing characters of different body types I love-
TW FOR EXTREMELY SKINNY DUDE WHO LOOKS A LITTLE FUCKED UP AND ALSO HAS BODY SCARS
so from left to right we have: Henry Jekyll(57), Alice Macaby(37), and Richard Montegue Renfield(29)
also here's another sketch I did of Renfield to try and emphasize how neglected this poor man is....
OH AND HERE'S HYDE, I made him fucking massive, but really he's not much taller than Jekyll...

what the hell was breakfast with hyde like
okay. it's 4am, probably closer to 5 now, and you drag him back to your sitting room. because he *totally* wailed on this kid, y'all, i swear. you're going to keep an eye on him for the next few hours. just until the banks open
sleepy hyde, nodding off in your sitting room, but he can't sleep because he's just so scared of you three. especially that doctor in the corner, holy shit that dude's out for blood. and hyde's trying so hard to play it cool (augh... my heart... poor hyde...)
is hyde trusted to sit as he is, or do you restrain him? you're no cop, and he's really not putting up a fight. and if he tried anything, there's three of you. so i guess he's fine just sitting there. i guess
are you making conversation? what is there to even say? why's this guy got a check from *doctor henry jekyll*? and a *key* to the back door of jekyll's dissecting room? he's sure not saying anything. like you try to question him but he just sits there. he doesn't like making eye contact
i'm pretty sure he's hiding his face again. do you four sleep? do you trust yourself to sleep around such a brute? do you three take shifts? does he sleep? i don't think he's asleep, he's just got his head down
so you sit there, staring at this check. it looks alright. but it's for coutt's. of course it is, it's jekyll's, supposedly. you haggard four are going to waltz into a *high end* bank with what's probably a fake check. it's a good thing you're dick fucking enfield, the man about town, or that might embarass you
eventually you have to play the good host. like. you've got these three guys, one of which you're holding prisoner. because he totally just trampled this little girl and you're holding him prisoner for $14,000 in today money. a normal amount for an incident where the girl was actually fine
yea, the physician said she was fine. but this guy's just so unsettling, he deserves it. he gave you $1,500 today's money in *gold* already, but he owes the girl the full 100 pounds. whatever. you're hungry, you're all hungry
you breakfast with him and the others. there's still another hour until the banks open. is the mood any lighter now? you sure don't forgive the little bastard. but like. he's been on good behavior. i guess. or hasn't done anything worth noting. you look around the table
okay i understand why the father's still here, he's the one who gets the money. i guess they're at your house because you're dick fucking enfield and you take charge. or your house is near coutt's. you know why you're here
but why's the physician still here? is he just that good of company, or does he just want to see this through? or does he know hyde? it's not lanyon, lanyon doesn't know hyde yet. who is this scot? *does he know hyde's identity*? the banks are open now, soon the affair will be over
you four head over to the bank. the check's good, you handed it in yourself. spot on. you take one final look at the brute. the second the banker verified the check, he turned and left. he leaves so quickly...
anyways. like, two or three years later, you're going for a walk with your cousin, as you always do. as you *always* do. you live for these walks. he seems to be absolutely going through it, but nothing keeps you two from this habit. you ask him why he's so down
and he's tells you that that guy *was* jekyll. and he's dead now. do you think of breakfast? of the key, and the door, and that girl?
do you remember him?
#im so normal about this one short story guys#32 bit shit#<- not poetry but too long to get lost#do i maintag these#tscodj&mh

Tuvok:
Ok, first off: real world standards, he's not normal passing. Apart from the ears, he's just too autistic (sorry, "Vulcan" 🙄) to be considered "normal looking". He went to 1990s earth once and Did Not Pass as normal. But in universe, he would on the surface seem like a model Vulcan. And he is, kinda. But he's also so gd weird. (/aff)
Not even gonna get into how badly he wants to be Will Graham because obviously that's there too but we don't have all day. Anyway.
Obvs the emotions struggle is real as it is for any Vulcan worth paying attention to, if only because they were all only ever written by humans.
But also, tangential to him being Will Graham coded (but still separate enough) he is a total mind slut. You know how some characters will go "when I have a problem, I set it on fire" or shit like that? When Tuvok has a problem, he mind melds with it. Homoerotically if it's an option. Dude even got a mind std one time, despite the fact that's not even a thing.
And then whatever the fuck kinda thing he has going on with Janeway. Not even necessarily in a shippy way ("not romantic, not platonic, so devoted the lines blur") but like... not only is he unreasonably loyal to her but he does shit like not only letting her touch him whenever she wants but *deliberately offering her HIS HAND to hold* to comfort her when she needs it (reminder that hand touching is very intimate to Vulcans and can be likened to human kissing) and again, they're never even stated as romantic or anything, they're just friends and yet he is more loyal to her than he is to his own code of ethics.
Obviously part of all of it could be because Janeway (or possibly Kate Mulgrew) is simply Like That, she does do shit like tell her platonic subordinate "then be a good rat and find us the cheese" in a tone that makes me lose it, but it's not all her, Tuvok is also extremely not normal about it. I should submit Janeway too actually, I'll do her next.
Also, afaik Tuvok is the only crew member of Voyager (who makes it back) who had a romantic partner before the ship got lost in the Delta quadrant and remained loyal the entire seven years they were lost. I *think* Samantha Wildman also did but she's a minor character (so she could've been getting it off screen) and she started out pregnant so once born Naomi both kept her busy and was a living reminder of her husband's love. So in that regard, Tuvok is very much not normal but like in the most positive way. He literally didn't cheat on his wife even when his life was in danger (they *were* out there for seven years so of course he hit pon farr eventually) and I think that's really cool of him. But also very not normal.
I'm very tired rn but once the polls come out, simply check out the blog of Bea bumblingbabooshka (wanna clarify, I'm not him but he is THE Tuvok blogger in my opinion) who has written much on this already.
There's also the whole stuff that happened around his monestary era but I'm not even at that part yet but it must've been wild.
Anyway. Vote Tuvok
Jekyll:
he can't remember the last time he slept. he hates himself so much he literally used mad science to create an entire ass guy to blame his problems on but accidentally made it so he can never be truly happy because uh oh! the silly magic mountain dew turned that into a man! now he can't fuck! whoa!

Asking the mod, are there any voice actors you could see dubbing the mazm guys? specifically raoul, henry, edward and alan
ohhhh my God this is such a good question. Too bad I forget like everything once im asked a singular question... But I do hear voices for MazM characters when I hear them yes yes. So sorry this is gonna be like an esoteric mix of en vas i just cannot pinpoint tones without reference...
For Raoul, I always imagine him having a sweet tenor, if I were to compare it... okay so yansim fucking sucks but as a kid I was into the genderbent ver of Amai. He seemed like such a sweet dude... that guys VA was Eric Dubyu so maybe something like that? Also-! Maybe Alex Lee in his performance as Victor Grantz IDV but less of a whispery tone(?)
For Jekyll, I always imagined a sort of airy elder voice, soooo like maybe Krishna Kumar? His performance as Night Watch in IDV but a bit more airy and deep. or MAYBE EVAN SMITH AS DARING CHARMING EAH....
For Hyde I imagined a gravelly voice, so John Swasey as Undertaker from Black Butler is the closest I can think of. This is surprisingly one of my more resonant matches lmao.
For Alan, I imagine him as again a sweet tenor, but his voice is a bit more like squeakier(?) In my mind like I can't describe it. I think if Chris Patton went a bit higher it would be like that??? But ngl I'm kinda imagining Kalim's jp va from Twisted Wonderland wwww. A squeakier Eric Dubyu would work tho
Edit: my friend said they should all be Chris Pratt

I DID IT I DESIGNED CHARACTERS!!!!!! SPECIFICALLY JEKYLL AND HYDE CHARACRERS!!!!!!!! EVERYBODY LOOK I DID IT!!!!!!!!
And now, for my thought process~
Dr Henry Jekyll: Man's is built like a fuckin TANK bro. Idk why everybody draws him as a twink he's CLEARLY meant to be MASSIVE(/pos). Anyways, as you've probably noticed, I leaned HEAVILY into the color coding for this one. I chose red for Jekyll mostly- uh, mostly just because I already associated Hyde with green and I wanted them to be complimentary colors? But also he has red character vibes in the musical to me. Probably because the poster is very red. I gave him tiny glasses cuz I thought it looked cool lol. I uh, I don't really know why he's the only character with visible pockets? I guess I just thought it looked best on his design or something. He was originally gonna have a ponytail but I thought it made him look to much like he was from the American Revolution so I changed it to the shorter, poofier style shown in the picture. Also his vest was originally brown but I decided I wanted more red in his design so I changed it.
Gabriel John Utterson: SQUARE. SQUARE SHAPED MAN. He's repeatedly described as like the most boring man alive so I decided to reflect that in his design by making him really rigid and almost statue-like. Hence all the grays. I wanted to add a dash of color though, so I gave him a blue tie(also the strappy thingy around his hat is blue but that isn't visible here). He's also super pale to go with the cold/stoney vibe of the rest of his color scheme.
Dr Hastie Lanyon: God this one took me FOREVER to figure out omfg. I didn't have a very good idea of what he looked like while reading the novel and until I started actually searching for them I didn't see very many fan designs for him. All I knew is I wanted him to wear yellow bcuz primary color trios RULE. But theeeeeen I started looking up other peoples designs, and picked out a couple of contants I liked (ex; short, dark skin, gray streaks), then boom! I knew what I wanted to do! Anyways yeah, once I had an idea I just went for it and uh, I dont have much else to say :)
Edit: WAIT SHIT I FORGOT LANYON HAS LIKE A MASSIVE WHITE STREAK IN HIS HAIR OMFG-
Edit 2 Electric Boogaloo: Okay so my Lanyon design was driving me SO crazy I felt the need to update the ref, so now he's a little taller and has the afformentioned white streak aornfoemdk
Edward Hyde: Fun fact, Hyde was originally going to be 4'6, but I just kept making him shorter and shorter until he lost the 6 inches entirely lol. The only description we got of Hyde in the book was that he was small, hairy and had an "unexpressed deformity", so I guess I just took that to mean he is a Creature and ran with it lmao. I made him SUPER pointy, just the sharpest man. Mostly to contrast with the round shapes of Jekyll, but also he's kinda just that kinda dude, y'know? I also made sure his silhouette was super uneven, in contrast to all of the classy characters have(mostly) symmetrical silhouettes. OBVIOUSLY he needed to have a cloak and top hat, because really, what Hyde design is complete without a cloak and top hat? There are 3 reasons I decided to make his color green: 1; the potion Jekyll uses to become Hyde is green. 2; Green, at least in my mind, means sick, and Hyde is supposed to look sickly and unpleasant. And 3; The Ghost of Mr Hyde from Scooby Doo is green and he was the first version of the character I ever saw, so I've kinda just associated him with it ever since. Speaking of the Ghost of Mr Hyde, the mud on his shoes is actually an homage to that episode! I tried to get the color as close to the weird, off redish the mud on Dr Jekyll's shoes was in that episode. Why? Because Scooby Doo my beloved <3. Also since this section is already so fucking long, the reason he has that silver tooth is because the original got knocked out in a fight. In this version, Hyde's injuries do NOT carry over to Jekyll, and vice versa, so he needs to take out the tooth before he transforms back and put it back in when he's Hyde again. Idk why I put the most thought into Hyde's design but whatever-
So yeah! Those are my designs and the thoughts behind them! Hope yall like em :)

TGS Page spoilers September 23 2024!!!!
Alright it’s time to analyze this. Robert Lanyon you are so Landone because I am picking apart your little speech right here right now
This is LOOOOONG so there WILL be a TLDR at the end!!
“Nothing but a line from a stupid play.”
“What?”
“What does all this rogue science business get you, in the end? Sure you get the odd novelty - - an invisible cat, a hot air balloon or two. But in return it tears your life apart.” - This is Lanyon mainly speaking on how he sees everything and what he’s observed yet again. All he’s heard about rogue science was confirmed to be true, Henry’s promise of telling him if he ever went to far is broken. He’s not going to trust anything ANY rogue scientist says at ALL this time. He’s not even gonna give them a chance. His point of view and opinion had suddenly (probably) solidified and likely won’t be changed, easily at least.
“The signs were there, looking back. It was so obvious that Henry was slipping away.”
Lanyon CALLS HIM OUT. Like. Dude. Buddy. It WAS obvious, but only to someone who could have KNOWN what was happening.
“And I helped him.”
Lanyon believes he helped make this all happen. And that by proxy, Henry’s condition is HIS fault, at least partially. As much as he seems weirdly calmly angry, he’s masking it in order to seem like he’s not sad.
“I brought people from all over London to see this place, to sell them this beautiful lie.”
Again he blames himself, and shifts some of it onto the lodgers.
“It would have been better if you’d destroyed this place. If you had, I might have been able to rescue Henry from himself.”
Lanyon stating he belives the society should have been destroyed. Gone. That it was an utter mistake involving himself (and Henry, even if it was Henry’s own choice, and HE chose before Lanyon did) In this whole thing.
“But now he’s possessed by a demon, or whatever the hell Hyde is.”
Actually? Good point, Lanyon! We don’t know for SURE what TGS Hyde is. Sure we have a general idea, but we’ve never been told in specifics and had it verbally confirmed.
TLDR;
Lanyon masks his blame and sadness with a facade of just playing up the pre-existing anger. He doesn’t think Henry could have done this on his own and that the society and the support it got from Lanyon and a little bit the lodgers was what pushed Henry to do this to himself. He states what we’re questioning, ‘what is Edward Hyde, really?’ Because we’ve never got a confirmed awnser from anyone in story, have we now?
AND FINALLY; A THEORY.
I think that he’s going to up and walk away. Any previous statements I’ve made in like,, Lodger Lounge or other servers ABOUT Lanyon dying? IGNORE THOSE I DONT THINK THAT ANY MORE. I think we’re gonna get some in depth emotions for Lanyon, which is unusual because like,, it’s Lanyon he is NOT getting caught openly expressing that shit. I think we’re gonna get a much deeper understanding of Robert ‘not my problem is my middle fucking name’ Lanyon!! That’s my prediction.
Anyways, making analysis of these guys my new job if anybody wants a character analysis (at least from my pov having a 100% in my English class as of now. Yes. That’s literally my ONLY qualification besides being the author of a fic that puts TGS Jekyll’s struggles into perspective.) just hand em over I don’t care. So long as it’s TGS? I’ll analyze it just give me a segment I don’t care, fanfic that’s deep and analyzesble? I’ll do it? A specific page or collection/progression of dialogue? I’ll do it. HAND IT OVER.
#yes I did spend almost 45 minutes on this. help mes#the glasss scientists#tgs robert lanyon#robert lanyon#jekyll and hyde#character analysis

TODAY'S TGS UPTADE ✨
Okay, so... I can't lie, watching Jekyll being a chaotic bastard it's the hottest thing I ever seen
Of course Hyde it's the one controling the body here, but also their are the same person
Something that Jekyll forgot
This whole scenario would be terrifying if Hyde wasn't part of Jekyll.
So, reading Hyde's words we can realise that he didn't feel all the action from last night, so of course, with now Jekyll getting his feelings of love back, Hyde gets the extreme of them; Lust towards Laynon... Or at least he acts like that, but only to piss off Jekyll in this page (I mean that Hyde is in love too). So of course he would want to get something private and deep with him
And then we have the other side. Jekyll is scare like if Hyde could actually STEAL Robert from him, which it's kinda sussy that Henry talks about Laynon like something of his, that he owns, at least to Hyde (I think my man still has some 🚩🚩🚩 to fix)
And also Jekyll being a hyprocite because he talks about Hyde as if they didn't came from the same mind and soul and talks about Hyde's flaws like if that was all he is. But Hyde belives that Laynon will like him too for who he is as his own without Henry, and also asking to Jekyll about his own flaws. Edward it's clearly using this to make Jekyll feel bad and think that Hyde it's better than him.
He just casually talk to himself out loud while doing shit with people. Love it
Hyde, Hyde, the cop it's watching, Hyde, Hyde Oh my god he can't hear us my boy it's going to PRI--
Just kidding, I wonder how this is gonna turn now. Will Hyde be able to convince the cop to not arrest him? Would he run away and fix it later? Would he go to prision? Who knows!
Now, after what we saw in this new page... I have a question:
It's Hyde evil?
Hyde stole a umbrella to a lady that was just walking, kick some kid's ball when the little one was about to cach it, and just grab a cup
In the begining of the comic Hyde made some mess up things that werent actually meant with evil
He gladly stab someone with a umbrella, but it was to save Creature from being burn alive
Then he set the street on fire, it was a accident and he didn't even expect it to happend but he looks proud of it and even laughs
Of course, the next day he realised he fuck up but dosen't like to admit it every much. He it's emotional, and has exciment when he see chaos, but at the same time he knows that theres limits
Then, talking about Jekyll "betraying" him with the officer. Hyde put him killing a random dude like a example of how even with that Jekyll wouldn't be able to bring Hyde to the law
And the most recent one was Hyde actually hurting a man in the face, actually enjoy it
But the thing it's that the comic itself tells us that Hyde isn't exactily the evil inside Jekyll. The whole freaking chapter 10 it's a non stop show to gaslight and mocking at Hyde and all his idea of who he was
So, Hyde it's not evil? He wants to be, and his actions brings chaos but not that harmful, except the time he burned the street but that was not intentional
But then if he is not the evil? Why he wants to be evil? Because Hyde it's in a constant searching for power, in this page he acts smug while bothering the people around him, and also thinks about taking Laynon too so he can feel powerful over Jekyll again. If Hyde dosen't feel powerful he would literally fall deep down to the darkness of his own mind, but if he can ruin someone else by doing that, then he will take it. Hyde himself said it in chapter 12 "I will take Jekyll down with me!" The right moment he is told about that chance to ruin Henry, even if it was forever
Hyde finds comfort of being the evil twin because that's the only way he knows to feel the senses of control while feeding his constant hunger for acction and passion on his life, and that actually worked it for two whole years, until Henry puts him a stop for just two weeks. If only Hyde waited, he could had his delusional life back but he didn't, and now him and Jekyll will going down together
Because they keep forgeting that they are in the same boat.

I feel the ancient need to pull this apart below the cut:
Doof will probably do you pretty good, though I'm not sure how proficient he is in actual surgery, mechanics and robotics seems to be more his forte.
Herbert West is an H.P. Lovecraft character so he's probably transphobic, don't trust this bitch.
Jared is gonna fuck you right up. Your titties are getting removed (or added) but you're also getting a third arm and like two spines.
Dr. Octavius is probably the most solid option on here. Not only was he a trusted doctor, but he focused in body modification and prothesis for differently abled people, top surgery would be old hat to him.
Henry Jekyll is also fucking you up, but on accident this time. Dude doesn't have a good history.
Why the fuck is Carlisle Cullen even on here.
Victor Frankenstein is probably a safe play, we know this dude knows his way around bodies and...altering them. Though the dude's a little flighty. Does he still have a liscense? WRONG. DR. BUNSEN HONEYDEW IS THE WRONG OPTION. I don't care how much you love the Muppets, or trust his sweet little pea green smile, if you get down on his medical table you are either blowing up, turning into a rat, or waking up with Beaker as your titties.
I assume this is the Borderlands Dr. Zed? Admittedly theres a few of them, so I'm gonna go with what google turns up first. In that case, we know he's capable of working in rough conditions, so I think a top surgery would admittedly be pretty easy work for a guy like this, just dont expect it to be pretty.

one of my biggest peeves with monster high fans is how jackson and holt are handled a lot of the time. like, one of my TOP headcanons is that they are transmasc, BUT there are people who make it so only JACKSON is and holt is fully cis?? because jackson is their ”uwu im a skinny little boye” man (which is another rant i could give) while holt is their bad boy popular dude who CLEARLY is an asshole and can’t POSSIBLY be trans (again, a rant i have) but like… how??? does that work???? when they switch is there smth like the sound of a balloon blowing up or a slide whistle?????
second, when artists tend to draw jackson as this skinny small twink bitch and holt as this massive chad of a man with muscles and height and shit, when 1. they’d have the same body type—it’s one body, and the shape of their body would be the same and 2. though the SHAPE stays the same, HOLT would be noticeably shorter. classic hyde is short as FUCK and looks so weird and doesnt even fit into jekyll’s clothes (and jackson/holt vs henry/edward is something else i could go ON about)
THIRD, i think i WILL say smth about what i mentioned in part one. how people make jackson the skinny scrawny cant possibly hold his own type of guy!!! this is less in art and more of in fanfiction, but still something i wanna say. a lot of people when WRITING jackson tend to uwuify or kinda infantilize him, making him very nervous around people or constant stuttering (i do hc he has a stutter but not to the extent people will write him) and very ”idk how to talk to anyone!!” when in the monster high show he is one of the SMOOTHEST motherfuckers ive seen (“i dont care who’s here, as long as i get to sit next to you” is one of his best lines tbh) and in the movies he actually stands UP for himself, meanwhile holt is a MASSIVE asshole who says slurs and does some borderline sketchy stuff (and then there are the times where theyre shipped together and/or weirdly sexualized but im not getting into THAT.) when in canon… holt’s one of the most funky ass little man ever. hes depressed as fuck in his diary. he has aggression problems but tries to work on them and just wants to give people a good time. and imo JACKSON’S more athletic than he is
i know everyone has their headcanons and im in no way saying you cant have them but these are my opinions on how theyre generally portrayed in fandom

Any funny Jekyllstein moments in JD canon? 👀
KLQ I need you to understand that EVERYTHING that has to do with them is hysterical
They met because Poole found Liam sopping wet at their doorstep out in the rain one night carrying a bundled up (VERY SICK) Victor. Imagine having to tell people that you met the love of your life because you needed to nurse him back to health.
I think it’s also funny that Victor became infatuated with Jekyll THE MOMENT HE SAW HIM and went “I need to impress this Englishman soo fucking bad”
Right. About that. Jekyll thought Victor was a legitimate doctor for two whole months before Victor came clean about being an expelled Ingolstadt student. They argue about this constantly.
RIGHT VICTOR LITERALLY HELPED JEKYLL CREATE BOTH HJ SERUMS?!?!? HE ENDORSED THE BEHAVIOR.
Victor will literally sleep through Jekyll/Hyde’s night transformations. He does not notice them. He will go honk shoo honk shoo while the other writhes around in agony next to him.
“Victor, Victor my spine is so dislocated right now. You need to squeeze me so hard that I pop.” “Edward I don’t want to do that.” “But you have to.”
Victor will call Jekyll/Hyde things like “handsome” and “gorgeous”. Jekyll/Hyde calls him things like “wanker (affectionate)”
ME AND THE LOVE OF MY LIFE IN THE LABORATORY CREATING TOXINS TOGETHER GRAAAHHHHHH 💪💪💪🔥🔥🔥🔥
They only end up working as Juliette and Elizabeth’s forensic assistants because they didn’t want to go to jail 😭😭😭
Ok this isn’t FUNNY funny but Victor just subconsciously kisses the left cheek when it’s Jekyll and the right cheek when it’s Hyde. Do not worry about it.
Victor ALSO never had a stage where he, like?? Couldn’t perceive Hyde’s face? Like he always looked like a normal dude to him (this is because Victor was well aware of Jekyll’s mania and how to help him get through it long before Hyde’s creation. This logic DOES ALSO apply to Poole but this isn’t about him).
Their 8 foot tall corpse son has more common sense than they do, which says so much.
THEY NEED TO BE TOUCHING EACH OTHER ALL THE DAMN TIME. They need to be STANDING NEXT TO EACH OTHER or they will COMBUST.
Victor having to pretend he’s in a polyamorous relationship with two different guys when he actually just has one lover with super deranged anatomy.
Penny sees them as her cool uncles 💔
That one time Jekyll had to scream at Victor to get down from the roof was fun (Victor literally just wanted to get a good view of London and he is insane).
“Henry the love of my life did you know that you can eat moss. Do you want me to show you."
yeah.
EDIT OH MY GOD RIGHT HYDE CAN LIFT VICTOR UP DESPITE BEING SO SHORT I FUCKING FORGOT
