this is one of those fic ideas i wanted to write for every ship i've ever been into so it will probably never happen but i'd like to have a silly story with 40 yo, single, lonely tommy kinard who's been down on his luck all his life - like i'm talking ridiculous levels of mom dying at childbirth, dad being terrible, horrifically unfortunate experience of the military, a series of failed jobs, a series of failed relationships, friendships never sticking for long, risks he takes always going south, somehow getting paper cuts through chainmail gloves, missing the bus while trying to avoid his daily encounter with the neighbor's dog etc. - one day opening the door of his downtrodden studio apartment to this beautiful man who stands there like a fucking angel. who looks at tommy with big apologetic eyes, red cheeks of shame, and twiddling thumbs of guilt and stutters, "so, uhm, i wish you didn't have to learn it this way but hi, i'm the guardian angel who, as it turns out, misplaced your files about four decades ago, and so uhm it just resurfaced, haha, and like yeah, i've been banished here for penance. i'll take the couch, it's fine."

Tim has no idea whether to laugh or cry. Bruce sends him away from Gotham to stay safe from Red Hood, yet who is standing there, in the Titan Tower, but the man himself. And if he was attacking or something then fine, he could deal with it. But no, the man is standing there, in the kitchen, cooking like it’s an everyday thing. Like sure he’s cooking angrily and Tim swears he can see some sort of eye glow in the helmet, but it’s not like he’s actually threatening any of them?? The literal crime lord has been hissing about them not having any food and being out of medical supplies and who decided to leave a bunch of teens alone to take care of themselves. Which. Rude, he’s been taking care of himself for years, and both Raven and Beast Boy have too! What type of scheme is this?!

Jason was going to go through with his attack on the Tower, he really was. But seriously, they didn’t even have any medical supplies, their cupboards were practically empty of food, and they didn’t even have any cleaning supplies. For fuck’s sake he’d gotten in so easily and it was a giant tower shaped like a T- everyone knew where it was! Honestly it’s not his fault the pit rage went from being pissed to the literal child- which uh, huh he’ll have to freak out about that later- to raging about how he took better care of the alley kids than the heroes were taking care of their kids so guess whose going to have to fucking step up!

speaking of stiles stilinski, the way the entire fandom like. warped his character completely for so many years is still one of my favorite talking points because what do you MEAN pack mother. what do you mean he’s this selfless hero who would sacrifice himself for his supernatural found family…???????????? girl. 90% of the characters we’ve met he’s either distrusted and theorized as killers (most of the time being right to some length but that’s beyond the point) like a cat who hisses when their owners friends come over, and the other half he’s like. made multiple comments about wanting to kill or been. unnecessarily catty to. like . that motherfucker CRAVES violence. the entire show would’ve been completely fucking different if he was the main character. why did the fandom take these things from him when they make him SO interesting

maybe im a hater but calling the lesbian relationship "a gay ship for straights" while calling a non canon mlm relationship "a gay ship for gays" genuinely pisses me off so bad like how the hell is a relationship between two Black lesbians, one of which is masc, for straight people. like, honestly if we're gonna play that game, straight women fetishize Buck and Eddies relationship way more, it's way more popular with straight audiences, while Hen and Karen's storylines get ignored by straight fans AND gay fans. like Christ just say you people do not care about lesbians or female characters one fucking bit

since this post is doing the rounds again, i want to take a moment to remind everyone that saving lbh from the bullying disciples, saving lqg's life, almost sacrificing himself to protect the sect during the demon invasion, are things that sqq does without any ulterior motives. if he wanted to capitalize on his good deed, he would have revealed himself after protecting lbh. when he meets lqg in the lingxi caves, it surprises him to see him there, and it's after he's already rescued lqg from a qi deviation that it occurs to him that "hmmm, this is a good ally to have, just in case". and during the demon invasion, after getting poisoned, he was ready to self-detonate so that he could take out sha hualing.

like, yeah, sy!sqq is smart and cares about his own survival-- but he's also a big softie that can't stand seeing people hurt and do nothing

911 has somehow managed to give us 15 continuous episodes with hen and karen and buck and tommy and josh and the only time any of these characters have had an interaction, however insignificant — outside of their own relationships — was josh's speech to buck in 8x06 and the deleted tommy and henren scene from 7x09. like when's the last time buck and hen had a real conversation. about anything. s6? but like your bestie comes out in a hospital room with soot on his face and you and your wife have a giggle about it AND THAT'S IT?! okay, s7 was a rush job on all fronts. but now buck is going through the worst heartbreak of his life and he's still not allowed to talk to his lesbian friend about it? hen has nothing to say about tommy? or to him? even if they don't show the scene because [insert logistics reasons here] and she mentions it in conversation, you know.

i mean is it just me or are the writers treating their queer characters like tokens.

there are so many fandom ships that i want, so 911 is one of the very few times i don't want it because i think buck and tommy are really good together.

now i also get bashing a character that you don't like, especially when they're trash...but goddammit some of yall are so fucking nasty to tommy and he didn't do shit 😭😭😭
