So I've got two versions of an idea I'm messing around with and I can't decide what I want to write first. Either my OC transmigrates into Qiu Haitang, or Shen Yuan does. With Shen Yuan, I have a better idea of how the story would end but my OC could explore other themes. My OC really doesn't give a shit about Luo Binghe so I've got plenty of scene ideas for her but no clue what direction to take the story in. In either case I think someone transmigrating into QHT would be really interesting. Even with a strict system she could really throw a spanner into the plot of PIDW. What do you think?

give your characters exes.

give them a variety of exes. give them relationships that shaped who they are but did not last. give them people they tried very hard to love but it didn't work out. give them situationships that taught them things. give them something deep that was real but could not endure. things that hurt. things that ended amicably. people with whom hot passion cooled to warm affection and became undying friendship.

no more first and only. give me the context of what made them know the next or one after was final and right.

are we ever going to discuss the misconception that shen yuan/shen qingqiu is a lazy good for nothing?

because he is not. not really, with the exception liking to sleep late, and that doesn't count. he's always doing something, even if it's just reading a billion long novel(s), scouring the forums and typing long-ass detailed comments, being a big enough fan/hater everyone knows him; everyone knows fandom takes dedication. and then as sqq he's either trying to master his new powers, figuring out how things work in the new world he transmigrated into, teaching his disciples, visiting his sect siblings, teaching luo binghe, night hunting, reading, traveling

even post endless abyss it's said he spent most of his time out of the peak. he literally can't sit still doing nothing– unlike the original sqq, who would stay in his rooms all day, he wanted to go out to explore the city during the skinner's investigation.

this is just one of those things that he lies about– he tells us he's lazy because that's what he thinks of himself, but he really is not

Do you think we'd get a blackened binghe even if qijiu reconciled or never had their misunderstanding in the first place? I think we could. I love qijiu and i love when they stand together but it doesn't fix everything. (Also i want to see xuan su vs xin mo fight if i were a pidw reader i'd feel so ripped off)

it's like if we wondered if sj would be the same person without qjl's abuse. we know the kind of child he was pre-qiu mansion; he wouldn't be all nice and bubbly, but he also wouldn't have become the abusive qing jing peak lord. it's the same for binghe; even if he hadn't gone to qjp, he'd still be someone who "fought over every scrap" and an eye for an eye mentality. but he wouldn't have become an abusive overlord, i think. let's say he'd be a gray lotus instead of a black lotus.
