was gonna send this to one of the incorrect quotes but honestly it’s long so I’ll have it as a general post, based on that one scene from Family Guy
*During The Lost Heir, while Tsunami is still solo*
Glory: Well, while we’re in here, and since we might all meet our watery demise, I have a confession to make…
I did not care for the missing princess
Clay: What?
Glory: Did not care for The Missing Princes.
Sunny: How can you even say that, Glory?
Glory: Didn't like it.
Clay: Glory, it's so good! It's like the perfect book!
Glory: Y’know that’s what Tsunami said when I told her this. Whenever they say-
Sunny: The emotional opening, the hilarious relief, I mean, you never see-
THE CELEBRATION
Glory: Fine. Fine. Great Parts, did not like the story.
Starflight: Why not?
Glory: Did not...couldn't get into it.
Clay: Explain yourself. What didn't you like about it?
Glory: It insists upon itself, Clay.
Clay: What?
Glory: It insists upon itself.
Clay: What does that even mean?
Sunny: BECAUSE IT HAS A VALID POINT TO MAKE, ITS INSISTED
Glory: It takes forever getting in; you spend like 12 and a half chapters... You know, I can't get through, I've never even finished the book. I've never finished the ending.
Sunny: YOUVE NEVER FINISHED THE ENDING?!?
Starflight: How can you say you don't like it if you haven't even given it a chance?
Clay: I agree with Starflight. It's not really fair.
Sunny: It's insane.
Glory: I have tried on three separate occasions to get through it, and I get to the chapter where all the royals are sitting around on the rocks.
Clay: Yeah, it's a great scene. I love that scene.
Glory: I have no idea what they're talking about. they’re just flashing their wings like some night lights…It's like they're speaking a different... You know, that's where I lose interest in it.
Clay: You know what, Glory?
Sunny: THEY ARE SPEAKING AQUATIC YOU EMERALD GREEN DUMBASS
Clay: The language they're speaking is a language of subtlety; it's something you don't understand.
Glory: I love The Muddy Pit. That is my answer to that statement.
Clay: Exactly.
Glory: Well, there you go.
Clay: Whatever.
Sunny: I actually like that story, too.

The moment Aelin, Rowan, and we – the audience/heathens – realized we were both uncomfy, intrigued, and titilated by the biting scene was an important moment for the culture.
I didn't realize how much I’d been missing my #1 grumpy bird boy.

There was nothing that could be done to fix her.
And she was ... she was ...
A whimpering noise came out of her, lips trembling so hard she had to clamp down to keep the sound inside.
But the sound was in her throat and her lungs and her mouth, and when she took a breath, it cracked out. Once she heard it, everything came spilling into the world, until her body ached with the force of it.
She vaguely felt the light shifting on the lake.
Vaguely felt the sighing wind, warm as it brushed against her damp cheeks. And heard, so soft it was as if she dreamed it, a woman's voice whispering, Why are you crying, Fireheart?
It had been ten years--ten long years since she had heard her mother's voice. But she heard it then over the force of her weeping, as clear as if she knelt beside her. Fireheart--why do you cry?
"Because I am lost," she whispered onto the earth. "And I do not know the way."
It was what she had never been able to tell Nehemia--that for ten years, she had been unsure how to find the way home, because there was no home left.
Storm winds and ice crackled against her skin before she registered Rowan sitting down beside her, legs out, palms braced behind him in the moss. She raised her head, but didn't bother to wipe her face as she stared across the glittering lake.
"You want to talk about it?" he asked.
"No." Swallowing a few times, she yanked a handkerchief from her pocket and blew her nose, her head clearing with each breath.
They sat in silence, no sound but the quiet lapping of the lake on the mossy bank and the wind in the leaves. Then-- "Good. Because we're going."
Bastard. She called him as much, and then asked, "Going where?" He smiled grimly. "I think l've started to figure you out, Aelin Galathynius."

“though much weakened by his ordeal, king viserys soon resumed the rule. to celebrate his recovery, a feast was held on the first day of 127 AC. the princess and the queen were both commanded to attend, with all their children.”
“still later, the fool reports, aegon the elder took offense when jacaerys asked his wife, helaena, for a dance. angry words were exchanged, and the two princes might have come to blows if not for the intervention of the kingsguard. whether king viserys was ever informed of these incidents we do not know, but princess rhaenyra and her sons returned to their own seat on dragonstone the next morning.”

rewatched star wars ep 1 recently (i have many Many things to say but that’ll come in another post) and i’ve concluded that part of the reason (there are many, mostly relating to pacing, world building and general quality) the new live action properties suck is that there’s a significant loss in the weight to their fight choreography. and i don’t mean that in like an plot relevant sense (altho that is also true) i mean the choreography LITERALLY looks less weighty, like it kinda seems like everyone is just a step too slow in everything and taking a couple too many breaths. the blade crossings don’t have as much of an impact. while that is to be expected w Sabine as a padawan it is very much NOT what i would expect from Shin OR the other guy Ahsoka kills OR Ahsoka herself, esp when compared to like Anakin in episodes 2/3 or Obi-Win thru out
the change really stuck out to me in episode 4 and it just makes the whole thing feel less like star wars and less weighty and it does the cast itself an injustice. i actually think the casting is really well done (natasha liu bordizzo <3) but the literal Everything Else ab Ahsoka in particular is disappointing

Find the Word Tag
Thanks for the tag, @verkja! I'm so sorry it took me so long to fill this😅 My words were Paper, Hide, Glare, and Open and I chose to use Fire & Flight to fill these, which was a lot of fun because these words brought me to scenes I otherwise overlook when I think about it😜
I'm going to leave an open tag for this with the words: Thing, Cut, Close, and Sunlight. Have fun!
Paper
The road to Fortune Falls was a tricky one. For all anybody knew, it was different and changed each time someone traveled there. With so much she didn’t know and couldn’t be certain of, Nyla grasped at what remained of her fragile faith. This was the first and only indication Xander had ever given her that he wasn’t certain. They were both fools for believing in a piece of paper or, in her case especially, for believing in their instincts to guide them to such a mythical place. Her eyes studied the sapphire-slowly-shifting-to-indigo foliage around them, so different from the forest they’d just trekked through. The leaves above their heads rustled in the gentle breeze. When her eyes fell back to the grass below, a trail of gray smoke caught her eye on the opposite side of the glade.
Hide
With a wide-eyed glance over her shoulder, Nyla’s lips quivered at how wild the plant life was. Their leaves danced and wobbled, as if the plants themselves could tremble in fear. And who knew? Maybe they could. After all, the Shadow Forest was alive in more ways than one, a fact that sometimes haunted Nyla’s nightmares. The shadows provided a place for her to hide but also for other things, dangerous things, to lurk. And as if to show how meek and powerless she was, her own legs trembled, from fear, from desperation, from the tremors that rumbled over the earth and toyed with her balance.
Glare
Behind him, Dia squawked, evidently woken up by the paper slapping shut. Cedric turned simmering eyes on the bird, who ruffled his feathers and returned a well-matched glare of disapproval.
“I envy you,” Cedric said quietly. The gleam in Dia’s eyes softened, becoming curious. “You could fly away, never to be bothered by manifestations of your own guilt or nightmares or years of—of doing nothing.”
Open
And now, when that final burst of scarlet and lilac magic collided with a thunderous rumble and that terrified shriek pierced the air, Xander fell to his knees. Every ounce of willpower was aimed at waking up, at fighting the nightmare’s hold on him. He didn’t want to know. He couldn’t bear to know what happened next. Xander had never gotten to the end of the dream, and tonight was no exception as his eyes popped open at once. A cold sweat dotted his forehead.

rewatching episode three, and when viserys talks about having a dream when rhaenyra was born, of “a male babe […] wearing the conquerer’s crown” i wonder if he might actually have had some real premonition, because helaena has some amount of prophecy, and while aegon was named for the conquerer, i wonder what aemond will do now his power is basically absolute
