Some doodles of what I imagine the dragonets of destiny look like.

design notes:

Starflight: normally i headcanon night wings have bright star patterns on them but because Starflight grew up without moonlight I image he remained very dark and plain.

Tsunami: dark teeth mainly because I think it looks cool. I gave her pearls! I like the juxtaposition of her tomboyish and rugged appearance with very dainty jewelry (she’s my favorite design)

Sunny: I wanted her to have some subtle nightwing features. Mainly her fleshy nose that while resembling a nightwings could be brushed off as a weird mutation of a nose horn. That’s also why I gave her dark brown freckles, chunky horns, and light scales down her neck. They could all pass as variants a sandwing could have but together they make her look a bit off.

Glory: I struggle with her color palette so much but I really like what I finally settled on. I also think her horns look cool.

Clay: nothing of note really. I gave him some whiskers for fun and decided he needed pierced ears.

Starflight:Y’know, while I am happy for the gals, I kinda wish we could have a taste of the royalty. Like, if we could clap our hands and someone would bring us a lemon meringue pie

Clay:Oh I got ya bro!(pulls out a perfectly good Lemon Meringue Pie)

Starflight, smelling it:wow thank you, um, how am I supposed to cut this?

Clay:(pulls out a pie cutter) Here ya go! One Diamond Encrusted pie slicer!

This was made about a month ago and forgot to post it. I probably going to remake it some time later because there’s some things I don’t like. Since Starflight was based off a little brown bat and the wings have constellations. (Woah)

His fur boldens at his torso, dark cray, but other than that, his main fur is dark gray, with his paws and under belly being normal gray. He has large green eyes covered by giant purple glasses that are connected to his ears. His ears are several shades of purple and an earring dangling down it. The earring is bright gold chain ending in a small blue star. His horns are dark blue. His wing colors go in gradient going up to down, dark cyan, dark purple, and normal cyan blue. His wings have bright yellow constellations and stars, the constellations is what seems to resembles the Big Dipper and the North Star.

Starflight and Clay (both from Wings of Fire) are both disabled- Starflight is blind (canon!) and Clay uses a leg brace (semi-headcanon: he canonically has a limp in his hindleg but I imagine he gets a brace for it later)

Also they're brothers! Requested them together because I like their familial relationship :)

i've always struggled with drawing nightwings for some reason, so if these look wonky i'm sorry 😭 (they're literally like. my 3rd favorite pyrrhian tribe but i can't draw them for the life of me)

i was gonna do only arc 1 characters but i kinda gave up on that so

i meant to make a version of starflight with the burn scars but i forgor 😭😭

Morrowseer being red-ish just makes sense to me, Stonemover is described as being similar to the desert night sky or something so he's more yellow/brown toned
