need a scene change in season five where percy asks for kiss because it's kind of a tradition. but instead of annabeth not looking at him. she stops what she's doing and walks up to him. they're nose-to-nose. staring at each other. and annabeth almost looks aggravated. until she tells him to come back alive and he'll see. and percy stares deep into her eyes just nods. and then they part ways. and immediately start kicking ass on opposite ends of the battlefield. and the remaining campers are stunned. but quickly gather themselves to exchange drachma before fighting because they placed a bet on whether or not these two have kissed yet. and apparently.

the coolest kids in forgotten valley!!☆
(…it seems there may have been a stretch of time where rock and lumina were the only kids in forgotten valley…🥲)
poseref
#in the remake hugh and the player’s kid are the same number of years apart#so i can see them having very similar conversations n friendship#surely these two kids will grow up well adjusted and they will have no lasting effects from this kind of isolation. they will be fine#i have been thinking a lot about what their childhoods were like. i want to protect both of them#everyone who has anything to say about them as kids says that both of them were not well behaved children at all#tei says rock was rambunctious and energetic and hard to handle. sebastian says lumina was less than amenable#rock says he was bored to death when he first came here and lumina asks you not to tell romana that she’s lonely#lumina also hated wearing dresses so. she is very mad and ready to bite people maybe#sos awl#bokumono#my art#rock tumbling (sos)#harvest moon#story of seasons#story of seasons a wonderful life#bokujou monogatari#i like to imagine a au where pony and cecilia come to visit their family’s respective farms#so these two can have more friends ;w;#i am always thinking about how they were both severed from their families and taken in by someone else at a young age to live in nowhere#and they are both not exactly enthused about following the path laid out for them#headcanon ⚠️ i wonder if rock’s moving out on his own happened when he was a teenager. he was extremely confident everything would work out#anyway he got fired from every job ever and after many years came crawling back. and he came crawling back blond#at the time of chapter 1 lumina is baffled by the state of the guy she grew up with. why is he using dated slang and wearing disco costume#she is also kind of mad at him for having been gone for so long#hc rock probably had more freedom as a kid than lumina did which probably annoyed her#once again takakura retrieves a small rock from the goddess pond and he’s covered in poison ivy bee stings etc. no remorse#lumina from her window on the hill feels somehow jealous of these misadventures#lumina mentions in her heart event that she doesn’t often visit the beach because her skin burns easily#meanwhile rock was probably playing outside always. if his kid is any indication#idk i like thinking about the history of this extremely small village

I’m sorry but I cannot get the idea of hippie goth Anya out of my head. Like she goes from this cute baby with all her pastels and dolls to like wearing every shade of black possible. She always has really fun eyeliner. Listens to mostly rock and metal (she’s growing up in the late 70s early 80s like prime time). She wears long skirts with all these fun patterns. Lots of jewelry with little spikes. Her trademark doc martins and her never ending stash of boots. And she’s totally into occult shit, especially witches and voodoo and hoodoo.
But her personality hasn’t changed much shes still the eccentric playful girl she always was just with a lot of dark colours now. Kinda like Misa from death note.
And I do think this would only make Damian love her more because like come on preppy jocks always love the weird goth girl.
And the way her style would completely clash with Becky’s. Like Becky getting into her classy preppy princess Diana style while Anya is embracing her inner Courtney love and it’s such a confusing combination.
And Yor would be so afraid of Anya. She doesn’t want to say anything to cramp her style but also you’re playing with devious there doll. And everyone’s just like who are you to talk?????
Twilight won’t even care. He’s too busy crying over seeing his baby girl all grown up he hasn’t even processed the goth witch part of it.

random hc but. crowley being a plague doctor in the 16th/17th century bc he's supposedly "tempting people into death" but he can never, ever bring himself to actually do that so he ends up soothing their pain as best as he can and comforting them in their last moments. one night, after he held a little girl's hand as she passed away, he sits down at the banks of the river thames, with his plague mask discarded on the dirt, and he starts out over the water with tears in his eyes, wondering what the fuck is actually the point? it's not the first time he's asked himself the question nor the first plague he witnessed but, here, now after personally witnessing hundreds of deaths every day, he really wonders what actually is the point of him? why does he exist and why should he keep existing. why does he get to live when so many others don't? how is that fair? how is any of it fair? that's how aziraphale finds him, as he just got back from an assignment somewhere or other and hears crowley is in town, so he discreetly looks for him and finds him there, sitting in the dirt, now with his head in his hands, his shoulders silently shaking and is obviously immediately worried but doesn't know how to comfort him or what's allowed so he just sits beside crowley and watches him try to pull himself together. aziraphale's heart breaks, he put what happened together from the mask and the robes and he obviously knows about the bubonic plague but was convinced it was hell's doing and couldn't have even imagined crowley was out there everyday, helping people under the guise of hurting them. is he surprised? no, of course not but it still hurts to see crowley like this. but he's afraid to cross their unspoken rules so he quietly waits crowley out. he watches the water and doesn't dare look at crowley as he lifts his head and takes a few shaky breaths in. after a few minutes of breathing, crowley croaks out "her name was mary" and nothing else, and aziraphale understands, god he understands. it's one of the things they never speak about after it happens but aziraphale can't forget the night he sat with crowley for hours, till the sun came up, as he cried about a death of one little girl. he holds it close to his chest and never, ever forgets.

Aww, Ash admitted to me when we were discussing Star Wars opinions that she's not only thought about these things before, she's actually really feeling like using her advanced creative writing degree to write ...................... fanfiction, and has actually done so in the past.
me, shoving my 67 SW fanfics on AO3 under the bed: Oh hey, awesome! That sounds really interesting.

Ik Pyro is from Sydney in the comics (most likely Woolloomooloo specifically since he mentioned his grandma lives there) but I have a really in-depth headcanon about him being from somewhere in Tasmania (in-depth enough to include animal motifs and broader historical things lol I thought about this way too hard) and I really want to form it into a proper fic but I really don't think it would be that interesting to anyone other than, well, me...

There is a part of Roy that relishes how much power he has as the Flame Alchemist, what he can do, and that no one else can do it.
And he loathes it.
To understand this part of Roy Mustang, we have to go back to the Ishvalan War of Extermination. Roy was an effective State Alchemist during said war, later touted as the Hero of Ishval, a moniker he holds with disdain. Roy viewed his orders with disgust and horror, which he shared with both Maes Hughes and Riza Hawkeye more than once. During one of these conversations, Solf J. Kimblee happens to listen in and offer his insight, namely to Riza:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Riza, who is fresh out of the academy, freezes. The very thought is dreadful. How could Kimblee ask such a thing?
We do not see Maes respond to Kimblee in either the manga nor FMAB. Roy, however, is quick on his feet with a fight response:
Tumblr media
In looking at this scene, we might think Roy's anger comes from a place purely to defend his friend. That would not be inaccurate as Roy cares deeply for Riza. Everything we know about Roy's character leads us to believe he would not sit idly by while someone he cares about is threatened or hurt. This war also has most people on edge. Such an emotional response is in the realm of normal.
But, it's not the only thing that bothered Roy here. Kimblee in this scene makes an excellent foil to Roy's fraying idealism and self-image. He runs almost completely opposite as he views his work as a State Alchemist as a job, which he takes satisfaction in. He also acknowledges what this war is and what they're doing, giving his famous speech that Riza eventually quotes back to Edward:
"Don't avert your eyes from death. Look straight ahead. Look squarely at the people you're killing. And don't forget them. Never... forget them. Because they won't forget you" (Chapter 60: In the Absence of God).
This entire confrontation between Kimblee and Roy forces the latter to come face-to-face with uncomfortable truths about himself and the war. The one that got him angry in the first place, though? There was a part of him that took pride in what he did on the battlefield. There was a part of him that enjoyed using his flame alchemy to kill.
Just like everything else, he compartmentalized that part of himself. It could never see the light of day again. Every time he used his flame alchemy after that, it was with the specific purpose of ensuring he and those around him survived---or, in the case of Fullmetal vs. Flame, it was for training purposes.
Flames of Vengeance, however, was the exception. The man who enjoyed using his flame alchemy to harm and kill came out then, and he was not quiet about it. Listen to and/or read how he speaks to Envy when he describes what he is doing with his alchemy. It is sadistic, and it is terrifying.
And, underneath all of the fury, there is pride.
In conclusion: Roy Mustang compartmentalizes almost every facet of himself in order to get ahead. This is just another part, one he hates, and it is perhaps one of the deadliest of all.

Screw it, lemme post about my transfem!Genie headcanon. I have an entire multi-chapter fanfic planned for her that I one day hope to write, but for now, I'll just ramble.
Tumblr media
This headcanon started because I was coming up with an alternate timeline where the Professor befriends the Genie, and as part of them getting closer, the Professor decides to disclose his actual name (which some people don't know... it's Concupiscence McNasty btw, Connie for short). Then, when Connie asks for the Genie's name, the Genie realizes that he, well, doesn't really have one!
Because he's a little devious, he forces Connie to guess his name, planning to use one of his guesses as his new name. At one point, Connie joked that the Genie's name is Sara (which would be a nightmare (/lh) for him if true because imagine if the person you're flirting with has the same name as your nemesis-slowly-turning-bestie 😔), but then something happens inside the Genie... a new feeling he isn't very familiar with before. He... likes being called a feminine name?
(Okay I'm gonna be so honest while I'm typing this, a lightbulb clicked in me and I'm aAAAAA-) So yeah he decides to steal Sara's name lmao much to Connie's horror, and that moment starts an entire character arc where Sara realizes that he - or rather she - is a trans woman!
About that lightbulb moment: I was gonna have her named as Yazrin immediately after the Sara joke via the Professor helping the Genie find the name through a bunch of googling, but I'm now thinking that Yazrin can get her actual name later in the fanfic 'cause some trans people, like me, go through a period of choosing different names before they settle on one that really speaks to them.
Part of her character arc is not just becoming a woman but also transforming (hah) from an edgy little misanthrope who uses sarcasm and distance as a deflection tactic to one of the most genuine, optimistic beings who loves the world and everyone in it, and maybe she can get her name from talking with someone she meets on the street after helping them?
Maybe that person has a friend or a daughter named Yazrin who passed away, and as a sort of tribute to them, that person suggests Yazrin to name herself that, and Yazrin is very honored to do that in a way. Also, Yazrin is just a really good name, y'know? :>
I'm gonna stop for now since this post is getting very long, but YEAH if y'all actually read this post, thank you thank you so much. Hope I'll get everyone on board the transfem!Genie train.

thinking about verin having a little bit of paladin in him alongside being an echo knight.
his sense of honor and justice being his defining traits. his willingness to walk into a town that’s fighting a fight where a stalemate has been the best case scenario for as long as anyone can remember and saying “we’re going to win this.” him swearing to protect them and refusing to let his conviction be shaken even as the mounting threats weigh on him. his faith in the luxon being more based on ideals than religious belief, and how his commitment to those ideals must be genuine and not just blind faith, given that he can question them enough to understand why essek doesn’t feel the same. him being a “beacon of hope” for the people of bazzoxan, a light cutting through the darkness they’ve grown used to.
thinking about him, in the heat of battle, rushing to the side of a fallen soldier under his command, and a light suddenly reaching out from his hands to touch the soldier, closing their wounds just enough to keep them from fading away. him not knowing where it came from, keeping the powers close to his chest until he needs them most because he knows that people will talk, that they’ll make a big deal of him being “chosen” by the luxon when he doesn’t want to be a chosen one or even know if he believes that’s where they came from, and all he wants is to do his job well and protect the people under his care. thinking that maybe one day he can show them and get the respect and approval he craves, but not until he’s sure it won’t mean being whisked away from people who still need him.
i don’t know, i just think it would be fitting if he had a touch of paladin in him.

I know for a fact that a handful of reactionary Cybertronians would want to reinstall and/or even intensify the pre-war caste system. I know for a fact that some bots—not only older bots because, you know, there are just those youngsters that wish to return to the “old days” that they themselves definitely have never tasted—blame the war on the lower castes and their “barbarism”, “anarchism” or simply use the war as a display of the dangers of a free and egalitarian society, and spouting things like “Well, some bots are created for servitude, you know”.
I just know.

I'm sorry if this is a too deep question out of nowhere, but on your HCs, how do you think the curses (and mahito especially) perceive gender? Mahito uses masculine pronouns in canon, but do you think he identifies with a specific gender? Is agender? Is interested in studying the importance we humans give to it, or thinks it's too stupid and unecessary? Does he comprehend certain prejudices that humans have due to gender ideas? I was also going to include asking about sexuality too, but I think this is already a pretty big ask </3 have a good day S2
Tumblr media
Feel free to ask anything you like! I love deep questions.
With curses in general I think the context matters - as in, the type of curse they are. Say a curse exists that was born from the suffering women have endured, I feel like that curse would be more attached to the associated gender because its existence and nature surrounds that gender specifically. Whether that curse has the sentience or care to identify as said gender is another thing to consider. How a curse presents itself could be directly related to that gender its nature is associated with, or it could be a more ambiguous thing that covets aspects of the specific gender despite being something more akin to agender.
I think it comes down to the nature of the curse (why the curse was born to begin with) + the level of sentience of the curse (if it possesses the awareness to care about gender). I think a curse lacking sentience/awareness that identifies as a gender is likely echoing its nature without consideration - like a ghost looping in the place it died. Curses seem to echo "gibberish" about what made them or is related to their birth.
By default I lean towards the 'no' zone of curses perceiving gender to the degree humans do. While gender can be important to the type of curse it is, gender doesn't actually serve a purpose beyond that to them. It's entirely a human construct in terms of identification. Gender serves a reproductive purpose, sure, but how many curses are out there making babies? I ask that because curses, as we know them, lean more into negative and destructive habits than positive and creation based ones.
The context of a curse is what can give them a gender association, but a curse possessing sentience to some degree is what can define their perception on gender - if they even have one.
With Mahito I think he understands humans value gender perception. I don't think he personally cares deeply on the matter himself in terms of identification, but he likes the way the male form feels more-so than the female form. From the angle I write him from, I feel like he's agender but likes to be masculine presenting in body to a degree.
(Side note: I have a running theory way off to the side on the fact he was more masc leaning because human hatred, fear and betrayal in history has been more knowingly caused by men and patriarchies. That's not me saying women haven't done shit things in history, mind you, since Mahito isn't really bound to any one gender doing one. But predominantly in history, regardless of country even, we see male leaders of nations or clans being the ones to decide the fates of others. Betraying their people, enslavement, forcing their people into war, murdering for their own gain or enjoyment, etc. and the greater documentation we have of it regarding men over women.
It made me think that maybe Mahito's development into a masc leaning build was influenced by that. But he also keeps his features feminine leaning because plenty of women in history have also done wrong. Both in the past and present day - whatever the span of energy was that built up enough to make him. Or remake him (again and again).
It's a very tentative thing I'm considering because obviously it Doesn't Sound Great on paper. But Mahito is a little bit of a scholar of sorts, between human psychology, philosophy and (in my opinion) having some manner of interest in history - I can see him kind of playing with this angle because it could feel right to him to embody aspects of what birthed him. Presenting as a feminine man also is its own topic that inspires stupid amounts of hatred in people. Seeing as Mahito likes to make people upset, uncomfortable, etc. I can also see him forming his body based on that.
And while I know a person's art style is liable to change here and there and what not - I find it fun to think that Mahito is just shapeshifting himself a little here and there. Thins his muscles, gets a little leaner now and then, sometimes gets more bulky. Adjusts depending on his wants or if he thinks it's necessary to.
Anyways, these thoughts in here are just tentative ones I'm musing on because I'm trying to factor in the things that birthed him and how they've played a role in humanity. So take this section in parenthesis with a grain of salt for now.)
Back to your inquiry, I think he'd be interested to learn how humans perceive it and what the fuss is all about. The subject of gender in the modern era sparks a lot of negativity between those who are going unheard and those who are obtuse on the matter. I think Mahito understands gender in the form of human reproduction and doesn't inherently think more on it beyond that. If someone corrected him on how their identify he'd take a second to consider their physical form and if it was based on that or based on their mental perception of themselves. Either way, I don't really feel like he'd have a care in going along with how someone identifies as, since gender to him isn't a huge deal. On top of that, his interest in psychology and philosophy surrounding the subject is probably the saving grace here that would have him be interested in going along with it. Because without that, he really wouldn't care and would call someone whatever came to mind. This isn't to say he's a nice curse, btw. Mahito will likely make rude jokes at the expense of someone. Gender, orientation, whatever regarding all that isn't really off limits if he wants to be mean in some way.
I think Mahito has a good understanding on the prejudices that exist. While he has no real attachment to gender as a curse and just decides based on his whim of what he likes at the time, he understands the value humans have with it and the negativity that generates because of the subject. Hell, he was probably born from a decent chunk of the hatred ignorant people have on the subject and the hatred (and fear) people on the other side of the debate (nonbinary, trans, etc) also experience. Mahito sees this issues humans face and thinks they are silly things to squabble about. But hey, they are generating negativity and kind of proving his own ideology so he isn't about to complain either.
Also feel free to ask about sexuality! I'm pausing this answer without that part because I'm not wholly sure what about it you'd like me to address. If you mean how curses or Mahito perceive sexuality? Or if he associates with that-- like similar questions here just flipped for that subject or something else. So rather than presuming I'll let you feel free to ask if you'd like so I can give the inquiry the attention it deserves.
If I didn't answer something enough, feel free to specify and I'll clarify my thoughts further. I don't mind at all.
Mind anyone who gets this far, this is just my own opinion of how I write Mahito. It's fine if you disagree with any part of it. ^^
Thank you very much for asking! It was lovely to answer.

IDK if it would cheer you up but - cute or happy Ghost headcanons?
hfskjhgfdk thank you ;u; (I have separate ones for when he's dating someone.)
He has a collection of really good thrift store t-shirts that he wears exclusively at home or under a bunch of layers. No one will ever see them. (The more surreal the shirt, the better.)
He doesn't cry during sad parts in movies, but The Fox and the Hound did mess him up.
Expert at shuffling decks of cards.
Also at tying fishing lures.
Really likes no-pressure rustic camping and backwoods hiking.
He has friends back home who have absolutely no idea what he does for a living. Most of them are pub friends who mostly know him as 'Simon, the guy who really likes Everton FC'. (Going off Samuel Roukin saying Ghost would be an Everton fan ayyy.)
Makes up stories about scars and past injuries that have nothing to do with how he actually got them.
Scuba certified! Pilot certified! First aid/CPR certified! Vegetable gardening club certified! (He took classes!)
Actually very popular at the local garden club. See above note on friends who have no idea what he actually does.
Has at least five 'noodle incident' stories. One of them is now a legendary Fan Dance story, although his name is omitted in retellings (he's just "one guy").
Chooses Sainsbury's over anything else 9/10 times.
History nerrrrrrd.
Notoriously good at choosing the perfect gifts for people. He's observant! He knows what people like!
Terrible at texting back.
(Bonus to the above, he feels bad when he forgets to text someone back, but he gets so busy/distracted that he's like "yeah I'll get around to that" and never does.)
Favorite tea is lapsang souchong. The smokier, the better.
Has an incredibly expensive bottle of Kentucky bourbon that he's saving for a special occasion. He has no idea what that occasion is going to be or when it's going to happen, but that bottle is sacred.
Has more airline miles saved up than anyone he knows.
Went ghost hunting once and had like a Shane Madej reaction to it.
Owns one particularly fluffy blanket that is holy and good and wonderful and no one on earth is allowed to borrow it or use it ever.
