thinking about verin having a little bit of paladin in him alongside being an echo knight.
his sense of honor and justice being his defining traits. his willingness to walk into a town that’s fighting a fight where a stalemate has been the best case scenario for as long as anyone can remember and saying “we’re going to win this.” him swearing to protect them and refusing to let his conviction be shaken even as the mounting threats weigh on him. his faith in the luxon being more based on ideals than religious belief, and how his commitment to those ideals must be genuine and not just blind faith, given that he can question them enough to understand why essek doesn’t feel the same. him being a “beacon of hope” for the people of bazzoxan, a light cutting through the darkness they’ve grown used to.
thinking about him, in the heat of battle, rushing to the side of a fallen soldier under his command, and a light suddenly reaching out from his hands to touch the soldier, closing their wounds just enough to keep them from fading away. him not knowing where it came from, keeping the powers close to his chest until he needs them most because he knows that people will talk, that they’ll make a big deal of him being “chosen” by the luxon when he doesn’t want to be a chosen one or even know if he believes that’s where they came from, and all he wants is to do his job well and protect the people under his care. thinking that maybe one day he can show them and get the respect and approval he craves, but not until he’s sure it won’t mean being whisked away from people who still need him.
i don’t know, i just think it would be fitting if he had a touch of paladin in him.

Okay, Worm. Wormy. What race and class would the Mysmes characters play as in WoW? Feel free to give any other headcanons too. 🤲
hi hello I’m currently working on other requests at the moment but this one seemed fun to do while I take a break from homework!
Anyone who knows me is well aware of the fact I’m a big fan of anything WoW related and have been for years, so let’s go 👀
Reblogs are highly appreciated. :)
RFA on WoW
Includes: All RFA Members + Saeran and Rika
Warnings -> N/A
Type: Headcanons.
Tumblr media
Zen:
Blood Elf - Paladin.
It was the only race that had options to make it look like him.
Genuinely thought they looked really handsome/pretty while looking through the characterization screen.
He also felt like it would have been fun to try something on the Horde; a little different from the rest of the RFA.
Zen almost chose a warrior for the class but liked the idea of having the ability to heal as a Paladin.
Profession - Jewelcrafting.
A very rare profession in the game by now, but Zen assumed it was fitting for his character.
Prioritizes armor looks over actual stats.
“Where did all of your gold go—?”
“... Transmog...”
Yoosung:
Troll - Hunter.
Wanted to join the Horde along with Zen and guide him through it.
Couldn’t decide on a race at first but enjoyed reading up on the Troll story and statistics.
Gets way too attached to his pets and takes time naming every single one of them.
So many pets with the stablemaster. So many.
Accidentally killed a mob while trying to tame it; cried for about an hour. (Zen had to cheer him up until it respawned.)
Focuses on PVP way more than storyline.
Profession - cooking!
His bags are constantly full of food and potions.
Also just thought the campfire option was really nice. :)
Jaehee:
Night Elf - Monk.
Mr. Han wanted to be a Night Elf, so she was “kindly demanded” to join him.
She ended up hooked reading the description for monks and gets excited when a new ability pops up.
It reminds her of Judo a bit, even though they’re very different, but she compliments the animation on their stance.
Isn’t one for games most of the time, but starts reading up on the Night Elf storyline while on break.
A little down about the fact she’s on the opposite faction as Zen. (“Don’t you think he would look great in a show about these characters?”)
Profession - Inscription.
Also a very rare profession, but puts unwanted items and recipes to use this way.
It’s also a decently fast profession to complete during the day, so one she can enjoy after work.
It also goes well with Jumins profession.
Jumin:
Night Elf - Mage.
His first option was a Human, actually.
But Zen teased him about it being a very basic choice. (So, why not go with the second basic option?)
It’s canon that Jumin is interested in magic and witchcraft, so a Mage was the next best thing.
Specifically enjoys the talent of Arcane mage, but regularly switches to other elements. (Named the Elemental pet “Elizabeth the 4th.”)
Tries to get in contact with the developers to sell cat related products with in-game references.
Profession - Enchanting.
Doesn’t actually know how to use the profession and gets Assistant Kang to do most of the work.
She also has to trade a lot of materials if he asks. (Please just... use the auction house.)
Tries to somehow use enchanting in real life. Upset it doesn’t work.
Seven:
Gnome - Warlock.
Ah, yes. The most hated race in the game. That’s why he chose it.
Ends up attached to the little guy and gives him the wildest characterization options.
And, of course, the classic yellow engineering goggles were a necessity.
Ends up finding a rotation with Warlocks easier than anything else and finds out how to cast his spells all at once.
Has been suspended multiple times for that, though.
Profession - Engineering.
Not too much of a surprise but when Seven found out he can make stuff in-game, he was all over it.
Ends up making certain inventions in real life for his personal enjoyment. (And Vanderwoods demise.)
May or may not catch up with Yoosung in PVP to completely annihilate him. Bonus points if it’s in open world too.
Jihyun:
Human - Warrior.
Swears he would try another race next time but wanted his first to be a Human.
Also tries to make it look like himself somehow.
Didn’t realize he could have been any other class than a Warrior. It was the default and looked interesting.
Can’t tank very well but overall likes the idea of damage control. Even if it’s just... Pressing buttons.
Explores more than actually questing since the areas are really nice to just sit and enjoy sometimes.
Has taken a few screenshots for artistic references before.
Profession - Archaeology.
Most people with the profession just do it for XP or reputation points,
But this man will sit down and read every. Single. Site. It’s nice to hear him get excited and interested in his findings, however. (Same, Jihyun.)
Saeran:
Undead - Rogue.
Ray thought they looked a little creepy at first, but Saeran overall empathized with their story.
They’re the misunderstood outcasts of the game - why wouldn’t he play them?
The rogue was an interesting choice. The idea of stealthing around and using quick attacks was intriguing.
Doesn’t play too often but somehow levels faster than the rest of the group.
Ray will focus more on exploring, Suit enjoys PVP, and Saeran will actually pay attention to the plot.
Ironically dislikes Sylvanas.
Profession - Herbalism.
At first didn’t like the idea of actually picking the flowers in game before realizing that’s how you learn about them.
Makes a little section in his book specifically for these fictional flowers and their meanings, plus what they’re used for in-game.
Rika:
Draenei - Priest.
Not only envied their devotion but also their outlook on helping others.
Would eventually switch over to Lightforged Draenei once they’re unlocked, but gets attached to her original character.
I’m trying really hard not to make a “Light” joke or connect anything to the Naaru....
Is the teams healer and does an amazing job at it. Not too fond of actual combat.
Spends a lot of time in the Priest campaign hall doing dailies and class quests.
Profession - Alchemy.
The art of crushing an item down into dust in order to turn it into something else more useful for her character.
Doesn’t use the profession all too much unless absolutely needed, though.
Overall a fun player to work with and everyone’s go-to healer.
And that’s it! I hope you enjoy reading. :)

A Paladin in the Fire Nation
Chapter 1 Chapter 2
Rating: PG
Series: Voltron Legendary Defender/Avatar the Last Airbender
Summary: After the fight with Zarkon, Shiro accidentally gets tossed into another reality where humans have the ability to bend the elements. His best shot at returning home is with someone called the Avatar, while he waits he might as well take on the job of being the Firelord’s bodyguard.
---------------------------------------------------
Shiro had been fearful Jee or Ling would question him further, and he wouldn’t have easy answers for either of them. Thankfully once he was safely back in his cell and his cuffs were removed, Jee instructed Ling to guard him and said nothing else.
The two sat in silence which suited Shiro just fine. It gave him time to think about his situation.
It was possible this was just a planet that had never encountered Voltron or the Galra but they looked like humans, and the guard had even said they were when Shiro asked.
But this place isn’t Earth, he thought. Wish the rest of the team were here.
His fists tightened. Was everyone alright? Did they survive the fight or did Zarkon capture them all and they were-
A gentle growl rumbled through his mind.
Shiro froze. “Black?”
Ling glanced up. “What?”
Shiro choked and waved a hand. “Oh, uh nothing.”
Ling raised an eyebrow, but gave a shrug.
Shiro leaned back and took a deep breath. Black?
Black purred. The voice wasn’t as strong as she normally was, but the fact remained she was still with him.
Okay, so I’m assuming something happened during the fight with Zarkon and I got transported to this place by accident?
The Black Lion purred again.
Is the team alright? Are they safe?
Another confirmed purr came and Shiro breathed just a bit easier.
Alright, so I’m going to assume I’m not on Earth, am I on a different planet?
He felt a growl this time. Then images of the astral plane along with words of ‘different’ and ‘reality’.
Shiro froze. I’m in another reality?b
The Black Lion purred again.
Shiro took a deep breath as he ran a hand through his hair. That was a lot to take in.
Don’t suppose you can send me back?
The Black Lion growled and this time the words ‘too far’ echoed through his head.
“Figures,” Shiro muttered as he crossed his arms. So he was stuck here until he could find some way to get home. His eyes narrowed at the cell bars.
They were just made out of iron. Shiro could break out of this place easily, but he still didn’t know the layout of it. Besides, he had no idea what this reality was like.
I better just lay low until I can figure out what this place is like, Shiro thought as he drummed his fingers against his knee. Not sure how I’m going to do that though unless I get the Firelord to trust me.
Suddenly, he heard a door open. Shiro quietly watched Ling leave, heard mummering and came back with a tray of food.
“Lunch,” she decreed as she took out two bowls for herself and slipped the tray under the cell for Shiro.
Curious, Shiro pulled the tray closer to him. He wasn’t sure what kind of food this place would have.
Let’s see, looks like a kind of soup and-
Shiro blinked. Slowly, he picked up the second bowl and stared amazed at the contents. “Is that rice?”
Ling raised an eyebrow with her own bowl of soup in her hands. “Um, yes, last I checked.”
Shiro took the chopsticks and carefully picked up a mouthful of rice. He almost moaned in pleasure. Shiro had never been a picky eater, but it had been almost two years now since he’d had rice. Hunk would probably be crying if he was here.
Shiro swallowed, only to realize Ling stared at him in puzzlement.
“You..know that rice is overcooked?” she said. “And I’m fairly certain a day old.”
“I...haven’t had rice in a long time,” Shiro said slowly and forced a smile.
He couldn’t exactly explain he hadn’t had rice since he got captured in space.
Ling raised a wary eyebrow as she sat and reached for her bowl of soup.
“You are weird,” Ling replied but then shrugged as she ate more of her meal, “but I’ll take guarding you over having to watch Ozai.” She cringed. “That man gives me the creeps.”
Shiro had no idea who this Ozai was, but kept quiet as he ate another mouth.
Ling sipped her soup, but then coughed. “Arrg, really, they forgot to heat it up again,” she grumbled as she held the bowl over her right hand. “If your soup is cold, I would be willing to warm it up for you.”
“Um, thanks,” Shiro began, “but I don’t-”
A flame ignited in her hand. Shiro froze as the chopsticks slipped from his hand. Ling smiled as she held the bowl over the clearly burning fire in the palm of her hand. Once steam started to rise, the fire went out and she sipped.
“Much better,” she commented and suddenly noticed Shiro staring at her. “What?”
“How..how did you do that?” Shiro said as he pointed.
Ling blinked. “Do..what?”
“Hold a fire in your hand and not have it burn you?” Shiro asked, stunned.
Did these people have some kind of magical ability here?
Ling tilted her head. “Um..I was just bending.”
Shiro continued to blink in puzzlement.
“Fire bending,” Ling continued as she sent down her soup and waved around her arms. “You know bending.”
“I..I really don’t,” Shiro continued. “Is that some kind of spell?”
Ling’s jaw dropped as if Shiro had just said he’d never seen the sky. “What, no! Great Agni, how do you not know what bending is?!”
“For any truth that everyone knows a thousand people learn it everyday.”
Upon hearing the new voice, Ling sprang to her feet and bowed.
“Prince Iroh, forgive me,” she said as she bowed. “I didn’t hear you come in.”
Shiro frowned as the voice approached and saw it was the older man that had sat alongside Zuko earlier from the meeting.
He gave a reassuring smile as he waved at Ling. “Nothing to forgive,” he laughed. “My old bones are not creaky just yet.”
The man then turned to Shiro as he tucked his hands into his long sleeves. “We were not properly introduced,” he greeted. “I am Prince Iroh.”
“Uh..Hello,” Shiro said slowly as he stood and tried to give a bow like Ling had.
If he was stuck in this place, he had to try to stay on good terms with these people. Although, why was this man here?
Iroh nodded and then frowned upon seeing Shiro’s food tray and looked to Ling. “Is that his lunch?”
“It’s what the chef gave me to bring him,” Ling replied with a shrug.
Iroh stroked his beard. “The quality of the food seemed to have degraded since my time in prison.”
Shiro raised an eyebrow. Did he just say prison?
“I will have to have a word with the kitchen later,” Iroh continued as he returned his gaze to Shiro. “It is just as well then that I extend my invention to you.”
Shiro narrowed his eyes. “Invention?”
“To join me for lunch in my chambers,” Iroh said smiling.
Shiro raised and lowered his hand, unsure how to respond. He had wondered if perhaps this was a local custom he wasn’t aware of, but judging by Ling’s equally shocked reaction it likely wasn’t the norm.
“Your chambers?” Ling said. “Sir, the Firelord made it quite clear the intruder was to remain in his cell.”
“I am aware,” Iroh said as he patted her shoulder, “although, I do believe it is not a realistic request.”
“What do you mean?” Ling asked.
Iroh pointed to Shiro. “I mean, I am quite certain this young man could break out of his cell whenever he wished but is only reframing from doing so in order to be customary to us.”
Ling’s eyes widened and glanced into the cell. Shiro rubbed the back of his neck as he gave a sheepish shrug.
“He’s..not wrong,” he said as he held up his cybernetic hand.
“Ah,” Ling replied slowly but then regained composure. “But Firelord Zuko-”
“I will handle him and take full responsibility,” Iroh said with a smile. “Now, can you please release Mister Shirogane?”
Ling looked hesitant and sighed. “Alright, but only if I’m allowed to escort you and him to your room.”
“That would be acceptable,” Iroh said with a smile as he stepped aside.
Shiro watched bewildered as his cell door was opened. He glanced at Iroh and his body tensed as he left. There was no way he was doing this on a lark. The man had to have some ulterior motive.
Ling went to the wall to fetch the handcuffs, but Iroh stopped her.
“There is no need for that,” Iroh insisted.
“But, Prince Iroh,” Ling began but quieted when Iroh shot her a look and pulled back her hand from the wall.
Iroh’s smile brightened as he tucked his hands behind his back. “This way please. I already informed the guards on route to avoid confusion.”
That made Shiro feel a bit more at ease. He’d rather not have the guards jumping at him for ‘escaping’ his cell. However, he still kept vigilant as he followed Iroh and Ling stayed close.
They walked in silence for several minutes until they reached what Shiro could only assume was the destination.
“Thank you, Ling,” Iroh said as he entered. “You may return to your post.”
Ling looked reluctant. “But shouldn’t I stand guard?”
Iroh gave her a smile. “I believe it would be better if you are at the cell in case the Firelord comes, and do not worry there are guards down the hall if I require assistance.”
Ling frowned, but sighed as she gave a bow. “Yes, Sir.” She glared at Shiro and pointed at her eye then his own. “Don’t try anything funny.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Shiro replied as he watched her go.
He debated if now would be a good time to try to escape, but he still didn’t know the layout of the place. Would he get that far?
“If you wish to escape that is fine,” Iroh commented, “but you might as well fill your stomach first.”
Shiro jumped slightly, but quickly regained his composure. No, it wouldn’t do much to escape now. Besides, talking to Iroh might be his best chance at learning more of where exactly he was.
The Black Lion growled in encouragement as Shiro entered.
Iroh’s quarters were certainly larger than Shiro’s cell. There were some furniture items, some states and artwork on the wall. There were maps, but Shiro didn’t recognize any of them. A low table with food and bowls sat in the centre of the room.
Before Shiro could speak Iroh suddenly shoved some articles of clothing into his arms.
“Here, these seem more fitting and comfortable than the robes you were given earlier,” Iroh said and pointed to a folding screen. “Change behind there.”
“Uh, thanks,” Shiro said as he went to where Iroh directed.
Shiro removed the robes but decided to keep on his paladin undergarments for added protection as he slipped on the sleeveless shirt. It was bright red with yellow along the collar and edges. The pants were simple black with a red sash to tie around his waist.
Once he was finished, Shiro stepped out and saw Iroh was sitting at the table. He smiled in approval.
“Ah good,” he said as he reached for empty cups. “I wasn’t sure if they would fit.” He held up a teapot. “How about a fresh cup of tea? It goes well with the komodo chicken.”
“Before that,” Shiro said as he sat across from Iroh, “how about you tell me the reason I’m here.”
Iroh shrugged as he poured a cup. “To have lunch of course.”
Shiro raised an eyebrow. “I’m not familiar with your culture, but I have a hard time believing inviting a stranger to lunch is a tradition here.”
Iroh laughed. “No, not really,” Iroh said as he set down his cup and poured another. “I merely thought this might be a more comfortable setting for asking questions.”
So he’s doing his own interrogation, Shiro thought. That explains a few things.
Iroh held out Shiro’s cup to him, but saw he didn’t move his hand.
“I’m fine, thank you,” Shiro said.
Iroh gave a laugh. “If you are worried I slipped something into the tea, I promise you I didn’t. To ruin tea in such a way would be a disgrace.” He set the cup in front of Shiro before reaching for his own and taking a sip. “Ah, that warms the old spirit.
Shiro frowned and eyed the cup. He should be suspicious, but something told Shiro the old man was being honest.
Gingerly, Shiro picked up the cup and took a sip. He froze as the flavor hit his tongue and old childhood memories struck him. He knew this taste!
“Is this jasmine?” Shiro asked, stunned. This place may be an alternative reality, but Shiro never expected to see so many familiar things from Earth.
Iroh beamed. “Why yes,” he said and laughed. “It is my favorite blend. Fellow tea lover are you?”
“Not really,” Shiro replied as he stared into the cup. “My grandfather drank it all the time when I was a kid.”
There were times Shiro swore his grandfather had tea water instead of blood in his body.
“Oh, a man after my own heart then,” Iroh said as he picked up his chopsticks. “He must have great taste.”
Shiro gave a bittersweet smile. “Yeah, he did.”
Iroh’s smile softened understanding the use of past tense and took a piece of komodo chicken. “Do you have chopsticks where you are from?”
“Yes,” Shiro said as he picked up his set and tried to ignore his stomach growls and gathered his own chicken. “I haven’t used them for awhile though.”
Iroh laughed. “Then it is a good time to practice.”
They then ate and Shiro had to admit the komodo chicken was delicious. It didn’t taste quite like chicken from his reality, but there was an earthiness to it that was intriguing. He felt guilty the other paladins weren’t here to enjoy it, especially Hunk.
I hope they’re alright, Shiro thought as the Black Lion responded with a comforting purr to the thought.
They ate in silence. Shiro assumed Iroh was trying to be polite, but became puzzled when half the food was gone, Iroh set down his chopstick and patted his stomach.
“Nothing like a good meal,” Iroh said as he reached for his tea. “Would you not agree?”
“Yes,” Shiro replied slowly. “It was delicious, thank you.”
Iroh smiled. “Then perhaps I should send us some dessert? I believe there are some tea cakes in the kitchen.”
Shiro frowned as he lowered his own chopsticks. “Um..perhaps we better get to the reason why I’m here.”
Iroh frowned, but then gave a nod. “Yes, of course.”  He set down his cup and tucked his hands into his sleeves. “What would you like to know?”
Shiro  blinked. “What?”
“I said what would you like to know?” Iroh repeated gently.
Shiro tilted his head. “Like to-”  He pointed to himself. “Excuse me, Prince Iroh, I’m confused. You said I was here for an interrogation.”
Iroh shook his head. “No, I said it was to ask questions.” He gestured to Shiro. “And I meant for you to ask me.”
“For me to ask?” Shiro asked.
Iroh nodded as he stroked his beard. “I assumed there would be less confusion if you understood how this world works before the firelord started to question you again.”
Shiro froze and slowly his eyes widened at his meaning. “You..you know?,” he said slowly.
“That you are from another world?” Iroh asked and nodded. “Yes.”
“But how?” Shiro asked.
Iroh’s eyes hardened. “There had been theories in the past that the Spirit World is a gateway to other worlds or even universes very different from ours.” He reached out for his teacup. “Having my own experience with the Spirit World, it’s a theory I fully believe and it explains much of your behaviour and the odd armour we found you wearing.”
Shiro’s eyes narrowed. “So, you’ve never heard of Voltron?”
Iroh shook his head. “No, but let’s set that aside for the moment.” He gave a small smile. “And please call me ‘Iroh’. I do not care much for formalities these days if I don’t need to.”
Shiro’s shoulders relaxed. “In that case, I prefer being called ‘Shiro’.”
“Very well, Shiro,” Iroh said as he poured more tea into his and Shiro’s cups. “So, to ask again, what would you like to ask first?”
Shiro took the cup, took a sip as he thought and then leaned over the table. “Please explain to me what bending is?”
Iroh gave a smile as he began to answer.
--------------------------------------------
Sokka reached for the last piece of komodo chicken until Toph’s hand took it.
“Hey,” Sokka cried as he watched Toph gulp it down. “I had dibs on that.”
“Really?” Toph said as she swallowed. “I never saw it!”
Sokka glared as she grinned at her own joke before he grumbled.
She snorted as she leaned back. “Besides, you got my tart at breakfast.”
“Because you stole my snack the night before!”
“That doesn’t count! That seal jerky was way too dry!”
“That’s how you know it’s done right!”
A clearing of a throat forced both of them to stop and turned their attention to see Zuko standing in the doorway.
“I have to say, it’s a relief to see the saviors of the world to have grown up into such mature adults,” Zuko said with his arms crossed and he sat down next to Sokka.
Sokka pouted. “You jest but food is a very important discussion and- Toph if you steal my dumpling I swear!”
Zuko sighed as he resisted slapping his hand to his forehead. There were times he had wondered how these guys were some of his best friends? He glanced around and frowned.
“Katara isn’t here?”
“She had to stop by Jang Hui first,” Toph explained. “She wanted to check and see how the river restoration project there was doing.”
“Oh,” Zuko replied softly. “That makes sense.”
Katara was always very passionate about ensuring the small villages of the both Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation got the assistance they needed. It was one of the reasons Zuko had managed to be popular among his lower class subjects and he couldn’t deny Katara held a huge hand in that.
“She’ll be here tomorrow morning,” Sokka replied as he frowned. “So, is everything okay? Your letter just said to get here as soon as possible.”
Zuko sighed as he tucked his hands into his sleeves. “It’s complicated, it might be better to wait until Katara is here so I can just explain it once-”
“We can just repeat things for Sugarqueen,” Toph replied as she sat up and narrowed her eyes. “What’s going on?”
Zuko rubbed his neck. “Intruders have been sneaking into the palace.”
Sokka raised an eyebrow. “What kind of intruders?”
“Not entirely certain but possibly assassins,” Zuko asked but quickly raised a hand, “and before you ask I’m not the target. They haven’t come after me.”
“Well, that’s a relief,” Sokka muttered.
Toph tilted her head. “Then who has been the target?”
Zuko cringed. “It’s Ozai.”
Silence fell upon the room, until Toph flopped back on the floor. “Oh, is that all? I say let them.”
Sokka coughed. “Uh Toph, this is Zuko’s dad we’re talking about here.”
"Who is also the bonehead who burnt off half of Zuko's face.  And also tried to burn, what was it," she snapped her fingers, "right, the entire world.  I don't have any sympathy for the guy."
“Nor do I,” Zuko replied, “but I can’t sit back and let him be killed in cold blood-”
“Whoa, whoa, let’s backtrack a bit,” Sokka said as he patted Zuko’s shoulder. “When did this start?”
“A couple of months ago,” Zuko replied as Toph sat back up. “The guards located some trespassers, but they escaped. We thought they were simply thieves, but they reappeared a few weeks later.”
“And did you arrest them?” Sokka asked.
“We tried, but they got away again,” Zuko replied as he reached into his pocket and brought up a rolled up parchment. “However, one of them dropped this and it’s a map leading straight to where Ozai is being held.”
Sokka took the map and his eyes narrowed as he rolled it out. “Is it possible they were trying to free him?”
“I had wondered as well,” Zuko replied, “but the intruders were Earth Kingdom, one was even an Earth bender.”
Sokka grasped his chin. “Okay, yeah, can’t see why anyone from the Earth Kingdom would want Ozai free, but it’s not impossible.”
“If you ask me,” Toph said as she leaned forward, “the best way to find out is to let them get near Ozai. They either kill him, or they break him out and then you kill him.” She clapped her hands. “Problem solved!”
Zuko buried his face into his hands. “Toph, I can’t let them kill Ozai.”
“I still have yet to hear a decent reason why?”
“Because he is still a Fire Nation citizen,” Zuko retorted. “Prisoner or not, if I let another nation come in and kill him there’s going to be outrage.” His eyes hardened. “Some would even argue it as an excuse to go to war with the Earth Kingdom again.”
Toph paused and growled. “Alright, fine that’s a good reason.”
Zuko’s shoulders slumped. “Granted, I’m not surprised it’s come to this.”
“What do you mean?”
Zuko shut his eyes. “The other nations have been ‘requesting’ I fully punish my father.”
“But he is punished?” Sokka replied. “He’s in a cell and got his fire bending taken away by Aang.”
“To them it’s not good enough,” Zuko said.
Sokka blinked and then chewed his bottom lip. “You mean execution?”
“The diplomats here aren’t that direct,” Zuko said, “but it’s clear that’s their meaning.”
“Why are they only bringing it up now though?” Sokka said as he reached for his drink. “The war has been over for 3 years.”
“I’m guessing cause it’s been 3 years,” Toph replied, “and they figure things are settled enough for you to do something.”
Zuko nodded.
Sokka drummed his drink as he took a side way glance. “Um...have you..well consider…-”
“I can’t kill him either Sokka,” Zuko said as he stared at the ground.
Sokka sighed. “Look, I get he’s your dad-”
“It’s not just that,” Zuko replied. “Aang didn’t want him to die, remember? He’s the Avatar. How would it look if I go against what the Avatar decreed.”
Toph shut hugged her knees. “Yeah, I can see Twinkletoes not being happy with that, even if it is Ozai.”
The room went quiet for a moment, until Sokka cleared his throat and set down his drink. “Let’s put that heavy stuff aside for a moment.” He looked at Zuko. “These potential assassins, do you know anything else about them?”
Zuko’s smile brightened. “As it so happens we caught one this morning....we think.”
“You think?” Toph replied.
“He looks different from the other intruders,” Zuko continued. “He wore this weird white armour and even has a metal arm.”
“Um..if he looks different how do you know he’s connected to the others?” Sokka asked.
“We found him unconscious in the royal garden,” Zuko replied.
“That only raises more questions,” Sokka replied dryly.
Zuko shook his head. “He claims his name is Takashi Shirogane and that he is a ‘Paladin of Voltron’.”
Both Toph and Sokka gave him baffle looks.
“What the spirits is a Paladin?” Toph asked.
“No idea,” Zuko replied with a shrug.
“And where is this Voltron?” Sokka asked.
Zuko’s frown tightened. “I don’t know and I’ve looked on every Fire Nation and Earth Kingdom map I have.” He had even questioned the map maker of it, but she had never heard of the place either.
“But that’s not the weirdest thing about him,” Zuko continued as he rose.
“How is not knowing where the guy came from not the weirdest thing?” Toph asked.
“I think it’s better if I just showed you,” Zuko said as he tucked his hands into his robes.
He led down the hall, and unlocked the room where the stranger’s armor was currently spread out on the table.
Sokka raised an intrigued eyebrow as he approached and lifted up the helmet.
“Whoa, okay I’m starting to see what you mean?” Sokka asked.
“Details?” Toph grumbled.
“It’s all white with black markings,” Zuko said as he brought her hand over to touch it. “I’ve had my best engineers examine it, but they’ve never seen armour built like this before.”
None of them could even guess what nation it was from. Some had been eager to take the whole apart to better understand it, but Zuko denied the request for the time being. At least not until they had a better idea who Shirogane truly was.
Toph was silent as her eyes widened and drew back her hand. “Okay, what is this armour made out of?”
Zuko raised an eyebrow. “I would assume metal..isn’t?”
Toph grasped her chin. “Kind of, it feels a bit like metal except it doesn’t feel like there’s anything for me to grab onto. There aren’t any impurities in it.”
“The style is also weird,” Sokka said as he examined the helmet. “It doesn’t look like Earth Kingdom or Fire Nation.” He tilted his head. “At best...maybe it’s Water Tribe?”
“A Water Tribe assassin?” Zuko asked.
Sokka held it up. “It’s white, so maybe it’s for blending in the snow for sneak attacks?”
Zuko gave him a dry look. “And so he decided to wear it to the Fire Nation where it never snows?”
“I didn’t say he was a smart assassin,” Sokka continued and frowned. “Although, if I’m honest this stuff really doesn’t have a ‘here to kill’ vibe to it.”
“That’s what Uncle said too,” Zuko commented.
It was durable, but no hidden compartments for weapons. Not even a pocket for a dagger to hide. It’s as if the person wanted to clearly display they come bearing no weapons.
“So, this intruder was wearing this?” Toph confirmed.
“And unconscious,” Zuko confirmed. “He claims he means no harm, but what was he doing in the palace then? It makes no sense.”
“Well, why don’t we ask the guy,” Sokka replied as he set the helmet back on the table. “Where is he?”
“In the dungeon,” Zuko said as he turned. “I tried to ask him questions already, but I didn’t get much.”
“Well, you got the ever pervasive Sokka in your corner now,” Sokka said as he placed an arm around Zuko’s shoulder.
“And if that doesn’t work,” Toph said as she punched a fist into her palm, “just let me have a crack at him.”
“I rather his bones remain unbroken,” Zuko added dryly.
“I wouldn’t break them,” Toph said with a shrug, “well not intentionally.”
Zuko shook his head, knowing Toph was joking..well, mostly joking as he led them to the dungeon.
Ling was at the cell and stood straight as soon as she spotted them. “My lord, I did not realize you were coming-”
“At ease,” Zuko said as he raised a hand and looked into the cell. “I just merely wish to question-”
He trailed off as he stared into the clearly empty cell.
“Uh...is this the right place?” Sokka asked.
Zuko took a deep breath and shut his eyes to calm himself. He knew Ling, and she wouldn’t just stand there guarding an empty cell for no reason.
“Ling, where is the intruder?” Zuko asked.
Ling sweated. “I take it you have not been informed yet?”
“Informed of what?” Zuko asked, trying to be careful to keep his temper under check.
Ling rubbed her neck. “That your uncle insisted on inviting the intruder to lunch?”
“HE WHAT?!” Zuko cried.
“Huh,” Toph said as she crossed her arms. “I had wondered why Iroh didn’t join us.”
“Think they got extra komodo chicken?” Sokka asked.
Zuko ignored the comments as he stepped up to Ling. “Where are they?”
“In Prince Iroh’s chambers,” Ling answered.
“And you left them alone?”
“I argued I should remain, but Lord Iroh insisted,” Ling replied.
Zuko groaned as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “Of course he did.”
“Forgive me, my lord,” Ling said with a bow. “I should have-”
Zuko raised a hand. “It’s not your fault for following orders,” he said. “You did nothing wrong.”
Ling nodded. “Do you wish me to escort you?”
“No, thank you,” Zuko growled as he stomped away. “If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to have a talk with my uncle about safety.”
“Before or after you murder him,” Toph snarked as she followed.
“I’m debating,” Zuko muttered darkly.
--------------------------------------------------------
This world was ‘unique’ as Shiro quickly discovered. Apparently, in this world some people had the ability to control the literal elements,  and they had just ended a hundred year war. Shiro was quiet as Iroh gave him what he could only assume was a quick summary of the events.
“So, the Avatar is the only person that can control all four elements,” Shiro replied.
Iroh nodded. “Yes, Avatar Aang, who is currently the only remaining air bender from the war.”
“And the current Firelord, Zuko, helped him overthrow the previous Firelord who was his father,” Shiro repeated.
“Again, correct,” Iroh said as he grimaced. “You will have to forgive his behaviour earlier, we have been having a bit of a ‘tricky’ time with intruders lately. With your sudden appearance, it seemed to be a logical conclusion you were one of them.”
“No, I understand,” Shiro muttered as he stared into his cup. “I can imagine it wasn’t easy having to rule a nation at such a young age.”
Not to mention trying to make amends for a century-long war, Shiro thought. Willing to bet not everyone was happy with him ending the war.
“With that said,” Iroh continued as he sipped his tea, “I believe Aang would be the best person to assist you in returning home.”
Shiro frowned. “How so?”
“Earlier, when I mentioned the Spirit World? The Avatar is a natural bridge between our human world and theirs,” Iroh continued.
Shiro’s eyes widened slightly but then they narrowed. “I can understand your reasoning, but I’ve never crossed through a spirit world.”
“Are you certain?” Iroh said as lowered his cup. “All worlds have a special place where spirits dwell.” He stroked his beard. “Although, I imagine it looks very different and perhaps goes by a different name.”
Shiro shut his eyes in thought. “I can’t really think of a place-”
The Black Lion growled in his mind and an image of an endless sea of stars appeared in his head.
Shiro froze. Oh, right.
“You thought of a place?” Iroh asked.
“Maybe,” Shiro muttered as he rubbed his neck. “It might be a bit hard to explain-”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    “UNCLE!”
Shiro jumped, but noticed Iroh remained as still as a tree.
“Ah,” he said as he lifted his cup and sipped. “I believe that would be my nephew.”
“Nephew?” Shiro asked, but was swiftly cut off by the stomping of incoming feet. He whirled around in time to see a furious Zuko storming into the room.
His hair wasn’t as neatly as tied up as he had during the questioning and his robes were much simpler. Shiro noticed a boy in blue robes and a short girl wearing green entered.
The pair kept their distance as the Firelord locked his furious gaze upon Shiro. He looked ready to yell, but forced himself to take a deep breath.
“What are you doing in my uncle’s chambers?” he asked in a brisk tone.
Shiro blinked and then suddenly Iroh’s earlier words dawned on him. He pointed at the angry young man and turned to Iroh. “The firelord is your nephew?!”
“Why yes of course,” Iroh began but then paused as he stroked his beard. “Oh dear, did I never mention that?”
“Someone better answer me,” Zuko sharply cut in, refusing to be ignored.
“He is here because I invited him to share a meal with me,” Iroh stated calmly and shook his head. Shiro recalled his own grandfather doing inappropriate behaviour. “On that note, you are being very rude to our guest.”
Zuko choked as he kneeled next to his uncle. “Our guest?! UNCLE, HE IS AN INTRUDER!”
“Who has currently done nothing to earn such hostility,” Iroh corrected.
“Do you realize how much danger you put yourself in?!”
Iroh laughed. “I appreciate the concern but we both know I am quite capable of defending myself.”
“That is not the issue here!”
Iroh frowned. “Did you forget to eat? You are always more grumpy when you have an empty stomach.”
Zuko’s eye twitched as the two began to bicker and Shiro wondered if they had both forgotten he was present.
However, the other two people clearly hadn’t as the boy approached and sat next to Shiro.
“Hey, name’s Sokka,” the boy greeted, “and this is Toph.”
“Yo,” the girl waved.
“Um, hi?” Shiro said slowly.
Sokka pointed to the arguing uncle and nephew. “So, they’ll be at that for a bit, and I have a question.” He then pointed to Shiro’s cybernetic arm. “Who made that, and is it possible for me to get one?”
“That’s more than one question,” Shiro replied, “and unless you want to have an arm cut off I wouldn’t recommend it.”
Sokka gave a frown, but then sighed. “Yeah, I guess.”
“What are you talking about?” Toph growled as she pointed to her eyes. “Blind, remember?”
“The metal arm Zuko mentioned,” Sokka said. “It’s right next to you.”
“Got it,” Toph said and before Shiro could stop her, she placed her hand on his cybernetic arm.
Suddenly her eyes widened as she whipped her head around. “What the great spirits is this thing made out of?!”
“I just said metal-” Sokka continued.
“It’s not any metal I’ve felt,” Toph snapped  and she drew back her hand and stared into it. “It’s weirder than the armour. It almost feels like a meteorite but-”
“How about we change the subject,” Shiro said gently.
Even if he wanted to answer her question, he barely knew what kind of metal his arm was made out of anyway.
Toph gave a pout, but was cut off as Zuko growled.
“Enough,” Zuko snapped and pointed to Shiro, “Shirogane’s going back to the dungeon.”
“His name is Shiro and he will do no such thing,” Iroh said calmly and grinned. “Especially when he was just about to grant me a fascinating conversation on what his world is like.”
Dead silence fell into the room as Shiro felt all the eyes slowly turn to Iroh.
“I’m sorry, what?” Sokka asked.
“Our friend here is from a world, a whole universe in fact,” Iroh continued.
Zuko took a deep breath. “Uncle, if this is a joke it is not one of your better ones.”
“It’s not a joke,” Shiro said slowly as he turned to him.
“Ookay,” Sokka replied as he raised an eyebrow and a hand, “and you are in our world because?”
Shiro sighed. “That’s where things get complicated.”

What dnd class would the protags of the stormlight archive play? (Not necessarily based on their surges) and does hoid count as lvl 20 in all classes
All of them are pact of the blade warlocks who dipped into paladin citing “flavor.”
This is Kaladin’s first time playing. He went cleric because he heard that was a good healing class and he wanted to live out his fantasy of actually being able to save people. He didn’t really know the difference between the different clerics, so he just picked tempest domain because it let him fly at higher levels and that sounded cool to him. He’s not the best at the spell economy thing and at low levels he kept using up all his healing at the very start of combat, so he really ended up doing just as much fighting as everyone else. Also tempest clerics can do crazy amounts of damage, especially when scaled against other level one characters, so he immediately became the team’s hardest hitter. He keeps trying to push himself back into more of a support role, but then the moment anything dangerous happens he forgets and just rushes into the center of it.
Shallan has played before. Her last character was this studious, careful wizard, so she wants to try something very different this time. She had planned to play a ranger who knows their way around all the different plants and animals, but then she came up with a really cool character design for a rogue, and so she’s playing a rogue. She came to the table with a simple and elegant backstory about how her character has a criminal past, but she keeps retconning it and adding more layers and plot points and secret identities, and actually her character is PRETENDING to be someone with a criminal background because the truth about her is much worse, et cetera. It’s gotten incredibly convoluted. Her character is an arcane trickster with disguise self, and Shallan draws out a design for every single person or outfit she uses for a disguise.
Adolin decided to play a fighter because there was already a caster and a rogue and he thought it would round out the party. He picked cavalier because he likes horses. So far there has been no opportunity in the campaign for him to ride horses. He accidentally set charisma as his highest stat instead of strength, and the others said it was fine if he changed it, but doesn’t because he feels it would be cheating. Unfortunately a lot of the feats he chose just haven’t come up that much. Shallan and Kaladin’s characters end up being a lot more damage-heavy and combat-effective than his character, even though theoretically he should be pretty strong. While his stat block ends up being a bit disappointing, his character accidentally falls into the role of being the party’s face. He’s great at negotiating, helping others, and discerning the motives of NPC’s. Adolin also finds he enjoys the theatrical roleplaying element of the game a lot more fun than he had expected, even moreso than combat. (Shallan is also a good roleplayer, but her character is very edgy.)
Dalinar doesn’t play with these three that often, but he’s joined them a couple times because Adolin kept asking. The first time, he made his character at the last minute and it was a barbarian because that’s the first class listed alphabetically in the rulebook. He had no idea what he was doing and he forgot to list like half of his abilities on his character sheet, but somehow in the two sets he sat in on, his unnamed barbarian had hard-carried the party through like four chapters of story, rolling so well that he had basically single-handedly won every combat encounter for them on the way. He stopped coming after that, making some excuse like “my character has to return to his homeland to negotiate a peace treaty” and everyone else is like “wait, you’re a barbarian who lives for bloodshed and rage.” Anyway a while later they actually visit his homeland, Dalinar was asked to come back to the table and play his character again. He hadn’t kept his character sheet, so he just made a new one for a higher level version of his character, re selecting literally everything. His character is inexplicably a warlock of the celestial now instead.
Since you asked, Hoid played a campaign in this gameworld a long time ago. Sometimes he’s invited to cameo. I want to say his character is a high level illusion wizard/eldritch knight with a bunch of really cool homebrew feats, but at the end of last campaign he was cursed to not be able to attack anyone. His wizard spells are generally enchantments, illusions, and divinations, so he tells everyone else that his character is a medium/low-level bard who refuses to heal or inspire anyone because he’s just a jerk.

Time to share some of my D&D characters! As I said in an earlier post, these were made in Reroll, a browser program designed for making pixel art of D&D characters, and it works like a doll maker kinda.
Above are the characters from the first campaign I played in very briefly. I never actually played Elri though. He was just a planned backup character that I started before the first session, after realizing how likely it was that Tarloc would die (we had an accidental test session where I realised he loved taking risks, like deliberately activating traps, although I toned down that side of his personality quite a bit when we started playing).
Long post ahead, there’s like 20 characters. Won’t go deep into explaining all of them though.
Tumblr media
Next is Nemesis, a tiefling Wizard (Necromancy school) that I played briefly in a different campaign. I had some really great ideas for how her Necromancy skills could play into her story and morals, and some of that came to fruition during the campaign. She had a really interesting personality too, starting off as a bitter woman who hates everyone, meeting a super smiley bard, and gradually deciding ‘I would die for this one and this one only’, but still giving the ‘I hate you’ attitude when the friend nicknames her Nemmie (especially when the party member she hates starts using it).
Unfortunately though, those are the only characters I’ve really played.
Tumblr media
And now, because tumblr thinks it’s a great idea to not allow people to have multiple images together throughout a post (like I have at the top of the post), every portrait needs to be full-size. Guess this is gonna be a long post.
This is Seymour Aran. When making the portrait, I forgot to give him an eyepatch. His first name is a pun, since I thought it’d be fun to give a man named ‘see more’ one eye.
He’s an NPC planned for the first session of my campaign, a member of the local temple, and he’s partly to blame for the villain of the first session.
Tumblr media
And this is said villain. She thinks the town of Crast (a mountain town built around a coal mine, where the campaign starts) is dismissive and disrespectful towards the dead. So hey, why not change that, by force?
Oh, and she used to be Seymour’s apprentice too.
Tumblr media
Tobias is a friendly face the party meets in the first session. He’s the son of another NPC, but because of lore reasons, he doesn’t know that. Oh, and he’s also a bit of a conspiracist
Tumblr media
A name some of y’all might be familiar with (it was my first URL on this account), this is my Dragonborn ranger that I wanna play eventually, one of my favourite unplayed characters (although I could say that for a lot of them). He was banished from his clan for not taking orders and killing a pretty important character from the clan. His name translates to ‘stubborn and honourable betrayer who does not belong’.
Tumblr media
Another of my Dragonborn, this one’s a Bard. His name translates to ‘traveller who belongs to the keepers’. His clan are keepers of knowledge. He also found another of my favourite characters, Waking Sky, when she was very young, feeling lonely, angry, and afraid, and took her to a monk monestary he knew, who helped raise her and teach her to deal with those feelings.
Tumblr media
She’s 19 now, and still hasn’t entirely learned to deal with those feelings.
Yup, blue hair. In world, her hair is actually a mix of blue, white, and its natural blonde, and she has tattoos of waves on her left arm, but there wasn’t a way to show either of those in Reroll, so I settled for this.
Oh, and she’s a Monk too.
Sky is one of my characters that was originally created for an old fan-fiction project with some friends, which ended up being abandoned, and I translated some of the characters I made for that to D&D.
Tumblr media
This is one of my Paladins. She calls herself an ‘Emissary of the Light’. She grew up in a cavern settlement with her family, but they were forced to flee when it was invaded by goblins. Only a handful of the dark elves survived, including her mother. Her mother was killed when she tried to return a few months later though, and since then Ulstra has sworn to fight for the very light that blinds her (yeah, playing with the rule that makes dark elves have difficulty seeing in normal light conditions).
Tumblr media
Iolanthe is a human Fighter who ran away from her noble family with nothing but her horse, rapier, and the clothes on her back.
Tumblr media
Talvani is a half-orc Rogue who was raised by pirates. They found her as a baby (from an island village they raided), and the first mate thought she’d make for some great muscle for the crew as an adult. The captain didn’t like the idea at first, but let it happen.
Could you imagine pirates raising a half-orc child?
Tumblr media
Valo’s an interesting character. When I started making him, I wanted to make a Druid halfling, but I also wanted to mix in the charlatan background. Really curious how that mixes if and when I play him.
Tumblr media
Arutan’s an undead dwarf from the underground city of Arudel. The city’s dead now, with Arutan being the only ‘surviving’ member. With him being undead though, he’d be kinda complicated to play, so there’d be a lot of back and forth between me and the DM about how that works, if I do end up playing him.
I really badly wanna play a tempest Cleric someday though.
Tumblr media
Another character from that old fan fiction project. The next few are from there too. In the old project, Ghost was the best friend of my self-insert character, who became addicted to player-killing (the project was set in an MMO). I’m kinda thinking he might have a similar arc as a D&D character. Of course, being a criminal, I’d probably need to make sure the DM and players are ok with a party member like that.
Tumblr media
Another character from that fan-fiction project. Translating her to D&D, I decided to work with the Folk Hero background, which isn’t one I’d done before. I don’t really know much else about her though, aside from the traits I picked and a few ideas they’ve inspired.
Tumblr media
Yup, another character from that project. I decided on him being a Guild Artisan for his background, specifically a carpenter. I don’t know much else about him though.
Tumblr media
Sarah’s yet another character from that project. She’s a musician, but just as a hobby, rather than as a Bard class. Her brother ran away to join a circus band, but hasn’t been able to commit to one yet.
Tumblr media
Yup, another from the project. Skarlet’s a Monk, with the Entertainer background. Apparently I forgot both of those details when I made this portrait though, and thought she was a Rogue with the Assassin background. I might remake this, but I do quite like the portrait. Now I’m conflicted, dangit.
Tumblr media
Theriel went on an artifact recovery expedition a few years before present day as a guard to a super secret location. When he realised how dangerous the artifact was though, he made some very difficult decisions, believing them to be best for the safety of the world. And now he’s an Eldritch Knight.
Oh, and Theriel’s the last of the batch of characters from that old project. The character was originally inspired by Jack from Final Fantasy Type-0, particular the character’s ability to make horrible jokes (often at the worst time).
Tumblr media
Sunflower is a Barbarian. A few years back, he was fighting in a war as an infantry soldier, and ended up some super powerful magic dude. He has no memory of how the fight went down though. And now sometimes he gets angry, his memory lapses and he can’t remember what happens. He just knows that, when the memory lapse ends, it’s usually with his sword in a bloody body.

just a bunch of D&D (or really kind of pathfinder) lore questions I want answered and/or random ideas
or rather that I want to explore in a game, given that the game I DM is very infrequent and will be more so since someone’s about to have a baby I should probably just go on Facebook and be like “if I DM-ed a remote game would you play” but anyway that’s besides the point:
1. correct me if I’m wrong but it seems from the free SRD that the pathfinder system doesn’t require subclasses per se and you can just like, be a rogue? Like, subclasses (or archetypes) seem to be more of a build recommendation with specific skills and feats, rather than granting special abilities. It’s like a prefab thing vs. a bunch of modular bits in what is already a very modular system. Which, to be fair, is arguably what subclasses are in D&D 5e in a way, like a fixed selection of feats that kick in at specific times.
2. would love more lore on the effort involved in becoming a wizard. For example, Hamid in RQG is a fairly smart character who studied wizardry but it never worked for him and it turned out that he’s a sorcerer, but like, he’s trained in spellcraft and arcana and he’s intelligent, so why didn’t it work?
3. Adventurers are exceptional but let’s talk about the following possibilities
just-enough-above-average to technically be a certain class, especially for classes that don’t require much inborn specialness - hedge wizards, simple pickpockets, someone who’s kind of better at punching than most. Lots of L1 or 2 NPCs just kind of chilling out there
people who are in fact exceptional, but never really went on the adventuring or specialist path (so I’m discounting like, non-adventuring mages here as well). Someone who learned a little bit about how to harness their ki, but also while they were bumming around a temple they sort of took an oath, they got a bit of archery and wilderness training that one time, a passing entertainer thought they showed some promise... and anyway they’re like overall L5 or 6 with maybe a 13-14 each in dex, strength, charisma, and wisdom but they’ve got a level each in monk, paladin, ranger, bard, and fighter and it’s just like “oh yeah that’s Old Man Jemsin, he’s got a lot of crazy stories but he never did settle down”
people who have to hide their class for some reason as mentioned in my speculation on Ludinus. Warlocks who carry a cheap piece of shit instrument they can barely play to hide that they’re not technically a bard. Arcane archers who feverishly crammed a wilderness guide and stocked up on health potions to get a job as a ranger. Paladins who pretend they’re just a very charming knight.
people who are truly exceptional and just never had the opportunity. Some random INT 18 person who’s the village teacher but if they ever picked up an arcane tome they could become the greatest archmage in a generation. A peaceful lumberjack who would be deadly with any weapon.
class changes after traumatic brain injury or similar dramatic event. Oliver Sack’s Musicophilia has a number of case studies with people who developed a huge love for and even talent for music after dramatic accidents (one got literally struck by lightning). Imagine if you will a barbarian who suddenly no longer felt angry after a particularly brutal fight that left them unconscious, but was for the first time ever able to tap into the music of creation.
sorcerers or clerics who are just like “I know I’m special/chosen, but how about fuck this”
more accidental warlocks, but not even in a Fjord bargain-to-save-their-life way. I think I’ve mentioned this before but I have this idea for a warlock who just got like, really high in the woods and didn’t realize they stumbled into a portal to the feywild.
often sorcerers are very rare and wizards less so but consider a world where that’s flipped (maybe there was like, Genghis Khan, but a dragon, a few generations back, or there was a huge magical accident that gave everyone powers like in comic books) and so it’s shocking to find someone who actually has a solid understanding of how magic actually works, even though tons of people do it.
Because I am a big believer that multiclassing should generally require sufficiently high stats, more cases of brutally average performers and swordsmen but who have a hidden talent. Make the cleric of a god of art a painfully awkward person who never could figure out the music of creation but the deity saw them and decided this devotion deserved a reward. For narrative foil reasons I think a deeply devout worshiper of this god should also realize that they’re doing magic with their music but it sure doesn’t look like clerical magic
the cleric-paladin relationship needs to be explored far more fully than it has been. Do they get along or are the clerics like “hmm you are kind of extra my child” and the paladins are like “DON’T YOU WANT TO GO LAWFUL APESHIT”
fewer pit fights more wizard battles
way more exploration of divine vs. arcane casting in 5e and how utterly ridiculous and arbitrary the division is. I want this to be an ongoing debate between the arcane and divine caster.

VLD3x03 – “The Hunted”
3x03 – “The Hunted”
The Paladins have piloted their Lions to where Lotor’s ship is at some planet (which actually looks like a planet). Allura’s having trouble piloting Blue, and accidentally slams into Yellow. Lance gives a quick comment about Keith’s “hot headed” leadership before asking Allura about Blue (it makes me feel like the bond between Lance and Blue isn’t severed, but I know that’s just me wanting it to be that way). Allura says she’s just having to get used to piloting Blue. I still don’t like the switch or how the show has made Keith lose his intelligence just so that they can make some kind of bit about him not being good at leadership.
Lotor’s just sitting on his ship; he actually looks bored. He takes otu his personal fighter to engage the Lions. Lance/Red accidentally slams into Black. Keith is frustrated with how slow Black is compared to Red. Allura continues with her piloting difficulties.
Pidge, Lance, and Hunk all have a conversation about Allura’s difficulties piloting Blue, all while forgetting that she can hear them. That the three of them would forget how their communications work and that Allura would hear them is absurd. I think the show thinks that this is a funny bit, but it comes across more like a combination of Pidge, Lance, and Hunk’s incompetence and pure disrespect for Allura.
They ask Keith what to do, and he responds, “How about this: Everyone stay out of my way.” Lance responds, “Great leadership.” Keith might not have led this team before, but he’s been a part of this team for a good while now. The idea that he thinks the problem is the rest of them being in his way is not believable. He’s fought with them around him before and not felt they were in his way. This show wanted to do a story of Keith having trouble behaving like a leader, but this isn’t telling such a story. This is suddenly diminishing Keith’s already proven abilities in order to pretend to be a story about him not being good at leadership.
Keith calls for them to form Voltron, but they can’t. Lotor heads away, planning to lure them somewhere. He recognizes that there’s been some change to Team Voltron, that whatever is up with them now, they’re not the same as they were when they defeated Zarkon. Axca and Ezor do a bit of an exposition about the planet Lotor’s going to lure Voltron to, and I don’t find Axca and Ezor interesting in the least.
Planet Thayserix is mostly round like an actual planet, but the absurd spikes sticking up off it would have to be hundreds and hundreds of miles long, so no. There’s a lot of cloud cover on this planet, and Voltron enters it. The planet’s environment messes with the Lions’ systems. Pidge suggests they fall back, but Keith says they have to keep going. The planet is affecting their communications. Allura falls behind a bit, but in trying to keep up slams into rock and hurtles off course. Hunk goes after her.
Keith becomes fixated, obsessively so, on pursuing Lotor. It gives the show the chance to have Lance yell at Keith, and eventually Keith breaks off and they return to where Allura crashed. Lance brings up sticking together and being a team, but Keith says, “It’s not about the team. We have a mission that is more important than any one of us.” What this show is doing to Keith’s character is infuriating. It feels like such a distortion of who he was in the previous two seasons. In the past, he might not have had the skills to be a leader, but he still recognized the importance of a team. To change his character now to make him not care about the team is a retcon, at best. That this show couldn’t think of a way to write Keith having difficulty with leadership that didn’t require writing him out of character is a major failure of the show’s writing.
Keith then decides to attack Lotor alone, but the rest of the team won’t let him go alone, so they follow.
We get some more exposition from Axca. This whole little scene of the generals on the main ship is unnecessary and uninteresting.
When the Lions try to shoot at Lotor, the gas of the atmosphere ignites around them. Allura/Blue gets hurled off into the distance again. Lotor follows after her but can’t find her.
The episode now has Keith confess his fault to Lance. The problem with that is that the specifics of what just happened isn’t a problem with having followed Lotor, it’s a problem with not having someone examine the content of the planet’s atmosphere. Pidge had been gathering some information on the planet such that she made her comment earlier about the planet’s unusual magnetic field, so why didn’t she also check out what the atmosphere was made of?
Pidge tells Hunk she can’t do anything to compensate for the planet’s interference.
In hiding, Allura asks herself, “What would Lance do,” and then she flirts with the Blue Lion. She’s not wrong, the show would have Lance do that, especially since he did just that last episode. This shows that the writers know Lance’s flirtatious behavior is absurd, they just think that it’s okay, interesting, or funny for him to behave the way he does. I do not agree. He could be flirtatious yet not offensive, but the writers don’t know how.
Allura gets sad and asks Blue for help, and she seems to bond a bit with Blue in the process. Lotor’s found her, she flees, and he pursues. Blue suggests the sonic canon, which Allura uses to create a map. I’ve never understood why it takes the Lions in this show so much time to suggest useful options to their pilots. Allura uses the ice blaster and hits Lotor’s fighter, causing Lotor to retreat.
Hunk is chatting with Pidge about food when Allura turns up with the other Paladins because of course he is. Pidge asks how Allura was able to connect with her Lion. Allura says, “I just had to get into a Lance-like mindset and stop thinking so much.” Lance responds, “Are you calling me dumb?” She says, “No, I’m calling you a natural.” She is actually complimenting him. There is something to the idea that a person can get stuck in their thoughts when trying to do something and that it inhibits them in doing it. Also, the better a person gets at something the less they have to think about it when they do it. That’s why practice is so beneficial. Annoyingly, the show writes Hunk to then say, “Yeah, naturally dumb.” Pidge joins in, and then so does Keith briefly. For supposedly being Lance’s friends, they really treat him badly sometimes. It would be nice if the show wasn’t, through Hunk’s and the other’s taunts against Lance here, teaching the idea that it’s okay and supposedly funny to make negative comments about a person’s intelligence. What these supposed friends are doing to Lance is bullying him. Not that the show ever shows us this, but if other people previously in Lance’s life have treated him the way these supposed friends are treating him now, no wonder he has severe insecurities.
Keith gives some kind of generic believe-in-ourselves speech and they form Voltron. Since at the beginning of the episode, the story made a point that they couldn’t form Voltron, it at least fits the narrative structure that they would be able to do so by the end of the episode. It just would have been nice if this moment that supposed to mark the team coming together did not come out of most of the team being mean to Lance.
I really like Allura joyously yelling out, “Hunk, I’m a leg!” That’s a nice callback.
Voltron’s inconsistent power pops up again. This time, they’re able to use their shield to not just block a Galra cruiser’s blast, but reflect it, destroying dozens, if not hundreds of ships. Lotor heads off in one direction, Keith says they shouldn’t pursue and instead regroup and recover.
There is very little that I like in this episode. I like Allura’s Voltron-leg comment, and I like some of her scene when Allura gets quiet in talking to Blue. But that’s about it. I don’t like how the writers have diminished and distorted Keith in order to manufacture leadership problems. None of it fits with what the show has shown of Keith before. I don’t like that the show makes the others picking on Lance seem okay. Lotor and his generals were thoroughly uninteresting in this episode. His generals could have literally been any other Galra characters; there was no reason to include them.
Oh, and during all this, where is the Castle Ship? Was Coran just hanging out off somewhere having tea? Sure, the Lions might have blasted off following Keith from the end of last episode to pursue Lotor, but why was the Castle Ship not involved? The show gave no reason whatsoever to explain Coran’s and the Castle Ship’s absence from this episode.
So, not a good episode, but at least it didn’t take me as long as last episode did to get through it.

Paladins With An S/O Who Accidentally Consumed A Bunch Of Altean Alcohol
Warnings: mentions of alcohol and (accidental) underage drinking.
LANCE
-At first he's pretty confused as to why you're suddenly so giggly and cuddly. -Like sure, you're a pretty touchy couple, but never to this extent? He's on one of the couches in the lounge, and you're sprawled across his lap, staring up at him in adoration. - "You're so handsome and I love you." you tell him, a goofy smile on your face. -He preens at your compliments. -But he's still concerned. This is very out of character for you. -Eventually you complain that you're dizzy, so he decides to take you to the kitchen to make you something to eat. He's worried that maybe you missed a meal. -Upon entering the kitchen, he finds the half-empty bottle you left on the counter.    -You laugh and reach for it, making grabby-hands. He's never seen you react so childishly, and it's kind of funny. -But he finally has a pretty good idea as to why you're acting the way you are. -He tries his best to hide his laughter, but it's difficult. You're just being so ridiculous and cheerful, and your temporary optimism is so contagious... -He does make sure that you don't drink any more of that Altean alcohol, though. And he tries his best to get some water and simple food into your system. -Eventually, when you fall asleep, he cuddles you close and presses his face into your neck. -He also makes sure to ask Hunk to make you some hangover food, just in case. And he doesn't let you near that strange drink again.
KEITH
-He's thoroughly off-put by your sudden change in behavior. -You're pretty cuddly when you're both in private, but now? You're curled up on his lap in the common rooms, quietly whispering miscellaneous things to him. -And some of those things are not appropriate. -Sure, there are times when either of you are particularly affectionate...but you have an unspoken rule to keep the PDA to a minimum. -But now Lance is laughing at him, and Pidge is clearly uncomfortable by how handsy you're getting. - "Alright, Y/N, I think maybe you need to lay down." Or take a trip to the healing pods. -He's slightly worried that you've contracted some weird alien illness. After all, who knows what germs and viruses are in space? -You whine at him that you're not tired, but he brings you to your room anyways. -And he finds a mostly-empty bottle on your nightstand. - "What is this?" he asks, picking the bottle up and scrutinizing the contents. -You shrug. "Dunno. I found it in a crate in one of the unused rooms when I was wandering around the castle. It tasted pretty good, so I took some with me." -He gets it. - "Y/N, this is Altean alcohol." - "Well that explains why I feel the way I do." -You break out into giggles. -Keith shares your laughter, though he's quieter about it. He's glad you're not sick, or doing unwell, and he's certainly happy that your drunken state was an accident. -He makes sure to fully explain to you what happened, once you're sober. And he's makes you promise not to drink an entire bottle of the stuff again. - "One or two occasional shots during parties is fine, but I don't want you to get addicted to this stuff. Okay?" -You'd promise him anything if it meant getting to stay in bed and sleep off your hangover.
HUNK
-Are you having an allergic reaction to something you ate? -Being in space, it's hard to find foods that are similar to those found on earth. And even more difficult to find ones with the same properties. -He remembers he found something similar to broccoli and decided to steam it, only for it to melt into brown goo and stink up the whole kitchen. -You just don't know what's going to happen. -But you assure him you haven't eaten anything strange, and also that his cooking is amazing. -In fact, you nearly smother him in compliments, and then snuggle into his chest. - "Y/N, seriously. Are you sure you haven't eaten anything weird?" - "I'm sure, sweetheart. I mean, I had some water that I found in a crate in one of the castle's storage rooms, but it's just water. It can't hurt me." -He avoids going on a tangent about microbacteria and how dangerous untreated water is. -He's now officially worried that you have an illness akin to food poisoning. So he takes you to the healing pods. -But you guys bump into Coran along the way. -Coran chuckles and makes a joke about you 'getting into the drinks', which prompts Hunk to ask for more information. -Which leads to him find out that, in simple terms, you're drunk as heck. -Hunk laughs at his own disposition to worry about you, and you nearly burst into tears because of how much he cares. Then you go off about how great of a boyfriend he is, and how much you love him. -He indulges you in cuddles and hugs and affectionate gestures, until you're sober. -You promise him, and everyone else, that you're never drinking that weird Altean stuff ever again.
PIDGE
-She's one of the only two who can automatically tell that you're drunk. -Not that's she's been around a lot of drunk people. -But she's pretty knowledgeable, so she recognizes the signs. -"Y/N, I'm certain that wasn't water you just drank." -You try to convince her that you're not intoxicated, but it really doesn't work. -At first, she's a little uncomfortable with the whole thing. The only drunk people she's ever seen have been miscellaneous college students (at a distance) and occasionally one of her Aunts during family gatherings. -She doesn't know what to do, or what to expect. -But luckily, as it turns out, you're just a cuddly, curious, dork. -Maybe you disrupt her work flow a little bit, but you keep asking her really interesting questions. -And you keep praising her on her ability to discover things and find answers. -Eventually, she relaxes. Because it's you, and she knows you. Now it's just you with no shame, but still with all the love and respect you have for her. -She indulges you in your curiosities, and you both search for the answers to your questions together. -Though, after about an hour and a half, you fall asleep. -As was expected. -She smiles fondly and drags you to the nearest couch, arranging you so you don't get a sore neck. -She absolutely makes fun of you when you have a hangover the next day. -You swear on your own grave that you're never drinking again, even accidentally.
SHIRO
-He's the other one who automatically knows you're drunk. -Actually, you probably know too. -"Shiro, I found some bottles of stuff in a crate in a storage room. Don't freak out, but I drank one of them." -He does freak out at first, and wants to put you in a pod. -Allura assures him that the liquid you drank was only an Altean alcohol, and was not much stronger than Earth Wine. -You should be fine in a few hours, though you may exhibit strange behaviours until then. -Shiro laughs quietly. He’s familiar with how you act when you're drunk. -Headcanon that as students at the garrison, you'd sneak little shots of alcohol into your rooms, and celebrate your successes together (aced tests, passed exams, etc.) even though you didn’t do it often. -But he also knows how shameless you get when you're intoxicated, and how many embarrassing moments it has led you to. -So he carries you to his room and keeps you there. Not that you're much obliged. In fact, you're quite content to just lay on his chest and listen to his heartbeat. - "I love you, Shiro." you tell him. -" I love you too?" - You raise your head, and look him dead in the eye. "Shiro, no. I really, really love you. You're the light of my life. I'm so proud of you for everything that you've overcome, and just...I love you. I wanna marry you someday." -He's shocked into silence at that. He knows that you're a chatterbox when you're drunk, saying whatever pops into your head, whenever it pops into your head. -But you're also blatantly honest. - "You want to marry me?" -You nod, and press your face into his neck. - "One day, hopefully. Not yet, though. We're not ready. But when all this is over and we can go back to Earth? I hope we get to have a wedding, and maybe bring a kid into our family. But maybe a dog or a cat first?" -You go off on a tangent, about the life you want to have with him one day, and he listens intently. -He's so in love with you, oh my god.
ALLURA
-Okay I lied. -There are three people who know that you're drunk, right off the bat. -But Allura is the only one who knows what you've been drinking. - "You found some aged nunvil, didn't you?" she asks. -You shrug, because you honestly don't know. All you know was that it was sweet and pretty delicious, and nothing like the alcohols you've tasted on earth. You thought is was harmless, so you took a bottle. -You apologize profusely to her, worried that you've somehow offended her by being drunk in her presence. -She hides a (pretty) smile, and assures you it's alright. She remembers clinging to her father's side while he dealt and conversed with dignitaries who'd had too much to drink. -You still feel guilty, that you've put her in this situation again. -She appreciates your concern, but at this point in her life, it's actually quite funny. Especially since she knows you, and she knows how you feel and think. She's not worried that you'll overstep your bounds, and if you do, she knows that you'll immediately apologize. -You very seriously promise her that you would never do anything to hurt her. -For the most part, you just ask her questions that you were too nervous to ask before. You know, things about Altea, what it was like, the politics, etc. But you always assure her that if she's ever not comfortable answering anything, then she's not obliged to in any way. -One you get tired out, you put your head in her lap, and talk quietly to her about yourself. -You tell her about your life on Earth; what it was like, the friends you had, the experiences you made, the places you went. And quietly, you tell her; "I want to take you to Earth one day. When this war is over, I want to show you my home. I want you to have a place you can settle down at. Even if it doesn't happen to be Earth." -Then you blabber on about how you look forward to sharing the rest of your life with her. -She's a little sad that it took some alcohol to get you to open up like this, but she's also glad that she now knows these things about you. -Earth customs are different than Altean customs, so she'll try her best to get you to open up in the future, despite what you’ve learned is 'polite' while growing up. She wants to know everything about you. -She also makes you the best breakfast to cure a hangover, and you are eternally grateful.

A Step-by-Step Guide to D&D 5e Character Creation
One topic that always comes up at some point in a players career is character creation. Some individuals absolutely love character creation, others dread the work that is involved in it. As a new player, this task can be daunting without any knowledge of what is required.
At first mention I had passed off the idea of creating this guide. It’s not that I believe that this knowledge isn’t important, just that there is a step-by-step guide in the Player’s Handbook (PHB pg. 11). For many this information is sufficient, this is the way that I got into creating characters. I however am not everyone, and some individuals still struggle with character creation.
Assumptions in Writing This Guide
I need to start this entire article off right. I am not your Dungeon Master. None of the steps I present are a replacement for the way your DM does their character creation. My suggestion is to talk with your DM when going over this guide. Use this as a starting point for that conversation. Let’s make some characters.
To keep this article from doubling in length I am going to assume that you, the reader, understand the game and character sheets enough to write down what features you gain from your choices. If there is a demand for it I can go more in depth about aspects of the standard character sheets.
I am not going to cover multiclassing. If you are using this guide to create your first character I do not recommend you get into multiclassing as it increases in complexity and makes character creation just that more complicated.
Step 1: Character Concept
If there is one thing that is not covered in the PHB step-by-step guide its discussing the core concept of a character. Now if you are not concerned with making an interesting character or you already have a character you want to play feel free to skip this step.
Whenever I start out making a character that I want to invest any extended period of time in, I always try to come up with the elevator pitch of a character idea. The elevator pitch for a recent character I made called “Blade-Shield” was “a robot taken over by nature and tasked with protecting it”. It’s simple, to the point, and gives you a place to start creating the rest of the character. I will be using Blade-Shield as a example for several of the ways to make choices based off of this elevator pitch. This elevator pitch is what you should present to your DM for approval, since you are possibly playing in their setting and they are the ones possibly planning the story.
If you are struggling with creating this elevator pitch I recommend learning more about the setting you will be playing in. It can be difficult coming up with something new if you have zero constraints, so figuring out all the creative constraints of the setting can help reduce the possibilities. Brainstorming with other players is another way to help come up with this. Social media is a great place to get character ideas as well. Trying to drill down to where character ideas come from is like trying to explain colors to a blind person, you know it exists but its difficult to explain.
Step 2: Pick a Race
This is a fairly simple step, when looking at your elevator pitch it’s possible that you can determine what race you pick from it. For Blade-Shield I picked a Unearthed Arcana race called Warforged, which is basically D&D robots. If your elevator pitch does not immediately give away what race you should pick then start to read through the races that are available to you in the campaign setting. Once this choice has been made make note of the traits on your sheet, keeping in mind the ability score changes because these will be important later.
Side note, I realize that it is not the best idea to have included a character with a race that is not standard to the game for this section of the article. I did this for other characteristics of the character later in this guide. I have an extensive knowledge of non-standard content for D&D 5e. I recommend for your first character is to stick to the Player’s Handbook. As you get some experience in the hobby there are several resources for finding non-standard playable races.
Step 3: Pick a Background
I was actually shocked when I found this was not found in the PHB guide. This is important because every background actually includes proficiencies and equipment. This is often the most missed aspect of a character during character creation. On occasion I have even forgotten about its existence. Each background includes a description of what it is along with the proficiencies and equipment.
At this point you may run into gaining a skill proficiency that you already have. This can happen if you chose a race that gets a skill proficiency that your background also grants. If this happens then nothing special happens, you don’t get to choose another proficiency, you don’t gain expertise, you do not collect $200, or pass Go.
This is the point that it is usually recommended to fill out the boxes labeled Personality Traits, Ideals, Bonds, and Flaws. The background you picked does have some tables that you can look at for suggestions but that is all they are, suggestions. You can take the time to flush out your character more at this point or you can wait until you determine more functionality of your character. Sometimes it is useful to roll stats or pick your class before filling these out as you still might not have a full idea of the character. Filling these out however can also lead to a better idea of what class you want or what ability scores you should focus on.
With Blade-Shield I chose the Soldier background, as I saw them as a war machine of the distant past. Their Personality Traits were that they were logical, which also later becomes bit of a flaw. Their ideals are to protect nature, at the cost of even of themselves. Their bond is that their memory is corrupted and outdated, with the need to fill in all the gaps. Their flaws are a bit more complicated.
Character Flaws
It is easy for us to want to create perfect characters, the ones that can do no wrong and always make the right decision, especially when we first start creating characters. In liter. From experience I have found these characters are not fun. There is no drama when a character always does everything perfectly, it's just not great storytelling. I encourage that everyone come up with some flaw that you will have fun playing with. For Blade-Shield his major flaw is that they cannot distinguish the difference between someone telling the truth and lying, and they remember most everything that characters tell him. This has led to some of the best roleplay experiences I have had in recent memory. This flaw does not have to be major. It could be as simple as hoarding spoons to having the desire to steal anything not nailed down. Whatever makes the most sense for your character, the mightiest of heroes are often more flawed than stories make them out to be.
Step 3.5: Alignment
I include this in a separate step because it can be a heated topic. Recently I have asked players to not put down an alignment, but that is just how we play. Your DM may ask you to put down an alignment. Discussions of the different alignments is too long of a topic for this article, so I will recommend you read this page (PHB pg 122, Basic Rules pg 34).
Step 4: Pick a Class
This step is probably the most important one you will make when it comes to determining your play experience in D&D. This is because a majority of your features you get, and will get, come from your class. Your class even determines when you get ability score improvements. Choosing your class will also determine what ability scores you will want your main focus to be when the time comes to generate ability scores. Overall this isn’t a step to breeze over.
Once you have picked your class this will determine your saving throw proficiencies, skill proficiencies, health, and equipment (I cover this later). Following your elevator pitch (and the personality traits if you have them) to help you choose these. Having picked out your race and background before your class will make sure you don’t have to come back to your skill proficiencies because you accidentally chose one that one of those two already gave you.
With Blade-Shield I had a few options. The main was Druid, but I didn’t feel it fit because of their soldier background and more war-like nature. I decided on a Paladin of the Oath of the Ancients. This is where having a broader knowledge of what is available comes in handy. I knew that his focus would be on strength. I was going to focus less on spell casting as a past player of mine drew me to the idea of the spell-less paladin. Their spell slots were all used for smiting. Blade-Shield’s holy symbol was going to be a flower that had rooted itself on their head, possibly the reason for his malfunctioning. Maybe the flower is controlling them, who knows.
Step 5: Generate Ability Scores
Before you can start making skill checks and saving throws you need your ability scores. Generating these are about the widest range of ways that a player and DM can choose to do. Each DM has their own preferences and you absolutely need to talk to them before going into this. I will cover the variety of ways that one can go about this. Once you have generated your ability scores, make sure to add those racial modifiers you get from the race you picked in Step 2.
Roll for Them
The most common approach I have seen, and I personally use. The core of this is that you use the dice to determine what your ability scores are. The most common way is to roll four d6’s and keep the highest three, six times. You then take those numbers and choose what ability scores you put them in.
Even this is varied. Personally I let players roll two different sets of numbers using the 4d6 drop the lowest six times. I then let the players choose which of the two sets they want to use for their ability scores. I do this to account for edge case rolls, like rolling all ability scores below 10 or all of the scores are completely average. I have also seen the order of rolling for stats determine what ability score they are associated to, leaving the choice out of the players hands.
Standard Array
There exists a magic list of numbers that D&D calls the Standard Array. This is a list of numbers that you can use for the ability scores of a character. This array is:
15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8
Take each of the numbers and assign them to the ability scores of your choice. This is my technique of choice when creating pregenerated characters as it keeps everyone at about the same skill level, and its quicker. You will notice that the difference between this technique and rolling is that the maximum you can get for an ability score is 15 vs the 18 of rolling. This technique is more stable versus the risk that comes with rolling.
Point Buy
A system that I often see used by individuals who love turning character creation into a game of maximizing some abilities is the ability to pick your ability scores using a pool of points. You start with 27 points, and each ability score is worth a different amount of points detailed here:
15 - 9 pts
14 - 7 pts
13 - 5 pts
12 - 4 pts
11 - 3 pts
10 - 2 pts
9 - 1 pts
8 - 0 pts
From here you can generate an entire array of ability scores by “purchasing” each ability score. I personally do not like this system as much, not because of the math involved, but because of the mentality that this type of ability score generation can create. I understand the desire for min-maxing your scores and that it is a variation of fun, it just isn’t what I enjoy having at my table.
Embrace Low Scores
From my experience playing I get upset when I don’t roll a score below 10. Yeah, I love a low score. This goes back to having character flaws, but this is built right into the system. Do you want to be running the big, brute Barbarian? Give him a low Dexterity and laugh when he fails an acrobatics check, or dread when you need to use that acrobatics to save a teammate. Low ability scores create tension and drama. It will give you a sense of joy if you overcome the odds of having a low score. Embrace failure. Embrace the low ability scores.
Determining Modifiers
Remembering modifiers can be difficult if you have not dealt with character generation much. There are a few ways you can look at it. First is with a simple equation: (ability score - 10) á 2 (round down). Second is to remember that every even number above 10 adds one to the modifier, and every odd number below 10 decrease the modifier by one, remembering that the modifier of 10 is +0 (e.g. 12 and 13 are +1, 14 and 15 are +2, 8 and 9 are -1 and 6 and 7 are -2). The last ways is memorization of the table in the PHB pg 13 (Basic Rules pg 7).
Step 5.5: Higher Level Characters
If you are making a character above 1st level you will need to go through the process of leveling up for each level. This may change your starting equipment, talk with your DM to determine what else you get at this level. For new DM’s there is a table in the DMG on pg 38 to help you determine the starting equipment. This will change many of your bonuses for the ability score improvements (if you start at 4th level or above).
Step 6: Equipment
There might be some confusion as to why I waited for equipment until after ability score generation. I choose to do it this way since some of your ability scores will help determine what equipment you choose to take. While each class has a list of equipment that they can choose from, you can alternatively instead roll for starting gold and purchase everything you choose to start with (another reason picking a background first is helpful). All information on the equipment and starting gold starts on PHB pg 143.
For example, if you are a Fighter but have decided that your main score is Dexterity then you may want to pick up a finesse weapon. If you don’t like the starting equipment a class starts with then you taking the purchasing route lets gives you more variety, but you need to keep in mind your class’s proficiencies.
Step 7: Health and Hit Dice
Each class has a listed hit die value. This is the core of how much health you have. At first level your health is equal to the max number on the hit dice ( 6 for a d6, 8 for a d8, etc) plus your Constitution modifier. This hit die value is also your hit die, which you have a total equal to your class level (e.g. if you are a level 3 Barbarian, you have 3 d12 hit dice).
Each time you level, assuming you are creating a character above first level, then you have a choice for how much health you get each level. You can either take the average of your hit die (4 for a d6, 5 for a d8, 6 for a d10, and 7 for a d12) or you can roll that die and take the result. You then add your Constitution modifier to the number you get for that level and increase you maximum health by that much. Repeat this for each level.
Step 8: Filling in Bonuses
For this section there is a general rule to keep in mind: if your class/race augments any of the covered bonuses, the class/race takes precedence over what is listed here. Most of the time these augments are an addition to existing mechanics of the game so keeping note of them is important. Make sure to review all of your racial and class features when going through this section.
Once you have picked up what equipment you want it's time to start filling out them on the sheet. The weapon’s section lets you write down the weapons you have access to, your attack bonus is equal to the ability score associated with the weapon (Dexterity if it is ranged/finesse, Strength for everything else including thrown) plus your proficiency bonus IF you are proficient with the weapon. The damage is the damage die of the weapon plus the ability score associate with the weapon. Your armor determines your armor class (AC) depending on the type of armor that you got. The AC calculation is found on the armor table (PHB pg 145).
Initiative is simple. It is your Dexterity modifier.
For spellcasters you have two numbers to keep in mind: your spellcasting ability modifier and spell save DC. These are listed in your class, but now you have the numbers to fill these in. Several classes also determine the number of spells they can prepare based on an ability score modifier, make sure to keep track of this number if you are one of these classes (you will know from reading the spellcasting section of your class features).
Lastly make sure that any features or abilities that mention an ability score modifier, make sure to fill those in with the modifier (e.g. Dragonborn’s Breath Weapon, Paladin’s Lay on Hands) . This includes skills, which if you are proficient in you also get to add your proficiency bonus to as well. Treat saving throws the same as skills when generating bonuses. One number associated to your skills you may see on your character sheet is the Passive Perception. This number is simply 10 plus the Perception bonus you have.
Conclusion
That should be everything! It seems like a lot, but hopefully this guide will help you learn the process of creating a character, not just filling out the form.

Langst Mini Fic #10: Blank
Soulmate wasn’t necessarily meant that two people should be involved romantically. There were many forms of love, many shapes of bonds. There was the platonic one, the familial bond, or the everlasting friendship that none would ever be able to cut.
In their world, it didn’t matter which family you belong with or to whom you share your flesh and blood. The family tree most of the time did not meant that you share a deep connection with them. They have bar codes tattooed in their body the moment they came to life. A single touch from another would trigger the codes to change into names, it was the soulmate sign. It was completely normal for siblings not to get along that much, for them not to share the familial bond but find it to another person that was completely unrelated to them by blood.
Now, this did not mean that families do not share love to each other. They did, it was just not as deep as the soulmate bond though.
For all of this…Lance was the odd one.
He was a blank. No codes printed to any part of his body. No connection to anyone, neither romantic nor platonic.
Most people gave him pity, others scorned him and thought for all his smiles and kind gestures Lance was just a kid with a cold heart unable to love. But that last thought was a lie and those who were close with him knew this.
No one could make their Mother smile like little Lance. No one could make his brothers and sisters get along so well unless Lance was in the room. No one could make their Father laughed like there was not tomorrow like Lance. No one could make the little nieces and nephews running around to start behaving by promising all sorts of things like Lance.
So why Lance could not have what all humans have? Why he could not have that deep connection, that feeling that he could trust someone with all his heart and soul? Why he was not allowed to have a place he could truly call home?
As time passed, Lance learned to accept this fact on his life. But he prided himself to be able to support and relate to anyone physically and emotionally.
When Hunk and he met at the Garrison, Lance deluded himself that he was Hunk’s best friend. Everyone knew this was not true but hey, someone could dream and there was no rules forbidding anyone to be friends to someone that you do not share a bond with. So for all it was worth, they could pretend…
And then someone named Pidge Gunderson came to the picture. A simple handshake and the bar code tattooed on their right hand changed from a series of vertical lines to three varying sized gears. It was the time that Lance needed to stop his game.
He was not Hunk’s best friend in the first place, it was Pidge all this time. And no matter how the kid tried to distanced himself away from them Lance knew that Hunk would never give up to get closer to the person he shared a friendship bond. The soulmate mark never lies. Lance saw everything unfold before him when they were blasted in space.
Hunk and Pidge had the friendship bond. Shiro and Keith had the sibling bond.
Alteans had a different way in knowing their soulmate bonds, this was something that Coran explained to them when he got curios at the others tattoos. The royal adviser told them that Alteans, and reluctantly the Galra, shares eye contact to others and their hearts will give a beat different from they were used to. It was a magical experience according to Coran. It was just they already know if that person would be family or their significant other.
Coran and Allura shared the familial bond.
When Voltron was formed, when it was established that they were the Paladins that would defend the universe, they realized that all of them share that familial bond. All of them…
Except Lance…for he was a blank.
He learned to accept this fact.
But realizing that even outside of earth…that Lance had no one…maybe he really just have a cold dead heart all this time.
“Stop…stop throwing such words at me, Lance.” He knew that Keith was just tired of everything. Losing Shiro a second time was taking its toll to the Red Paladin of Voltron. From the way his eyes tried to suppress the impending water works to the way his frowns starts to be a permanent thing on his face, Lance knew that whatever would come out Keith’s mouth was something he must not take to heart. His friend was hurting. It was normal that harsh words would be thrown out.
“You do not understand anything!” Lance saw the way Keith curled his hands in an attempt to control his anger. He was not far too lost to start throwing punches then, Lance would consider this a plus. “You, of all people in this…this war ridden universe! You! Do not understand what it feels! What all of us feels right now! You are a blank!”
The moment those words escaped Keith’s mouth Lance knew that the other immediately understood what he said from the way his eyes widened in shock to the way his mouth hanged open in disbelief. Lance knew that Keith did not meant it, it was just emotions talking right not. It was enough for Lance. Those words did not hurt him anymore for it was the truth.
Lie
“Lance…I…”
“It’s alright, man!” Lance shoved his hands on the pocket of his jacket. He plastered an assuring smile to calm down everyone in the room that started to be filled by a stifling awkwardness, “We all miss Shiro, Keith. You are not the only one that is hurting right now. You said it yourself. Hunk, Pidge, Coran, and Allura are worried about Shiro too. We are a team. Just because we are looking for a new pilot doesn’t mean we are giving up on our leader.”
No one missed the way Lance deliberately erased himself from the picture.
When he was a little child his Mother used to remind him about something from the very day that Lance could understand what it meant for being a blank.
“The heart will always yearn for a home. Just because you do not have a mark does not mean that there are no people out there waiting for you. Just wait my little ocean, my sweet, sweet star. The day will come where you will find your home.”
At first he thought it was just words to make him feel good. To erase the bitterness he was feeling whenever he saw the bar codes adorning the body of his siblings and nieces and nephews. It never crossed his mind that those words carry a whole truth.
It was a brief moment, a short encounter during their fighting against Lotor’s soldiers. But there and then…Lance knew that he found what he was looking for all this time.
The way those female Galra stopped for a moment, their eyes widening in recognition, the way they started to try to make distance between Lance and the rest of the Paladins, and the way they tried not to hurt the newly Red Paladin of team Voltron…Lance knew…he now knew…where he belonged.
The female Galra that appeared to have a ‘head tail’ (or as how Lance dubbed it in his head), grabbed him by the arm and started running away from the rest of the team. Of course the others chased after them because in a grand scheme of things, Lance was still a Paladin of Voltron up to this very moment.
But the heart will always yearn for its home.
Lotor was surprised at the extra baggage his generals brought back to him. At first he thought that they brought a prisoner with them, a way to hinder Voltron from following them. When he voiced such thoughts it was the first time that the women around him openly growled, growled, at him and started to form a protective circle around the Paladin they brought with them.
He merely scoffed at the blatant display of disrespect against the Prince of Galra Empire. Nevertheless, he still walked forward until he was in front of the Paladin.
“Removed your helmet. I want to see the face of the person whom my soldiers brought to me.”
And then he met a pair of blue eyes that he never thought would make his heart beat unlike before. So that was why….
Lotor smiled at the Paladin and ruffled his hair.
“Welcome aboard, little brother.”
Who knew Lance had a bit of Altean genes in his body and that he shared a familial bond with Lotor and the rest of his generals?
You know...I will really appreciate to know your thoughts about my writings. I need to know if I should continue writing the ideas in my head, if there are people out there who wants to read my stories...cause honestly...not knowing what people thinks about my works just make me sad.
So, which among my fics you want to be updated:
Playmates
Langst Mini Fics
The Alternates
or one of these prompts given to me a very long time ago:
A) Lance overdosing. Accidentally or otherwise. Maybe he just can't sleep so he takes a few more than usual
B)  Sniper Lance... but this time as a prompt?
C) Lance doesn't feel an emotion and everything he shows is just an act. Like when he sees someone sad he thinks "I should comfort them, right?" or something like that.
D) Lance over hears the team talking bad about someone and him having insecurity thinks it's about him and leaves before he could hear they were talking about Lotor. As days go by lance starts freaking out over every mistake he makes and one day he just breaks down and the team comforts him. (when did I received this request prompt?)
E)  lance has this god like ability that kills any living thing by touching with his bare hands. He didn't know that he could do this and always thought it was just bad luck (the deeper he loved the faster the death was) until he touched his first love. After that whenever someone says jokingly 'die' he gets really pissed and angry. Because of this he tries to stay happy all the time and cherishes all lives. And when one of the paladins almost touched his bare hand he cried
F)  Lance shutting himself out to the team and they are trying to help him but he doesn't want to be helped because it makes him believe that he's weak if he's helped
G)  What if they are trapped in illusions where they must insult the other paladins to escape it (but not real paladins, they insult imaginary ones). So everyone picks one thing and says it to the fake paladin like a bad cook, horrible social skills, etc.. but Lance refuses because he knows what it's like for family to hurt him and he doesn't want to hurt his space family.
H)  I would like to see some blue lion angst in which Lance actually rejects Blue. Since the bond cannot be forced, Blue can't do anything but wait. Idk, I'm just throwing out ideas. Lance might want to go home or it could relate to the Garla~
I)  just wondering if you could do a Blind!Lance thing-a-majig?
J)  Lotor challenge Voltron to a gauntlet where he pits the Paladins against his strongest warriors until Lance challenges him to a game of wit, personally. Lance bests Lotor and Shiro has to drag him out after the entire army descends upon them...
Send me an ask which one you want to be updated and majority vote will win.

Does anyone have any Inara headcannons? I just unlocked her (im still kinda new to the game) and Inara is absolute bae, please give all your ideas lol
YOU HAVE COME TO THE RIGHT PERSON MY FRIEND. -Mod Inara
-Because Inara is so huge (I mean, stone giant goddess am I right?), she is able to easily reach some of the higher tree branches (higher for people of an average human size at least) without any effort, where squirrels, chipmunks, or small birds like to perch on. She likes talking to them and letting them climb onto her head and shoulders frequently. Sometimes certain birds makes nests on those branches, and Inara loves to watch them grow. If they fall out of it, she likes to gently pick them up and carry then back when she can.
-She doesn’t technically need to eat or drink since she is made of stone, but she does occasionally at get-togethers with the other Paladins. She doesn’t actually have a sense of taste though, so she just says everything is good. She’s also immune to poisonous foods, at least when she ingests it, which scared everyone a little when she accidentally ate some highly toxic mushrooms once and came out fine.
-Inara dislikes large bodies of water quite a bit. While she’s never in immediate danger while submerged, she always sinks straight to the bottom and her senses and abilities are dulled significantly with no direct contact with to Mother Earth (as the water is usually another spirit’s domain). Whenever they’re fighting on Frog Isle or Fish Market especially, anyone with a knockback ability has to make sure Inara isn’t sent flying off into the waters near the end of the match, lest she doesn’t make it to respawn and they have to send Makoa in to hull her heavy form back to land because she can’t navigate on her own down there. The worst incident was when Torvald sent her a little too far with his Ult and she almost wandered into a deep sea trench.
-Out of all the Paladins, Inara is closest with Cassie, Makoa, and Grover. She loves Zigs, and sometimes likes to bring him special snacks from the forest, and would weave flower crowns with Cassie. Makoa is a familiar person to her, and the only one she knew personally before joining the Paladins (not counting her meeting with Cassie), and she finds comfort in quiet, relaxing days with him. Grover was born of nature, like Inara herself, so she feels a sense of kinship with him.
-Ice Walker Inara was an actual thing at one point, and the result of a curse placed on Inara centuries ago. Inara doesn’t particularly like the memories of those times, as she had caused quite some destruction during that time. She actually retains some of her icy powers, but never uses it for fear of the curse returning. I wanted to write a bit of a darker HC for her. I might write the fic out if people are interested.
-Inara is often underestimated by unsuspecting enemies outside the Paladins due to her motherly nature. However, like Mother Nature herself, Inara is more than capable of unleashing powerful fissures and devastate anything and anyone who threatens the things she cares about. She isn’t the Stone Warden for nothing after all. She simply holds herself back a lot because there is no need to use all her power in matches.

Skeletons in the Closet
A summary of my bone boy’s shenanigans over the past two sessions of D&D, so it’s a long one! More below the cut!
So after our last misadventures in The Cultist Cave in which the party (minus Bagga) went on a murder spree and killed a bunch of Troglodytes for their trash pile, the party is ready to ask Bagga what is UP with you. Bagga is, of course, incredibly averse to revealing his secret and manages to stall for time, telling them that he’ll reveal everything when they get back to the base because he needs some time to figure out HOW he’s going to explain this. They get to the entrance of the cave where they had the Asshole Brother Cultist ™ tied up the night before. However he is unresponsive and the party realizes ‘oh shit, he’s dead’. They have no idea what happened to him, because surely a single afternoon without dinner while sheltered inside their cave shouldn’t have been enough to kill a guy. But Bagga feels responsible for this and decides to bring the body back to their base so they can at least let Lurtfen know what happened.
As they make their way to the mouth of the cave, however, a mass of roiling shadows rose up from the ground and formed into a massive armored figure with only a single glowing red light in it’s visor. This figure, The Pursuer raised his hand and pointed at Bagga.
 “ATWELL...”
And Bagga has some pretty strong feelings about people knowing who he is and what his real name is and this sets him on edge because this scary big shadow guy just rose up from the dirt and whatever circle of hell to call him the fuck out. He is put even more on edge when The Pursuer then immediately focuses on him and attacks him with his bigass greatsword. He continues to just focus every single attack on Bagga until he’s brought down and as he dissolves back into shadow a flask falls to the ground and The Pursuer is gone.
They mess around with the flask a bit but can’t figure out what it does. Two members drink the contents but it tastes like something close to gasoline. However, the bottle is faintly glowing/shimmering on one side and they can’t seem to figure out why. Alabaster Shale, Legendary Bard Extraordinaire decides to Identify it and pockets it for later.
Eventually, the party returns to the base and Bagga just really awkwardly speedwalks his way to his friend Ember, a dwarf lady who is a Homebrew class called a Weaver with spider-based abilities and spells played by @shwiffy. She’s the closest thing that Bagga has to a best friend and arguably knows the most about Bagga’s past and who he is as a person. She noticed his hat of disguise pretty early on in their friendship and had asked why he uses it all the time. Bagga told her a half truth and let her know that he preferred to keep certain details to himself. He told her that he’d been horribly disfigured by a fire and didn’t want to attract any attention based on how he looked.
But now dwarf lady can’t ignore her very tall friend speedwalking his way over who is VERY BAD at trying to hide how concerned he is. He asks her if he could speak to her privately and she follows him to his room which he IMMEDIATELY SECURES before sitting down on his bed in defeat. He begins to tell her how the team now knows that he’s disguised and that it’s a problem. She obviously realizes that she’s missing something here because figuring out he’s a burn victim shouldn’t be this big of a deal. Bagga starts stumbling over his words, trying to explain but finding it difficult to admit it outright. But Ember is actually pretty keen. She looks young, but as a dwarf she’s at least 60 and she’s been around the block a few times and at this point really starts piecing together the puzzle, all of Bagga’s strange habits and mannerisms, his past that she only has a few major details of, him being estranged from his family, not to mention that one time when he healed her and she realized his hands were a lot... thinner than she’d expected.
“That fire... you didn’t survive, did you?”
Bagga lost his words and couldn’t meet her eyes. So he simply took off his gloves and rested his hand in hers which was answer enough. But Ember is a good friend and she’s less frightened and more astonished. She asks him if he’ll take off his disguise so she can actually see him, but he doesn’t want to frighten her.
“Frighten me? Hah, no, it’s fine. I’ll be fine, I’m ready.”
Tumblr media
And so, Ember accompanies him as he dons his disguise again and they go out to meet with the rest of the team. On their way, Alabaster runs up to them and stage whispers to Bagga that “I know your secret! Here, drink this!” and shows him the flask from before.
Bagga is obviously taken aback because whAT DO YOU MEAN YOU KNOW MY SECRET WHAT IS THIS NO I’M NOT DRINKING THAT! And it devolves into an argument of ‘No seriously! Look it only glows in YOUR direction!’ and sure enough, whatever side Bagga is on near the bottle glows and when he shoves it into his hands it glows a brilliant sparkly white/gold. Bagga is like ‘what does it do????’ ‘No, it’s fine just drink it!’ ‘I’M NOT DRINKING IT UNTIL I KNOW WHAT IT IS.’ ‘TRUST ME JUST DRINK IT’
At that moment, the Team’s leader, Jeff, a silver dragonborn paladin, gets bored and takes a BEEN out of his bag and starts to plant it. Bagga looks over, as does Ember and Alabaster and that’s when everyone goes AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
The BEENZ are rather infamous now. Picked up on Bagga’s first session with this team, they’re Magic Beans that when planted and watered, sprout into anything from tiny purple mushrooms that SHRIEK in daylight to AN ENTIRE FUCKING PYRAMID WITH AN EVIL MUMMY LORD INSIDE. The most notable thing to sprout from it being the Frog Incident ™ in which eleven tiny hot pink frogs sprouted from the ground and, when touched, appear to turn into anything from a Hunter Shark that can only flop around uselessly on the ground to AN EFREETI.
And sure enough, enter THE FROG INCIDENT 2: RETURN OF THE FROGS ™
And while they are dealing with ALL OF THESE FROGS/MONSTERS  a set of FIVE HILL GIANTS emerges from the treeline and begins to attack. Bagga gets helped by a unicorn that spawned from one of the frogs, they have a gold dragon wyrmling now because she also came from a frog, the silver Dragonborn Monk, Steve, is punching a doppleganger in the face because it turned into him and we don’t know which one is the real Steve so we leave him to his suplexing, and Bagga is PERSONALLY OFFENDED by the Flameskull that spawned alongside some other creatures.
EVENTUALLY the creatures are dealt with and we manage to rest a little while. Before Bagga is able to continue to try to come clean with the group though, a patron of our Inn/Base asks us to accompany him to The Forge- an area where you can toss a shit ton of gems into a fire along with an item and it’ll enchant the item with random abilities/curses. Bagga hasn’t seen The Forge yet, so he accompanies the team there but this guy is super weird. He has a TON of money but wears these flowing and extravagant robes. When he gets to the forge, he tosses in more money than most have ever seen and his circlet and gets a REALLY FUCKING GOOD ITEM. (It basically lets you make an attack an automatic crit, gives you an extra turn when you crit, and if you kill anything with a 19 or 20 roll, the body of your victim EXPLODES). He allows them to identify it and check it out, while chatting with them, but is acting really suspicious. When he introduces himself Bagga and Ember IMMEDIATELY recognize his name associated with a group of Necromancers and Bagga is NOT HAPPY. He subtly casts Detect Thoughts while they chat this guy up and figure out that he’s in league with the Cultists and Dragons and he plans to HAND THE BODY EXPLODING CIRCLET OVER TO THEM.
Bagga tells the team this privately and they start trying to figure out how to get this thing away from this guy but they’re already pretty weak from the Frog Incident 2 ™ and are wary of rushing into combat again. But they get into combat anyway and manage to drive him off and they take the circlet.
As they go to leave the Forge and in the wake of their victory, Ember gives Bagga a bit of a nudge and prompts him to tell the rest of the group his secret. He talks to Alabaster alone first because WHAT DID YOU MEAN EARLIER BY YOU KNOW MY SECRET???? And Alabaster is right on the money but he’s cool with Bagga so now Bagga is feeling a little more confident about telling the rest of the party and he gets them all to wait a moment while he tries to explain himself. The Paladin, Jeff, approaches him after all is said and done and places his hand on Bagga’s chest and IS REALLY DOING THE SKELLY MAN A FRIGHTEN because this guy is made for destroying undead. But he casts Heart Sight and determines that Bagga’s alignment is Chaotic Good and approves of his place in the party.
Bagga is beyond relieved that for the first time since his brother and best friend died, he has people that he can trust with knowing what he is. But other problems are brewing on the horizon. One of the team’s friends, after being grievously injured was being cared for at the base, left without a word after their recovery to hunt down those that had nearly felled them. Not to mention that, after the Dragon/Cultist attack on the town of Phandalin that our team calls home, the townspeople have grown suspicious of us. Despite our efforts driving back the attacking forces (who included dragonborn among their ranks), we left immediately afterwards (in wake of the destruction) to track the cultists down and rescue a friend from them (See ‘In Which Bagga Accidentally Ruined a Man’s Life), but returned with none of the money or belongings they’d stolen from the town. With our lack of help in restoring the town and disappearing along with the Cultists, and two Dragonborn on the team, they seem to think that we’re secretly aligned with them.
Bagga suggests that, in order to improve morale, our team should organize a Festival for the town of Phandalin. After all, despite the destruction, this was a victory on the part of the town to survive this attack and they need to be reminded of the strength and determination of their community that is now pulling itself together from the wreckage. And if there’s one thing that Bagga knows from being raised as a noble, managing your Public Relations through Events and Parties are always something that tends to make the townspeople love you. Not only this, they brought back two Black Dragon eggs from the Cultist Caves that they plan to smash as part of the opening ceremonies. Nothing like smashing some evil babies to convince people you’re on their side.
And so, Party Planner Bagga is getting ready to throw a fucking rager for a destroyed town. Let’s do this.
