So, I've finished Chapter 7 of All Quiet on the Western Front, and now I must take a rest.
It's nothing tedious or infuriating. On the contrary, it's one of the most emotionally stirring parts so far. The fact that it wants action: no battle, no dramatic "war is evil" death, makes it even better.
In this chapter, Paul, our protagonist, is on leave; he goes home to his sister and his ailing mother (cancer, it seems). There is not much happening outwardly compared to previous chapters, yet the conditions inside can't be more different.
Leave, going back home, should be every soldier's dream, right? It should make them happy, right? It's a return to safety, to normalcy, away from the ridiculous business of war. But for Paul, it doesn't bring any of those. It used to, he mentioned, when he was stationed in quieter sectors, but it does no longer. Now, there's a wall to separate him and the world.
He feels irritated by the people around him, a pretentious, know-it-all, inconsiderate bunch. They appear sympathetic, but Paul knows better now: it's either ignorance, naivety, or a grand show of self-righteousness. He tries his best to reconnect with this old world, to regain his past, his dreams, his passions, but he can't. His hometown, its people, his family, even his own possessions and personal spaces - representing his most private self - have become alien to him. They're his past, while the front and the war are his present.
If I could've given this chapter's theme a name, it would be nostalgia. Paul wants to go back to what used to be, yet he can't. His feelings are torn by it. In the end, he concluded that he shall never return home (basking in the past) but rather return to the front (focusing on the present and immediate future).
P.S: I want to take a moment to say I'm incredibly in awe of Remarque's ability to paint all these emotions, these bitter thoughts, the feeling of losing something, that strangeness that surrounds change in general. It's A FEAT. It's like a masterfully woven tapestry: complicated, dynamic, affecting, and yet harmonious and incredibly beautiful.
P.P.S: Nothing, and I mean it, can beat how emotionally overwhelming the last part of the chapter is.
#Paul's conversation with his ill mother and his thoughts#It's just soooo#Oh#and how Remarque proficiently uses “Show don't tell”#He doesn't have to say Person A is ignorant or hypocritical or whatever#He shows it#let us - his readers - be Paul and set up a complete and vivid situation#and let us judge the people for ourselves#Sorry if this is not well-written at all#I'm incredibly moved by this chapter#It has been a while since any reading material does that to me#All Quiet on the Western Front#erich maria remarque#20th century literature#world war i#books and reading#books#reading#Mann Walter

redacted audio headcanons: jealousy | damn squad edition
gavin being an incubus and using other people's attraction to him as fuel feels like it would be quite hypocritical of him to be jealous. and he really doesn't get jealous often, he trusts freelancer just as much as they trust him and actually finds it quite amusing when their classmates try and "shoot their shot" because while his lover is attractive, they're his. yes, gavin occasionally finds himself randomly getting irritated whenever freelancer spends a little too much time away from him and with whatever group they've been assigned to do a project with. or when he's watching them laugh a little too hard with some random unimportant guy he doesn't even know. he'll usually wait for freelancer to notice him being whiny, to which they shush him with a little kiss and that usually fixes him for long enough. but over everything, gavin doesn't get jealous over people. no, no, no, he gets jealous over the stuffed animals freelancer keeps in their corner of the bed. the collection of cute little cotton stuffed creatures they seem to treasure almost as much as him. and he can't believe his eyes every morning he watches them kiss each and every one of their foreheads after they get placed back on the freshly made bed. freelancer's friends are one thing but these things are so much worse. and god forbid they want to cuddle with one of them at bed time. every time gavin watches them interact with the wretched pieces of fabric he sulks. freelancer saw the face he was making and asked him jokingly if he was jealous. the realization in their head clicked when they saw that he only sulked harder. freelancer laughed at him for a solid five minutes before reassuring him that he was, of course, way more important to them than their stuffed animals. gavin perked up after that but refused to believe it until they spent the remainder of the afternoon cuddling with him on the couch. gavin still glares into the stuffies' beady little eyes every time he sees them and freelancer only has to kiss his cheek to get him to stop. freelancer, unsurprisingly, doesn't get jealous when people flirt with gavin. they knew what they were getting into when dating a literal incubus and they would never try to take away a facet of gavin's personality. it's apart of who he is and they love all of him. it's also a favourite hobby of theirs to encourage gavin's antics. that being said, people have tried to flirt with their boyfriend in more of a "i’m better than your partner" way and that's what has them riled up. especially since the people who have the balls to do so also have the balls to ignore the fact that gavin's partner is literally right there. the most they'll do in front of the person is just grab onto gavin's arm and stare at the person with the nastiest look they can muster. but when they have gavin to themselves? they spend at least twenty minutes rambling about the audacity of people and how they would dare do that right in front of their face like that. they could, and would, go on forever if gavin didn't interrupt them by kissing them and gently caressing their cheek, telling them to relax and that he's theirs. freelancer still spends the following three hours pouting into gavin's chest before they're back to normal. gavin is also more than willing to block whoever makes freelancer uncomfortable because he actually has no need or desire for other relationships outside of the freelancer and the damn crew.
damien gets jealous quite often actually. it just takes a really bold person + a really really oblivious huxley for him to actually show it. part of it has to do with a small nagging voice in the back of his head that says he's not good enough for someone as kind and beautiful as huxley. but then again, he has full trust in his relationship and his boyfriend, it's just other people he doesn't trust. huxley barely understands damien's (or even gavin's) very obvious attempts at flirting with him sometimes, so imagine how much more oblivious he is to a stranger or coworker trying to make a move on him. huxley is not naive, but he just doesn't see things he's not interested in looking for. so damien has had a front row seat numerous times to huxley thinking someone was just really nice when they were trying to get into his pants. half of the time, it's hilarious to watch huxley tilt his head to the side in confusion at the blatant innuendo, the other half of the time? damien is seething. and he's not subtle in the slightest. but he doesn't blow up, he's too grown for that. he just takes the opportunity to sigh way too loudly to express his discomfort. that shifts huxley's attention immediately from whoever's in front of him over to damien real fast. then damien gets to enjoy the power trip that comes from having his boyfriend fuss over him while huxley potential "suitor" stands there entirely in shock before walking off in irritation. he also does this if he's not around when huxley gets flirted with or if he's just spending a lot of time with someone else. he sighs once then relishes in being fawned over for ten minutes. damien takes pride in his ability to have huxley's attention at the drop of a hat, it's the only time he lets himself be doted on. huxley picked up on damien's little habit after more than a few times and has used the information to tease him relentlessly. he smirks when damien starts acting antsy on purpose but he still follows through his overdramatic doting just to see the little grin on damien's face. just to make him happy. huxley, despite being so clueless when it comes to people flirting with him, is hyper aware of when it's happening to damien. he narrows his eyes whenever someone so much as touches damien for a second too long. it isn't something huxley finds himself getting angry over, necessarily, he just gets mildly annoyed whenever he knows someone is trying to get with damien. annoyed that people have the gall to flirt with his boyfriend when huxley could hypothetically throw them over his shoulder if he wanted to. the longer the two have been together, the more comfortable both of them have gotten with being possessive. comfortable enough to not feel guilty about being jealous. and despite how semi-often huxley finds himself being jealous when damien talks to someone for too long or just talking to someone who obviously wants him, huxley doesn't voice it at all. but damien knows he's jealous because he knows huxley. he notices how quiet his boyfriend gets when brings up that one coworker or the slight twitch in his eyebrow or the tense laugh he lets out. he knows that's how huxley acts when he's irritated but doesn't want to tell anyone. but damien puts the pieces together and he finds it quite amusing ("what, you jealous?"). and after that they go back and forth while huxley refuses to admit that he's jealous until he makes a silly little comment like, "that's totally not cool, bro, i already know that you're mine even though other people are far too cocky to understand that. like they’d ever be good enough for you-" and damien smirks like he's won. after that, damien (jokingly) condescendingly reassures huxley that he would never leave him for his coworker and that no one could ever compare to his big, fat- and huxley tells him his coworker can have him. as a joke, of course. he makes sure damien knows that.
lasko probably gets jealous the easiest out of the group. if someone looks at dear the wrong way (or even the right way), he's jealous. they talk to someone for too long around him, he's jealous. even with the d.a.m.n squad, he gets jealous. after dear gets a little more comfortable around everyone, he argues with freelancer about "stealing his partner" all the time and everyone makes fun of him. dear thinks it's the funniest thing ever. especially when lasko goes on a rant, saying it's not about trust, it's just the fact that sometimes he kind of just doesn't want them paying attention to anyone other than him for too long. he doesn't say it like that, that's embarrassing, but it's basically what he means. lasko felt bad about it the first few times, thinking he was turning into a psycho obsessive boyfriend but dear reassured him it's totally fine that he feels that way since they know he would never act out because of it. lasko is always incredibly transparent about being jealous, whining into dear's shoulder about them being so popular while they laugh at him. dear still reassures him that they love him more than anyone but they let him complain because they think he's cute. but lasko fully trusts them and just allows himself to be a little whiny because he trusts himself to not be an asshole boyfriend. it's mostly comedic relief at this point. dear literally doesn't get jealous. i don't even think they know what the word means. lasko could blatantly flirt with someone in front of them and they wouldn't even care. and he has. lasko and the crew play-flirt with each other all the time and dear finds it endearing rather than off-putting. they don't think it's a problem that lasko gets jealous when they don't, they just physically can't be themselves. if lasko gets flirted with, they focus on how hilarious he sounds stuttering through his "i'm taken" explanation. dear got jealous one (1) time early on in the relationship when lasko was super busy with a new teacher assistant but they literally said to themselves "?? he's literally mine" and moved on.
i think the d.a.m.n. crew are all super sexy and get hit on a lot kthxbye

Every Hypocritical, Contradictable, or nearly everything stupid (Or OUTLANDISH) thing in the HelluvaVerse we're supposed to ignore and move on from
Sin of lust, Ozzie is against forcing one into sex, Forces Moxxie to sing, kicks out when he refuses.
Everytime a guy gets sexually assaulted it's supposed to be seen as bad, or even cute, but when it's someone who doesn't actually mean nothing to the plot at all, it's funny and quirky.
consequences don't exist in Hell but in Heaven they sure do.
Angels claim they don't know "What gets a soul in Heaven" (but for some reason this statement is completely misconstrued in the fanbase and explained away.) But they are able to point out that Angel Dust isn't allowed into Heaven. While Adam writes down the shit afterwards. Either they are frauds who aren't worthy of their status, or they simply don't have the heart to tell Charlie it is, and send her down like Lucifer does.
Name everything Stolas does. Literally everything.
On the topic of the bird bitch, Stolas demands respect from Blitz when he has done nothing to deserve it, he's wasted Blitz time, treated Blitz like shit, and doesn't respect him at all. Stolas is just a bratty prince who doesn't know the value of respect but demands others give it to him.
Adam's views on Sinners are morally gray and stupid at best. What he says can be easily applied to Heaven, and it doesn't make sense.
Angel Dust's abuse is seen as scary and serious while Sir Pentious' getting dragged away is comical, make it make sense.
On the topic of that, we're supposed to feel bad for Angel Dust the entire episode of Episode Four when he comes across as unlikeable. He spent most of his time trying to convince the entire cast on why his porn video is good, while also defending it, and getting yelled at by Husk, and when he gets called out for sexually harassing someone, he storms off like a baby. This is who me and other victims are represented by folks, a sad sack of shit who completely lost all character to be someone to use and dispose.
Adding onto Heaven not knowing what gets a person into Heaven, does that shit also mean not knowing what someone gets into Hell either? Would that also mean Redemption is pointless?
Charlie's apparently blind, because she spend nearly 3 years with an ex-exterminator without knowing she's one? How can we as people believe Vaggie isn't one without knowing the fact she LOOKS LIKE A STANDARD ONE.
Also, HOW CAN VAGGIE SPEND 3 YEARS WALKING AROUND BEING A FORMER ANGEL WITHOUT ATLEAST HAVING SOME SORT OF POWER? SOME SORT OF PULL?
Charlie hasn't seen her mother in 7 years, yet her mother spoken to her in the pilot. She's much closer to her mother, yet her mother is also distant.
Nearly every female characterization is neutered or they are sent back to the kitchen, killed or even made worse because we needed to uplift terrible male leads.
Half of the LGBTQ+ Cast is in Hell, which matches some christians worldviews on people part of the Queer Umbrella, but this show STILL has to paint Heaven in a negative light? I don't even KNOW if SAINT PETER is gay or not. If he is, he also has a stereotypical voice to go along with it, he sounds like a Zestier Timmy Huckerdoo from SML than some guy in Heaven.
Hell is supposed to be the good guys while Heaven is the bad guys, Hell fucked themselves over by fighting against Heaven, making Charlie's dreams UNABLE TO COME TRUE. No one points out this at all. She ruined all chances at redeeming whatever rapist walks into the Hotel with that stunt.
I ran out, I will make more when I thought of it.

Hello! I have a headcanon ask; how do you think the wizards are when they’re sick? (As in ‘having a cold’ sick, not ‘complete and total destabilisation of their powers and turning into a bat demon’ sick.)
Wdym "not 'complete destabilisation of their powers and turning into a bat demon' sick"?? 😔😔 that's my favourite type of sick!! Scurvy close second. But FINE, I guess we'll stick to a cold, perhaps a tummy ache if we dare-
Getting Duman out the way right off the hhhnnnggggg bat. I don't think he really gets sick. In a regular sense. The viruses and whatnot just don't really have anything solid to hold onto like that idk. If anything he is the disease, he carries so much shit in there it's unreal. Could probably give someone the worst rash of their life with just a touch if he really wanted to! Or the plague. Again.
Nah but actually!! If we imagine him to be close to something the average person might consider sick for a sec, for him that might be fatigue, general discomfort for whatever reason, things like that- This creature gets so incredibly moody, snaps at anyone and anything, wants to be left alone really bad. Also often experiences a change in appetite as well, so making sure he gets his fuel is a must, even if he's being a total bitch about it. If the change in appetite refers to him being hungrier though? Genuinely good luck with that. Either stock the fuck up or make peace with the fact he's gonna be out. Doing stuff. Where does he leave it all? Idk the void?? Duman’s insides are an abyss of their own, literally don't worry about it.
Gantlos!!!!! Gantlos strikes me as a very "As long as I can stand, I'm fine." *noticeably struggles to stand* "..As long as I can hold my head up-" type of guy. Doesn't get sick a lot, according to himself. But only because things like a common cold get ignored so insanely hard by him, except for the occasional nose blowing and expertly concealed coughs. If it doesn't leave him bedridden, he simply does not acknowledge that he's sick. He's not above popping a few aspirins though, maybe surprisingly? Healing spells are an absolute no though.
He just doesn't enjoy being "in the way" or a "nuisance", so nobody is allowed to take care off him or be bothered by the fact he's not 90% healthy- Except himself. Same applies to injury cases as well btw. It's not because he doesn't like the care itself, necessarily, it really just boils down to "Surely you could be spending this time doing something more important" but nuh uh. Gantlos get a grip smh. Massive hypocrite btw, literally if anyone else is sick he's the first person to get them whatever they need. How absolutely outrageous that anyone would DARE to try and do the same for him right-
Ogron absorbs all the germs. And I'm not fully confident in saying that; unlike with regular damage, it does nothing for his powers. Because imagine!! He sneezes and something just EXPLODES in the background? Now, does it make sense? Maybe not. But something about snobby, confident, put-together Ogron completely losing his grip does something for me. And I would very much like to explore it. Tbh illness affecting the wizards' powers as a whole is so fun to play around with.. The doors Duman has opened.. But rn I'm grabbing Ogron specifically, both because of the reason mentioned above, but again, the damage thing as well kinda. What's an illness if not your immune system taking a couple hits amirite ahaha- "Oh dude! You seem to be taking damage!! Not to worry though, I got ya covered." *proceeds to provide Ogron with enough magical energy to explode things with his eyeballs* ass immune system smh.
Beside the magic thing though? I bet sick Ogron is so incredibly annoying omg. Coughs once and slips into the role of a dying Victorian child. Take him to see the garden. One last time. Like literally just drink your water and take a nap, there's no need for all of that.
Then we once again have Anagan, our saving grace- In like the least boring way possible, he's pretty chill about it all. He doesn't usually stay sick for very long though, so maybe that plays a part. Just takes some rest, eats his fruits, knows his own limits pretty well and all that. Unless the illness sticks around for too long. Like maybe a day over his usual and he starts getting a bit whiny, but offer him any remedies, magical or not, and he'll refuse with a "Nah, it'll be over soon anyway." ??? Stfu then smh JKJK-
In his defense though, it does depend on what illness he's throwing hands with. He handles colds fairly well, but anything that makes any of his muscles start cramping up is his absolute worst enemy. AND STOMACH BUGS, those put him out of commission no matter how long they last fr. Speedster with a more sensitive stomach than usual? Going through a lot of motion? Nobody wants that. Anagan least of all, he despises being nauseous with his whole being. Who doesn't? Relatable king! What he'd really need then is some company. On the other side of the couch. Do NOT touch him. That's when the others can really tell Anagan is feeling under the weather, the noticeable lack of physical contact. Still can't fully distance himself though, he's just a very social individual like that.
#it took me a while but!!#i had fun with it :D#i hope you can TELL#and not just by the size dang#my bad#he's a large man#and this is like the shortest i allowed myself to make it too#i have my degree in wizard yapology#only degree i'll ever get yikes!!#winx club#winx headcanons#winx season 4#winx villains#wizards of the black circle#winx ogron#winx gantlos#winx anagan#winx duman#answered ask

Hello. I've seen you answer an ask about Lyanna Stark. It's rare to see people point faults in her. Usually, they say Rhaegar is to blame, and Lyanna's age dismiss her actions. Even those who say she was rickless still go back to say anyone who points out her mistakes is misogynistic. What do you think of this say? Should we really not talk about it? Is Elia having negative feelings toward her that taboo and un-adult like? I have mixed feelings. I read many posts that defend her and that as long as you are young/child, you don't get blamed, but the thing is, I feel that it's not the actual reason. I feel that they just want to reject her mistakes and use the age and gender as an excuse to make the opposite person feel like an asshole for pointing out that a young girl carries some responsibility. And in a scenario where she and Rhaegar lived, I feel she would still be with him, and that just feels selfish and inconsiderate toward Elia. Is it really that bad to dislike a young person? Was all she did because of naivety? Because to me, she wasn't naive in that aspect (love doesn't change a man's nature). What do you think of her? I really don't understand how she is liked that much as nothing but victim. Sometimes, it feels forced other times self insert or uncare. I feel it's all to the hype George gives her from being remembered to having a rare flower as her motif to being jon's mother and Arya's aunt and being Rhaegar's love. Or am I being too emotional about what I see as justice? I wish to hear your thoughts.
I do think that Rhaegar bears more responsibility than Lyanna, both because of his age and because the exact circumstances around how she left with him remain unclear. But honestly, I feel far more sympathy for Elia in this entire ordeal. She was a woman of color who suffered greatly because of this situation, and a far more interesting character if you ask me. That matters to me more than what people assume about Lyanna's motivations, especially the idealized "fanon" version.
If Lyanna went willingly, her youth can explain and justify some of her decisions, but I find it unfair to excuse all her choices as a result of her age because fans certainly don't extend the same generous view to Jon (14 years old), Daenerys (13 years old), Sansa (11 years old), Robb (16 years old), Myrcella (10 years old), Arya (11 years old), etc, all of whom struggle with difficult decisions around the same age or even younger. I think it’s disingenuous to absolve her of the weight of what happened when these characters and many more aren't afforded the same grace.
Lyanna fans and Lyanna/Rhaegar shippers face a dilemma. Either she went and stayed willingly even after knowing about what was happening – making her a hypocrite for running off with a married man after her whole discourse about Robert and a pretty selfish horrible person given the brutal murder of her brother and father, never mind the civil war that followed it – OR they must accept Rhaegar held her captive once her initial feelings changed after knowing about her brother and father/ Rhaegar lied to her and never told her the truth about what happened because he knew she would leave his ass. That destroys their idealized image of a loving prince, and destroys the perfect impossible predestined love story they made up about these two. They can't have it both ways, but they sure try.
But this is all beating around the bush. Let's be real here about why Lyanna (and Rhaegar/Lyanna as a couple) have a somewhat significant fandom for the amount of development they have in the actual text. The reasons are: 1) she's white, and 2) she's a blank slate for self-projection. Far more interesting characters and couples (cough Nettles and Daemon cough) exist with similar levels of textual development and don't get nearly the same attention. That speaks volumes. Lyanna and Rhaegar are a blank slate where they can paint whatever they want, as long as they can ignore the more uncomfortable parts and the ramifications of their story.
This bleeds into how Elia is treated by much of the fandom. It boils down to racism. Were the racial dynamics reversed, the fandom response to these women would be fundamentally VERY different. Just look at how Nettles/Daemon are treated compared to Rhaenyra for further proof. What's the difference there in the dynamic? A married prince meets a girl and falls in love with her, abandoning his wife and children for her. You don't see fandom contorting themselves into saying that Rhaenyra deserved it, that she had it coming, rejoicing in her death, gloating about how she went down. And Rhaenyra was actually a terrible person. Elia was nothing but a good woman, who was married off to a prince and paid a brutal price for his lack of care and abandonment, suffering until the end of her life and dying in one of the most horrible ways I've read about in this series. And yet she's demonized. Again. Racism.
The truth is, her fandom project their own desires onto Lyanna. They love the "not like other girls tm" idea of her, they love the pick me girl energy of her story, and she fits the bill for their self-inserts. The misogyny runs deep even among those who considers themselves her fans or shippers of the couple, and they don't even realize it.
My dislike of her is a lot influenced by her fanon version, because the truth is that there isn't enough material for me to actually care about canon Lyanna outside of the tragedy that was her life. Canon wise she might be interesting and maybe a character I would enjoy, but the truth is that there isn't enough there. And if I have to care about characters who have that little textual development, I find other characters such as Elia, Ashara Dayne, Nettles, etc, much more interesting, engaging and worth of my time

What do you think about Jason's relationship (platonic!!! Father and son stuff. Still can't believe this ship exists. ) with Bruce? Should they even interact at all if DC only makes Bruce abusive and cruel towards him? Or do you ignore whatever is on those pages like it was always meant to be and like a lot of the fandom does?
(Personally, Bruce shouldn't be the best dad but he should never have raised his hand against his kids, unless during sparring and fighting off mindcontrol. The only exception I would make is shortly after Jason died and Bruce, out of his mind with grief, hit Dick who had kind of tried to comfort him. But everything else? Laughably out of character.)
Hello! Thanks for the ask friend!
Bruce and Jason's relationship is vastly complicated, but I personally don't think they should be on the best terms.
Bruce is very similar to Jason in that he's been written either okay or horrible by dc writers, but actual good characterization in the last like 10-15 years is pretty rare.
In terms of characterization of Bruce, I'm not as well-versed as I am with Jason, but I have a pretty good idea of how he should be. Bruce is heavily flawed. He has some significant childhood trauma that never got truly dealt with, leading to the creation of the batman. I also sense he has bpd or at least bipolar or something like that, as well as a superiority complex. He's also very stubborn and set in his ways and his instinct is that he's always right and everyone should do what he says. He's controlling and a hypocrite. But he has the best of intentions. He wants to keep everyone safe, he loves his kids and he just wants to protect people, but it has to be his way. I fully believe that Bruce never actually intends to hurt his family, but mental illness mixed with a need for control and a lack of socialization can lead to hurtful actions. In gotham war, Bruce truly believes that what he did to Jason was what was best for him, despite how crazy and abusive it actually was. After Damian died, he loved and grieved so much but didn't know how to handle it. He couldn't live without him so he did everything possible to bring him back, hurting his other kids in the process, but he didn't think he was seriously hurting his kids.
Jason is also very stubborn and a hypocrite. He has some substantial childhood trauma that also didnt get proper attention. he's not as hot-headed as certain characterizations of him like to say, but he is a VERY emotional and emotion-driven person. He thinks with his heart more than his head at times. He has very strong opinions and beliefs. He also loves his family and wants to protect people, mainly children and women, and he also believes that his way is the right way.
Bruce and Jason both think the other is wrong and neither want to compromise. And Bruce has done so much to Jason. And jason doesn't understand Bruce's pov because neither of them can actually communicate with each other in a healthy way and neither of them have healthy ways of executing their beliefs and morals, their actions don't always do their intentions justice.
So I think their relationship is strained. They're too similar and too different at the same time. They both have too many problems and don't take good care of their mental health, leading to some really unhealthy Coping mechanisms. But I do agree that some of things Bruce and jason have done have been super out of character and totally could be erased lol
Thanks for the ask friend!

Hi because of the previous ask I am now kinda curious about what trauma you would like to something as basic as telekinesis. Also I know he technically doesn’t have an ability in bad I am curious what trauma you would write for lovecraft
Are you guys not spellchecking yourself on purpose now to get a reaction out of me...
>:'(
"what trauma you would LIKEN to" SLAPS YOU
"and ability in BSD" SLAMS YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE CORNER OF A TABLE
I'm so sorry, I actually would love to answer your ask though. :D yay! Thank you for the ask!
Telekinesis ability - so on it's own without a character that exists to bounce off of, it's a little harder for me to spitball some sort of OC with a trauma telekinesis ability (because I have so much freedom and so little restriction), but I'll try!!
Let's go with telekinesis = hypervigilance. AHA! I will link this. Hypervigilance is the elevated state of constantly assessing potential threats around you, often found in those with PTSD/CPTSD. I have CPTSD and am plagued with this, so I know exactly how it works from experience. LET ME COOK LET ME COOK I CAN DO IT. Okay. This OC would have CPTSD (all ability users would have the metaphor of PTSD in my BSD AU but in case you didn't see my first ask post about this, I'm confirming that). I'd give OC a childhood spent in turmoil based on their parents' abuse. Okay wait, I'd focus on just one parent being abusive with an enabler partner. Yes. Realism. Focus. Okay.
Abusive parent - psychological/emotional combo. Says one thing constantly, means the other thing. Applauded and hailed by those outside the family (and inside the family too) for their outward good deeds and "amazing parenting". The OC is a well-behaved child and has spent their life praised for being so behaved by friends of the family. Rich family, privileged. Nobody would believe there was abuse going on in the home. Parent constantly praises their child and loves on them in public for their natural talents. Anything that they don't like about the child is ignored and swept under the rug as if it doesn't exist, meaning anything the OC child is interested in that isn't supported by the parents is treated like it's not there.
Behind closed doors, torture. Daily. Not in the physical sense, but in the perfectionist sense. OC is told how to think, how to speak, how to act. Though policing is key. If they step a single foot out of line, punishment. They're berated and lectured on how much of a bad person this makes them, and how they need to get their thoughts in order and they need to be only expressing themselves in ways that are beautiful and "right" and happy. They have to be an example for their siblings.
this is just becoming about me and I'm gonna start rambling too much. oh my god. whatever. CONTINUING.
Because of this, OC becomes hyperaware of every thought they ever have, feeling guilty if it ever strays from perfect and "moral" and "good" and "kind". This stress multiplies to the point of developing an anxiety compulsion around never thinking a bad thought or dreaming of a bad thing. However, they're convinced that their parents are constantly thinking badly about them and want them dead because they're such a horrible person. They want to know so badly what their parents really think, because they constantly tell OC that they should have only pure thoughts, but they're hypocritical when it comes to doing so themselves, OC is convinced. After all, what exactly constitutes a "good" or "bad" thought? How are they supposed to know? Their parents seem to think about whatever they want, and everything OC wants is bad, apparently. If nothing else, OC wants to learn how to think like their parents so they can become a good person. Because their parents are good people, obviously, who only want the best for OC.
Their parents feel so alien, though, that OC spends every waking moment reading their parents' expressions for any hint at what they're really thinking, especially when they're being nice. They try to read between the lines of everything said to them. Because of this, boom, ability born. Suddenly they start actually hearing the parents' thoughts, but they believe at first that they've entered some sort of schizophrenic state and the voices are in their head.
Jump to current day, OC has confirmed telekinesis, and reading others' thoughts has made them develop a panic disorder, because seeing into brains means seeing every good and bad thing thought about them, and OC struggles to keep from being a people-pleaser machine that does everything in their power to be what others want them or think them to be so that they can keep others' thoughts as pure as possible.
Hope that....was coherent. Basically OC would be obsessed with people pleasing because of their trauma of having to please their parents just to survive, and then I'd make their emotional arc about coming to realize that thoughts are neutral, anybody is allowed to think anything, and having bad thoughts is actually a great thing, a way to process feelings instead of self-destructing by bottling everything up until it bursts and you have no idea why.
UMMM OKAY. LOVECRAFT NEXT!
.....
...........uh
I just left this post for like a whole 30mins reminding myself of the details of Lovecraft and looking for scene compilations of him and hunting for backstory and dude IM ACTUALLY SO STUMPED ON THIS ONE. His non-ability of turning into an eldritch monster is like....it's too basic and unfounded in any reasoning. He just IS an alien monster, and his personality is based on how much of a weirdo he is just because he's an alien monster. So trying to come up with a trauma for him that created this non-ability is impossible, kinda, since his character is founded on him BEING the monster instead of having the monster to use and a backstory (there's literally no backstory on his wiki so I assume bro just exists).
The only trauma I could really give him would be based in his alienation from society as a weird creature-thing. I do love that trope sometimes, so taking his canon traits (it makes him itch when he's the center of attention, he's constantly sleepy, overanxious, and never motivated to do anything i.e. wants things to be over with ASAP), the trauma I could try to tie in would be a Frankenstein-esque plot. People saw him as inherently bad because of what he exists as, not because of anything he's done, and treated him with fear and loathing because of it. And he's so cold all the time, he just wants to be close to somebody warm. He uses the fire as a substitute, but that's not like having a human body. He just wants to be warmmmm!!!! He bundles up to substitute for the lack of human warmth and also to hide as much as possible, he sleeps when he can so he can avoid being seen, and he itches when he's the center of attention because he's been a victim of mob mentality before.
Children have been his one hope, since children are more inclined to accept even weird people, so he's tried his best to make his tentacles into balloon animals and be entertaining so he could make friends (like he did in canon with Q). There!
hopefully that was as good enough :'D thanks, anon!! It's fun to talk my brain on a walk with prompts like this. <3

Hi! So, tbh I had a hard time choosing but I think I would go with Transformers Animated 2007, mainly bc THE AUTOBOTS ARE SO TINY 🤧
And overall it's a great twist to the story
(Although if you want to just pick whichever universe would suit me best)
Anyways, onto my personality:
I consider myself to be very outgoing and extroverted with a slight fear of confrontation (Be it known, if my guts tell me to run I'm out of there). Many people also say that my presence is extremely hard to ignore, that they relate me to the color yellow and I'm easy to spot on the crowd (probably bc I speak loudly and don't stop). I also like to see the nice in everyone and everything, and I am hopeful for stuff to change for the better.
On the downside, while I tend to be very happy overall, I have big moodswings where If I'm reminded of a big insecurity of mine (my weight, for example) I can get sad immediately. Also doesn't help that I'm a daydreamer and overthink a lot. Honesty would be a very important for there to be comunication in the relationship, although It's very easy to tell whenever I'm upset since I become cold and shut up.
In general, I do a lot of Physical contact (ofc, I ask first if the other person is comfortable with hugs and stuff) and like complimenting my partner.
Should also mention that I'm responsible but not organized, very carefree and silly
I like history (mostly Movements for the rights of the people, be it for the POC community, Lgbtq+, workers, etc), swimming, astrology and hearing people talk about their interests.
My dream aesthetic is a mix between cottagecore and Overly feminine clothes, I LOVE Pink and Orange, they are my favorite colors ♡
Although I tend to have problems with taking care of myself (I believe it's because of my adhd, but I'm getting better at it :D)
My pronouns are She/They, I'm a demigirl, demisexual and demiromantic, and have to get to meet people for me to fall in love.
My type would include people who like to tease (like compliment a lot just to watch the other person blush), people with many hobbies and have a sense of helping others. Bonus points if they ramble about their interests and we can have discussions about themes like History or personal morals.
Who I don't want: (Idk if they are included or not but just to be safe) none of the children please, also not anyone who is a hypocrite or coward bc not my type :/
I match you with
TFA Prowl
He is more on the introvert side though he converses with people easily. His personality works well with extroverted people as his calming presence brings a nice balance.
As I said he has a very calming personality so you don't really have to worry about confrontation with him
He adores your positive outlook and sweet nature. It’s one of the reasons he fell for you to begin with.
The good thing about him being calm means that he's able to handle any mood swings or sadness you might have. He's very good at helping you through it and making you feel better.
If you're feeling insecure he’ll always make sure you know how much he loves you and that he thinks you’re absolutely beautiful
Because he really does think you're gorgeous. He’s from Cybertron so he doesn't understand the issues you have with your body at first. But he's very intuitive so he quickly begins to understand that human society makes people feel bad for not having the exact body types they deem acceptable so he understands why you feel and react the way you do
Communication with him is very easy and he's also very in tune with you. Most of the time he's gonna know how you're feeling before you even say it
He’ll give you space if you need it, or if you just want him to be there with you he'll do that too. Whatever you need
He's not used to physical contact at first but he likes it if its with you
He helps keep you organized and you also help him loosen up and have fun
He is fascinated by human history so please talk with him about all of it because he is eager to learn and he is all about furthering the rights of marginalized people
He's been to space so he'd be happy to tell all about what he's seen and learned
He doesn't want to nag you to take care of yourself like he's your parent or something. So instead he will help you to find products or ways of doing things that will help you
We've seen how he is with Bumblebee so he is definitely someone who likes to tease, but with you it's more flirty. If you tease/flirt with him he's definitely a flustered mess, but he’ll turn around and do the same to you

I really don't care about whatever someone ships or doesn't & I do believe you that it's not meant shippy & I think that's fine, because it's fiction so you can make up a bond between whoever you like however you like. But that goes for everyone else alike.
Art will be interpreted as soon as you look at it not after digging for the artist's own opinion, so I can't say I'm surprised that people look at it and think it's shippy first. Sure, some were annoying about it I grant you that, but I think it's because it simply comes of hypocritical to act like a ship interpretation is nuts when the art simply does look like that on first glance.
The average MP100 viewer will not interpret a familial bond between these two characters who canonically barely interacted, but you did. (& more power to you) Maybe your average follower will not interpret a romantic implication in your artworks, but others will. (& more power to them)
I really don't think people lack parental love to see it shippy, I think people simply expect parental love between, well, a parent and their child. Not someone you personally declared to be a "weird uncle" to a girl he barely knows. I didn't even want good night kisses from my actual "weird uncle" as a kid idk man.
Again, I don't see the slightest issue with the platonic relationship you make up for them. I just also get where the romantic interpretations are coming from.
Your uncle/niece interpretation sincerely is farther removed from canon than ship interpretations are from your artworks.
Interesting message so I'll answer this genuinely.
To start off: I Never once implied that it was crazy that other people would interpret this as romantic at first glance. I quite literally said that I understood the confusion because these two barely interacted in canon. Which is why Im always happy to explain my intentions. Experiences vary so what one considers normal may not be normal to someone else: I'm very much aware of this but y'all clearly aren't.
When it gets to the point where people say "this artist drew that AND said it wasn't shipping even though we can obviously tell theyre delusional and in denial", that's where the problem is. I provide an explanation, that explanation gets ignored, people either answer "lmao just admit it" or they treat me as if I'm the worst person alive and they refuse to accept they must've been wrong about their interpretations. They proceed to openly "discuss" this (by just mocking me repeatedly, nothing constructive) in a public space where they think I can't see it almost as if they forget I'm an actual person who can come across these messages at any time.
What others ship or don't ship is none of my concern, I stay away from circles I dislike. But when people constantly attempt to force me into "admitting" I'm into something that I have zero interest in out of malicious intent, then naturally it'll annoy me.
I'm sure you didn't really mean to imply that I was merely outraged at the thought of someone interpreting this as romantic if they didnt know every single thing about my headcanons which is why I'm answering you sincerely. So please forgive me for assuming the ones who compared a peck on the cheek to some nonsense like "platonic breastfeeding" have never experienced any sort of familial love growing up 💜
#asks#and whether or not you think my headcanons are 'so removed from canon' is also not an issue by itself#this is 100% me being self indulgent and i don't hide that fact#i draw whatever i want whenever i feel like it and if others dislike it then i understand#but please don't act like these people were totally oblivious when making these comments: they knew very well what they were doing

"How'd you find out about being a demigod?"
Will frowns "Didn't I already tell you? You know...in. When. Uhm-"
Nico laughs, releasing Will from his misery - a rather merciful move for a child of the underworld. Will is so obviously working on being more open; efforts that are as adorable as they are painful and never fail to make Nico feel all disgustingly gooey. Will is struggling but he is trying. Because Nico asked. All his life he has taught himself to only take care of others, his every instinct begging to downplay and soothe and ignore instead of confront and acknowledge or - gods forbid - admit it out loud. But Will is never one to do things by halves; never would've been able to wrestle so many demigods from the unforgiving grips of death, otherwise; and definitely wouldn't have followed Nico into literal Tartarus. So he does it anyways. Even if he refuses to give himself the same forgiveness and grace he extends to his patients.
Will may never believe it when he tells him that he is one of the strongest demigods in Camp, but Nico means it. So what if Will isn't the strongest fighter? He doubts Clarisse could ever be so openly vulnurable without having an aneurysm or giving into the urge to stab herself with her spear. Besides, it's not like he has to be. That's what Nico is here for, after all.
"You told me that Stymphalian Birds were involved. And that there was a turd in the subway. Not exactly a very thorough account" And then, because Will is still used to thinking in black and white and extremes and has the stupid tendency to take everything as a personal failure: "You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I won't be mad."
(Will is working on that, too. "I feel like this is different. From my other friendships." he'd said. "Bad different or good different?" "Good." Nico nodded, because he felt it, too. "I don't think I'm in love with you" he'd answered then, because that was probably the truth as well.
So they kissed, because they both liked it; and they cuddled, because they both needed it; and they went on dates, because dates were fun; and they were obnoxiously affectionate when it was just them and Will's siblings, because their reactions were always hilarious; and they both made an effort, because it was worth it.
And Will, who had always needed words and files and terms and diagnostics couldn't explain it in a way that made sense. Whatever they had, it wasn't black or white. Sometimes it felt like it was on a completely different color spectrum, as even shades of gray didn't seem to quite cover it. But he was learning that that was okay, too. It was good, even. Not good enough, just good.)
So this is their dynamic now: Nico trying to get Will out of his shell without being too overbearing while Will (that son of a bitch) is a stubborn asshole about it. Sometimes, when Nico needs to go and take a walk before he either strangles the son of Apollo or says something he doesn't mean, he wonders how Will could've ever fallen for him. Nico is all too aware that he was probably even worse in the beginning - sometimes the guilt of it eats him alive, now that he is on the receiving end of it. But then there are moments like these, and Nico thinks he almost gets it.
No, the irony is not lost on him. And Kayla sure finds it absolutely hilarious, all "and so the giver finally becomes the receiver" and "a taste of your own medicine, mister doctor". Still, it's all too easy to slip back into their old roles. Will's position as head medic certainly doesn't help: Nico has lost count of how many times he's seriously considered threatening the entire camp to just not get hurt for one day that really can't be that fucking hard before realizing that promising serious bodily harm would be rather counter-productive in this scenario. He would be a huge hypocrite if he said that he wasn't part of the problem, too. It's all too tempting to blame his own less-than-stellar moments on everyone around him and hide behind his person to escape the consequences. But they know that they need to learn to open up and rely on themselves and each other if they want this (whatever that is) to work, so they keep trying.
Will nods. "No". Then he frowns, shaking his head. "No, I mean. Yeah. Sure. I guess I'm just curious why you're asking"
Nico shrugs, raising a brow. Because it's you, he doesn't say, because Will isn't the only one who has trouble saying the important things out loud. Besides, judging by his flaming cheeks, the message was received anyway.
And there really isn't much more to it. Of course he knows that most stories are rather traumatic, which is why he doesn't feel comfortable asking the other campers about it. He is somewhat aware of some of the arrivals - mainly from bragging Ares children, but he doesn't trust those as far as he can throw them. He has heard Sherman changing his story at least three times; the number of monsters chasing him magically multiplicating every time he recounts it. Either that, or they are Percy Jackson, which is its own category entirely.
Still, he can't help but feel that losing over half a century in a time-stopping casino is on a bit of a different level. Even for Percy Jackson standards. He is just so incredibly curious about what an average demigod experience is like. A curiosity that only grows as he becomes more and more aware of how his own life is definitely not that.
Will is always his go-to on that front. He never judges or laughs at Nico for asking questions, no matter how odd or stupid. It also makes it incredibly easy to mess with him, especially now that they are working extra hard on open communication and all that shit. Nico practices constraint, though. Mostly.
"Okay, so. This actually happened a few years before New York." Will's voice gets that nostalgic tone that always appears whenever he talks about his life before Camp. He's relaxed, now, all loose-limbed compared to the beginning of their conversation. Nico leans against him, own body relaxing in response. "I get these headaches sometimes, you know. Never figured out why. Ibu never worked. But one time I took Paracetamol and it just. Stopped."
Nico nods encouragingly. Will looks at him expectantly. It takes Nico a moment to realize that... that was the story. He straightens (ha, as if) up again. "Wait, that's it?" Maybe he should reassess his whole 'Will's life as the blueprint average demigod experience'-thing.
"Well, yeah." Will looks irritated, glaring at Nico and the shoulder he'd been leaning on. "Prick", Nico mutters, nontheless going back to their previous position. Will flicks at his nose in response. He doesn't have to look at Will to know he's wearing one of his stupidly triumphant smirks. "I was curious as to why paracetamol worked where ibuprofen had failed me so many times before. And do you know what I found?"
"A forgotten ancient myth about how Paracetamol was created by your dad?" Will flicks Nico's nose. Again. He can admit that it was probably deserved, though.
"No, stupid. I found out that we don't know how Paracetamol works. Isn't that insane? We take the pill. The pill works. BUT WE DON'T KNOW HOW IT DOES ITS THING!" He has a manic glint in his eyes that speaks of many sleepless nights devoted to exactly this question.
"So....you immediately went from that to greek gods are real? Just like that?"
"Obviously." Nico glares. Will has the nerve to smile at him. Fucking prick. As much as he complains about how impossible it is to know whether Nico is being sarcastic or serious, Will is infinitely worse. Especially because most people don't know to expect it.
Nico punches him, because sometimes fists speak louder than words, and Will just laughs. Nico moves away before he can get his nose flicked for a third time. It almost makes him miss the times people were still scared of him (that's a lie.)
"Okay, no." Will is still laughing, as if he hadn't just survived a blow by the Ghost King himself. Idiot. "But when Maron explained about gods and monsters and all that mess I remembered paracetamol and thought: yeah, that makes sense. Like, of course it's magic. You know?"
Nico just shakes his head fondly, once again stuck somewhere between amusement, endearment and just plain confusion. "Sure. Of course."

Hai!! I saw that your requests are open and you also do match-ups! I was wondering if I could request a match-up for ROTTMNT?? (Feel free to ignore this if ur busy btw ^^’)
I’m 5’5, trans FTM. I go by multiple names, but my internet alias is Mia. I have short brown hair with raccoon tails (like the 2000’s scene-kid kind) and dark brown eyes. My hobbies are art (digital/traditional) crafts, collecting trinkets or Monster High Dolls and LPS. I have autism & ADHD, and my special interests are ants and psychology. I have a big vocabulary and I have a hard time being emotionally open. My personality type or whatever it’s called is INFP-T, but I like to act dramatic and ‘mean’ for the giggles.
(Again, feel free to completely ignore this request lol.)
Hey Mia!! Sorry I took so long- [It's my first matchup so bear with me-] Also, don't know if I should add a tag list or not, so I've decided not to
Personally, I ship you with Donnie!
💜 - Finally! Someone who he can talk to without having to dumb it down!
💜 - As for art, if you're the kind to give gifts [paintings and such] expect him to give you little trinkets to collect in return.
💜 - And yes, he will get you whatever doll/action figure you want, not only on special occasions, but on random days as well!
💜 - I can vividly imagine him just flying by on his jetpack, then comically coming to stop as he sees something you'd like through the shop window
💜 - I can not stress this enough but ✨THEATER KIDS✨
💜 - Personally, I believe Donnie's MBTI is INTP [type A or type T, I'll never know]. Seeing as you're both introverted, dates nights or just general hangouts will be spent indoors in one of you guys' homes!
💜 - Movie nights where you both quote the lines <3
💜 - The two of you being emotionally unavailable with each other might or might not become a problem depending on how you two overcome it.
💜 - You may not be openly emotional with each other, but those moment spent in silence, enjoying each other's presence, those little gifts that were traded, the info-dumping sessions spent together, they make up for it pretty well, I'd say <3
💜 - As for the autism and ADHD!
💜 - He doesn't mind, I mean, he'd be a hypocrite if he didn't date you just because you were neurodivergent.
💜 - If you're the kind to stim vigorously, he'll make sure to baby proof his lab a bit, so you don't end up hurting yourself.
💜 - But, he will probably do some stimming himself so happy little stimming sessions are to be expected
💜 - Vocal stims aren't minded either! In fact, if you're both in a good mood, he might join in.
💜 - If you like having someone do your hair, he's willing to try! He'll probably open up YouTube and follow along, and depending on the hair style and your hair type, it might not take too long!
💜 - If you guys are long enough into the relationship for cuddles, he will play with your hair, so beware-
💜 - Ants and psychology you say?
💜 - As a guy with his own special interests, he doesn't mind. In fact, he probably respects you for it.
💜 - Will put aside a project just to listen to you ramble on about either topic.
💜 - As I said earlier, info-dumping sessions are a must!
💜 - Now, if you're into psychology and plan on being a therapist and such, don't try to dig into his emotions too much
💜 - My boy takes time, and he'll open up when he's ready.

Do you have any headcanons for yandere icarus?
''Let me take care of you my love, I always will even if you don't want to.'' - Icarus.
❝⚡— lady l: I hope you like these headcanons, anon! I certainly enjoyed writing Icarus as a yandere a lot and I hope you will also enjoy how he was written. Feedbacks are always welcome and I'm sorry for any mistakes :) Good reading!!! 😊❤️
❝tw: yandere themes, obsessive and possessive behavior, uncontrolled jealousy, implied physical aggression, dub-con, implicit murder, threats, slight nsfw, unhealthy relationship.
❝pairing: yandere!icarus x gender neutral!reader
Icarus is known for his disobedient and impulsive behavior when he tried to fly across the Aegean Sea and this culminated in his death. His yandere features are slight but they're still there and he's developed a new obsession after laying his eyes on you and he doesn't intend to lose you.
His love for you is very strong and he is always there for you, he doesn't like to be left out and will act annoyingly if you ignore him. Icarus likes attention, but your attention even more and he lives for it, he craves your approval and love and he is willing to do anything to get it.
He is very delusional actually, he thinks you are together before you are and if anyone dares to try to break the illusion he will act in strange and even violent ways depending on the person. He won't listen to anyone but you, and he will even go against his own father if he objects to your relationship. He loves you, why can't others understand that?
There are few things he wouldn't do for you and one of them is letting you fly, he might be being extremely hypocritical and it's not like he really cares but he doesn't want anything to happen to you. He can't let anything happen to you and even though he trusts you and his father, he's still not taking any chances.
Icarus is the type of person that will always put you first in everything, he lives for you, he breathes and would die for you, he is willing to do anything for you. If you asked him to kill his own family he would do it without question, he is an obedient yandere for you and you only. You wield all kinds of power over which even he doesn't know, even he doesn't quite know the extent of his obsession with you but one thing is certain, he will do whatever you order and ask.
In contrast to him being obedient to you, Icarus will demand your presence constantly, he won't listen if you say it's not possible or how unrealistic it was, he'll take what he wants and if he wants you, he'll have you. He knows he might be being a bad boy but he doesn't care about any of it, he wants you all the time, in every way and will act violently if his demands are not met.
To say he's clingy is stupid, Icarus is a very, so much, clingy. He wants to be with you all the time, if he can follow you to the bathroom for example, he will. You're the one who has to set limits for him, and chances are he won't respect them, but you're the one who has to control them. You are the only one who can make him listen and he will listen to you, even if he doesn't like being too far away from you, he will if you tell him to. But he likes to snuggle with you, he likes to have you in his arms or to lay in your arms and listen to your heartbeat, he loves everything about you.
Icarus is insanely jealous of you, he is a spoiled man and he will not be deprived of you, ever. He will act irritating and needy when he's jealous (something that happens all too often). He's not the type of guy who share you with anyone, no matter who it is, you are his and you will always be his. He is not the type to threaten people, but if he is feeling threatened by someone he will make death threats and promises to whoever is making him jealous and will be even more clingy than usual. Icarus will remind you who you belong in every possible way you can imagine.
He is overprotective of you, he has your back all the time, even when there is no danger of any kind in sight, he will still hold you protectively in his arms and make sure you are safe and warm. Icarus likes to take care of you, he always has, and even though he'll never tell you out loud, he likes it when you're vulnerable and allow yourself to be loved and cared for by him and him alone. It's adorable when you cringe and crawl into his arms, it's rhe Elysian Fields as far as he's concerned.
Icarus likes to take you in his time, taking all the necessary care and affection, you are and always have been his priority and he wants to make you feel nothing less than a goddess/god and he will. He would take you slow and agonizing, slowly pushing into your heat, enjoying your changing expressions, he wants to see the pure pleasure on your face, he craves it. Icarus likes to give more than he gets when it comes to you, he loves to eat you, lick your juices while circling your clit with his index finger is making slow finger movements, or sucking you hard, squeezing your entire length and licking your glans as if he was starving and he was, starving for you. He prefers to lick/suck you, he likes to taste you, but he won't protest if you want to do the same for him. He's kind and loving normally, but if he's jealous or you want him to, he'll be hard and rough with you.
Icarus is many things, impulsive, reckless and obedient, but he's all of those things just for you. He doesn't care if he needs to be any other way to please you, he will, because all that really matters at the end of the day is his happiness and he will do anything to see you happy. If you want expensive gifts then whatever, he will give it to you or if you prefer simple things he will give it to you too, none of that matters but only you and he will remind you of that every day of your life. You're important to him, the love of his life, and Icarus can't risk anything happening to you, ever. You are everything to him and he will protect and love you forever. Remember this, he is yours and you are his.

Can we get a full rant about the Paris special?
You're probably going to get more out of me once it fully airs but for now just.
The evil characters motivations just kinda suck for comparing them to the originals. Which again: I don't want to do because I hate the 'oh this other person had the same trauma and handled it better' thing, but when it's the same character going through the same trauma it's bullshit.
Shadybug's reason for being evil sucks because it's literally just 'she didn't meet Alya' which is supposed to be part of the Derision Retcon of how awful Chloé was even though it doesn't match with anything we saw in Season 1-3 but I can ignore that because it commits a worse crime: Letting us know that if Marinette didn't meet Alya that exact day, she would've gone full murderous villain before the day was over. Like literally Alya is the only thing different, which means even Canon!Mari is just one bad day from snapping and killing everyone.
Claw Noir makes no goddamn sense because Canon!Adrien was able to healthily handle his mother's 'death' even having Canon!Gabriel as his abusive neglectful bastard of a father. How is it that a version of Adrien that had a genuinely good father end up handling his mother's 'death' so poorly that he's down to kill whoever gets in the way as a coping mechanism?
All of this might be rendered unnecessary anyway with the fact that they're working for whatever 'Supreme' that's actually the Big Bad and might be forcing them into this? I need more info on that before I give a verdict.
I thought Hesperia being 'Good' would be the hardest sell considering Season 4 and 5's insistence that his evil plans have been 15-ish years in the making(despite the finale's insistence that he's only 'evil' because he misses Emilie) especially since clearly said plans are still in place as Alt!Adrien exists and Emilie 'died' meaning they got the Peacock. But other than the above plothole of somehow Good!Gabriel let Adrien end up as Claw Noire, he seems fine.
There's a lot of missed opportunities where they're trying to show alternate universes but only focusing on a single one. Like again: give us an Into the Ladyverse. We appearently see them for a few seconds during a Scooby-Doo Chase Scene™ which is the biggest slap in the face.
Other than the fact that this entire special on a base premise shouldn't be possible due to all other episodes insisting that there is only One True Timeline and that if anything somehow diverges, Bunnyx will come and make sure everything goes exactly as she remembers it.
We have yet another round of mass murdering terrorist supervillains who are validated because 'oh they were sad' so it's okay that they committed horrific crimes that they don't feel any remorse for outside of a 'let me just say, from the bottom of my heart: my bad.' but they're now redeemed with no consequences. And I wouldn't even care /that/ much because like a little hypocritical coming from an MLP fan if it weren't for the fact that 1.) they feel no remorse whatsoever and 2.) we have the narrative constantly beating us over the head about how none of this applies to the one abused teenage girl who's acting out because of trauma despite not going full supervillain on her own terms just being a jerk to her classmates.

This thing about tommy dying and someone’s fantasy that they want him to meet grace is obviously bothering you. A LOT. No matter what their justification is to see that, why are you constantly ranting about it? I am told you have blocked tommygrace fan accounts so why bother what they think. It is no secret that you dislike Grace and like to JUSTIFY how she doesn’t have much importance. I have read your meta and you are terribly biased against that character. You can insist and pretend you are not part of the ship wars but you are very judgemental about Grace and always reduce her character while supporting Lizzie and her stan. I mentioned about your posts to the original poster and her reaction was to laugh at you. She mentioned you are a hypocrite who finds every opportunity to rant about Grace fans and ignore the ridiculousness that goes on in other parts of the fandom. Like why would you say “you have never seen lizzie stan talk about dying?” I mean obviously they are too busy praying for lizzie to finally get tommy even though they were toxic together. All fans have their hopes and wishes, you are selectively picking on Grace stan.
a) i like grace a lot! so wrong there.
b) i have been clear that the part that bothers me is talking about tommy dying as if that's the only thing left for him given how traumatized he is. that's completely unnecessary and a really gross thing to say. sorry!
c) i can block whoever i want, whoever annoys me, and i encourage you do to the same. please, block me.
d) i do not tag my posts about this stuff so you have clearly come looking for it, or follow me. there's an easy solution to both of those things.
e) grace has a lot more power and privilege than lizzie, canonically, and that is what i have written about in my metas. you're free to interpret that as bias and as me taking part in the shipwars but that's a really silly interpretation of my motivations here.
f) oh no a random person doesn't like me, what will i do
g) i ignore the other ridiculousness that goes on in fandom because i don't go looking for it. i only ever comment on the grace fans stuff because you guys can't help but attach yourselves to posts of people i follow even when they don't tag fandom, so clearly you go fishing for reasons to be upset all the time, and you never take a hint.
h) it's very funny that you're complaining about me when my latest comments were sparked by a grace fan stomping into a post of one of my mutuals to whine at them. and the last time i ranted about grace fans, it was for the same reason: a grace fan attaching to themselves to a post of someone i followed and making a fool of themselves, because you can't just keep it to yourself.
i) i don't care if lizzie fans pray about lizzie and tommy staying together and i don't care if grace fans pray that tommy dies so that he can be with grace, as i explained, if any of you would ever look past your shipwar nonsense to comprehend, i think it's toxic and gross to talk about a character basically needing to be shot like a horse because that's the only thing left for him. i've been quite specific!
j) i'm not "picking on grace fans" i am having an opinion about a gross regressive thing that some grace fans say, on my own blog, untagged.
k) please, continue to hate follow me or whatever it is you people do that you always come complaining to me about *my* opinions posted in my own space, untagged. I never go searching for your posts, i do not come into your spaces and spew things at you, it is always the reverse, and that is other thing i have consistently been critical of, and you cannot help yourselves but do it...
and here you are again. proving my point.

So because I've seen it compared to Worm, I started reading The Boys by Garth Ennis. It's bad! Like really bad! It feels like what would happen if you let an edgy anti-feminist atheist youtuber from 2015 write a comic book. I finished the first volume of the omnibus in large part because it was a train wreck I couldn't look away from, and am debating starting the second since I hate myself. The most interesting parts are actually the little forewords. Through them I learned both that it was supposed to be a comedy, and also a critique of the military industrial complex/police (or at least that people read it as one). This was surprising to me since it is neither funny nor incisive. Anyway, now I want to ramble incoherently about my problems with it because this goddamn comic broke my brain.
Okay, so one of the most common ways it shows you which characters you aren't supposed to like is by having them do comically "gross" sex stuff. Notable examples include cocaine fueled orgies, mentions of shitting during sex, bestiality, masturbating in public to the sight of disabled people, and a little person using sex toys. One that shows up repeatedly in this context is characters being bisexual or gay. Now, I don't wanna get controversial, but I think any claims that your work is a critique of capitalism, police, the military, or whatever are rendered moot when your villains are a group of secret hedonistic sex-freaks. Like we can't pretend that doesn't sound a lot like regressives and their obsession with "degeneracy". Sexual assaults, misogyny, and slurs also appear pretty often, mostly as the punch line for jokes. Victims are rendered down into objects and denied any sense of interiority so we can instead focus on what really matters (gore porn, and middle school 4chan posters' sense of humor). Never once does Ennis deign to explore the actual impact and trauma of these things, or ask why he views these things as material for jokes.
That incuriosity is I think the real problem with The Boys. There is no actual coherent thought about why things are bad. Superheroes hurt people and are wrong because of their personal moral failings as selfish perverts, not because their whole job is to violently enforce the will of the state. It's like if someone agreed that all cops are bastards, but only because all cops just so happened to be "bad apples". The main characters literally work for the fucking CIA, and yes, I know the titular Boys are at best meant to be anti-heroes a la the Punisher. My issue here isn't that they're hypocrites who are frequently also horrible. It's that this premise for is absolute nonsense if you think for half a second. Superheroes do not function without the legitimacy granted to them by the state and it's monopoly on violence, so why would the CIA need these 5 randos with zero oversight working to take out the supers? Is the force Homelander and the others can bring to bear so great that even the apparatus of that state can't deal with them? If so, why does this group of assholes change that? Normally I'd be willing to give the story a lot more of a pass when it comes to questions like this, except I'm being told that this story has things to say about systemic problems involving the government and corporations! So I have to ask, where? Where is the commentary? What does it actually have to say about the state of the world circa 2006-2012? The only answer I can come up with is "not a whole lot". It's a story which dares to ask the tough questions like "what if the world was made of pudding" and then ignore answering those questions so it can instead recite Ellis' favorite slurs in alphabetical order while showing you a woman's tits.
On a lighter note, it's also just not very good. The plot (as mentioned) falls apart under any amount of scrutiny, pacing is bizarre in a bad way, the characters aren't compelling, themes remains stubbornly unexplored, and Ellis is allergic to doing anything interesting or creative with the premise he's decided to base a whole comic around. I genuinely do not know what people enjoy(ed) about this comic.
#It's a thoroughly unpleasant experience on about every level#There was actually one moment I liked#and it was when the frenchman and the female (those are their names) are playing reverse strip poker#where they have to put on more and more layers of heavy clothing#that was a cute bit and made me do a neutral nose exhale#also people who compare it to Worm please show your work#because the math isn't mathing#is it just that they're darker superhero stories?#worm#worm wildbow#worm web serial#the boys#the boys comics#my meds are acting up so apologies for any incoherence#but also reading the boys just does that to your brain I think

why is it so bad for me to like.. not.. like bullying just because the world is cruel?
my mom sees me as a smartass. i dont understand why. all i did was 'argue' against her (add my opinion in opposition to hers).
like, my brother says how he called a girl a dumpling hair or whatever? AND MY MOM ENCOURAGED IT.
so i obvi told her, "this is bullying." her argument was basically "thats the world. the world is cruel." and i told her "you must be the change you see in the world, you shouldn't just endure whatever because 'that's just the way the world works'." and shes like "ohoho, i'm enduring, alright." and "when you were getting bullied, you say anything? no. you didnt. you endured it." and.. oh my god, am i tired.
just because i endured it doesnt mean thats what youre meant to do. (i told her this, and she was just like "yeah yeah okay")
the reason i endured it is BECAUSE i would get bullied more. raise a child who wouldn't bully worse if 'tattle-taled' on. hell-- raise a child who doesn't bully at all! does she not see the fault in her ways? why must she encourage this behavior?
when i was getting bullied, i remember my mom saying how she'll suspend the bullies or whatever.
she didnt. i told her not to.
wanna know why i did that? because the bullying would only get worse.
(sorry, this part is repetitive. im keeping it because i dont want to change stuff and possibly leave out something.)
i think my mom is a yesman.
i cant win against her. i get that "oh youre not supposed to win an argument, merely come to a mutual understanding" but oh my god. i just want her to see my point of view. shes such a brick wall. im so tired. whenever i have a good point, she is just sarcastic and yet she tells me to stop being sarcastic?
althouh i am aware its not literally genetic -- you are a mosaic of everybody you once knew (stole that from pinterest), and i don't think she realizes how much of her glass reflects.
i'm more like her than she realizes and i'm so scared of that.
anyways -- only when i'm done crying does she say "oh, [brother's (the bully) name], don't call people's hair a dumpling!" and.. the way she had to be confronted to say that is so wrong..
im so tired. i dont want to endure the world anymore. i dont want to change the world by being kind anymore. sure, i did once, but what's even the use when people like this exist?
"oh, but Mercy, she's your mother!" does.. that matter? this isnt even trauma this is anger. im typing this out of rage and frustration and i've honestly bitten my nails off already so what else can i do? i know nobodys going to see this. nothing even matters anymore.
honestly, if this is the way the world works then i want no part of it. i might just leave.
(no, i'm not being dramatic and i'm not planning on 'leaving' (a euphemism) BECAUSE of this.. conversation.. (can't call it an argument because.. i 'should never argue with my mom because she's my mother'. (also, i'm not saying you should ALWAYS argue with your mom over everything, only when there is wrong or it's for the better) (please excuse this take and how foul it sounds and all the loopholes im so sad about being misunderstood)) alone but this is always her. if im not agreeing with her, i'm always the one wrong. i have learned i will never be a good person. not just in these interactions-- in everything! in school, in relationships, hell, what can't i do wrong? anyways, that's why i want to 'leave'.)
and i am showing mercy. she makes this snarky remark about how "ohoho, you go by Mercy online, right? have mercy!! you hypocrite.". she doesnt understand the meaning behind my words. at all. she takes everything face-value. she either acts stupid (NOT CALLING HER STUPID. IM SAYING SHE IS FEIGNING IGNORANCE AND UNKNOWING.) or she genuinely does not understand one thing. (AGAIN NOT CALLING HER STUPID. IM SAYING SHE DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THE MEANING AT HAND OFTEN.) (you might be asking; oh, mercy, but why don't you just say the parenthesis instead of these offensive words? and i answer: because these offensive words are the way i can best explain my feelings without making it wordy.)
i'm sorry if i come off as condescending for the clarification. i'm scared of being misunderstood. sorry for everything. please forgive me.
