06/11/24 - Jonestown, TX - DAZED & CONFUSED - This is what dazed and confused looks like after a face plant and a hard hit to the head. Was out riding with some cyclists from nearby Jonestown this morning and was approaching a stop sign at the bottom of a long hill. Was standing up on my pedals to rest my butt and inadvertently hit just the front brake. Next thing I know, I’m flying over the handlebars and hitting the pavement. My mouth and head took the brunt of it and I count myself very fortunate not to have had a concussion or lost any of my front teeth. A special thank you to the ‘Good Samaritan’ passerby who drove me home and my fellow cyclists for taking my bike home as well. And for the rest of you cyclists out there: you’ll be glad to know that the bike is ok.
