A passion for light that began as a child and has grown over the years to become my profession. The courage to experiment and an avid desire to learn about materials, their behavior and their use in the most diverse forms integrated with design notes. #on my hands and knees howling its a visual au and needs to be in a visual medium and ive made peace with this i PROMISE #i have its just. god i love the visual concepts i have in my mind for this au ooouuugghhh #tbh same for some bits of the crimson king au (esp some ideas i have with light color palette usage for settings)#horror au is mostly still just A Concept but it wpuld also likely need to be visual #tbh they all have like. mental concept art #like with the space au i took some inspo from some of ghirahim’s concept art and went with the idea that he has four arms in this au #that might be the biggest surface level design shift but just a lot of like altered designs to lean into like #the idea that there is a lot of people who are part different races like link is mostly hylian with some zora mixed in #zelda is mostly hylian with a bit of gerudo and sheikah #i think tetra’s little gang is a whole bunch lf stuff its still mostly concept stuff #got the linebeck tunnel vision. hes got a fun few designs :)#this is probably one of the most intact of my og aus tbh. its fun i just keep shuffling stuff around #and adding stuff. its good. still iffy on the plot #started writing this hours ago at work and then got sidelined and got back to browsing job openings #get me outtttt #salty talks #salty’s loz aus

#em draws stuff #oc time again hehe #moth and compass #the light keeper: luna maitland #the fool: moth worley #the lieutenant: chadwick goodfellow #these are Visual Design Vibes and also Personality Vibes #working in a very loose sketchy style because my hands will not allow any other at this time #but I think it worked out just fine!#moth gets shorter every time I draw them and I think that is good and right #I went back through a lot of older art to pick outfits for this one and ended up going back to the very first skirt I designed for luna #it's such a fun one and I ought to use it more often #whereas for moth's summery look (which I don't draw that much) I just borrowed the shirt I made up for demoman in cliftonsimage #mostly for reasons of I Want That Shirt so terribly much #...I said while typing this in my horrendously oversized bowling shirt.

#i have returned from death (school). limbo‚ even.#i shall not describe it as hell thanks to my lovely Friend (trademark) whom lights up the entire room for me #despite probably darkening it for everyone else due to her apathetic and uncaring nature. oh she's perfect #ahem. not the point. and also very boring to the rest of you who do not know nor care about her #well! the day went fairly great. she (the Friend) seemed to really enjoy my gift and got embarrassed by it‚ which was my intention #she read through the notebook i prepared for her over the summer as a sort of diary directed at her and she really laughed at some parts #she seemed to like the keychain‚ i hope to see her use it #she also really liked the matching-with-mine astronaut that is both an eraser and a pencil sharpener and is already using it #and she ate the two chocolate bars (her favorites) i added into the box as extras.#she was also pretty impressed when i pointed out design choices i made for the inside of the box #so all in all. great day‚ amazing day‚ nearly perfect dare i say. god why does it rhyme. i hate it here #ahem anyway!#we also have new teachers that took the place of the old ones. of course many remain unchanged‚ but it didn't go without any new faces #notably‚ we have a new qur'an teacher‚ a new math teacher and a new literature teacher.#some other teachers were also changed but i have not met them yet so i do not know which #i am especially conflicted with the new literature teacher -#on one hand‚ he's great! very funny‚ very considerate‚ and quite a good teacher from what i've seen.#on the other hand i will also quite miss the old literature teacher.#she was nice! i hope i get to see her around the school #anywwy‚ i will also be missing the old qur'an teacher a lot. she was my favorite‚ and she is very kind-hearted #im fine with the math teacher i suppose. i liked the old one‚ and the new one seems a bit... extra? but i don't feel too strongly on it.#i heard the english teacher we had was replaced and the one we had left the school‚ so that's sad. i really liked her.#🌙rambling

New dice I got from TerribleTrioCrafts (@dicedragonjo on tumblr) are freaking gorgeous and arrived just in time for my dnd session tonight which is perfect since I only have one other set right now that isn’t currently packed away in a moving box

There was also a sticker packed with the order and who doesn’t love stickers especially when they fit perfectly in the very little remaining space you have on your laptop lmao

#it’s the sticker right above the vans sticker #seriously tho when the light hits these and shines through the blue #and you can see the swirls of white inside some of them even have that sick sorta petri look to it #so glad I saw the tumblr post of these dice and made an impulsive purchase lol #rachel's ramblings #also they just have a good hand feel??#im like weirdly particular about the size of my dice #I think it’s bc chessex is the standard but most handmade and ‘designer’ dice are bigger than chessex dice #(by standard I mean they’re widely available and probably most folks first dice)#but it’s why I don’t like kraken dice aside from the company itself apparently being trash #their dice are too big and for what? they’re not even that great tbh #but I also just bought some dice from Dispel recently and they’re super pretty and quality #but the d10/% are funky lol they’re such long bois #it’s not a bad thing just different #anyway all that to say #that I just like how these dice look and feel in my hand and when I roll #they’re a very good size
