I have so many it's not even funny I just want to cry, so I'll just share a few? (I've got seventeen separate docs for started unfinished stories and then another document that is just a list of ideas 11 pages long)

Most of them are for HTTYD. I have

an AU in which Stoick chooses to bow down and follow/worship Drago in exchange for help, so Hiccup grows up in this tyrannical totalitarian reign, and of course overthrows it with the help of Toothless. It's really dark and I know it's super long, so I'm still brainstorming and would have to finish the whole first draft of it before I ever dreamed of posting so I could do it justice. But it has lots of killing and making the heroes morally gray in order to win a war, and I have a playlist I like to listen to while I daydream about it, so yeah

after reading this really good MHA fic (rated E for you children), I was inspired to do an au in which Astrid is born a few years after Hiccup in some weird glitch in the timeline. And on a subconscious level, Astrid is aware of it, so it's Astrid trying to get back into the place she thinks she's 'supposed' to be in, but she's young. As a teenager, a three year age difference is a lot growing up, when you're in high school and at different stages, so I want to explore Astrid feeling out of place and also learning to forge her own story that isn't parallel to Hiccup's. I also think it'd be fun to explore how certain things change in regards to Hiccup's journey without Astrid there as much - and then of course, there is a whole lot of pining ;) And then I have aus of that au

There is an Arcane au I totally want to do as well, but like with the Drago au, it's too huge in my head so I'd have to outline and rough draft it before thinking of really posting it.

I also really want to expand on my Dragon Racing au, both with how Hiccup and Astrid came to their arrangement, and then resolving it (with maybe some steamy scenes in between if I ever get brave enough)

in terms of little oneshots/ficlets I also really want to do a band au for KamiJirou, a few high school aus for Hiccstrid, an appreciative character introspection of Ruffnut, explore a few small idea for rarepairs like Heather/Eret, and dabble in the multiple different RotBFTD etc aus - and that big fight I asked you for writing tips about

I kinda have time now so I'm trying to finish up little oneshots and that age difference au so that I can build up my stamina to writing another long fic that'll actually be long. Let's hope I actually do it?

It happened spontaneously, but I love AU. So… Avatar Hiccup. Hiccup considered himself an ordinary person before meeting Toothless. (Dragons can be equated to spirits, i mean relationships between people and them). Then he discovered his talent as an airbender and Toothless became his teacher. Later, other talents were discovered, which made it clear that Hiccup was an avatar.

Astrid became his waterbender teacher. Snotlout was an adept of firebender, but he sincerely did not understand how to teach, because he himself used magic on a subconscious level. Fishlegs is an earthbender, but he did not go beyond the amateur level and could not become a teacher. The twins are always on their own wave. Ruffnut is a master in airbending and can perform techniques with clouds of gas, while Tuffnut is not a master, but is ready to set fire to the gas with his sparks at any moment. The twins always come in a set.

Brothers Grimborn! Lord of Fire Viggo. The aesthetics of blue flame and lightning were created for him. So I couldn't resist. The hottest flame and deadly techniques of lightningbending made him the most terrible opponent for the young avatar, but in the future, he will become the teacher of fire magic for Hiccup. I endowed Riker with explosion magic, as for me, it suits him perfectly. An explosive mixture of rage and bloodlust.

Berserkers! Remembering Viggo's words about how the berserkers in ancient times lured the Skrills with metal, I thought about a tribe practicing metalbending. Dagur discovered his talent for earth magic much later, including metal. I like to think that Dagur could be a threat to the avatar even as an ordinary person, relying on his ingenuity and physical strength. Heather is a master of earth and metal magic, she could well become Hiccup's teacher in this matter.

please let me know if I’ve made any mistakes in crediting but these guy’s posts were my main inspiration fr

enjoy some WIPs, currently I’m making them for reference so I can draw the gang doing some scenes

might have gone a bit insane over the festive season and fallen head first into this western AU. basically everything is the same but instead of Vikings it’s cowboys! I’m gonna colour these all and want to do more art/drawings of this too bc it has been occupying my thoughts lol

- set in a fictional Old West, similar to how the canon treats Viking lore and accuracy, assume this is the same 😂

- in this AU, Hiccup loses his leg before he meets Toothless in some sort of stampede/horse-related accident, which makes Stoic, the cheif of the town, more protective of him/not want him to go near them

- Hiccup finds Toothless as a wild mustang, trapped in a gorge. Hijinx ensue, Hiccup saves him, and they bond.

-Hiccup and Fishlegs live in the same town. Astrid, Lout, Ruff and Tuff are part of a group of travelling cowboys from out of town or somethin lol. Something happens and Legs and Hic have to travel with them for a bit. Haven’t worked everything out yet but if people have ideas feel free to let me know!

- Ruff and Tuff are in charge of the supplies wagon and they often confuse Barf & Belch with their arguing. The poor horses go in different directions or one of them might stop while the other keeps going 😭

- Meatlug is usually seen pulling a little wagon with extra supplies/Fishlegs rides in the wagon sometimes when they go on adventures so she ends up being the slowest in the group, similar to how she is the slowest of the gang’s dragons

- Hookfang is an Arabian horse and he has a really firey temper and has a similar relationship to Snotlout as in the canon. Snotlout made Hookfang rear up on his hind legs once, but Snotlout fell off and Hookfang left him in the dust 💀

- Astrid is the leader of the cowboys. Stormfly has little braids in her mane as that’s Astrid’s way of showing affection.
