My second workout today was a HIIT session that I recorded for my YouTube channel.
Very basic moves, three intervals of each one.
I made myself an instant decaff with a teaspoon of collagen peptide powder.
I'm all about that right now.
Then time for my delicious lunch.
Feeling good on my high fat (60%), mid range protein (30%) and low (10%) net carbs.
The collagen is an easy way to get that protein up!

Let's get real here... 🔥 I absolutely condone training with a smile especially when you're training recreationally or for mental health. There are many studies that suggest we perform even better with a smile as well. BUT(For me) Your mindset is constantly changing hour to hour and sometimes minute to minute. There's a very popular mindset we all have inside our heads - dubbed "your inner bitch" by Joe Rogan - this head space is essentially the voice that tells you "take a break today", "you're too tired to train", or "go back to sleep". For me this mindset pops up most frequently in the mornings and evenings. I try to be an absolute dick to this version of myself. I try to beat him every time he pops up during important phases of my programs or life. How do I do this? The most uncomfortable shit I can think of. Too comfy to get out of bed? - walk outside in the rain commando and have an icey shower. Poor excuse for training? - Drop and rep push ups until you can't move your arms. Don't want to eat your veggies? - Fast for 24 hours. Doing things like this often quells my inner bitch and sits the "bull" back at the helm. It's important to note that these are not effective methods for actual mental or physical ailments you may have. You have to learn enough about yourself to sense when your "inner bitch" is leading you or if you have an actual problem. For example I've noticed some specific language my "inner bitch" uses almost exclusively. So when I hear or notice that, it triggers my mean side to kick into action. It's like waving a flag in front of your "inner bull". And he's fucking mean... Learning this will push you through those phases which cause most people to plateau or lose progress. Be good to yourself. Be mean to your inner bitch. No matter what else is going on in my life, no matter if I'm totally off my game, bacon and eggs makes it feel a little better!
With tinned tomatoes, mushrooms and some psyllium husk powder. Pure fibre!
Delicious, comforting food. Yes, bacon is processed meat. No, tinned food isn't necessarily fabulous.
Do I care? Nope 😂.
Eggs fried in olive oil (which is fine, as long as you don't keep reheating the same oil. It's a one-time thing here).
I'm all about the fat!
Anyway, after another very tough day both physically (symptom wise) and emotionally (same reason), I'm still doing my best to carry on regardless.
An active day, including another workout to upload to my YouTube channel. Lower body "Cardio-Tone" as I call it.
I'm easing back ever so slightly with 14hr fasts right now. Allowing a later snack for a second day.
I'm starting to accept the strong possibility that my issue might be linked to my daily peanut fix. It sounds ridiculous, but I'm honestly genuinely upset about that. I've cut everything else out over the past few years, adding a few things back in when it's clear they had no influence. Sick of having to keep doing it over and over. Not ready for this one yet. But I'm going to try. Peanuts tonight, then one full week without. See if anything changes.
And now I'm going to go have a cry......

Since Samhain I have been working on meditating and exercising as well as using Amethyst, Clear Quartz and Sunstone to help with my anxiety and seasonal depression. I know that Daylight Savings Time throws me for a Loop EVERY FALL.
But, LCD, you ask, what does this have to do with coming out, being bisexual, or any of that other stuff? Well, friends, I have always known my gift is healing, but it is remarkably difficult to help others find balance when you aren't in balance yourself.
Over the last few years I have found it more and more difficult to keep a balanced mind and body (yes, I am a true nerd and that WAS a Soul Eater reference!) but I didn't know why and I was growing more and more frustrated!
I even ended up with a remarkably pointed vision from Cerridwen, and She is usually much subtler with me!
It's hard to find a missing piece when you don't know to look for it. But it's amazing how of balance you can become when something is missing, even if it is simply the knowledge that you like women too, and that's ok.
Suddenly, I understood that the missing piece wasn't something OUTSIDE. I stopped looking for it in toxic relationships and other's approval (bosses, family, boyfriends, friends). I still hate cardio, and have snarky internal names for my online HIIT instructor, but I found my motivation and my smile again.
So much of it is because the tumblr community is so welcoming and my true friends and family are supportive. But a lot of it is because I'm done looking for that missing piece from someone else's approval and I'm ready to find my own.
