"will shouldn't use a gun in season five because his father probably taught him how to use one and that could be a bad reminder for him" have you considered that will using what was very likely a Bad experience to save his life in what is undoubtedly an even worse experience could be a good thing? have you considered that him using a skill he was forced to learn to save not only himself but (as is likely more important and meaningful to him) the lives of others could give him a sense of usefulness and safety knowing that he isn't defenseless and can stand his and others' ground if need be? especially considering that's a skill that we've only seen hopper and nancy possess, making it that much more valuable and himself more helpful to the group? after everything in s1 and s2, he's probably felt guilty for having endangered them and dozens of other people multiple times, i don't think it'd be out there for him to feel "happy" that he can finally return the favor and protect them for once (especially after having complained about being babied and treated like a doll).

"will doesn't have and shouldn't have powers because that makes him different and he doesn't want to be different" not only are you wrong lol <3 but how have you not noticed that will's entire thing since the very beginning is that he is different and he knows it and while he does get his heart broken over the fact that this means he faces constant unfairness in life, he still refuses to be any other way? will doesn't conform nor does he ever try to even when others try to force or shame him to. he gets frustrated and upset at being treated differently, yes, but he stays true to himself. to battle that feeling he sometimes gets that tells him he's a mistake, a feeling he gets not from his own otherness but from living in a world that Makes it an otherness and thus isolates him for it, he seeks out that which he loves and enjoys and throws himself wholeheartedly at it. will lives his truth and is willing to suffer the consequences for it. he refuses to live in darkness and let it take a hold of him. he holds on to hope and all that makes him feel better for being different. he holds on to art, to dnd, to video games, to his family and his friends, and everything that brings him joy and reminds him that it's okay to be different. in s1 joyce defends will ("he's missing is what he is") and jonathan tells him he shouldn't like things that other people (namely their homophobic dad) try to force him to like, that he should like what he genuinely likes. in s2 jonathan gives will the freak speech and tells him that no one normal ever accomplished anything and mentions bowie. in s3, he doesn't get a speech, (though joyce does tell him that when he falls in love he won't find it gross [avoiding the word girlfriend and leaving it neutral]) but he does face backlash from someone that IS trying to conform and IS shaming will for not letting go of "childish" things aka his interests, what's important to him, and what he wants. does will back down or shy away in shame? no. instead, he lets mike sit in his shame for having said something that hurtful, and he says "yeah. i guess i did. i really did." clearly this is a conversation about what makes will different aka his sexuality bc he goes and destroys castle byers (the safe place he and his brother built once their homophobic dad left which is a place will can be himself unapologetically) with what is likely a bat that lonnie gave him when trying to get him into baseball. he calls himself stupid and donates his dnd books, but i don't see this as an act of conformity (he tells mike as much, suggesting he'll just use his books + if he was ashamed he wouldn't have painted the party as their dnd characters and given it to him of all people lol). he felt stupid because he thought they'd always be crazy together, that they were of the same mind and heart still, and that they had the same brand of "otherness" if you catch my drift. then in s4 we get jonathan's tender "you're my brother and there is nothing absolutely nothing that will ever change that" which is the most direct anyone has ever been about that which makes will different. and he doesn't shy away from it! he doesn't deny it, because we can see from his confession and how he breaks down that he's desperately been wanting and needing to hear that. he accepts that love and allows himself to be held and seen by someone else, as he has every other time. because will doesn't hate being different, he just hates that he has to live in a world where that's seen as wrong and thus makes him feel like he doesn't belong because of it. but he doesn't change himself. he doesn't feel ashamed of it. he doesn't see it as a flaw in himself or others and he never has. will is different and he knows it and he wouldn't have it any other way.

will's story since the beginning has been about being different and going through awful things, and managing to not only find the light in it but also make it out stronger because of it all. it's always been about using what makes him different as a good thing and as something he uses to save himself and others.

will being good with a gun bought him time with whatever kidnapped him. will knowing how to run and hide kept him alive in the upside down. will acted as a spy while possessed and managed not only to save hopper but also tell them how to finish this. will's experiences and senses helped them figure out what was happening in season three. will's love and loyalty inspires mike and manages to bring him to a better place even if just for a moment in the van, and again he's the one that knows vecna's current state, aaaand had he been in hawkins at the time it likely would've gone a lot better because as dustin said "we need will".

taking something awful and turning it into a good thing and a source of strength is a wonderful trope. it's inspiring and empowering not only for the character but for those that could use that hope and reminder that there's always a silver lining, that life isn't all darkness and shadows and hurt. not only that, but it's something that they've literally always done for will since the very beginning. he is the prime character for that. his entire message has always been that it's okay to be different and that you can find strength and peace in that; that the things that make you different aren't a detriment, they're precisely what make you strong. like... i'm sorry, but have you not been paying attention at all whatsoever this entire time or... :/

I'm being so fr rn when I say that they would never have even thought to make Will pull a Cyrano if he wasn't going to end up with mike. Cyrano is THE TROPE for the "underdog" winning the love triangle in the end because his feelings for his oldest friend are REAL as opposed to love at first sight (I am so serious). He puts all his love into something and then let's someone else take the credit for it because he believes she'll never love him back. btw the reason why I’m so confident about gay mike isn’t because I think I have some sort of magic, fortune-telling, future-seeing powers that allow me to fully predict s5: it’s because there’s heavy HEAVY amounts of evidence to indicate gay mike REGARDLESS of what happens in s5. Mike isn’t going to become gay in s5- he’s been gay the ENTIRE TIME.

people seem to have some strange ideas about what counts as ‘confirmed gay,’ and while I do think mike will be confirmed gay in s5, my gay mike analysis doesn’t hinge on that although I do talk about it sometimes, it’s not the foundation on which my analysis of him being gay is based. even if we NEVER got s5, mike is clearly written as gay already.

like going back to what counts as ‘confirmed gay,’ people were SO sure that will was gay before the duffers confirmed it and it’s NEVER been verbatim ‘confirmed’ in the show in the way that some people expect gay mike to be confirmed. will didn’t have to say ‘I’m gay’ for people to know that he was gay before the duffers confirmed it, so why should mike? by some peoples’ standards of gay confirmation, will is not confirmed gay in the text of the show. but he is. because we can analyze the way he’s written. and the reason why people struggle to see this with mike is because they’re looking at mike and gayness through a will lens, I got an ask forever ago that I answered about ‘well if mike is gay why isn’t he presented like will,’ and the thing is, we can conclude that mike is gay specifically BECAUSE he isn’t presented the same as will. think about it. if mike still had his same storyline with dating El AND his sexuality was presented the same way as Will’s (framed around attraction to men rather than framed around lack of attraction to girls), mike would seem bi because we would see his attraction to men but not the lack of attraction to girls. and if they got rid of El and just had mike be exactly the same as will with no girlfriend and the presentation of his gayness framed mostly around attraction to men, then they would be the same character AND it would be inaccurate/boring because gay men aren’t a monolith. they didn’t want to make Mike bi which is why they DIDNT present his gayness the same way as Will’s and keep the El relationship storyline and they DIDNT want to make mike gay in the same way as will and remove the El relationship because that’s the same character copy-pasted and provides a more narrow depiction of gay men. that’s why mike’s gayness is presented as being framed around a lack of attraction to girls- because that’s necessary to demonstrate his gayness in spite of his relationship with El.

Mike Wheeler is gay. He has been gay since the start. He is gay right now. He will be gay in s5 but being gay in s5 isn’t the only/core thing that the existence of his gayness/analysis of his gayness hinges on. They have been showing us the gay mike storyline tm since season one episode one.

i'm baaaaaaaaack! happy new year :) idk when the next part will be yet but it won't be as long of a wait as this one was. i very much lost steam on this one alongside going thru a bunch of life stuff. i made this part because people got confused about why eddie was acting like he didnt think richie liked him. i made this part to remind people why he would act that way, not realizing that people were actually confused because the order of events was unclear. all this phone call stuff with beverly is a flashback, before richie even confessed to eddie. whoops. but yeah in retrospect, i kinda worry when the whole thing cuts together that this would be jarring in a tonal/pacing sort of way, but at least we got to see some of the other losers in some compacity, which i know people had been asking about. would LOVE to hear more thoughts on this, because i too have not figured it out. tbh, the whole party growing up was a hard pill to swallow at first cos its bittersweet, but it never made me deny will's character a coming of age arc or sexuality arc. i was like - welp, its happening, whether im sad or not that theyre no longer babies. infantilisation makes sense though - i even had non-fan friends who watch the show assume that will was a few grades below the other boys, and much younger.

perhaps for many, they can't accept his growing up because it's reflective of change in general, of the show coming to an end, changing? this is narrative the show itself explores, though - beautifully, i might add.

but i would love to know what your original thoughts on will's character and this storyline prior to all this spicy policing were! how did you view his growing up? was a sexuality storyline inevitable for you?

One thing I never fully understood is the general unease or being uncomfortable thinking about members of the party "growing up" and now viewing them in a different light, meaning getting involved in genuine teenage experiences like sex etc etc et al. I guess I just do find that frustrating sometimes when my view is: everyone grows up, we're there. Hit with: "but we saw them as kids! We watched them grow up! It's weird!" But WHY? I want people to explain why. Stupid analogy, but I think of how dumb it would be if my bf saw some home movie of me as a little kid and turned to me to say "well, unfortunately I can't fuck you anymore. Turns out, you were at one point - a child!" 😂 it sounds like that to me though!!!

Yeah we can still see our cute little babies s1 but we can also watch s5 and appreciate the journey, the coming of age. That's what's gonna make stranger things such a cool show, watching the actual journey from childhood to after (didnt Linklater film Boyhood over a decade to capture growing up in real time? Cool idea, never saw it). It's like any child star in the Hollywood industry. Miley was on Disney but then she started her adult career and were people initially odd about it having a pretty sexual angle? Yeah. Then everyone had to get over it. I acknowledge and understand the adjustment period, but it's frustrating in fandom for these boys that at large it's such a hang up. And, they're fictional. I know the irl actors portraying them plays into all this but... still.

(Then we got the M'leave-hers out here wanting Mike and El to get married and start having babies in s5 while we can't even talk about byler having a heated makeout or joke about Mike checking out Will's ass without pitchforks thrown our way. Booo)

As for what I thought for the shows trajectory, I did always hope we'd get an exploration of Will's sexuality as time went on. I really thought that was built into his character from the beginning (and it was and I was right) like it's one of the first things we learn about this little boy, with what Lonnie thought of him ☹️. I always wanted to see what they actually did with that and now it'll be a really, really incredible payoff if he does Get the Boy. I wasn't even really thinking too hard about byler back then but I can't even describe how heartbreaking that little moment when he tells Joyce "I'm not gonna fall in love" is in context, just... it always gets to me. S4 was a game changer and seeing what they were doing with Will and Mike? Hooked me. Decided to actually look into the fandom as something I wanted to engage w beyond just TV and the occasional pretty gifset or funny interview clip I came across on my dash or theories on reddit - shock and awe when eventually I saw how the vocal asshole fans acted. Debates and witch hunts over how far just a kissing scene can go? Sad.

Byler is great, byler is cute and palatable until you acknowledge that gay teenagers feel desire and maybe have sex, woah! People were even weird about aged up fic and art and everything! Still stumped to an extent about it. Our canon gay character (two, actually, just yet to be hmmm canonized lol) gets the sanitized treatment while Steve and Eddie and all their fanon post 7000 E rated fics w little complaint. (Finding out that was actually as popular as it is really shocked me?) I'd celebrate that and care about them more if the differences weren't so annoying. Just because of the age thing. Oh, get over it. Wish I'd taken a stand from the beginning and just did what I wanted without feeling awkward and going with the status quo. Lame. But maybe this is better, so much nicer having complete openness and a relative fresh start.

bi mike or gay mike truther and why

im a big gay mike believer and i have posts that go waaaay in depth about it and i cant find all of them rn but ill just do a quick list of why i think hes gay.

in s1 people keep planting the idea in mikes head that he likes el. mike didnt think of it on his own. lucas did, nancy did, i think even el did bc she leaned in to kiss him at one point in mikes basement bathroom and he didnt reciprocate at all

“its not my fault you dont like girls” is definitely mike projecting but he wouldnt say that if hes bi and actually does like girls

the closet framed kiss. i talk more about it here but to me this is huge proof that mike is gay. the closet is perfectly dividing a moment between mike and el. this tells me its the fact that hes in the closet thats disrupting him and el and if he were bisexual that wouldnt be the case bc he’d still like girls

the emphasis of mike looking at other guys besides will in s4. i dont think him having a little crush on eddie is a headcannon i think he genuinely admired that he was so confident in being a “freak” and not conforming to what everyone wants him to be and he really looked up to him. theres a reason mike was shown so much in that first lunch scene smiling at him. eddie and dustin have way more screen time together but they chose to focus on mikes reaction to his speech instead of dustin. also he grew his hair out bc of eddie thats like confirmed.

the way he gaslights el during their fight and just straight up lies and says “i say it” when she confronts him. i honestly think if mike was bi and just wasnt in love with her he wouldve ended their relationship earlier but bc he doesnt like girls at all, he thinks ending it basically confirms that he really is gay so hes holding onto this loveless relationship bc he doesnt wanna admit the truth to himself

so i got on tumblr because of byler during august. i started shipping byler during july.

i was kinda late to the stranger things party and i didnt actually watch it until may of 2022, but funny enough, it WASNT because of season 4 at all actually. my friend just really really wanted me to watch it because she thought id like it. she was riiiiiggghhthttttt.

yeah lmfao i didnt watch stranger things cause there was so much hype around season 4, i watched it because i wanted something gay to watch cause my heart stopper hyperfixation had just gone away and i still needed something gay to watch. i dm my friend saying "hey, do you have anything gay to watch because i need to watch something gay" and she gave me a list and was like "richie from IT is gay" and "will from stranger things is gay" and of course MY brain translated this to "mike is gay" because of notions from before hand i had about this little known to me character mike and also the fact that i knew that finn wolfhard played richie so i mistook will for mike because i was thinking the FCU and- yeah

so yeah i watched stranger things because a) my frined really wanted me to and b) the knowlege that mike was gay and thats what pushed me

and yeah i kept looking at theories on pinterest screen shotted from tumblr and yk byler was my everything (and still very much is) and i loved pinterest and spent all of my time on there and- 💀 i read- i read w- wh- wattpad fics 💀😟 BUT ITS OKAY because i actually found a pretty good collection of one shots on there but- nah man after one specific fic i found i had to call it quits cause i couldnt handle it anymore 💀💀💀💀

nope, sorry, but original bi mike anon is right. when they discuss suzie in s3, mike's 'disgusted' face is not repulsed at the concept of girls meaning he is gay lol. even if he was, that would be crazy rude and odd - if a friend was telling you that they have a partner of the gender you werent interested in, would you bother asking if they were cute if you didnt think they could be???

(and of course he didnt mean is she cute like a cat or a baby lmao that would make no sense in the context of romantic partners)

but mainly, mike's disgusted face is not one of disgust at all, but incredulity. incredulity, people! it's the same face he makes when el dumps him. it's literally 'no way!'

there is a chance this was all part of mike's heteronormative performance (and to me this is more likely, because i vibe with gay mike too), because why was he the one to ask that question, and in front of el too? you can see her grumpy face. he was performing, asserting masculinity and im-attracted-to-girls-ness in front of el and will and alllllll his friends.

but even so, that face is not disgust. it's disbelief. we see mike make that face a lot.

even if you were queer and dustin was talking about his new girlfriend, a gender you aren't attracted to, you're not going to be physically repulsed by the concept that your friend finds someone hot. thats almost as bad as homophobia but towards het relationships lol. mike is just like no way did dustin pull a hot girl and at science camp of all places. we know this cos it ties in with dustin's own arc that season, the conversations he has with steve about being true to yourself.

dont also forget that if mike is doing all this performing a role (which he is), then dustin's confidence in his taste in women and his genuine happiness in the relationship is what will make mike insecure, not the idea that girls are gross lol. many gay men find women beautiful, but in an artistic way rather than attracted way. i am straight but dont find women gross lol. and i dont think a tv show needs to stoop that low just to show mike is gay.

Will looked Mike in the face and used El as a means of projecting his own feelings and has lied about those own feelings to Mike for numerous seasons now.

Will had a very good reason to lie, and it was not harmful. Eleven had a very bad reason to lie, and it was harmful.

So Eleven feeling like her life was turned upside down and being bullied isn't a good reason to feel ashamed to tell people she cares about, including Will or Joyce, when she already is worried about her self esteem. Nope that's hypocritical. Will cannot hide in shame behind his self view and you blame Eleven for doing the same.

Eleven told Will about being bullied. She lied to Mike, and Will was aware of that, repeatedly reminding her that it was not the right thing to do—it hurt all three of them. Eleven continued on to use it to invalidate Mikes own experiences.

Her lie was ultimately negative and caused pain to multiple people. She had no reason to lie, because it was an experience unique to many people, and she knew that Mike would not think of her differently—nobody would.

Will told Jonathan (indirectly) about being gay. He lied to Mike, and Jonathan was aware of that, repeatedly reminding him that it is the right thing to do—it only hurt him. Will continued on to use it to give Mike and Elevens relationship the support it needed.

His lie was ultimately positive and caused pain to only himself. He had a reason to lie, because it was an experience unique to few people, and he knew that Mike would see him differently—everybody would.

You cannot compare a truth that would receive little to no judgement, to a truth that would receive a lot of judgement. Bullying and homosexuality are two different experiences. Will is risking his relationships and his well-being, while Eleven is not risking anything.

Elevens lie was selfish. Wills lie was selfless.

No she didnt tell Will. Will saw it happen and saw how Eleven kept being in obvious denial of what was occurring. She was in a depression after numerous things occurred in her life and viewed herself as too different to be accepted so she definitely did think and fear Mike was thinking differently of her, based on the word love being in the letters or not.

Youre making excuses to justify Wills lie. Saying it was selfless.

Both of their lies stemmed from the exact same thing, judgment of feeling different and like an outsider. The loopholes you jumped through to try to make Will into the good guy and El into a selfish liar is just sad.

It took you 16 days to write a response, and you still managed to not properly process what I am saying.

Selfish—the tendency to act excessively or solely in a manner that benefits oneself.

Selfless—the tendency to be concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with one's own.

The use of Wills painting and love is what made his lie selfless. He conveyed his emotions through the guise of Mikes girlfriend who he had been experiencing trouble with, though it hurt him an incredible amount.

He lied to protect his identity, which is selfish, but he only did that to bring comfort to his friend, which is selfless. He did not want to indirectly confess his feelings, but he saw that Mike needed that. Mike needed the reassurance that came with it, even if it was a lie.

El is the complete opposite. Nothing that she did made her lie selfless. She lied to protect her identity, like Will, but she did not do that to bring comfort to her boyfriend—she did it to bring comfort to herself. That is selfish. Mike did not need that.

Will is the good guy, and El is the bad guy. No character is perfect, and neither are they in this situation, but one is vastly better than the other. That is not a bad thing to recognize, Clemand.

I saw the FNAF movie awhile back and thought I'd put down some of my thoughts on it. Spoilers down below.

On one hand, I can kind of understand why if I was a critic who had no attachment, let alone knowledge of FNAF, that I might rate this film really low. Not only would it be a thing of, I guess no 'bias', but the flaws in the film would stand out way more to me… however, the thing is, as a person who is, on some level, familiar with FNAF, and has some attachment to it through at least the people who are close to me… yeah, I enjoyed this film a great deal, actually. Maybe it could be said to be bias– but I can tell there's far more heart in the making of this film than the 18321612893961328968123698123132th disney remake with a minor gay character.

I feel like I need need NEEEEEED to make special mention OF the design of this film in general? Like oh my god. Maybe I would have liked it to be a bit too authentic– how it was shot gave me some very… 'modern' vibes that for a moment I mistakenly thought it was more like the modern 2020s instead of… I think the late 90s/early 2000s? Otherwise, though, the cinematography of this film is so GOOD. Every scene is a delight and I never found myself bored– especially with how they designed the Pizzaria oh my goddddddd……. Not to mention THE ANIMATRONICS THE FACT THEY MADE ACTUAL ANIMATRONICS AND SUITS AND DIDNT USE CGI LIKE. THAT IN OF ITSELF IS A HUGE DELIGHT.

Also… okay, on one hand, the acting can sometimes be… a little hoaky. Like there were some parts where I thought that there could have been a second take. However, otherwise, most of it was really solid! I especially loved the actor for Michael– he did extremely well during the movie and carried it, along with William Afton just… I make a chef kiss motion. The second half of the movie was just fantastic– and on a rewatch I actually really appreciated how nervous he was when he read Mike's last name like, 'oh, shit, it's this kid'. In any case the acting wasn't terrible and was really fun at times.

Now, much like with the acting, I did think the writing could have… used another go around. It's not like god awful to me or anything but there's a lot of repetition, a lot of 'this information could have been stated in a more efficient way or you should have trusted that your audience got the point the first time around', and also a lot of… I think wasted screen time that could have been spent on stuff like the animatronics and Michael and Abby (love her so much). That being said: Oh My God Michael Fans Are Eating Well and So Am I. For a character that never had that much official depth to him they did a fantastic job with him.

Overall: I have to conclude that the movie… distinctly is made for a certain type of audience, obviously– for fans of FNAF, which isn't exactly a small audience. Saying 'I can understand why outside critics wouldn't like it' is like saying 'well I can see why someone who doesn't usually drink wine wouldn't like this one'-- like, yes, objectively, they can have their opinion… but it isn't made for them. Now, granted, people who do like FNAF can still have their opinion on it… but idk, there's so much stuff out there that is a more 'ideal, scary, and mature' take on this property (not derogatory) that like I can appreciate the film series– and it makes me excited for the sequel. I was even able to appreciate it even more on a second watch. Overall, I can give this film a solid 3/5.

Okay so like this season was really nice overall just like wonderfully made a produced it didn't feel rushed (except the random ass FOUR MONTH time skip at the end)

Mel's pregnancy arc came to a sad end that I didn't expect, but in hindsight I probably should have. There were some times where they would say things about the pregnancy and I would go 'the fuck I thought you were only telling your boss his wife and your sister about this, why are you telling this to these random extras we'll never see again??' Brie and Brady made me sad especially cause of the reason she broke up with him. Mike literally had the same secrets as him and she's still choosing to date him, which bugs the shit out of me. Also I still don't trust Mike, I get off vibes from him. Preacher is the man Bo Burnham was talking about in lower your expectations cause this man is everything. He's thoughtful strong attractive will hide a body for you can cook!! And he's dating a woman who lied about her relationship status and wanted to keep things casual even though she didn't say that at the beginning of their relationship. Also her ex is really possessive of her and she keeps telling Preacher "oh its fine, he's harmless" and then two seconds later the ex is like " she's always gonna choose her job over you, and guess what, I'm part of that job". Lizzie and Denny. God they're cute and all but he's in love with her and she loves him. Like they said that to each other with Lizzie specifically saying "love" rather than "in love". Also Dennys grandma was a biiiiiitch. Hated her. "I was doing it cause I loved you!" 'It' being lying about being in love with someone else cause I know you don't want a baby so I'm not gonna tell you I'm having a baby and never speak to you for 50 (30? I don't fucking know man) years. And then telling denny she wanted him to go back to college even though he wants to live the rest of his healthy life with someone he loves?? Bitch behavior. Going back to Mike quickly, whenever brie and Brady had a fight or argument, he would just swoop in and flirt with her, even though he knew she was dating brady, huge red flag to me. Him getting shot did nothing for me, it just gave Brady more trauma. And the fire, it got the BnB, lily's farm, Muriels house, but god forbid the bar burns down. Speaking of the fire, nick was a terrible mayor and jo Ellen shouldn't have told her husband about hopes fender bender. Hope may not be in tip top shape, but she was delegating better than nick could have dreamed. One thing i didnt really like, however, was Mel and Jack planning to buy the land of lily's farm and rebuilding said farm. Like I don't know why but it feels weird to me. I'm not even gonna touch on Cameron or Charmaine cause I am not ready to type out my rants on these two. All in all, amazing how in 5 months half of Virgin River burned down- paiges abusive husband held her hostage, died, got buried on the side of the road that's coming back to bite preacher in the ass- abusive husband's BROTHER came to Virgin river, held Paige hotage, got arrested- Jack got shot by the brother- brie came to town and had a miscarriage- Lilly (a forty ish year old woman) gave birth then died of breast cancer- Hope got into a car accident so bad she was missing for almost an entire season- Mel got pregnant and then also had a miscarriage- Tara's sister Ava came to town and revealed she had mentioned-once-disease-that-i-cant-rememeber-the-name-of AND that she is one of now two lesbians in the show- Charmaine got dumped, pregnant, engaged, was forced to give away her dog, had a high risk/high maintenance pregnacy, then BAM we barely ever saw her or heard about her pregnancy for the entire latest season also Calvin is her baby daddy?? You know what I'm just gonna stop- Jack's cabin was set on fire- hope and doc went from on the verge of divorce to happily married and probably some other things I missed.

Also the only gay people in this are Ava, Hannah (who I'm pretty sure didn't have a name until season 2), and two extras named Johnny and Adrian.

you know whats funny to me? people think that el is the main protagonist of stranger things bc shes the one with powers and that can stop the monsters from the upside down.

but for me is like not that at all. for me the real protagonis always was will byers. everything started bc of him. sure, el opened the portals two times, but thats all that she did. she opened the portals for the monsters (and that wasnt her fault at all.) but everything else that happened it was a consequence of will’s disappearance. el wouldnt have meet the party if it them went out looking for will. she would be probably capture eventually and went back to the lab.

the main clue for me its that how the fuck a twelve years old kid escaped and survived for a week on that toxic environment, and everyone else was killed right after they got there? 

for me, will always had powers but they manifested when he was in the upside down. i mean how did he communicated with joyce if the UD was stuck in time on the exact day that he went missing? the thing with the lights if i remember correctly was one or two days after he went to the UD. and why didnt the demogorgon attack and killed him right after they went to the UD? why it saw him biking and went for him when he wasnt even bleeding?

and then in season 2 when will was possessed by the mindflayer he said that the mindflayer didnt want him, but everyone else. i doesnt make sense if u want to use someone someone to get to others and let only him alive. most villans use and then get rid of the person they use. 

for me will byers was specifically targeted from the beginning bc he always had powers and for some reason the mindflayer wants him. its like what dustin said about vecna and the mindflayer.

I think the S2 break up is entirely necessary for the characters to grow and their development arc. S5 comes out of left field within the context of the entire show.
