more people on here need to read Leech by Hiron Ennes. what if you were stuck in the plot of The Thing while hiding the fact that not only are you the outstretched hand of an authoritarian institution but also a Thing yourself. what if you were experiencing the trauma of not only being forcibly and non-consensually assigned a gender but also the horror of your body rebelling against that imposed stricture without your say or intervention. what if you were both the host and the parasite and the only way you had left to survive was to perpetuate the very violation that was inflicted on you. what if there were ghosts there.

This is the skull of Lavinia Fisher. She is thought to be the first serial killer in America, and no verifiable image of her face exists- yet. I've asked a forensic artist to reconstruct her visage from her skull, but I'm interested in seeing what others can come up with too! man the last couple episodes of in blossom sucked for various reasons but more than anything i'm just so mad they didn't put yang caiwei back in her original body. it really felt like they'd been hinting at that in the first half of the drama

for starters her original body is perfectly preserved in a magic ice coffin, it's good to go any time, you just need to track down a suitable witch to help!!

and also early on there was A Whole Thing about pan yue falling for yang caiwei despite her not being the ""beauty ideal"". She was then immediately put in the body of someone who was considered the ""height of beauty"". If she doesn't get put back in her original body it undoes absolutely everything they were trying to say.

i'm just real disappointed tbh because this drama started off so strong and i really cared about yang caiwei and pan yue
