so…Ozzy Osbourne died a few days ago. I made a short post about it but I’d really love to talk about the fact that he changed my life. Without Ozzy, this account wouldn’t be here. A few years ago I was super into him and I was on an app that was called fashion fantasy. Now, me being…13? I wanna say this was during Covid or a little before so I was either 12 or 13, I found out about the community tab.

Well I wasn’t allowed to have instagram…or TikTok…or Snapchat I wasn’t even allowed to have safari. 13 year old me thought she struck a gold mine with this community. Most posts were from people my age or a little older or younger, but most of them were from Asian countries. To this day I don’t really know or why, I’m guessing that’s where the game came out of (there were like a TON of Indonesian and Filipino posts so I’m guessing it was from one of those countries) and most posts about music were about kpop or something relatable. I was obviously very very edgy and thought it was cool to hate kpop.

I began making my own music posts which were mostly about Ozzy, or Nirvana, or GnR which were my favorite bands. One day I noticed that someone made a post about another rock band, motley crue. Now I hated and still hate motley crue but this person had other posts about Motley Crue and I noticed that she was hosting a children of rockstars rp. I messaged her and introduced myself and she introduced herself to me as Tori. She had other Raps and I hate RPing so i fell out of love with it but we became friends immediately. She was older than me, I think she was already in high school? Anyways in my eyes she was literally the coolest person in the world. Ozzy was our favorite artist to talk about. A year prior I’d met my other best friend… Gym class and I saw her Metallica shirt and she saw my Ozzy shirt and we were instant best friends and now we’re going to college together. It’s honestly insane how life works out.

Tori passed away last year and I’d like to think she’s FREAKING THE FUCK OUT over Ozzy rn. Thank you ozzy for the years of driving around in my dads beat up Chevy blasting black sabbath, for middle school when I had no friends and you gave me my best friends, thank you for the best music, ROCK THAT SHIT IN HEAVEN OZZ

For fuck's sake. I might be old-fashioned, but I always thought that we don't get to assign "narratives" when it comes to real people's sexual preferences. They're real people, not characters. If they say they're straight, we accept them as straight, if they say they're gay, we accept them as gay, if they don't comment at all on this topic, we don't assign them our prefered sexual orientation, we just go about our day. It's easy.

You don't get to fight for or against a "narrative" about other people's sexual orientation. It's not a story, it's their life, their choice.

You're not a warrior for gay rights if you keep insisting that a real life man married to a real life woman for many years, is in fact gay and is suffering under said woman's homophobic iron fist pushing him into the closet, and only you and your friends know the real truth. This is a rather typical case of fandom delusion, not some heroic fight for gay rights.

I swear, some people genuinely can't see the difference between a story and real life, all this talk of "narratives". I think they ship sheenant, but you seem to divide that fandom into two: those who do rpf that are valid for you, and those who aren't.

Hey. It's funny how tinhatters tell you you're shitty because you tell them that slandering real people just because they're partners of two men they ship, is wrong, but they have no problem with bulling people in their own community. I ship Sheenant, but you know, not in a oh my god they're actually together, fuck thier spouses kind of way, but more like haha they're so cute together, let's read FICTIONAL stories about their FICTIONAL relationship way. A few months ago, I came across comments on fanfic where two tinhats were literally tormenting Georgia and Anna in the most disgusting way. I pointed out to them that, "Hey, can you please stop talking about real people like that, no matter who they are? It's incredibly unpleasant and generally creates a terribly toxic atmosphere in the fandom?" Especially since these women aren't even terrible. And holy shit, the hate I received is beyond words. It started with just an argument with these two users and suddenly a whole bunch of tinhatters attacked me. So yeah, I wonder who's really making it so impossible to say anything in this fandom.

I wish I could show you these comments, but I think I've been blocked by the author of this fic.
