I don't know when everyone somehow collectively forgot the actual definition of queerbaiting but like... yall know queerbaiting was never about REAL PEOPLE'S actual identities right? It's about the MEDIA they put out.
Queerbaiting is when media hints that there will be queer rep to lure in a queer audience with no intention of ever delivering on that rep.
Queerbaiting is NOT when a celebrity experiments with gender or sexuality without coming out. They are allowed to explore!
Queerbaiting is NOT when an author writes a queer book without explicitly stating they share the same sexual or gender identity!
Queer media is NOT queerbaiting just because you don't know the creator's sexuality or assigned gender at birth!
Is the media explicitly queer? Then it's not queerbaiting! Simple as that! No one owes you an explanation of their own identity, full stop.

libs are so damn annoying, if you have to choose one guy to “protect democracy”, your democracy is fucking dead. “If there is an election where you are forced to pick between two evils, then it’s your duty to pick the lesser evil” if there’s an election where you are forced to pick between two evils, then it’s your duty to rid of the system that’s producing them in the first place

literally where can the zelda franchise go after totk. this is it. we've reached it. the pinnacle of video game entertainment. the whole dev team should just pack their stuff and enjoy a long and comfortable retirement. whoever decides their team has to follow-up on that with the next zelda game should answer for their crimes at the hague. what the fuck. I haven't even beat the game yet but what the fuck.
and how are AAA video game devs everywhere not losing their minds. how the hell did nintendo do any of that? and on that console?? you mean to tell me I can stack 15 differently shaped objects on top of each other and they don't vibrate violently into the skybox?? you mean to tell me the physics engine gladly accepts whatever I throw at it and holds it all together without dropping a frame while running on a machine that was outclassed two generations ago??? this is not witchcraft it's a grandiose demonstration of mastery over every aspect of game development that casts an immense shadow over every other AAA studio. fuck. fuck!!!!
everything about this game is crazy to me. the visuals are crazy. the soudtrack is crazy. the complexity of all systems and how they interact is crazy. the sheer amount of non-repeating content, NPCs, quests, dialogue, puzzles, environment variety - all crazy to me. every time I boot up this game I am humbled by the monumental effort and obvious love that went into every facet of the resulting experience. no cut corners anywhere. mirror-perfect chrome polish.
it's so rare we get something like that, in any field. I'd understand if nintendo never made a zelda game ever again because how do you follow that. god I hope everyone who worked on this game got the fattest check and the sloppiest head. I'm so happy I get to live in shigeru miyamoto's world

Lolol sometimes it’s so funny reading peoples posts about “Mormon” theology that is based on Exmo stories, tradition/culture but not doctrine, and like random statements by some church leader 200 years ago that was not put into doctrine/canonized, or that he was corrected/reprimanded on, and all of us look back on like “well that guy was racist/sexist. Anyways moving on…” like tbh it just makes me laugh. Like I know our theology is a bit different than mainstream Christianity but y’all don’t need to make it sound like we are out here truly believing half the stuff you say about us.

i hate it when people call me their friend or think that we’re friends after two seconds; even people that call me “bestie” ironically make me sick. on top of this, when i ask them to stop, everyone thinks i’m the asshole for being uncomfortable
here’s a reminder: friendship is just like any other relationship, and as such requires consent. don’t call strangers “bestie.” don’t call strangers your “friend.” it’s the same as someone you just met calling you their “boy/girlfriend” or “husband/wife.” it makes me feel sick, makes me feel like my consent doesn’t matter (because to you it doesn’t since friendship is the “lesser than” relationship), and i’d very much like you to dismantle your platonormativity and amatonormativity

Alright, that's enough. I need everyone to be normal about Tonkla right the fuck now.
The takes I've seen about that man have made me lose my mind, to the point where I'm wondering if I've been watching the same show as everyone else. From him spreading diseases to his partners to him faking his grief and doing everything he does for attention, I've been quite perplexed while exploring the show's tags on here and on Twitter to say the least.
Guys. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Tonkla is NOT a difficult character to understand. Korn is arguably more of an inscrutable character than him.
Tonkla has been grieving since we first met him; at first his relationship with Korn that's changed to the point of no return and later his brother who got murdered.
That's it. I don't know why we're demonizing a man who 1) likes having sex and 2) is using sex to get the affection - affection, not attention - he seeks from the man whom he loves and from the man who loves him but Tonkla doesn't.
(I know why and I'll rant in the tags about it 🙂)
And while we're on the subject, I need everyone to be normal about Fuaiz, too, because the takes about his taking this role are even worse. People calling what BOC did by casting him grooming, calling the fans groomers and pedophiles, and so on and so forth.
Are you serious? Are you for real?
Fuaiz played White in DFF who was crying and being in distress 90% of the time, a show which included a scene where he pretended to get stabbed and where he got shaken by Jjay who was screaming to his face. I watched the BTS clip of that - the kid needed a moment to calm down from that experience.
Do you care about that in the same way or is it only a problem when he's pretending to get fucked on screen in a secluded, safe environment with a fucking Intimacy Director involved?
I can totally understand feeling uncomfortable about his age or about the age gap between him and Bas. I'm not judging anyone for that. But there's a difference between feeling discomfort and turning that discomfort into a morality issue. Please stop doing that.

someday when you're in college you may be registering for classes and see a 'TBD' next to the professor category on a class you're required to take. and you will hear a little voice in your head saying 'just take the class anyway, it can't be that bad. surely the school i'm putting myself in debt to go to wouldn't hire someone who doesn't know how to teach.' that voice is the devil. do not listen

thinking about crowley and "my lover's got humor, she's the giggle at a funeral" and "knows everybody's disapproval, i should have worshipped her sooner" and "if the heavens ever did speak then she's the last true mouth piece" and "the only heaven i'll be sent to is when i'm alone with you" and "my lover's the sunlight" and "i was born sick but i love it" and "there is no sweeter innocence then our gentle sin"

what i will always, alwaysss hate about the crowfeather discourse is how it got several people, even some people who i thought would know better than to spread such harmful rhetoric, to get up on their soapbox and say with their whole chest "child neglect is not abusive, breezepelt should get the fuck over it"

all i’m gonna say on the whole thing is yes ai art is not great and they did in fact fuck up but:
1) people are in fact human, including people in bands, and they will disappoint you. get more comfortable with that because it is fact and it will happen again because humans fuck up. this time it was because of misinformation or a lack of research and there was no malicious intent at all. anthony did more research and his views shifted and he recognized their mistake.
2) if you tell someone to kill themselves over something like this you are genuinely fucked up, especially when that person (anthony) has struggled with suicidal tendencies before. jesus christ.
in conclusion: have some fucking nuance. just a little.

Biggest red flag is when people start calling people in their life (who are not actually diagnosed, ofc) narcissists. "Oh yeah my mom is a narcissist, my dad is a narcissist too, my boss is totally a narcissist, oh your ex boyfriend sounds like he's a narcissist" yeah you are getting the fucking boot sorry. If your response to people acting badly is to decide that there is a category of Evil Mentally Ill Freaks and another category of Humans Deserving Respect and to just arbitrarily sort people into one or the other category based on your own whims or a reddit post you read, I think you need a lesson in humility and human decency. And a lesson in being less of a heartless piece of shit to real actual people with personality disorders

The way homeless people are treated is INSANE.
I'm sitting inside a building. There's two other guys here.
A security dude comes over and tells the two guys to get out while he ignores me. He clearly saw me. But because i "don't look homeless" I can stay.
What the fuck. It's cold outside, it's raining, why the fuck can't they sit here. Literally there's almost no people here what is your ISSUE.
