Young people have no clue how to fandom. On instagram I said "would be funny if..." just theorizing about a character of an ongoing show, weeks before it was revealed that that character was something else. It was not an absolute. I didn't say "this character 100% is this or that". And people keep replying to me "aCtUaLlY they are blablabla"

Have young people forgotten that absolutes are not necessary in fandom? That it destroys theorizing if all you see is canon? Where is the fun if you can't make an assumption anymore while the show is getting released? Why is it so important to be right all the fucking time?? These aren't the news, it's fiction. Fiction can be wrong.

It's so tiring to see how these people make it less and less fun in fandom. Like, girl, have you never played barbies? Was your Ken never pregnant? He physically can't get pregnant and neither him nor Barbie will look pregnant (unless you use the Barbie with the special stomach) and it's all pretend and in your imagination. It's not real.

And a headcanon isn't real either, it's not canon. That's why it's called headcanon ffs. Why do they take the fun out of everything? They don't share what they love, they don't tell a creator what they love, they don't make up theories about the original material, they don't even want to write fanfics of their own. All they do is consume and tell people what they do wrong when they see someone actually doing fandom stuff.

the vitriol this whole thing has caused (or elevated since it was already bad) is so so so scary i’m gonna be honest. dream having threats on his life again and his family stalked is horrific. and nothing was said from the other side to try and stop it, or at least mitigate it. we also know a member of the fan community also had a threat against their life because of this, and the police got involved and the person who threatened them is now going to be charged. its absolutely fucking shambolic. i’m so so sad and angry that people can resort to such evilness over MINECRAFT.

guys, i barely just opened tumblr like twenty minutes ago, and literal p0rn is on my page. im not sure what content i had interacted with to get these images on my feed, but they are disgusting and inhumane. most of the pictures popping up are of women at the beach from far angles, most likely images taken and posted without these peoples consent or knowledge. some of them are fucking children. please be careful on your fyp, and im not usually one to say this, but please report any of these posts you stumble across, especially the photos with minors! tumblr is not the place to be posting such explicit pictures, especially without consent and of minors.
