The battle in the basement of the apartment building, where we see Nam-san use a shotgun to blast his way through some of the doctor’s ‘enhanced’ individuals, is a total exhilarating blast. Ma Dong-seok has been a powerhouse for most of his career post Train to Busan, but he sends people flying whenever he throws his fist or pulls the trigger. _Badland Hunters_ also has to break a record for most decapitations in a film. **Full review:** https://bit.ly/bdlndhntr MovieGuys: Badland Hunters does something things well, others just passably. Action is wall to wall and well choreographed.Special effects are excellent. Characterisations are solid if predictable and the acting is not to be sniffed at. However, the story is unremarkable, with a climax that feels, well, anti climatic. In summary, an okay but hardly exceptional watch, that would have benefited from more creativity on the storytelling front. Ritesh Mohapatra: “Badland Hunters: A Visually Striking Action Spectacle with Narrative Shortcomings” In this post-apocalyptic action thriller, Badland Hunters, while suffering from a repetitive and clichéd plot and uninteresting characters, excels in stunning hand-to-hand choreography and scintillating action set pieces. The film benefits greatly from the expertise of its veteran stunt coordinator turned director, known for his work on Train to Busan. Commendable world-building, visionary concepts, and excellent VFX are hindered by conventional writing. The short, crisply edited runtime avoids unnecessary elements. Don Lee’s exceptional portrayal of Nam-san, with exhilarating action sequences, overshadows the film’s narrative weaknesses, making it a guiltily satisfying popcorn-worthy entertainer, particularly for adrenaline enthusiasts. Player substitution, old strategies key to DRX’s playoffs berth at VCT Masters Tokyo
Even though it was close, Korea's DRX has once more advanced past the group stage at a competition on the international VALORANT Champions Tour. In order to advance to the playoffs at Masters Tokyo, DRX had to defeat FUT Esports on June 13 after losing to Evil Geniuses and descending to the bottom bracket. The team has been struggling to integrate a new young player into their roster all season and has received heavy criticism for switching him in and out at some of the team’s most important moments. Today, the team opted to play the entire elimination match with their tried-and-true experienced roster. Instead of Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung, the team chose to start Kim “Zest” Gi-seok. In addition, they returned to some of their signature compositions on their best maps to close the series out 2-1 and send FUT Esports home from Tokyo. Normally, one of DRX’s strengths lies in their team play which benefits from the expertise of their controller and sentinel players. But Kim “MaKo” Myeong-kwan, largely considered one of the best controller players in the world, had one of his worst performances in months on today’s first map. He was struggling to get kills, and struggling to work together with Zest, who was playing Brimstone, on the team’s double-controller setup. On the other side, FUT’s Konur “qw1” Şahin was demolishing everything and everyone in his path on Raze. DRX has struggled to yield a solid duelist player all season, and Byung-chul “BuZz” Yu’s Raze performance just couldn’t stand up to the numbers qw1 was putting up. https://twitter.com/ValorantEsports/status/1668827154111668224 Though DRX began to mount a slight comeback on their defensive side, FUT is known as one of the most momentum-based teams in the entire VCT, and they wouldn’t let the map get away from them. FUT won Bind 13-9, and DRX looked finished. There was hope for the Korean team, however, as they reverted to their original agent composition on Fracture which has continued to net them wins both in Pacific League and internationally. The composition features DRX’s flex player Goo “Rb” Sang-min on Neon. Today’s casters even mentioned that Rb might be one of the best Neon players in the world at this point, even though the only time he plays duelist is on Fracture. Just two days before, DRX lost to EG with a different Fracture composition that attempted to utilize Foxy9, who doesn’t play Neon. They looked awful on that map, leaving a bitter taste in the mouth of DRX fans who had memories of Rb’s flashy Neon weighing on their minds. Qw1 again performed well, but certainly didn’t put up the same destructive numbers as he had on Bind. FUT only managed two rounds in the second half of Fracture and lost the map 13-8. All tied up, the two teams made their way onto Haven. This map is known historically as one of DRX’s very best, though they only have a 50 percent win rate on it in the Pacific League this season. Unsurprisingly, most of their losses on the map came when they had Foxy9 in the lineup playing Jett. Haven was a show of classic DRX, with BuzZ on Jett, Zest on Sova, and MaKo on Omen. Their familiar strategies made the map look effortless, and FUT only managed one round in the first half. The map was virtually unsalvageable by halftime, especially for the momentum-based squad. https://twitter.com/ValorantEsports/status/1668854097548570625 FUT eventually fell 13-4 on Haven, losing 1-2 to DRX, and are thus eliminated from the tournament at the behest of the Korean squad. With this result, DRX move on from the group stage, but it was a close call. The team still has a lot of thinking to do if they want to accomplish their long-awaited goal of bringing home a VCT trophy. As for FUT, their Tokyo campaign is over, but they secured their spot at VCT Champions Los Angeles later this year after their EMEA counterparts NAVI were eliminated yesterday. They now have time to rest and recuperate before hopefully emerging with a strong showing in August. Read the full article

First episode 'Yusepung 2' Kim Min-jae ♥ Kim Hyang-gi reunion.
Kang Myeong-seok appeared in 'Yusepung 2' actors Kim Min-jae and Kim Hyang-gi reunited.
In the tvN Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se-pung 2' (hereinafter referred to as 'Yoo Se-pung 2'), which aired on the 11th, Seo Eun-woo (Kim Hyang-gi) returned to Hanyang and met Yoo Se-pung (Kim Min-jae) again.
Yoo Se-pung received a letter from Seo Eun-woo. Seo Eun-woo warmed Yoo Se-pung's heart with the message, "I read the letter he sent. I'm busy and doing well. I found something I can do. I fell in love with medicinal herbs." He said he would come in a fortnight.
However, less than 15 days later, Seo Eun-woo arrived. Seo Eun-woo saved a passer-by and revealed his still skills. Seo Eun-woo, who arrived earlier than Yoo Se-pung, who was not at the clinic to treat the palace plague, looked around the clinic slowly.
Afterwards, Yoo Se-pung, who returned to the hospital, was lying down and looking at the autumn leaves. At that time, Seo Eun-woo arrived. Yoo Se-pung thought it was an illusion, saying "cherry blossoms are so vivid", and is surprised to realize that Eun-woo Seo has arrived. He said, "Eunwoo-nim. No, it's not 15 days. How can this be? Isn't this a dream?" He said, "I wanted to confirm that Eunwoo-nim was seen as an empty thing for so long. Are you really in front of me?"
Seo Eun-woo hugged Yoo Se-pung, saying, "I missed you a lot too." The two try to kiss each other, but are startled and embarrassed by the other's call.
The two of them went to the waterside because they had time to be alone. Yoo Se-pung said, "It's so beautiful," and confessed, "I've always kept it. Just as Eun-woo always had my heart. I've waited for a year to do what I want to do because of Your Majesty's edict." When Seo Eun-woo asked, "Is the situation still bad enough that you still have to stay by your Highness?" Yoo Se-pung replied bitterly, "That's right."
While explaining the situation inside the palace, Yoo Se-pung and Seo Eun-woo entered the palace. At that time, Lee Seo-i (played by Woo Dabi), who was surprised to hear that he had seen a ghost, hugged Yoo Se-pung. At this time, Seo Eun-woo, who showed a confused appearance, hurriedly ran to the direction where the ghost had gone. Yoo Se-pung also followed Seo Eun-woo over Lee Seo-yi.
Seo Eun-woo hurriedly ran into Jeon Kang-il (Kang Myung-seok). Yoo Se-pung, who noticed the strange atmosphere, moved Seo Eun-woo behind him and responded sharply, saying, "What are you doing?" In response, Jeon Kang-il confronted him, saying, "I think you are doing rudeness."

Hello! I was wondering about two things, and I was hoping you could answer them for me. 1: Do you know of any whumpable actors? Like, there are just some actors who are whumped in absolutely everything they are in. And also 2: do you know of any series where one character gets whumped a lot (preferably physical whump) and it’s just constant if something bad is gonna happen it’s gonna happen to this person? Thanks, I really appreciate it!
Hello!!!
1. Yes I do! I can mostly think of Korean actors tbh so if anyone has any others please do feel free to reply as well! Lee Jong Suk, Lee Joon Gi, Lee Joon Ho, (lowkey seeing a pattern here lol), Park Bo Gum, Ji Chang Wook used to (idk about now), Yoo Seung Ho, L (Kim Myeong Soo), Lee Min Ho, Woo Do Hwan, Ok Taecyeon, Park Jin Young (of GOT7 not J*PE —- those are all off of the top of my head very whumpable and very frequently whumped!
2. Constant whump dramas??? Heeeeeell yeah! (If I have a list for it, I’ll link my list and it’ll be colored text)
FUUJINSHI
Daredevil
The Untamed
Duel
Just Between Lovers
L.U.C.A.
Memories of the Alhambra
Sand Sea
Legend of Fei
These are just a few but if you’re looking for more I highly suggest looking through my Whump List Library for the purple {x}. Those mean they’re my favorites which means there’s constant whump!
Please do let me know if you need anything else! I’ll do my best always! Thank you so much for your ask!!! 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

Full Name: Ah Sun-Il (아선일)
Species: Human
Age: 16~18
Affiliation: Demon Slayers
Birthplace: Jeollanamdo Ik-San
Family: Ah Gang-Ho (adoptive grandfather), Gan-Ak (foster brother)
Ever since his birth, Sun-Il doesn’t know much about his biological family, because his parents died when he was still a baby. However, he was found and adopted by Ah Gang-Ho who was a former Myeong-Ju of Demon Slayer. Because of his overly fragile personality, he was always nagged by Gan-Ak. Since no one has ever held hope to him before, he was scared to disappoint others.
One day, when on top of the tree, he was hit by a thunderbolt, causing his hair to be blond and suffered a spiritual disease, becoming a male shaman (박수무당). The only thing he has managed to perform his ability is “The Breath of Thunder, 1st Shape”. When entered the Demon Slayer organization, many looked down on him because he was a shaman. But, Gi-Cheol defended him as he noted how shamans are as important as slayers because they also help innocents from harmful demons. Sun-Il and Gi-Cheol become close friends and trusts his first friend. To the point he never questioned the existence of demon inside the box, who was Aeng-Du. It is because he wants to believe him. When seeing Aeng-Du for the first time, he immediately developed romantic feelings for her. Although Gi-Cheol said feeding her too much candies aren’t good, Sun-Il has a tendency to spoil her often. Every time he has to perform the exorcism rite, he becomes a completely different person and successfully confront, chase away the demons before they could possess victims’ body.

My Holo Love
A lonely woman with face blindness that has isolated herself from others and finds the perfect companion from an AI, modeled after the his genius creator.
The cast
Ko Sung-hee as So Yeon
Yoon Hyun-min as Go Nan do and Holo
Choi Yeo-jin as Go Yoo-jin
Hwan Chan-sung as Baek Chan-sung
There is also:
Jung Yeon-joo as Ji-Na
Lee Jung-eun as So Yeon's mother
Nam Myeong-ryeol as Baek Nam-jyu
Son Jong-hak as Nam Gi-oh
For characters I give it a 10/10.
I found it great to see two different sides of the main character Nan do and Holo. I also loved So Yeon!! All the characters gave something special to the story and I really appreciated it. I also loved Holo! Who wouldn't love Holo?!
For the music I give it 9/10
It had sentimental songs and uplifting songs and feel-good.
To the story I give it a 10/10
I appreciate that the story line was something new and creative. They gave So Yeon prosopagnosia (face blidness) something I just learned while watching this series. The relationship between Holo and So Yeon was really cute and sweet. When she meets with Nan Do its something different from Holo; the story makes you want to root for Nan Do too. He had a tough past and you could see his brokenness throughout the series. They also have a love triangule. I am happy that they gave the characters a happy ending. Specially to Chan-sung since his father treated him so bad.
It was overall a heartwarming series!
Fun facts!
The idea for “My Holo Love” came about during a conversation between director Lee and writer Ryu after watching the movie “Her”, which revolves around an AI’s ability to learn and adapt. Months later, Ryu created a unique story about a hologram called Holo.
Holo is derived from hologram. Plus, “holo” also sounds similar to “alone” in Korean. In this setting, one can only see Holo wearing special glasses. Think of him like a special friend who only watches and listens to the user.
In his first ever dual role, Yoon plays AI-powered Holo and his genius developer Nan-do – they are identical in appearance but have different personalities. To differentiate the two, the 34-year-old actor would modulated his speech speed and style, body movement patterns, and even his physical reactions to express a variation of nuances. While Holo is “very kind, caring, and warmhearted”, Nan-do is “a sharp and cold person who isolates himself” from everyone else.

🌹,😑,💘 and 💣
Ship that you have as an OTP 🌹 - One OTP? No, I do not roll that way. Have a few.
- Dong Ha x Ji Yeon (Witch’s Romance)
- Man Weol x Chan Seong (Hotel Del Luna)
- Cindy x Happiness (and Seung Chan if he brings her aforementioned happiness) (The Producers)
- Dong Gu x Yoon Ah, Du Shik x Soo Ah, bb Sol x Happiness (Laughter in Waikiki) but also the 6 of them being friends thats my OTP as well. Or OT6 +bb.
- Yul x Ha Kyung (Chief Kim)
- Ship that you’re indifferent to 😑 - I liked Shim Cheong and Dam Ryeong (The Legend of The Blue Sea) when they were all historical and mermaid-y. I couldn't care less about them in the modern era tho. I mean, they were cute but like oats also is nice when you are hungry no?
- The second pair from HDL, the ghost bellboy and the schoolgirl intern. Once again, individually, okay only but together, the human equivalent of a yawn.
Ship that is unpopular but you still like: 💘-
In terms of actual canon ships, I really like:
Ok Da Jung and Nam Jung Gi from Ms Temper and Nam Jung Gi - They had a very nice mutual respect thing going on and Jung Gi really grew a spine after coming into contact with Da Jung and doing some much needed growing up and idk, standing up for himself. This is not a drama I see recommended often, or even mentioned at all but I do really like it and like them. Also Woo Joo x Da Jung’s admiration and approval tbh. They were so fucking cute.
Ship that pisses you off: 💣 -
- Cracks knuckles. It would def have to be Man Weol x Chung Myeong. The rage it makes me feel. ofc I am not angry at people who ship it cos you know, it is what it is, but omg, the fact that it got so much storyline and contributed to Man Weol’s suffering and was supposed to be something I was supposed to sympathize with? NO THANK YOU.
- Gang Tae x Mun Yeong - any affection I felt for them was cos the actors did a good job but omg the thought of them gives me hives, even more in hindsight. It’s not like ppl dont deserve love and being happy but those two deserved some serious therapy and healing before they could even the beautiful relationship the drama wanted to showcase them as.

Lovers of the Red Sky Review (a little belated)
So a few weeks ago now I finished watching Lovers of the Red Sky. It was pretty good.
(Review below contains some spoilers.)
Some Things I Really Loved About Lovers of the Red Sky:
The two main characters! Definitely my favorite thing about the show <3. I love Hong Cheon-gi. She's such a fun character. She's a mix of career ambitions and concern for others and not incredible professional ethic (I love a forger haha, tho Prince Yang-myeong is right that there's something shallow about forgery). She has so much painting talent; watching her paint and listening to her talk about painting is one of my favorite parts of the show. She cares tremendously about her father and Ha Ram and her friends. And at the same time, she's not too serious. She can be sassy, get panicked over doing something awkward or improper, get a little dreamy-eyed over seeing her crush. She just feels very three-dimensional and very alive. I love her.
Ha Ram I had more mixed feelings about. Mostly I really like him. He gets whumped a lot, which is always a point in someone's favor for me. He has a secret identity. He can fight well, and he's calm and collected except when he's really really not. And he's a love interest who isn't too tsundere about having a crush (I've gotten tired of dramas with a lot of bickering lols) even though he has reasons that having a relationship right now would be inconvenient. Also, a desire for revenge! Always fun.
The other thing I really like about this show is its aesthetics. The paintings are all beautiful and showcase different styles and interpretations of themes, both the paintings by Hong Cheon-gi and those by other painters. And aside from that, it's a pretty show in other ways too. People's costumes generally suit them, Cheon-gi and Ha Ram always look good together, and there are some nice lingering shots of starry skies. It's a pretty pretty show <3
Things I Did Not So Much Love About Lovers of the Red Sky:
I guess the thing that frustrated me the most was the ending of Ha Ram's arc. When a guy wants revenge--when it's his character's driving motivation--I want to see him either get that revenge or go through a process of letting go of that desire. But Ha Ram barely does anything to get revenge; some actions he takes towards it are kind of ambiguous to me (sure, Ha Ram, you totally predicted that having the truth of the Crown Prince's illness would send the king into a coma. sure.) and others I'm not sure what he's going for (if he was trying to ruin that first sealing ritual he was part of, I don't see how--he spent most of it possessed and didn't really accomplish anything). And then when he decides to let it go, it's because it turns out the thing he was trying to avenge... actually just never happened? and NO ONE explained this to him at any point even though at least one person (cough the king cough) KNEW he was obsessed with revenge (I think? the ending was kind of confusing that way). It's so anticlimactic and boring. I WANTED TO SEE HIM MURDER SOME ROYALS. Well, at least he killed one subordinate... but apparently he wasn't entirely justified in that anyway? Oh well?
I also think the two princes could have been better developed. I wanted to see more of their relationship to each other, to their father. I wanted Prince Ju-hyang in particular to be more complex of a villain; it's not like he doesn't have reasons for what he's doing, but the show kind of handwaves this with "well, he was evil all along anyway tho, he should have just been FINE WITH DYING OF SLOW SPIRITUAL ROT" wtf. Didn't really dislike either prince, tho--I know some ppl get frustrated with Prince Yang-myeong but eh, if we're going to have a love triangle I'd as soon have the second male lead NOT be the one I'm rooting for anyway, and he was at least interesting in his dynamic with Ha Ram. (And his crush on Hong Cheon-gi--honestly, relatable.)
Finally, the depiction of Ha Ram's blindness is so inconsistent. The way he fights seems kind of unrealistic for a blind man, for one thing, and he often seems to be making eye contact with ppl or looking at things. Also, the whole point of his blindness is that MAWANG isn't supposed to be able to see--but it always seems like Mawang can, when he possesses him? What the fuck was the point of giving Cheon-gi his eyes, then? Just for the drama of it all?
Overall
Despite my complaints, I really enjoyed this show! The romance is cute and fun, the political intrigue is... not awful, and the paintings are lovely. Would recommend to ppl who like female leads who are fun, driven and a little bit tricksy, and male leads who are calm and collected and get whumped a lot.

Re-Watch Episode 1: Descendants of the Sun
I wanted to do a re-watch of some of my favorite k-dramas, to see if I have a change of heart.
Today’s episode is the popular 2015 Descendants of the sun, starring Song Joong Ki, Song He Kyo, Jin Goo and Kim Ji Won.
Let’s Go~
The opening was really good, it shows the Alpha team in action and looking sexy in their uniforms.
I really love the chemistry between Joong Ki and Jin Goo, they made this drama what it was. They were funny and adorable together. Their scenes are gold!
I noticed that at the hospital, the nurse received Seo Dae Young’s phone and it rings, she then says (maybe it was incorrectly translated) “I’m calling from Haesung Emergency Hospital”, but she was not the one that called, I found this weird.
We then have our meet cute moment, but it takes a bit of time to clear the misunderstanding, so it was kind of annoying, but damn Yoo Shi Jin has charm! He sucks you right in, but my type is more Seo Dae Young, he is too adorable.
We then meet Yoon Myeong Joo, who came for Dae Young thinking he was the one injured and they have a talk. I found their love story more interesting as they had a forbidden love story and how they met was just too cute and then their relationship start off as friends, then lovers and then the father meddling. I’m getting off track here.
Yoo Shi Jin and the Doctor are at odds, since she thinks he beat up the kid and he is trying to prove his innocence, he does this macho thing with her phone, which was sexy to be honest and they sort it out and it’s the meet cute of dreams.
I liked the scene with Kim Gi Bum and Seo Dae Young. He mentors the kid to find a new path in life. Now this scene pissed me off. Yoo Shi Jin does this ouch thing and he re-opened his wound, now this wound is from the knife wound he got from the North Korean soldier, you clearly see it’s a knife wound and Kang Mo Yeon goes “is this a bullet wound?” I was... how can this girl be a Doctor? He tells her yes as well... so was this incorrectly translated, since clearly that’s a knife slash and not a bullet hole, emphasis on the HOLE!
*TRIGGER WARNING*
Again.... how is this a gunshot?
They’re both interested in each other, she knows he’s a soldier, she knows what that implies, she calls him, they make a date with each other. All is well, except in episode 2 she dumps him because of his job... this girl gave me so much headache in this drama. I am OK with her character, she’s strong, not defenseless as most k-drama portrays female leads, she knows what she wants, but she is dumb enough to dump a guy since her job is to save lives and his job is to take life... but then when he needs to take life to save her, she doesn’t care... What would have happened had they shot someone at the medi cube when the Arab Prince showed up? They all made the right call, but she nearly jeopardized his career and nearly had the guys killed, not only the soldiers, but her fellow Doctors. Not to mention all the stuff that happens afterwards.
He looks like a little baby here. Episode 1 ends with him cancelling their date due to an emergency call and him being picked up by a helicopter.
The first time I saw this, I binged it, since the drama had already ended and I did not review it properly. I regret that now, since I can’t compare notes, but my post about episode 1 was short and apparently I loved it back then.
I don’t hate it now, but your perspective can change. It’s been 5 years and I did mention in another post that this drama was not without it flaws, but I loved it. Remembering things now about this drama. it’s OK and as I mentioned, I wanted to see more of Seo Dae Young and Yoon Myeong Joo, since their love story was better.
I give it a B-

Pinocchio update:
08/03/2021 morning update: In-Ha figures out that Dal-Po was Gi Ha-Myeong and he gives her details of his story. With multiple near misses of meeting each other, the brothers finally meet, but Jae does not recognise his younger brother so Dal-Po doesn’t tell him that they’re brothers nor that he is a reporter, but later on Jae overhears someone calling Dal-Po a reporter and Jae then threatens him to stay away.
In-Ha finds out about her mother’s part in the reporting of the firefighter’s death 13 years before and is devastated. During a lecture by her mother, In-Ha attacks her mother saying she was the one reporting the lies and because of her actions a family was torn apart. The newscaster was speechless. Jae who attended the lecture later “attacked” In-Ha wanting to know where she had gotten some of the details. Suddenly Dal-Po was there to protect In-Ha and Dal-Po tells Jae they are brothers, that he is Gi Ha-Myeong. Jae is in disbelief but Dal-Po tells him of the last conversation they had together and Dal-Po breaks down holding onto his brother.
Later the brothers are together in a restaurant learning details about each other’s lives when Jae confesses to Dal-Po he has killed some one. (Jae’s story is so heartbreaking. If he had found his brother first I don’t think he would have killed those men. He and Dal-Po would have been each other’s strength.)
Now let’s talk about another story going on in this series, the comedic part. Kim Young-Hwang plays Seo Beom-Jo, a son of a very wealthy chairwoman of a conglomerate who has known about In-Ha secretly for the last 13 years. He decides to become a reporter with In-Ha so he could meet her. He and his mother are a hoot. Being rich he has not experienced the ‘normal’ side of life so his reactions to everything is too funny. Even his mother gets involved with his job at times to help him out. Very funny stuff. He is 6’2” and adorable and sweet. He really proves his worth in how he works hard and “suffers” just to be by In -Ha’s side. I really like his character.
08/03/2021 evening update: Jae was preparing to do an interview with In-Ha’s mother, Anchorwoman Song Cha-Ok, and he was going to kill her on air. Knowing this, Dal-Po pleads with his brother to turn himself in and that he would bring that woman down his own way. At first Jae states he is going to put an end to it all. But Jae finally surrenders himself to Dal-Po and their plans to take down the uncaring reporter were forged.
While Jae prepared for the interview, Dal-Po took the police to where the man had been trapped in the manhole by Jae, and the man was dead. As Jae’s interview progressed he begins to turn things around back to the reporter, showing the nation how cruel and cold hearted she was. And Jae announced he was the murderer of 3 men. Dal-Po, at the same time, was at the scene of the murdered man and announced that Jae (who had become sort of a hero for rescuing a boy from an oncoming car accident) was the murderer and when signing off the report, he said, “ My Name is Gi Ha-Myeong.” And his family was in shock.
***My favorite part is when Jae looks at the Anchorwoman and says, “with your words, you took a good man and made him into a devil, but today you took a murderer and made him into a hero”. And she just stared at him knowing she had been beaten.**
So that he could do a proper ‘revenge’ against the Anchorwoman, Dal-Po and In-Ha broke up, he moved out of his home into his brother’s house and asked his ‘father’ to have the adoption dissolved so he could become Gi Ha-Myeong again. The old man was devastated. Even In-Ha’s father asked him to stay. In-Ha stayed in her room.
More to come later…..

WHY PEOPLE ARE BUZZING ABOUT STRANGER S2 : INTENSE INTRIGUE + EVERYONE IS A SUSPECT
Can you find the culprit?
All the puzzle pieces in the crime series Stranger S2 are coming together as our favorite crime-solving duo team up to find missing Prosecutor Seo Dong-jae (Lee Joon-hyuk). While Prosecutor Hwang Si-mok (Cho Seung-woo) and Police Inspector Han Yeo-jin (Bae Doo-na) retrace Dong-jae’s steps, they discover that cases brought up earlier appear to be related to his disappearance. What makes the series so interesting is the brain-racking mystery and how suspicious all the characters are. Enjoy sleuthing alongside the duo and check out the possible culprits here.
Choi Bit
Most of the primary suspects are new characters in the second season, including Chief Choi (Jeon Hye-jin). Choi Bit has no qualms about bending the truth for the good of the police. She can be hot-headed and calculative. Prior to Seo Dong-jae’s disappearance, Choi Bit was concerned about him prying into the case of Police Sergeant Song Gi-hyeon (Lee Ga-sub)’s death. Now she’s worried about the public thinking that a police officer might be behind Dong-jae’s kidnapping. She’s clearly nervous and has something to hide, but could she be responsible for Dong-jae?
Woo Tae-ha
Both Choi Bit and Chief Prosecutor Woo Tae-ha (Choi Moo-sung) seem bothered about the fact that Seo Dong-jae was looking into the death of prosecutor turned lawyer Park Gwang-su (Seo Jin-won) before his abduction. However, Woo Tae-ha might be experiencing more difficulty in trying to appear nonchalant. He’s on edge and doesn’t want Hwang Si-mok to dig too deep. Tae-ha already lied about the other file Dong-jae gave him and spoke to Park Gwang-su’s wife secretly. Could he be involved in Dong-jae’s abduction?
Lee Yeon-jae
Lee Yeon-jae (Yoon Se-a) is now in charge of Hanjo and embroiled in a power struggle with her brother Lee Sung-jae. She’s determined to keep her position and continue rebuilding Hanjo’s reputation. Could she be entangled in some dirty dealings though? When Dong-jae brought up Park Gwang-su’s death she jokingly asked if she had killed him. Furthermore, before Dong-jae’s disappearance Yeon-jae cryptically says, “There was one more,” after receiving a supportive text message from Dong-jae. However, Yeon-jae may not be directly involved in his disappearance because she does appear to be worried about him.
Kim Sa-hyun
Prosecutor Kim Sa-hyun (Kim Young-jae) joined Woo Tae-ha and Hwang Si-mok to represent the prosecution for the Prosecution-Police Council Meeting. He comes off a bit arrogant and annoying at first, but he seems different after Dong-jae’s disappearance. Sa-hyun has a bit of a heart-to-heart with Si-mok when he talks about having known the late Lee Chang-jun (Yu Jae-myeong) and being affected by his passing even though he had not seen him for 13 years. He also notes that if a police officer is responsible for Dong-jae’s kidnapping then the investigative authority fight between the police and the prosecution is over. Sa-hyun seems harmless, but you never know what could happen in this series.
Kang Won-chul
Chief Prosecutor Kang Won-chul (Park Seong-keun) quickly signed off on the ruling for the Tongyeong drowning case which wrapped it up in a short amount of time. While Si-mok didn’t disagree with the ruling, there are some signs that show Won-chul might have changed since the first season. He’s in a higher position of power than before, and his meeting with prosecutor turned lawyer Oh Ju-seon (Kim Hak-sun) reveals that Won-chul might be considering what to do with his career after leaving the prosecution someday. Is Kang Won-chul still trustworthy?
Lee Sung-jae
We have yet to see Lee Yeon-jae’s brother Lee Sung-jae. We do know that he’s ambitious and eager to take over control of Hanjo. Seo Dong-jae got involved when Yeon-jae asked him to speak to her father on her behalf. Although he wasn’t able to get inside her father’s residence, he did succeed with investigating and discovering some medication in the trash. This information helped Yeon-jae realize her father’s current state. What if Lee Sung-jae found out about Dong-jae sneaking around and reporting to Yeon-jae? Would he have played a hand in his disappearance?
Jeon Seung-pyo
Former Dongducheon Chief Jeon Seung-pyo (Moon Jong-won) is a favorite potential suspect amongst many viewers. He’s got anger issues and is implicated in two of the three cases Dong-jae was looking into. The first case centers around his demotion after assaulting his driver. This was the case that Woo Tae-ha pretended to have forgotten in front of Hwang Si-mok. He was also questioned for whether or not he was involved in Song Gi-hyeon getting transferred to the precinct where Jeon Seung-pyo’s nephew works. Yeo-jin and Si-mok observed that Seung-pyo could have overpowered Dong-jae, but is he guilty of attacking him?
Kim Su-hang
Kim Su-hang (Kim Beom-su) is Jeon Seung-pyo’s nephew and finished serving his sentence for receiving bribes. We know he had an antagonistic relationship with the deceased Song Gi-hyeon, but he claims to have repented upon being questioned by Yeo-jin. Su-hang’s employer described him as a hardworking person and well-liked by the elders. Is he truly a changed person, or is he just putting on an act? While he has an alibi, is it possible that there’s an accomplice?
Baek Jung-gi
Police team leader Baek Jung-gi (Jung Seung-gil) seemed pretty guilty earlier on. It appeared as though he was receiving bribes and potentially guilty of killing Song Gi-hyeon. When questioned after a witness comes forward, Jung-gi appears more innocent. He does seem genuinely remorseful about leading his team to accept bribes in order for Lee Dae-seong (Park Sung-il) to afford his ill mother’s medication. However, when the Segok officers are walking to the room to be identified by the witness, Jung-gi is the only officer who knows that there is a witness. Did he just hear it from colleagues or is he more involved than he lets on?
Prosecutor Seo Dong-jae’s Wife
Seo Dong-jae’s wife (Choi Hee-seo) reacts atypically at the news of her husband’s disappearance. When the police check the DNA of the blood stain at the scene against her child’s cheek swab, she appears more worried about her children than her missing husband. However, she does film a video pleading for any witnesses to come forward. When Jang Geon (Choi Jae-woong) shows her the photo of Dong-jae’s bloody tie, she cries and pleads for help. However, when she watches the news with her son later, she looks oddly detached as she reassures her son that the news is not about his father. Is she hiding something?
The Father of One of the Drowning Victims
The Tongyeong drowning case was the very first case we saw in the second season. There’s got to be more to the case than what we’ve seen thus far. The father of one of the drowning victims was visited by Choi Bit, Seo Dong-jae, and Han Yeo-jin separately. While he initially believed it was a simple drowning accident, the case became scrutinized for potential mishandling. Yeo-jin remembered the older, wooden flooring at the father’s home but has kept the information to herself. Is it just a coincidence or is the father involved with Dong-jae’s disappearance?
Aside from the characters mentioned already, there are plenty more suspicious people to consider. Some that come to mind include Prosecutor Jeong Min-ha (Park Ji-yeon) who might harbor feelings for Dong-jae, and Lee Yeon-jae’s right-hand man Director Park (Jung Sung-il), who seems a bit shady. The culprit could even be someone not mentioned on this list at all. However, it’s clear that most of these people are hiding secrets. Only time will tell as Si-mok and Yeo-jin work together to expose the secrets. In the meantime, hang in there Dong-jae!
Don’t forget to tune in and watch Stranger S2, only on Netflix. Catch the culprit yourself!
Synopsis: In the midst of a power clash between prosecutors and police, Hwang Si-mok (Cho Seung-woo) and Han Yeo-jin (Bae Doo-na) reunite to uncover murky secrets as they pursue a labyrinth of intertwined cases.
