So, let's start learning about the alphabet called as Hangul (한굴). The Hangul was created during Sejong's dynasty, the fourth king from Joseon's dynasty, in 1443. The King Sejong, The Great (세종대왕), decided to create this alphabet, because the previous alphabet was the Hanja, with Chinese characters were difficult to learn and only privileged people could learn how to read and write. With this in mind, he reunited all students at that time. The final first version from Hangul was called as "Hunminjeongeum" (훈민정음), in 1446, that means "Proper Sounds to Instruct the People". The Hangul wasn't used by scholars or Koreans of the upper classes until after 1945. The Hangul consists in 10 basic vowels (모음), 11 double vowels (모음), 14 basic consonants (자음) and 5 double consonants (자음). How pronounce the letters? Miss Vicky here will help you. Basic Vowels (10): ㅏ [a] ㅑ [ya] ㅓ [eo/o] ㅕ [yeo/yo] ㅐ [ae/e] ㅒ [yae/ye] ㅗ [o/o] ㅛ [yo] ㅜ [u] ㅠ [yu] Double Vowels (11): ㅔ [e] ㅖ [ye] ㅣ [i] ㅡ [eu] (pronounce: 'ugh') ㅘ [wa] ㅙ [wae/we] [we] ㅚ [wee] ᅱ [wi] ㅢ [ui/yɨi] ㅝ [wo] Basic Consonants (14): ㅂ [b/p] ㅈ [j/ch/s] ㄷ [d/t] ㄱ [g/k] ㅅ [s/t/sh] ㅁ [m] ㄴ [n] ㅇ [mute/ ng] ㄹ [l/r] ㅎ [h/r/t] ㅋ [Kh] ㅌ [t] ㅊ [tch/t/s] ㅍ [p] Double Consonants (5): ㅃ [p] ㅉ [j] ㄸ [t] ㄲ [k] ㅆ [s/t] 잘 가! ♥

아름답다 romanization: a-reum-dab-da definition: to be beautiful ... note: 비읍 (ㅂ) sounds like somewhere between "b" and "p". ... If you are learning Korean, the best way to understand the words and senteces better is to study and understand Hangul first. Learning to read Korean instead of relying ng Romanization is a great help to improve your skills. Also, you'll get the "true" pronounciation/sound of the word. Keep on learning :)) #learnkorean #한국 #항국어 #한굴 #korean #language #koreanvocabulary #koreaboo #koreansentence #koreanotes #studykorean #koreanclass #koreanstudygram #bilingualeducation #koreanclass #한국어슬랭 #한국어배우기 #한국어공부중 #selfstudy #fighting #파이팅 #화이팅 #easylearningkorean #vocabularyoftheday #koreanword #learnlaguage #koreanverb #koreanverbs #learnlanguages #dailykorean (at Philippines) https://www.instagram.com/p/CDIWcUiAKTX/?igshid=thimg2wr9rd

Day 3
Learn 2 idioms
눈코 뜰 새없다 “I don’t have time to open my eyes and nose” (Being ultra busy and having no time to do anything else). 눈이 높다 “Eyes are high” (Having high, or unrealistic standards).
I kinda procrastinated doing this today because I’m not sure if I’m ready to understand idioms. I don’t really understand these in terms of grammar but hopefully it won’t be long before I can.

Introduction
Hi everyone! My name is Fei. I'm 25 years old and I live in the PH. I'm fluent in Filipino and I speak English as a second language. I'm currently learning Korean by myself but I'm nowhere near the point where I could hold up a long conversation.. I actually been trying to learn the language for years now but I always have a hard time staying self-motivated. I just thought that studying at my own pace isn't the road for me to take.. but hey, for the 100th time, I really want to give it a try!
In this blog, I plan to post my progress in my language learning and some photography and random stuffs as well 😂
I would be very happy to accept a little help from anyone who speaks Korean. I'm also hoping to make new friends to practice with. And oh, if you see this, please recommend me some great Korean language related blogs to follow! Thank you so much and have a great day🧡

안녕하세요 여러분! Topik prep sesh tonight~ As this year's topik test day is a-coming, I better prepare myself, and boy do I have to study. This material on the pic is last year's Topik test. My method is the same for any kind of language material: one exercise/text/question after another, leaving absolutely no doubts behind. So it's basically choosing the material I'm gonna use and use it thoroughly. I am not a fan of just getting the gist of the thing and going on, I leave no stones unturned. I must say it's not easy at the level of Korean I'm at right now. For the audio session, I listen to the audios many times, until I understand it perfectly. For the reading part, I read and translate all sentences until I am comfortable with all the vocab and verb forms. It's also important to use right away the new vocab. I usually put it in my Quizlet and practice with it. Also writing a little text after every study session is excellent. As you can see in the pic, I don't try to make my writing very pretty or anything, I just need it to be effective. As long as I understand what's written, it's okay.

Language study culture is having one headphone plugged into your phone and left ear while your eigjt ear has headphones connected to your laptop because youre using both to have audio references for pronunciation while your notebook is infront of you laughing at your handwriting.
