Squid Game 2 with Yim Siwan

I am probably one of the few people with a Netflix account that didn't see Squid Game when it first came out and now I am faced with a real dilemma. I have until 26th December to watch the first series and catch up or just decide to give the whole thing a miss and wait for his next project. Does Squid Game really deserve the hype?

I just watched Unlocked and it could very well work as Strangers From Hell's sequel, the psycho might as well be Jongwoo who got another identity and finally embraced his psycho tendencies and went in a killing spree (just as Moonjo wanted). Moonjo would be proud of him and would indeed consider him his greatest masterpiece. XD

Gosik's trip to see The Merciless - The Review

I went there 40 minutes earlier to get a good seat (there was no seat number on the ticket; rule was who came first, got the place) and 40 minutes earlier the good spots were already taken. So I circled the room once and by some luck found a spot almost in the middle of the row (it would be better if it was a bit higher but it was still perfect). 

The movie was as always amazing but the sound and visuals were so much better. 

Good it was dark because I was smiling like stupid while watching. 😆

Also it was fun to watch it with people. Like, some scenes were even funnier when watching with a group. 

The only minus was that the cinema was hot and it wasn't Sul Kyunggu and Yim Siwan doing. They should have turned the AC on. 

If you ever have a chance to see The Merciless in cinema, just go.

Definitely going 4h by train to see it.

Also I know it will sound a bit prideful but as I was sitting there in a cinema full of people, I wondered if someone there read or will read our Jaeho x Hyunsoo's fanfics 🤣🤣🤣

I cannot put into words the effect it had on me, the scene from The Merciless (2017) when Byunggap and Hyunsoo have their little stand off at the dinner table, Hyunsoo saying "i don't swing that way" at the provoking remark from Byunggap, Jaeho watching with absolute glee as Hyunsoo effortlessly picks up the gun and points it at Byunggap like he's bored, like he wasn't about to get his face smashed in with a beer bottle. It's that disinterested, almost apathetic look on Hyunsoo's face, the "hyung, is it a real gun?" as he turns to Jaeho while still aiming at Byunggap. It's the way Hyunsoo doesn't care he's chairman Ko's nephew. It's the way the gun clicks to let everyone around know a bullet is in the chamber, it's the way Hyunsoo just presses the gun to Byunggap's forehead forcing him to back down, all while looking like a relaxed and bored cat. It's the way Jaeho stares at him like he just saw an angel come down from heavens, grinning and impressed.

It's just, it's perfect.

One of the hardest things about starting a new series that's already completed/aired.. I cant fucking look at gifs or posts without spoiling things.

I just wanna say that the clueless puppy that is Ki Seon Gyeom is the peak of "himbo"s

Squid Game breaking a 13 episode season into two seasons. 👀 I bet that S3 will be released after June 1, 2025 so that Squid Game S2 will qualify for the 2025 Emmy Awards and Squid Game S3 will qualify for the 2026 Emmy Awards. Netflix will be milking this for all the publicity they can get.

Also, I was chuckling to myself watching the date reveal teaser trailer featuring running because of course Im Siwan would absolutely sign up for yet another drama with running in it! 😆
