made a fan edit of Ghidrah The Three Headed Monster that's the english cut with some small bits from the Japanese original cut back in! very much solely for me, since it keeps a lot of music changes, but I'm happy with how it turned out and how I was able to make it work :)

I always get a small feeling of satisfaction every time I see Kumonga referred to as Spiga or the Kamakura's referred to as Gimantis. Even hearing King Ghidorah referred to as Ghidrah. I like knowing I didn't just hallucinate those original english dubs I watched as a kid. Also, I kind of like calling KG Ghidrah. It sounds more informal. Like we're on a first name basis, you know? King Ghidorah? OH, you mean Ghidrah? Oh, yeah, me and Geedge go way back...

What are your favs if you wanna share :)
Edit: I also haven’t seen Godzilla minus one yet but I really want to!!! !

I think it's something many of us have sensed, but when reflecting on the Shin films' use of effects, it doesn't feel a stretch to say that those films serve as a farewell tribute to the traditional tokusatsu aesthetics.
Sure, Ultraman etc. do continue to use those practical effects. But Anno's films may be the last time we see someone who understands and loves what those old films and shows felt like and used his medium to recreate that rather than shy away from it and try to look like Jurassic Park. At least in a big-budget marquee film.
This convincing-not-quite-realism that makes films like Ghidrah and vs Biollante so wonderfully dreamy is not the aesthetic of Hollywood, and it is also not really Minus One's.
