There are two wolves inside me. One wants to embrace a new hobby in dance so I can be active and feel elegant and graceful and strong. This wolf wants to try something new and exciting, finally indulging in something I've always had an interest in.

The other experiences such frustrating emotions on a near daily basis that I want to go back to boxing, which is arguably easier to break into since I've already done it before. This wolf doesn't think of elegance, she just wants to fuck shit up until her body's so overworked and warm it fogs up car windows without having to do anything but sit inside.

Which one do I fucking feed??

hey! i'm still thinking a lot about the minecraft movie and how much potential there is to take the plot in just about any direction - i understand why it would be impractical at best to try and make a film adaptation of the fallen kingdom saga, but that would probably be my favorite...

thinking about how Shiro never really knows for sure what Keith thinks about him. By the time they meet, Keith's already closed off his emotions. Shiro's not naive enough to think that Keith doesn't still have them, but he's suppressed them to the point where he might as well be emotionless. Nothing good has ever come from them, and they just get in the way of what the Garrison wants him to be- a weapon.

A weapon has no need for emotions. No need for attachments. All a weapon has to do is obey the orders its given.

But Shiro? Shiro cares about Keith. There's so much that he wishes he could give him that he can't. Until one day, suddenly he can. Aboard the Castle of Lions, they couldn't be father away from the Garrison if they tried. They're also in the middle of a war, which... isn't ideal for convincing a kid that they're not actually a weapon, but he'll make do. At least Allura and Coran are willing to help him.

The truth is... Keith doesn't know what to think about Shiro. Some tiny part of him that still recognizes his own emotions realizes that he thinks of Shiro differently from the other members of the Garrison's command. He tries to not dwell on it- he's his commanding officer, especially out here. He's glad It's a good thing he's here. He's not sure what he would do without him who he would take orders from. Allura? It's not like he can't think for himself, but he's not... used to it. There's always been someone to give him commands.

Except for Shiro.

It's not Shiro who commands him to take an Altean pod and use it to ram the black lion to keep it out of Zarkon's hands. It's not Shiro who commands him to face down Zarkon himself either, in a situation where he has the clear disadvantage. But Keith does that anyways. It's easy enough to rationalize- the black lion is critical to Voltron. To the universe. He is not a paladin, but Shiro is his commanding officer- therefore their mission is his mission.

He's not a paladin. This is the only thing he can do to protect Shiro the mission.

(The red lion quietly observes. Not yet, it decides. There's a spark, but it's quickly doused again.

like they updated everyone’s bios in october of last year and imo just saying kuukou speaks vulgar as hell and doesn’t act at all like a monk does plenty to show he’s got an attitude problem in his old bio so why change it to something that can be transliterated as ‘violent criminal behaviour towards others’ if you weren’t about to focus on it 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Hi! I just read your tags in a previous post and now I'm curious, why can an open window kill you in Germany?

No, but really. There's a belief (especially among older Germans) that the draught created by an open window will give you a stiff neck, a cold or even pneumonia - all from a simple, gentle breeze.

It's so prevalent that a couple of years ago the German Red Cross had to beg people to please keep their windows open during summer because the elderly especially were at serious risk for heatstroke etc (the majority of houses here don't have AC and are designed to keep heat in).

This also applies to trains and cars. My mum absolutely refuses to sit in a car with even one window slightly down because she claims it gives her a stiff neck.

Funnily enough, we also really love opening ALL THE WINDOWS for a good five minutes every day during winter (with the heating off naturally) for airing out our houses/flats. It's actually really effective.

... but those are designated window opening times and they definitely won't cause A DRAUGHT!! 😱

This to me is CRAZY btw. Let me explain. I get it here it makes sense but he says the same thing about ace in thriller bark. And then after time skip he is back to this and he should be TERRIFIED. I’m gonna need ya’ll to understand that just because a character is considered a “good guy/hero” does not necessarily mean you should be applying modern real life moral values to them. Jake is born 100+ years in the future, he’s on a completely different planet, him and his family are a different species than us, he’s apart of a completely different culture, he exists in a different social climate, he is at war, and they are fictional. Contextually all this information is so important because it tells us none of these people (no matter how moral or ethical or lawfully good) are not going to perceive what is “right” the same way we are. Because the world that teaches them what “right” and “wrong” are, is a very different world than the one we know. Automatically assuming that a fictional character that doesn’t do exactly what you think they should do is inherently wrong, lacks serious media literacy and basic understanding of fiction as a genre.
