Darlings. is it gay when the phantom you created as a manifestation of your dreadfull loneliness takes the form of one of your closest friends.
Fanart of this pretty good horror rarijack fanfic, "The haunting of carroussel boutique" personaly i am surprised the writer didnt take the chance to point out how fucking funny this is. Me n kim started laughing about it during stream and i just had to draw this
#i REALLY didn't mean to make this look like theyre fucking#it just happened i apologize#either way the fanfic is pretty good!#but i couldn't help but realise the writer stook to the horror genre like glue#and didn't think to point out how objectively funny that like.#Rarity is sleeping with a copy of applejack#incredibly akward#incredibly funny#also shoutout to when ghosts are born from a wish#fuckin LOVE that. much better than “some guy died here”#Rarity haunted herself because of her awfull loneliness#lucky for her the real thing has come to the rescue#applejack#rarity#rarijack#mlp#my little pony#suggestive#I GUESS!!!#fanfiction#pony posting#The Haunting of Carousel Boutique#friendship is magic#personaly i coulda done with more romance and smidge bit more of comedy#but the fic is still very VERY well put together#one genre fics are unrelatable to me but i respect the hell outta it

But Jon will fall asleep during shoujo anime while Damian is on the edge of a seat wondering if the two protagonists are going to hold hands yet
They both enjoyed Sailor Moon

This is something I'm thinking of doing with a good friend of mine on Twitter, a chad friend as far as I'm concerned, named KKODDI5. I was thinking maybe we could collaborate on some type of I guess "headcanon shared universe" since we both have similar tastes and yet I want to know more of his taste and what has he seen, what he likes and what he loves.
I'm calling it "The Deathwick Universe" and I think I've figured out the reoccurring theme with it being unconventional protagonists of all kinds - a high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with cancer, an outlaw in a large gang whose perspective is changed when he's diagnosed with tuberculosis, a cold and ruthless deceased government assassin coming back to Earth as a Hellspawn, two Roman soldiers who find themselves in the middle of famous conflicts, a shy and often bullied and ignored boy who befriends a girl next door who turns out to be a vampire and so on - having to not only fight against the odds but also facing the most uphill battles and highest and dangerous stakes that affect them personally in so many ways.
Think of it like the finest and bestest food that you'll have, the best of the best food at a top notch restaurant and the one you wait a decent amount for than when it comes, it's more than worth the wait.

Actually kind of tired of seeing people qualify shows as QL or queer coming-of-age instead of BL when they’re perceived to depict any aspect of the gay experience beyond two guys just falling in love.
#1. BL is a gay romance genre. Is it gay and about love and influenced by the gay Asian media boom? Then it’s BL—happy ending or not#2. Some people are too married to the definitions of the romance genre as defined by the romance book marketing industry…#but I think we ought to recognize how staunch dedication to market demands can hamper art and exploration#3. The word a lot of people are looking for with their happy endings and formulas is actually “romantic comedy” not BL.#4. Works can also fit into more than one genre!!! It can be murder mystery plot-driven and still be BL!!!#5. QL would be a useful term if we were dealing with issues of gender in the main romance but few shows are giving us that#6. Yes I know the origin story of the term BL but many of the novels and manga were more transgressive than acknowledged…#And the live action series have included queer issues since the start…#And it’s only one branch of BLs that ever promised happy endings#7. Genres are inherently unruly and the impetus to gatekeep them is silly at best and at worst detrimental to one's growth...#Instead of excluding certain kinds of gay love from BL just get better at describing the tones and plot structures and themes of shows...#BL drama#kbl#thai bl#korean bl#taiwan bl#japanese bl#Litbc#<- this is about this show and so many others!!!

Not That Complicated
Title: Not That Complicated (Not That #1)
Author: Isabel Murray
Summary: If this was your classic Cotswolds murder mystery (it’s not) and Ray was an amateur detective (he isn’t) then when he stumbles across something unexpected under his bedroom floor, he’d investigate the hell out of it. Hard pass. Ray’s just a thirtysomething graphic designer with a broken heart who doesn’t much like his life right now. And he’s already having nightmares about the whole thing, come on. He’d rather not think about it. (Also, the police were kinda mean, and now everyone thinks he’s a serial killer.) Luckily for Ray, the last man in the world he should be interested in has distraction on his mind, and it seems like all Ray can think about is Adam Blake. Adam is everywhere Ray turns. He is too young for Ray, too cool for him, too beautiful for him…and for some bewildering reason, Adam is always there for him when Ray needs him the most. But Ray’s not falling for it. He’s not falling for Adam. Definitely not. Because Ray and Adam have a complicated history, and starting something would be a terrible idea. Wait. No. Ray is not falling in love… Right?
Genre: contemporary romance, comedy romance,
Ship type: m/m
Why you like it: It's kind of silly but that's the point really. Extremely high strung, anxious weirdo (affectionate) and the younger, bossy, more emotionally mature guy who riles him up and then calms him down. Also, in all honesty, the 'dibs' moment.... it got me. But mostly this is fun.
Content tags: I mean, there are dead bodies found but it's a comedy so don't worry about them. Some D/s stuff but more teased than shown.

i do love the 2000s comedy shoujo manga bit where like every other character is drawn super glittery and handsome most of the time meanwhile the main character is practically only ever drawn in chibi slapstick mode. watching some pointy bishounen stare longingly and lovingly at a girl who looks like gumby 99% of the time is really good.
#ive been reading shiwase kissa something or other. whats it called. the english name was happy cafe LOL#ive been kinda reading it off and on. pretty good comedy to pick up here and there if ur okay with. intense 00s shoujoness#and both the good and the bad that that comes with LOL#im a bit further in and an age gap relationship they just introduced with some side characters is. unfortunate#tbh the main characters age gap with what i think is her Main Boy also hasnt aged well but the side character situation is um. rough#but such is the nature of one who loves a genre/medium/demographic/etc. you will read anything. anything. just to see what its like#most of the time the romance takes a backseat to the main character being like a gumby with the strength of a popeye though#and the slapstick that comes from that so i forget LOL distracted by that kid destroying property with her Hulking Abilities#not a bad manga. like i said very 00s shoujo in all the sense of the word#but i do really love when this happens like young women and girls DONT want to see themselves in some super hot girl#they WANT to see themselves in gumby. this is the truth. this is the truth.#special A did this a lot too. not as intensely but that girl was in comedy drawing mode a good 60% of the time#i love it. turn girls into gumby. its okay

lwj might actually go for romances. like the ones so dramatic at to be overwrought and corny. he eats that up esp when he's younger like yes....you see me...that IS what it's like...actually I bet jyl does too. big romance girlie is jyl. she reads the books too. jyl and lwj movies nights aww
#I do not think of wwx as a romance genre person but maybe he joins them one night and realizes he really gets invested lok#lol*#but mostly I bet he likes psychological thrillers and horror#wait and gardening. he wants to learn how to garden that's nice for him too#ohhh and comedies. but they have to be like. good. I bet he has movie nights a jc and nhs#cql txp

listen firstkhao might be together but its just SO much funnier when they aren't - like imagine having a professional reputation for being obsessed with your best friend's top lip
#firstkhao#i swear to god ive watched them kiss so many times that we've made a genre jump from romance into comedy#also first's top lip is A+++++#I am fully supportive of every one of khaotung's acting choices
