no matter how much you told drew to stay away, he didn’t listen. he told you it was fine if he took a few days off to stay home with you, and since your current condition, practically bedridden, you didn’t have the energy to argue with him over it.

you’d been up sneezing and coughing all night long, and the cherry on top was when you went to drew’s bathroom you realized you ran out of your medicine. drew heard a mumbled “fuck,” come from the bathroom.

before you knew it, he was standing in the door, his sweats hanging low on his waist, rubbing his eyes from the bright bathroom light. “everything okay baby?”

“i ran out of medicine.” you groaned. god you hated being sick, it hurt to even walk back to drew’s bed. “sorry for waking you up.”

“you didn’t wake me. do you need me to run?” drew questioned. you looked at your phone, the time read 1:12am. “are you crazy? it’s 1am drew.” you slowly made your way back to the bed. “so? cvs is still open.”

“plus, we don’t want the baby to stay sick.” he wrapped his arms around your stomach, a big pout took over his lips. the only good thing about being sick was how much drew babied you. you shoved him away. “i told you don’t come near me. i don’t want you sick too.”

“baby i’ll be fine.” he wrapped his arms around you again. “plus don’t act like you weren’t all over me last night anyways.”

“you’re annoying.” you groan. “carry me back to bed?”

Bright golden eyes watched the wolf. Watching the other digest what he had just told him. Suresh was sure that it was rather a lot to take in and he could be patient for the moment. Unless he had planned to tamper with the wolf's mind honesty was the only way forward for these types of things. At least in Suresh's many centuries of experience. But the memory of how Versipellis had tasted made his mouth water. It wasn't the idea of being first, it was the authenticity of the wolf's emotions, the heady strength of the emotions that drew the demi-god in. Experience was something that came with practise. He smiled at the offered forgiveness.

He stayed still as the wolf approached him. He wasn't surprised that the other didn't want to keep the space. But it had been important for it to be the wolf's choice. The soft lips and the tease of the beard on his forehead made the ancient Naga smile. The soft press of foreheads stirring something long forgotten in him. He didn't move as Versi sat next to him. Only turning when the wolf finally turned so they could face each other. Hands still clasped in his lap. And he listened to the young wolf. A soft smile on his face as the wolf listed out positive qualities that the wolf had noticed. Perhaps it was unfair for Suresh to think that Versi had never stood a chance. He let the wolf take one of his hands, long fingers curling around the wolf's warm palm. Looking down at their hands before looking back up at the wolf. And he felt his god ripple through the back of his mind since it was an invocation and Suresh would reply with the benediction. Suresh waited until the only question. He turned more, reaching his free hand out to touch the wolf's neck again, fingers caressing. As he let out a deep shaking sigh as the other gave himself over. "Then we will be friends..." His eyes glittered in the low light of the little room. "There are some rules... Because of my position in the city. But we can talk about those another night. Do you know where club O is? Go there when you are ready and ask for me. And we will continue this conversation about desire..." He pulled Versi in close and kissed him again. Moaning gently into the wolf's mouth. Breaking the kiss to whisper, "Tell me a fantasy. Something I can give you when you come to me."

The feeling of Suresh's hand coming to rest above his heart slowly began to slow it down a little, a comforting feeling came from the touch. He liked how the other could cause his heart to hammer yet relax all in one. Just as he liked how soothing the hand caressing his neck felt. As his heart slowed, slowly so did the haze in his head. Even though they had just kissed, Versi's cheeks still filled a light shade of pink at Suresh's kind words. Being called pretty and unboring was something he'd have to get used to. "Oh, Suresh." His voice soft, gentle, as was most of Versi by this point. He was absolutely putty in Suresh's hands, to do and mold however he chose. "You are the pretty and unboring one, not me. I'm happy you were my first kiss, and that I was able to give you something in return as well." Hearing Suresh reassure him everything was alright only further relaxed him, but his brain was still slightly hazy. Be still and listen carefully Versipellis. Everything else around them faded with those words, the haze in his mind clearing a bit. Versi kept his gaze locked with Suresh's as the other spoke, giving him his full attention, attentively listening. His brows furrow a bit when Suresh begins to tell him about being a Naja and hinting at his age. But when Suresh continued it was then that he began to understand why that was brought up. Funny enough he wasn't upset because the other had fed off him, but he does appreciate the apology. When Suresh says he is going to let him go to give them both a little bit of space to think he wants to protest, not wanting him to move away in the slightest, but he just ends up giving a soft 'mhm' instead.

His gaze drops to the ground as Suresh moves to sit down but ends up shifting over to him when he spoke again. Something shifted inside of him a bit right now in a way that the wolf could not put into words, but it felt a bit achy and good all at the same time. "Thank you for being honest with me. I appreciate it. I also really appreciate the apology. I assure you...all is forgiven." Now that he can actually move again without stumbling over himself, despite Suresh wanting to give them space, Versi walks over to where Suresh was sitting. He stands in front of the other for a moment, leaning down to tenderly press a kiss upon Suresh's forehead, pressing their foreheads together for a moment after, before sitting down next to him. He shifts his body so he can fully face the other as he speaks, letting out a small breath, gently smiling, "You are wonderful, Suresh. From the kindness you show me, to the lovely words you speak, all the way to your very pretty smile. I also like the little chuckles you sometimes let slip through, and the way you get a little shy with certain compliments. I like the way you look at me and how it feels when our gazes meet. And I think from the very beginning you had me, because even back then just the accidental brush of our hands sent an electricity through me." One of his hands reaches out to gently take one of Suresh's, "I want to be your friend too. I want to explore those things with you, to learn what makes you weak with desire, to taste you in ways I have never tasted anyone else before, and I want you to explore every inch of me. You helped fill a space in me that was lonely and I want to be someone who can help fill any loneliness you might feel. In any way possible. We can kiss as boyfriends do, touch as lovers do, and confined in one another as friends do. My only question is, are there any rules that need to be followed?"

Eloise rushed through the halls, frantically looking for Lycanna, but also desperately trying to avoid open areas, trying to keep out of sight, he did not want Heath finding him again.

A hand grabbed his arm, which made the werecat yelp out a surprised meow, but the familiar voice that reached his ears soothed him.

“You okay?”

Lycanna asked, Clawdeen visible behind them, watching the best friends.

Eloise opened his mouth to answer, but his lip wobbled and tears sprung to his eyes. Lycanna hissed and smoothed a hand quickly down one of Eloise’s ginger furred ears. “Hey, hey, hey,” Lycanna mumbled. “it’s okay, it’s okay.”

Eloise opened his arms and Lycanna immediately wrapped the smaller were up in their arms, letting Eloise get his emotions back under control, giving him a squeeze before letting him go.

“Heath catch up to ya’?”

Clawdeen asked, poking her head forward. “Lycanna told me.” the werewolf said when Eloise blinked bright blue eyes up at her.

Eloise nodded, before his ears slumped back.

“Forgot about me...” Elosie mumbled, his tail lightly tapping at his heels. “Went out with Toralei instead...”

Clawdeen rolled her eyes. “How can a monster be so damn forgetful?” Clawdeen said out into the air, putting a claw to Eloise’s lips when he made to answer. “Nah, listen to me, kitty.” Clawdeen started, looking to Lycanna for permission, smiling at her partner when they nodded. “Yeah, the jerk forgot about it, but are you gonna let that ruin your weekend? march right up to that boy and make him pick! if he wants to spend with Toralei, of all monsters, then let him! but you can’t live in limbo like this of not knowing where in the dang world you stand to him.”

Clawdeen tilted her hip, her ears pinprick straight. “You gotta do something, you don’t gotta be alone, of course not,” Clawdeen pointed at Lycanna and herself to Eloise, winking at him when he turned back at her. “But you gotta do it, or you’ll be miserable, and that ain’t acceptable.”

Eloise blinked for a moment, before sighing and nodding. “You’re right, really.” the werecat said, before steeling himself. “I can’t just ignore him, and it’s just going to hurt not knowing just what was going through his head.” Eloise sucked in a breath, shaking his head. “Yeah! I’m gonna go find him!” Eloise took a step, before he stopped and looked back at the other weremonsters. “Come with me?” he asked, making Lycanna smile gently, and causing Clawdeen to laugh.

“Of course! what else are friends for!” Clawdeen said, giving Eloise a pat on the back.
