heeseung’s career began at eight years old when his parents finally gave in and allowed him to start go karting.

f1 was his dream! he had posters in his room. miniature car figurines in a glass case that he didn’t let anybody touch. he sat for every race, knew every driver and owned so much merch that his mother had to hide her credit card

it’s giving maddy knew who she was from a young age- it’s giving obsession- it’s giving me with my enhypen obsession-

it was clear from the get go that this kid had some talent. he knew what he was doing and he knew how to do it better than anyone else

though he’s always been a little bit of a shit talker and ended up in several friendly feuds with other upcoming drivers.

lmao can you imagine 8 year old heeseung bickering with max verstappen?

as he grew older, he began competing in various competitions, and won the majority of them which opened up the doors to competing internationally

years later, he secures a position in F3 and gradually works his way up to F2. eventually, he makes it into F1 as one of the most promising drivers, under the guidance of red bull

you met Heeseung at one of his karting races when he was 15. instantly recognizing his potential, you had him sign your phone case, insisting that he was going to be famous one day and you wanted to sell it on ebay when he did.

and who are you to pass up on the opportunity to keep in touch with a soon to be famous racer?

his helmet is definitely custom designed as buzz lightyear and i find that absolutely adorable

he also has your initial on his helmet somewhere that everyone thinks is so sickeningly cute

you receive some hate with jealous people accusing you of only wanting his money and fame

haters come outside i’m not gonna do anything. haha. i just wanna talk ( and set their hair on fire ) just a lil chit chat 😃

but for the most part, you are actually very much adored

your heart feels like it’s seconds from stopping as the end to the final lap approaches with heeseung in close second

he’s going to overtake, and you’re not quite sure whether your heart could handle it

you grip onto his mother, the two of you holding onto each other in anticipation

it happens within seconds, you barely have time to process it

you don’t know how much time has passed before he’s running towards you, yanking the helmet off

there’s no time to process anything before he sweeps you up into his arms, pressing kisses all over your skin wherever his lips could fit

2. Haha thanks! Honestly...it's the hyperfixations. I managed to improve a lot in just a year because I've been drawing SO much cos there's so many shows and movies I became obsessed with that I wanted to create art for. So by drawing a lot I just naturally improved. For example these two Illustrations are just a year apart:

I actually didn't actively try to improve, it's been a while since I did proper studies (I just don't really have the time for it between freelancing and art school), it just happened.

But I can absoluetly recommend going on YouTube and look for some art tutorials if you actively want to start improving! There's some channels that helped me so much back then:

And I can also recommend checking out this book by James Gurney if you want to get better at colors!

And for anatomy I highly recommend the Morpho books!

But improvement doesn't only come from drawing a lot. A lot of the time I don't draw for a while and just study the world and artists around me and suddenly I improved when I get back to drawing. Don't ever overwork yourself to the point that you don't enjoy what you do anymore. Take breaks and listen to your body!

I learned to try and not compare myself to other artists, which helped a lot. Through conventions and social media I made so many lovely artist friends and realized how we're all struggling in a very similar way. A lot of us don't even really know what we're doing most of the time, haha. But we help each other out, it's such a wonderful community. I think when you're not actively part of the community it tends to feel like other, more successful artists are some kind of art gods that have perfected the craft and never struggle. But believe me, all the artists you admire go through rough times all. the. time. Sometimes what they do feels easy and natural, other times (more often than not) it feels like you have to try and learn how to walk all over again and you start to doubt your abilities. I personally go through that so many times.

So what I'm trying to say is that instead of comparing yourself to the artists you admire, learn from them instead. Ask questions, befriend fellow artists, study the artists you enjoy and just have fun with it!

As for your questions, I can't actually be specific cos there's no definitive number I have in mind for either. Basically there are a number of sectors (you can consider them their equivalent of countries - they have less than what we do though), and a number of species of demon of which I've designed about seven of. The ones I've shown before are these guys (and do you think I could find this pic again? No, I had to recreate it cos for the life of me I couldn't remember what ask I'd previously stuck it in lol):

I used to have a "field guide" which was also made quite a while ago, unfortunately the death of Flash kinda killed it. Here's a screenshot of some relevant info from it though.

That's an interesting one as it's questionable how sentient souls are after removal 🤔 In my mind its only form is the smoke light, it can "see" to some degree and MIGHT be able to talk (but in a very no one can hear them sort of way, a la i have no mouth and i must scream. So i guess it can think "aloud"). The more time passes the less sentience it has.

It could try, though it wouldn't really get anywhere if it's in Rire's collection. He might just eat it lol.

Izm: The fun dad however needs a partner that knows what they're doing to ensure the child safety during shenanigans.

Marcus and Zeke: Also would be good parents though might be more helicopter out of protectiveness/worry when first starting out.

They are similar to our known society for this! So basically, there are some good families out there (eg Zeke - who is a demon - is from a pretty average loving family), and there are some bad families out there who only care about power or having an heir or whatever.

HH Rire is a human. I differentiate between him and Demon Rire because they are two different characters...even though they are also technically the same character lol. You can consider them as alternate universe iterations of a base "Rire" concept.

i love love LOVE that the pieces were set up like this, idk if credos is mentioned in the novel at all but little building blocks that create bridges (however small) between works in the same universe are my favorite thing ever i like collecting those it's my favorite kind of worldbuilding thing bc it's like putting pieces together heehoo

i'll ABSOLUTELY be making a post yapping about this prequel and the Everything that is Lorasia soon, so i'll leave this off here for now :3 but just know IM VERY EXCITED/HAPPY ABOUT THIS LITTLE LORE BIT IN PARTICULAR

ok that's all the panels i wanted to talk about ,,, i was gonna dive into worldbuild yapping/speculations but again i wanna make a separate post dedicated to that

now,,, about the pacing of this episode,,, as aforementioned, it feels really, REALLY fast! it feels like we're speedrunning the build-up part of the journey, like within the episode it's like "oh we got new characters, we get to know them- oh okay yeah they're not bad people actually - oh new powerful character let's work together okay cool moving on"

and it's a shame because i really really like the art and gags for this ep, i think they're really silly and i think i could have really come to like these new characters with more time, but because we're going through this process so fast it's like,,, the setup is barely there, which makes the punchlines just short of satisfying,,,

i wanted more out of this episode, i expected something else. i haven't read the novel so i couldn't tell you how i'd adapt it or what the something i expected was but,, idk it feels like the pacing is off,,, lloyd was quick to piece together the status of the overworld demons based on their attire and behavior but i really wish it went about in a different way. i wish we could have had more time with the heavenly eight demon kings before they were just. subdued? and the two children too, are we gonna see them again? with how fast they were introduced and how fast they were set aside, i'm worried they won't show up again

i also kind of wish artanis' reveal was,,, more. i don't know how to explain what that means. maybe more ominous? more mysterious? just a little more, more hints to her character or her relationship with other characters or something,,, though maybe this is too soon and we'll see more of her later and i'll be more satisfied? i'm not totally sure

this episode just didn't hit the same, and that really upsets me because i really wanted to like this episode! i've read more manhwa than novel currently so even with it's flaws i still really like the manhwa, and i want to be able to continue liking the manhwa,,, i really hope that this pacing thing and these fast-paced bits is just within this one episode and that it'll be okay as we go forward. i really want to continue enjoying reading this!!!

it could be that the adapter is experiencing some kind of burnout, it has been quite a long time since the start of tged. i really hope they take their time with adapting the rest, i really wouldn't mind another break. if another hiatus is needed for the adapter to pace the story and the artist to draw the panels in a way that feels better or less rushed, i'd accept the hiatus fully

anyway that's all i have to say right now,,, ep 170 really feels like a gamble right now and im praying that it goes well, if i have more thoughts ill probably rb with more yapping idk

idk how i feel about him tbh. like on the one hand it really skeeves me out when someone flirts with a person, registers they're not interested, and keeps pushing anyway, but on the other hand i appreciate the cat king backing off & providing an alternate solution when edwin is clearly uncomfortable with being openly propositioned. he'll still hit on people who Do Not Want to be hit on but he does not coerce sex!! so. yknow. at least there's that?

crystal putting herself at risk like that.... my girl. i do think what she said to charles about only saying it to trick the sprites wasn't necessarily Untrue in that she was saying it to them For that reason, but i also think it's something she's really feeling. that was too genuine and too quick to have been pulled from nowhere, especially with the context of her earlier conversation with niko. i don't think she really believes that she has nothing and no one, but i think she's afraid she has nothing and no one and that's what she pulled on for that trick.

i noticed something earlier in the episode that made me smile. so edwin was talking about detective work and getting a little smug and bitchy in a fun way, and charles was just watching him with this smile on his face- it made me very happy! they're friends and charles likes when edwin prattles on about something, instead of putting up with him or something stupid. idk i just like their dynamic and how real it feels that they care about each other

also it sure has been established that charles makes impulsive decisions without thinking the consequences through. im sure that's fine and will never come up again 👍

the magic shop was fun! love that this man establishes that he uses to be a walrus and now isn't anymore bc of Backstory and the boys simply cannot gaf. they have shit going on man they don't have time for the kind of backstory lore they probably hear all the time given they run in supernatural circles

esther... what can i say about esther. um she scares me 👍 the scene at the end where it's implied she's dismembering her crow? gross! like well done don't get me wrong the sound design made me deeply uncomfortable, but gross

also she is right that monty has a very cute face. i would not trust that man but he does have the face of a highschool freshman i would give directions to the library or encourage during rehearsal. absolutely diabolical to hinge your evil plan on a face that cute!

what else... i really like the dynamic between the four of them. i think niko is a nice addition to help balance things out so it's not all crystal & edwin sniping at each other while charles tries to mediate- which is fun don't get me wrong and i don't want the bickering to go away, but niko opens up a lot more possibilities and i look forward to seeing how her addition affects the group dynamic. or she stays a minor character they helped out and im wrong about the ending implying she joins the group LOL but we'll see! hope she stays an important character i love her, just maybe with fewer threats to her life please haha

as for a favorite character... it's so hard to pick everyone is delightful especially the main few, but if i Had to narrow it down... charles or niko? UGH but i love crystal and edwin too 😭 girl this is impossible they're all so compelling

i don't think there have been any characters i particularly dislike, actually. the little girl with the jellyfish was a bit off-putting for some reason (something about the way she talked? idk man she just threw me off a little no idea why) and the cat king is on thin fucking ice depending on how he deals with rejection (my aro ass Cannot take people acting like they're entitled to someone's affection. he backed down on the sex thing so he's fine for now but i have my goddamn eyes on him)

Working on an AU (yes another one..haha sorry The Cave and Cuffed AU get to the side) without a name right now, I just call it

“DEAD DIB AU”

haha being dramatic is fun. Anyway, the essential rundown is:

Dib is dead. Zim doesn’t know this as he was taken by his people 4 years ago for a trial, was tortured, escaped, and got lost in space for a bit. Buuuut he came back! Membrane informs him, however, that a year after his disappearance Dib died in a mishap in the labs…and Zim refuses to accept it.

One talk at the table, a photo from childhood, and a bonding moment on the couch later and Zim finds Membrane to be suitable company for him as “Replacement for The Dib.”

Zim comes over frequently, and at some point begins to spend the night. Membrane feeds him, clothes him sometimes (Zim usually just steals), and helps with his homework. Zim doesn’t really need the help though, he just likes forcing Membrane to explain toddler level science to him. At least, that’s what he tells himself. Tooootally not because he wants more ways to spend time with Membrane. Whaaaat..

Zim’s final design for the AU is not set in stone, so all the drawings of him will vary, thankfully he will be changing and wearing a crap ton of different clothes in the beginning anyway, so it’s fine.

This AU has more to it than it seems, however. As much as I enjoy trying to think of ways Zim and Membrane would bond / clash (oho boy are they gonna fucking clash.), there is an actual plot and stuff, and it won’t just be “Membrane and Zim fluff one shots”.

There’s gonna be angst and some blood and gore n all that jazz. Soooooo prepare :3

ALYXCAT'S PAWSOME PLAYLIST - MY FAVORITE PARTS OF MY OWN ALBUM

I WANNA…i love the stereo space in this track. it just feels so wide to me and im being hugged by my guitars. im just so proud of myself to making this so quickly as proof of concept that i could make something really good if i just chose to have fun.

ANYTHING….the first and last verse of the song was written by my girlfriend. she wrote a song for our first anniversary that turned me into a SOPPING WET CRYING MESS and i had to reference it in some way. i ended up making this song for this years anniversary with a bunch of cute art i doodled with the lyrics on it…she cried and i was so glad.

TRACK THREE. this one encapsulates what writing this album felt like to me. everything was in perfect alignment. i feel like i really cracked the code. like i finally crossed (krossed haha) a hurdle that i'd been stuck on for many years of my life. its so corny and full of things i love about the songs i love, but thats the point. this is the song that taught me to embrace the rough and scrappy drafts and ideas and throw my feelings of inadequacy to the side. Polyana's verse really cemented this for me too because she just freestyles at the end and it just felt right to keep it in. TLDR: this song taught me to trust my gut. i love it so much.

HEADSPACE. i wrote this song after having a "regular" conversation with someone in my family and i was realizing i was dissociating as a defense mechanism whenever a specific sort of interaction would occur. i've always wanted to write a song that gets really intense and is really grand, rough, and intense, and this song really did it for me. its the first time i really appreciate my singing and screaming voice in its natural range, so im glad it was the first one on the album to feature it.

RECHARGED. i wrote this on a bad day but originally as a joke to make myself feel better. the starting sample is actually a stupid deku meme put through many layers of botanica ass sound design to hide it. i got a bunch of funny reactions from my friends after showing them. i actually did feel pretty refreshed after making this. enough to keep moving forward for the day <3

HOLD ME (sunglare from the sun). aside from the weird title shit thats going on with this track, this song is about a conversation i had with myself. my weeks kept feeling like moments of drowning mixed with the most euphoric times of my life on repeat. as much as i wanted to give up on everything i held dear to me, some part of me couldn't let go and encouraged me to keep going. despite all my self-sabotage, a part of me still had some fight left. the way that this song progresses is something that i never thought i could ever accomplish, and im glad that fighting side of me won because i would have never made this song without it.

CANT LET YOU KNOW. the person that this song is about changed my life. i know that the chorus and all that sounds like they sucked, but really i can't help but hope they're doing okay. though i may be afraid to tell them to their face, i hope they find this song and know that im glad they were apart of my life. i just love how corny this song is and I LOVE POLYANA'S VOICE SO MUCH. okay anwya yeah I ALSO LOVE THIS FUCKINNN OUTRO ITS SOOOO PRETTY TO MEEA AAA

SENTIMENTAL ALIBI. kros… FUCKING. KROS. THIS GUY IS MY FUCKING GOAT. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH. THIS SONG WASN'T EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE ALBUM!!! i made a little sketch one day and sent it to him just to hear his thoughts and HE CAME BACK WITH A WHOLE VERSE THAT MATCHED THE VIBES PERFECTLY WITHOUT ANY CONTEXT! and it ended up becoming the WHOLE SONG and one of the biggest projects i've ever worked on. for this entire album being the first times i've ever started working with people, im SO GLAD that my first experiences have results like this. these people have become such important pillars of my life and im so glad we were not only able to communicate that into a song together and work so well together doing it. my fav part of this song is the final climax…this is the first time i really sang my heart out on a chorus,,,,,and I LOVE HOW IT SOUNDS!!! THAT USUALLY NEVER HAPPENS!!!

TAKE A STEP. this song pushed me with the sound design a little and im really happy about it. when i hear this song i always feel a bit of me choosing to be a little hater and cringe at the conry ass message i have in this, but strangely i feel such comfort knowing i can look at those feelings, accept them, and move on despite them. i may think its stupid, corny, cringe, whatever. but i'll keep following those feelings because they have only led me to create this entire project. i will keep taking a step towards the realest parts of me no matter how fucking stupid i sound because its the only way to grow. im really glad this is the last song on the album for this reason.

the entire album means so much to me because this (and hopefully future projects too) will continue to serve as reminders of the lessons, memories, and joy i experienced when creating this project. dare i say, i would need a Sentimental Alibi to free myself from the nostalgia of this project.

2 things! 1-Do you play HSR (Honkai Star Rail) and 2-No pressure or anything but when is your story coming back?

I played a bit of HSR but I’m nowhere near as far along in it or as active on it as I am in Genshin. The last character I got was Boothill lol (I live laugh love Boothill).

It still astounds me that people actually enjoyed reading my story haha. I know it’s been a while, but with school and everything it’s been hard to even find time to write. I think I mentioned before that I’m kind of revamping literally everything—so I also have to find the time to draw the chapter art. So many characters are being scrapped/added/changed to help facilitate the storyline a bit better without me having to be so long-winded with it. The problem I was having was I would just write and write and write without really taking the story anywhere. I want to have a bit more structure to it so that it’s easier for me to get chapters published and easier to read as a whole. But, I won’t be able to do anything until school gives me a break 😭

It takes a bit of time to plan out a story lol. I also don’t wanna be like Chris Colfer and have inaccurate timelines and stuff 😔

I promise it won’t be away forever, but since you’ve been so patient, I’ll give you a couple things you can expect in the new version:

1. Further fleshed out backstory lore for Aurelia (and her mother 😒) along with her and Cyrus’s father (people who know about him seem to like him a lot don’t worry)! But why does Aurelia have light skin and gold hair if her biological father has dark skin and blue hair?? Something’s going on there…

2. More Negative content in general since he seems to be a fan-favorite. He also gets a new underling/sidekick! And when I say more Negative content, I also mean his role in other worlds and what that has to do with his identity and his overall plan. OoooOoOoOoOooOo….

3. Actual Demon King stuff (and he’s updated too) 👀

4. Cyrus’s home world is almost fully fleshed out so seeing some of that too! Probably a lot of that too… I might include a small fetch quest there to give you all a tour. I plan on making a completely separate story for that world (that does not have Cyrus as a main character), but that’s A LONG WAYS AWAY and not fanfiction so 😔

5. Some new characters who are projected to be fan-favorites too. Such as Vincent. Y’all might know who Vincent is, but, if you don’t, trust me you will. We will also be exploring more of my fanon backstory for the Demon King and how it connects to Xanthous as his reincarnation. The Demon King himself WILL be an added character (I’m so excited to actually do a art piece of his new design)! This is gonna be fun.

Here’s some questions that hint at lore drops:

What the heck is going on with Aurelia and why does her mother scare me?? Why does Indicum work with her but seem to be on Cyrus’s side?? Is it maybe because Aurelia’s true intentions are not what we think they are??? 😦

What is Negative’s secret ambition that makes him side with Aurelia? Why do his hands always hurt?? Why does he also have the ability to travel between worlds?????

Xanthous has got some insane lore! What’s going on with his underworld (and what’s going on in the aboveworld??) Why is he so secretive about the demons?

Where is Elrik? Where did he go?? Somebody must know! (Somebody does indeed)

Why is Cyrus’s scepter starting to talk to him?????

What does the design on the back of Cyrus’s neck mean? Is it a continuation of his tattoo?? Doesn’t seem like it. Why does he have such a bad reaction when that mark is hit??? And why can hear a voice in his head reacting to it too?

And finally, does the Inamoratos Grimoire actually exist? If so, who has it? Who made it? Why? What does it have to do with Xanthous and Cyrus specifically???

✧Introducing my Precure fanseries✧ ⭒Characters part 1⭒

Background: I have had this series for almost 13 years so I know some names have been used in the official series, I know some themes, weapons and other stuff has been used in the official series but I simply don’t care(/j). They’re special to me and aside from redesigns this fanseries has barely changed in all those years and I don’t want to change something just because it was used in an official series. My child self put a lot of work into this series and I still have a lot of the VERY old sketches so I don’t want to ruin baby me’s work :)

✭Kanemaru Xin | Cure Twinkle✭ Xin is a young girl who lives a quiet life with her grandparents who live and work in as jewellery repair shop. One day a small creature, Takara, appears from an old mirror asking for her help. Xin is now the legendary warrior Cure Twinkle and has to help Takara find the other precure and the crystalheart shards to restore the power of the royal kingdom. She loves accessories and deco, she often gives her friends handmade jewellery and wants to take over her grandparent's shop one day. 

✭Hoshino Shion | Cure Sparkle✭ Shion is the son of two famous tennis players. He goes to the same school as Xin but they're not in the same class. Due to his parent's fame he often feels like he has to continue their legacy but secretly he wants to be a fashion designer and model. At first he was against being a cure but after realising he finally has a group of people that don't want to be his friend because of his parents and he can help people he agrees. He doesn't really get along with Dia (Cure Glitter) and they often end up arguing with each other.

✭Yoshinaga Tsuki | Cure Glimmer✭ Tsuki is the daughter of a popular hotel chain owner. She is obsessed with ghosts and spirit hunting. She loves going out and having fun but her parents are extremely strict and expects her to be a perfectly behaved child. She is in the same class as Xin but they didn't really talk before becoming a cure. Tsuki loves being a cure and thinks it's super fun. She is loud and bold but has a big heart. Her love for ghosts usually makes people wary of her until they get to know her.

There’s still more I need to introduce again but this is it for now! Also if anyone wants to do a fancure art trade feel free to reach out because I love drawing other people’s cures! Also I used to post them a LOT so if you were in the Precure community on DA or Amino(I hope you’re okay) years ago you may have seen them,,,

Gamma deceit, Delta logic, Epsilon memory, Theta trust, Eta fear, Iota joy, Sigma ambition, Omega rage, Xi desire. Do you have any ideas for other AI?

Well, there's Beta (who gets designated "Failure", but I've already said what I think about THAT). I believe in @sharkface-daydreams Yellow Church being Pi, the Apathy Fragment. While Epsilon kinda recreates everybody he knows within the AI unit to interact with, they only exist in there (so maybe more like NPCs?). The Epsilon-Tex, and later the memories of the Fragments who work with Epsilon to help Carolina may well be new Fragments (the memory of Tex Epsilon had even came back and tried to fight the Meta/Maine, got hurt, and Epsilon followed her back into the unit, which started all the iterations). THAT version of Tex very well could be considered Zeta (@leonardalphachurch also calls the Epsilon-Tex that too~), but I'm not sure if all the memories of the Fragments would need, or want, different designations...

There is a BRIEF little glimpse in one of the Project Freelancer flash-backs where we see the implication that other AI Fragments exist, but they're missing/taken to different locations. What they were is a little up in the air... if there was a Love, maybe I'd give that to Ro. Other possible designations could be Greed, Hope, Courage, Hate (maybe even Self Loathing... if you asked the Director, he'd say the AI hating him counts as "hating himself", but from his point of view- that's just an excuse), Guilt, Sympathy, Humor (silly funny one~), Confidence, Kindness, Curiosity... I'm not sure which could be what letter, though.

I've joked that Phil is also a missing Fragment, and he's Disdain (just wants to complain about everything haha). There is the long-running joke that VERY AI is actually a Church Fragment (from the AI gods to Lopez and Vic), but realistically... that's kind of lot. Then there are all the "alternate time-line" Churches, which may not have been totally real, but who knows- he could have just been making a bunch of little guys again. He does that.

There was also that whole dream I had that was like watching a movie, that tricked you for the first 20 minutes or so into thinking it was a regular sci-fi movie, but then RVB characters show up... the main character was trying to rescue an AI from people who were going to use it for insidious reasons, HOWEVER, I think my dream-movie was setting up yet another fake-out; the main character was actually the last surviving Alpha Fragment, given either a humanoid robotic body or a synthetic human body made from the Director and Allison's DNA (making them, basically, Carolina's sibling), and the little AI companion they had was the one REALLY trying to protect THEM by guiding them away from the ship full of bad guys (so, a little guardian AI, but not a Fragment connected to Alpha)

Basically, if you wanna make up a Fragment with whatever emotion/Greek Letter designation; go for it and have fun~

I'm still thinking about your fic that had the yaoguai Undercity. Are you ever gonna do anything with that again? Because it was genuinely so cool. :D And I'm still wondering about MK's POV for that first visit, he probably had so many revelations about Wukong in such a short time. xD

The Undercity is still a concept I want to utilize in my AUs and writings! I actually thought about writing a “bible” fanfic detailing the structure of the area and how it essentially works in the LMK universe.

I always pictured it to be a mini realm created to house and inhabit yaoguai, yaomo and yaojing of any kind and keep them away from Heaven’s eyes; as in it wasn’t there for a long time until someone (coughs, two pilgrims, cough) came along and designed it. I actually thought it would’ve been interesting if SWK didn’t create it alone and I know I can’t use the Seven Sages/Kings anymore because LMK wrote them out so I can’t have him say “the snob-nosed monkey spirit king helped me make this” so I had to improvise and decided Ao Lie could’ve helped him.

I imagine it’s—well, Xiaotian shows signs of being able to manipulate mechanical transportations and even create mecha from rock, and then SWK is able to do it, too, so I figured Ao Lie could be a savvy with creating things just like Xiaojiao is with her vehicles. But like… buildings.

And I imagine it’s called an Undercity but it’s essentially this big realm to be able to house so many yaoguai… and those who need different environments too! Demon dragons and sea-based creatures would need a big water area to thrive in so they made an underwater structured area for them, etc.

The reason why Yaoguai fear and love SWK is because they know if they mess up SWK will attack them but they also know if they’re wronged SWK will protect them. It’s quite interesting tbh.

I think I’ll try to write it up in my free time—should be around 4k if anything—and title it “Your demon’s guide to creating an underground city with your best friend (no not that one)” for fun. For SWK to have the magic to create realms or realm-like environments—I can definitely see that and I am shocked people don’t play with that concept more often because I am 100% he could do it if he set his mind to it.

But, yeah! Thank you for the question actually it really made me happy someone was interested in the Undercity haha

2025 media roundup: persona 5 royal 🎮

Before you say "Mads, you've played Persona 5 at least five times, why is this here?" Well. I hadn't actually played Royal Until Now. And it's 2025, the year of Persona 5. To me. Warning: Spoilers Below for those who have not played the new content in Royal! (And also a warning that I can't find my USB stick so I've taken photos from my TV, along with screenshots from when I abused the PS4 remote play to bypass the locked scenes to stream the 3rd semester for my girlfriend, haha...)

If Royal was the original release, I think I would have liked it. But because I have played vanilla so many times, the additions with new characters all felt very forced and tacked onto an already complete story. (Which is my biggest complaint of the game, I'll be real!)

To say some nice things about the game: I loved all the updated sprite work, I loved all the additional dialogue from characters, the mini games were fun, and I certainly enjoyed the actual social link with Akechi.

But the things I didn't like... I just could not get into Sumire's character... Something about her rubbed me the wrong way from the get go. For lack of a better word, her character is just such a "nothing burger" and never once felt like an actual Phantom Thief. All members are outcasts from society who have been wronged by adults in positions of power, but her fight never felt... like she wanted to help herself. Her inferiority complex makes an interesting character, but not a good party member.

Sumire lacks a real personality-- which I think hurts more as she is puppeting her sister's likeness for the entire game. What actually sets them apart? Their hairstyles? Do we as a player learn about any of her actual likes or dislikes? The only slight glimpse is when her gymnastics coach talks about bringing out her own "style" -- but we don't actually see any changes to her model, her fighting style, her voice, or dialogue. It's almost like she's a phantom in her own life by design.... Which would have been an interesting dynamic to indulge in, but ultimately she is wasted potential. I'm mostly disappointed she wasn't a playable femMC, because her design is very cute.

Maruki I think I can be less hard on, as his inclusion makes sense from a story point of view. Shujin just had a student attempt suicide, and one of their teachers was abusing the student body.... Of course they would hire a therapist!

.... But again, he's so blasé and isn't actually a therapist; Which in theme of the game again of those in positions of power to take advantage of others, makes a lot of sense. (And I think it's also just super funny that he isn't a legally registered therapist, which makes his social link and general motives so laughable.)

^I will say that this was sick as fuck, so I gotta hand that final boss battle to him. It was cool.

His themes of man's hubris surpassing god in becoming a master manipulator makes sense in game, but again, this is not a novel. You have to play through him giving the same speech over and over again... He never feels like a real threat, and... I know P5's narrative of having people take responsibility for their wrongs is a core theme of the game, but I really wanted to let him go and forget about him there.

The changes to the ending I did like as they give a little bit more info about how they banded together to break the real world's cognition, and broke MC out of prison. It's also a nice coming-of-age milestone how each of them come to head with their own struggles in drifting apart and becoming the person they really want to be... But I don't like how they don't have a road trip together to drive MC home! That was such a cute and sweet ending to me! Instead he just takes the train back so we can insert the tacked on characters for a 0.5 second cameo?

After finishing 'Confessions of a Mask', I'm sure you will write about your Gay Agenda Mishima.

Overall, I can't say I hated Royal but I can't say it was good, either. It was a good experience, but there was just so much nitpicking I was doing in the background that probably made me seem like I loathed it, haha. I did platinum it though so now I have to play all the spin-off games I own.

Although im 100% aware Lusttale wont ever be *the* Underlust, its still a AU i love and seeing people welcome it as the new Underlust has also grown my confidence (Still, so sorry if i sound arrogant. I really dont mean to have the "chosen one" attitude and despite the owner making content i really dont agree with i dont want to disrespect, i just right now really feel more comfortable and 'in my zone' to continue Lusttale as a replacement for Underlust)

I posted this to my BlueSky (which is the same handle as here and I will be trying to post there too, I also ramble more there at points haha), but I’ve been experimenting more with traditional art since healing my sketchbook trauma/anxiety.

Ramblings below the cut as usual:

I want to show off more of my sketchbook pages cause I want to maybe help some other younger artists or other people who struggle with sketchbook anxiety. This is also not to say that everyone struggles with this, or has had this experience.

I just know it affected my art journey a bit, and I want to show people how I healed from it. Aside from me needing heal from my carpal tunnel *cough* which is why you haven’t seen me much lmao-

But to explain this page, I was testing out better cell shading styles!

I’m not fully used to alcohol markers, but I wanted to use a bounce light along with a shadow. I still have some more refining to do but I quite like it! Using a red pencil then placing the colors on top, then lining it with a normal graphite lead helps to not only have a bolder final line.

It helps hide certain mistakes or guidelines, I’ve really enjoyed sketching like this. It reminds me of how I would sketch in a different color on my digital art, then do a more refined sketch in black.

I think adding what I enjoy about digital art to my sketchbook has helped for an easier transition between the two, along with easing the anxiety with sketching just in the graphite.

You can also tell I had to test a lot of markers to get the base, shadow, and bounce light colors in a nice order. I found that doing the base color, then bounce light, and then shadow was the best way for these pieces.

As sometimes the bounce light didn’t peek through the shadow as much as I wanted. Learning as we go.

The characters are as follows:

Purple: A cybernetic character, he’s very fun, his name is undecided rn

Green: PonySona, cause cringe is dead

Orange: A fur sona? Maybe? I might make them an adoptable, I dunno I just like their design, funky little fiend. Their name is JuiceBox

Red: Shadow the Hedgehog. No explanation needed. Current hyper fixation-

Blue: GoreSona! I like drawing gore works and wanted a character dedicated to that, one that’s not just an old version of my persona
