The way they did the hunger games in TBOSBAS hurt so much worse than The previous hunger games like all of the deaths you felt as opposed to in the previous hunger games when you only felt a 1 or 2.

Damn. My cake day is in 2 weeks (on the 18th, to be precise), and I really hope it (OR the workday before that) will not be as horrible as it was last year ._.

Hey! Firstly, in my mind I always think of you as 'V' and want to know if you're comfy being called that?

Secondly, illness stuff has recently changed and I'm fucking freezing all the time. It's near impossible to retain heat and I've taken to wearing a mood ring so I can warm up my hands when it turns black. I desperately need advice and/or just solidarity/to complain. But blegh. Also do you like sweaters? You'd definitely look cute in them.

V is alright, as far as nicknames go, but it's quite casual. Vitya is another option, but I prefer to save it for er.. closer relationships.

As far as dealing with the cold goes, I can relate. My body runs cold quite regularly, to the point that my hands are considerably frigid.

I would recommend hot drinks and warm food, blankets when appropriate, heating packs/pads, pocket warmers (you can get reusable ones), or just more clothes.

The electrical bills for the lab were funded by the council, so I was always able to keep it as warm as I wanted, but that's not possible for everyone. I also keep a set of leather gloves on my person in case my hands get stiff, but that may not be necessary in your situation.

And yes, I do like sweaters. In my opinion, they are equally as lazy as sweatshirts, but far classier. Thus, superior in every way.

I live in the desert. If I set my air lower than 78, it will run non-stop and blow out in a week. Today it was 119 outside. That’s a 43 degree difference; do you know how much of a strain it is on your ac unit to cool your home to below 80 when it’s nearly 120 outside? It’s the lowest I can go without spending $16,000 on a new unit. And trust me, when you’ve been outside in 119 degree heat, 78 feels FUCKING AMAZING 😂

We got back from vacation in the middle of the night last week and our ac wasn’t working. The house was 95 degrees. Husband slept outside on the patio, I slept on the couch with a soaking wet sheet on and a fan aimed at me, the kid slept on the loveseat by me and the dog sprawled on the tile. We managed. It sucked satans ballsack but we managed.

The coldest it gets where I live is roughly in the 50’s, with some nights getting fairly cool and the occasional random midnight snow. I dunno……anything below 70 is freezing to me; I need a jacket to be comfortable. We all acclimatize. The summers where I live would kill most Europeans but at the same time, I cried the first time my desert rat ass saw snow, so…..you know…..we thrive where we survive I guess.

Was raining

Got out of the 400 and 3200 meter race involuntarily because raining

Found our rival school

Got 5th place for 1600 and 3rd place for 800

During 800, all my opponents were from the rivaling school

Almost caught pneumonia

Shoes were soaked

Fingers were numb

Was coughing a lot.

It was taking forever for the facilitators to set up hurdles because raining

Raining progressively got worse

Some kids who finished running suck out to get McDonalds

Arrived back at school at 7:30 (We were supposed to arrive an hour earlier)

Immediately had dinner and took a warm shower

Went on my computer to type this.

i’ve talked about this in the past but i friggin hate looking on pinterest for outfit inspo during colder days and all the outfits that pop up are like skirts and a hoodie, like girl it is below freezing i need like jackets and boots n shit none of this “long skirt and a turtle neck :3” that’s not enough girl my city has nicknames because of how cold it gets here in the winter omfg

give me ideas on how to layer sweaters and leggings not “it’s cold today so i’m wearing a long sleeve & a cardigan :)” YOU DONT KNOW WHAT COLD IS

I start November so psyched, so ready for summer. Then December comes and I'm either in an airfryer or drowning in 99% humidity and the sky is an unpleaseant shade of grey constantly because it's either overcast or the surrounding forest are on fire. There is no in-between any longer in Victoria. By January I haven't had a full night's sleep for a month and I am completely and hopelessly insane from it. My skin is parchment. I can't go out but if I stay in I will commit seppuku. I can't open my window at night to a cool change because everyone around me is also insane and literally howling like loons at 11pm on a Wednesday night. Bugs are, in fact, the least of my woes.

Until a huntsman takes up residence in the toilet.
