cant believe all it took to get me deep into thinking about tes and snelfs again was for me to think really deeply about making faendal an actual character
#this time im playing with the idea that snelfs fled skyrim to avoid the atmorans by uh. fleeing to atmora.#uno reverse?????? kinda.#zet gave me the idea and i was so tickled by it#we also thought itd be cool for them to be really good at making greenhouses. like ones underground with ice roofs so sunlight still gets in#im gonna be thinking about it a lot#look the atmorans left bc it was too cold. ice age happened. and WHAT are snelfs? Snow Elves.#they were MADE to trade places with the atmorans#the um. other idea that solely mine was that. a lot of modern nord families actually had lots of snelf in them from generations back#most notably (in my headcanon) the grey-manes. since theyre basically the keepers of the skyforge#and in my mind the skyforge was originally created by the snelfs before the atmorans fucked up their whole situation#and the only reason why modern nords dont know this or refuse to acknowledge it is bc of the ancient anti-snelf propaganda machine#they took the sacking of saarthal extremely personally alright#my other idea was that stalhrim mining and smithing was originally a snelf art that they passed on to the skaals#since the skaals were like. the one group of nords that were chill with them i guess.#i kinda miss thinking about this shit too hard
