Please Reblog this Post Trans Community and Allies.
I am Zestual (some know me as Shadow), and I run a blog for female to male transition and have for almost four years now.
A little about me I am a retired social worker and addictions counsellor. I have completed all surgeries (last one was just over a decade ago). I've had chest surgery, I've had phalloplasy. I actually enjoy sleuthing the internet for proper information to inform the community that phalloplasty is not bad, and not nearly as risky as many say. As long as you take care of yourself pre and post op you will have a phallis that you've dreamed of.
This includes hormone treatments, top surgeries, metoidioplasty, phalloplasty, and much much more.
If you are looking for a resource that only uses reputable sources and is a source of unbiased information on transition.
Here is the blog directory:

Feel free to ask question, send in concerns or questions. I welcome all blog related questions, comments, and concerns.

Pro tips Use a textured condom[texture on the inside obvs] if you can't get off with the plain ones, and Its smart to do it in the bathroom or somewhere easy to clean up spills for the first few times, Its a bit of a work in progress to get the motions right without a little spillage so just keep that in mind :3

Hey everyone,
'The New ThoughtCrime' is an anti-trans community detransitioner essay
Just wanted to give a heads up to the FTM community on here that a user named @mewthoughtcrime is trying to repost the 'New ThoughtCrime' think piece from 2017 - tagging it with this such as 'trans man', 'nonbinary' and 'transandrophobia'.
However this blog fails to mention that the main author of said piece is a lesbian who considers herself a detransitioner. While there is nothing at all wrong with that -
the problem more comes from the fact that said author also believes the trans community is a cult.
This quote comes from the author's interview with Genspec - an organization that pretends to be trans supportive, while also believing trans kids are a myth, trans men are just confused teen girls, and pushing the book Irreversible Damage.
The author also believe in the idea of 'cotton-cieling' - a terf dog whistle that implies trans women intend to force lesbians to sleep with 'males who identify as lesbians'.
The think piece is NOT at all about trans men or transandrophobia.
It's about detransitioning from a woman who believes the trans community engages in 'thought reform' - in a way akin to cults.
The piece reads largely inspired by 'Irreversible Damage' - an anti-FTM shred-piece. This is basically J.K Rowling ideology.
They're in their right to repost whatever they want, especially if that piece of writing specifically spoke to them and other detransitioning folk.
However I do think it's incredibly disingenuous and sneaky to not include this information - or the true nature and intention of the work - in the Tumblr post, as the original author was very clear in stating so.
To post such a piece without tagging the detrans community is a disservice to them and a deliberate choice towards us.
The piece is not at all about transandrophobia - the OP is simply mistagging it to target particular groups - mainly, actively transitioning FTM who are looking for community.
This isn't to say you can't read and enjoy the piece, or connect to it. You absolutely can, it's about someones valid personal experience (well - some parts.) that's eloquently written.
What I do not support however is posting such material, purposely and vaguely mistagging it, while not explaining the contents, the context, and the intent of the author clearly.
I believe readers should always be informed about the source and intention of the writers of the information they received.
People should be allowed to make informed choices about what they read and involve themselves in - whether that be trans politics, or reading think pieces online.
That's why I am making this post.
'The New ThoughtCrime' is an Anti-Trans Community think-piece that targets trans men and lesbians by supporting TERF ideology.
Read with that information in mind. With the situation going on now with staff, I think it's important to be on high alert for indoctrination or misleading literature like this.
By all means, read if you like. I was just not at all impressed with the lack of transparency from @mewthoughtcrime when it comes to detailing the actual contents and source of that information.
It's one thing to call the trans community a cult - before turning around and releasing anonymous faceless think-pieces that you spread around without sources or actively informing others of its contents, in order to purposely get a demographic of people who do not wish to interact with you to unwillingly engage in your rhetoric.
As a essay that calls for 'transparency in the trans community' we can first start by lending some transparency to THIS essay.
Stay safe and stay informed y'all ✌🏾
#i wouldn't be making this post if they had been clear about the nature of the piece#the original blog was VERY forthcoming about the intention of the piece so OP should be as well#You claim to want to spread information - but you refuse to include the information about the work you wish to share#For a deliberate and calculated reason#I'm not gonna sit here and let you trick trans people into reading your bull#I wouldn't sit here and let black people get tricked into reading eugenics shit either#Always remember y'all - you are not immune to propaganda#ftm#trans ftm#transgender#trans masc#trans guy#trans man#transphobes#transphobia#terf ideology#trans misogyny#transandrophobia#transmisogny tw#transmisogyny#lgbtq#lgbtqia#lgbt#queer#nonbinary#enby

It really is weird seeing my formerly... uninformed-about-trans-issues dad just go, "so, as you know, gender is a social construct..." and talk about how weird people are about the idea of trans sports. So, you know, people can change

ok from reading a bit you guys overblew it and overbinding whilst making it so some types of top surgery that require more elasticity the two examples i saw being peri and keyhole which is because they both need skin elasticity which overbinding can reduce skin elasticity overtime they also both require smaller cups which means that would probably be out the window for me anyways while yes over use of a binder over long periods of time can lead to damaging ribs and lungs it should only effect your options for types of top surgery you will still be able to get top surgery it just may not be the type you could've gotten had you not overbinded for however long you had this habit
NOW MOOTS DONT TRY AND GIVE ME A PANIC ATTACK RIGHT WHEN I WAKE UP AGAIN ALR!?!?!??!??!

what does a tdick like... actually look like? or how they behave post-testoterone and pre-surgery? I haven't really been able to find like anything educational about how they work- what the look like, how they differ from other genitalia during sex and/or arousal, any of that stuff. I'd really appreciate it if you could explain it?
Bottom Growth or T-Dick Info:
For educational purposes only
I will be calling a "T-dick" a "T-phallus" in this answer.
I highly suggest all read through my second source, it is very informative about growth, sensations, and also has some good general knowledge as well.
Clitoral hypertrophy: the clitoris growing in length and width while taking testosterone.
So a t-phallus very much looks like the head of a penis, the shape, the contours, it just doesn't have a hole for urination like a penis or a shaft especially when you are aroused. A t-phallus gets erect when you are aroused just like a penis. It is considered the pleasure organ.
During arousal (turned on), it actually swells up and fills with blood, becoming erect and more stiff (hard)
While your t-phallus gets bigger on testosterone many people describe their changes in their orgasms and pleasurable feeling. For example you may like a different kind of touch now because that feels more pleasurable. "Some people describe feeling a more erection-like sensation when aroused." - source 2
Typical bottom growth on testosterone therapy is typically 1 to 4 cm, sometimes even more, this growth varies. One small study¹ about bottom surgery reported the average length of bottom growth measured from 2.5 cm to 4 cm in the study participants who eventually underwent surgery. Another study² found that at the one year mark, the average growth was 4.6 cm.
During sexual intercourse with someone with female genitalia: will require you to use a dental dam as protection (dental dam information), this is just basically a sheet of latex or another kind of plastic (like male condoms), to prevent direct contact. You don't not just need to use one during oral sex but if you are rubbing your genitals together it may be a good idea. If you are sharing toys make sure to clean them thoroughly between using it on the opposite person. (Making sure sex toys are clean is always a good idea).
If you are having sexual intercourse with cis males/ male genitalia: you should be requiring that person to wear a condom, even if they are trans themselves, any bodily fluid contact can spread a STI. Or you can use female condoms.
Here are some articles on sexual health.

Below are example images of a t-phallus and growth:

- a more realistic view.
You can see that there is a tip that gets slightly thinner with the connective tissues. So you have a head of a penis to put it very generally and your 'shaft' is almost buried in the connective tissue/ hood (which I used to call my 'foreskin', it made me feel more comfortable.

Fun facts: We all are actually considered to have female genitalia in the womb until about the second trimester of pregnancy, then your body gets a flood of either estrogen (X) or testosterone (Y), which is what tells your body to form the genitals. This is actually interesting because it shows that the clitoris is actually a tiny penis in a way, since it actually does become a penis as a fetus develops. - I learned this in my child development class.

My Transition Survival Guide #1
Hello again world! Amy here with those promised tips and tricks to help with your first three months transitioning into the new (and beautiful) you. Remember that they will not work for everyone, but they did work for myself and some others I shared these with (yes I did ask other transwomen for their input on this, too). Also, yes, there will be more of these because if I made the whole list here it would be uber long, so let's start with just the first five!
Find your network! This is super important, and needs to be done right away. A good, solid, supportive network of friends and family you can talk to during this time is crucial to your mental health. Trust me, it will be easier if you are not alone.
Do not be afraid to be yourself! Coming out may be the hardest thing you will have to do, and to be honest you may lose some people along the way (I know I did). However, it just paves the way to meet more supportive people. The first day I went to work in a skirt I was so scared, but that same day I met so many people saying how proud they were and offered clothes to help me. You have support in the most unlikely places, so do not be afraid.
Practice your voice! Estrogen will not do everything for us. Our voice will not change with it, so we have to work on that ourselves. TransVoiceLessons on YouTube is a great place to start!
Find your "Flow Zone"! What I mean by Flow Zone is find things that puts you in a state of calm and clarity. Many times through this first three months I noticed that my emotions took over, I started to 'hear' hateful comments (like...inner voices), or started to lose my cool for no reason. I found that finding ways to put myself into a state of Flow helped me realign myself.
Do NOT shut off your urges! What I mean by this is to not stop yourself from wanting to look like your desired gender or from talking a certain way. From my own experience trying to stop yourself and/or hide who you are/want to be just leads to mental problems like chronic depression, panic attacks, etc. If you want to wear make up then go for it! If you want to wear a dress as you go get groceries then more power to you! Trust me, you will be happier for it.
Part two will be up within a day or two, so keep an eye out, and I hope these tips help you out in some way!
Love,
Amy

Something I agree with and have seen stated again and again is that you need to respect boundaries before you can push them.
We cannot maintain healthy sexual relationships if you blur the line of what's okay and what's not too much, respecting boundaries that were previously talked about and agreed on is So important at the beginning of a sexual relationship. It's very fun to push the limits and force out orgasm after orgasm, it's very fun to do cnc play and very fun to do knife play However! It's So important to communicate boundaries and set limits.
Trust me, cnc, bondage, bdsm, knife play all sounds very enticing until you start to feel unsafe or start to panic. You need to Trust and be able to ensure your safety in your play partner.
Some of y'all are rushing out here and it's okay to take your time, it's Necessary to take your time to make your play partners feel Good, Safe, and Happy with heavy-kink scenes

I'd love to hear more about your story if you don't mind sharing :)
yeah, sure! when I was nine I learnt about the queer community and how some boys liked boys and how some girls liked girls ( this was basically all of the information I had ). by the age of ten I still identified as a girl, but begun to feel attraction towards other girls. I came out as a bisexual girl. that year I also thought I was lesbian for a while, but realized I was bisexual again. I turned eleven and begun to identify as gender fluid and pansexual, eventually evolving in me becoming a trans masc pansexual. when I was twelve and thirteen I shifted slightly a few times, experimenting with different labels, but the thing that stuck most was trans masc and omnisexual ( prefrence for men ). I've been that way for a long time now, and I identify as a transgender demiboy ( he/him ), omnisexual, and demisexual. thanks for the ask, anon!!

I sent in my information to request to meet with a gender therapist in my area. I was finally able to get myself to do it. It's kind of scary to be doing this. It says that they are taking new clients. I really hope that is true so I can get started on this journey.

It's just... odd to me, I suppose, going from "what is in my pants is completely irrelevant to most anybody else's life" to the expectation that you must be completely open, essentially, about what is in your pants.
I think a lot of people understand the general idea of why it's bad decorum to demand people offer explanations for private information like this, but they don't analyze exactly why it's bad besides, "asking directly is just rude" and not "asking in any way still enforces the often violent nature of gender and sex, and putting people in the 'right box' is a part of that violence."
It's especially odd when seeing other trans people enforcing the idea that "what's in your pants?" is a genuine, good-faith basis for interacting with others.
#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#mtf#nonbinary#what i mean by the last paragraph is... WHY does it matter?#if i lied to you right now about what is in my pants... how would you know OR how would you change how i am treated by you?#and also. i would absolutely rather lie about my *own* body than be put in danger because it is a trans body#if worse comes to worst i genuinely don't care if somebody is mildly insulted that i didn't 'trust them' enough with that information#it's just weird to see people go from 'only tell doctors that info; it hardly matters outside that!' to...#...'you need to tell ANYbody - even in social and platonic situations where you don't think it matters'...#...can you see how believing in the fundamental idea (that your sex and to extent gender is not your own and belongs to everybody else)...#...doesn't really mesh well with the idea that trans people should be able to live an autonomous life wherein their information is *theirs*#and can you see how for people who aren't trans but have an 'its complicated' with the broad 'what's in your pants?' would ALSO be hurt?#because even if you don't word it as such you still present the fundamental idea that - again - your sex and gender are required informatio#and that it must be judged to be 'accurate' so others can place you in whatever direction they want to treat you with#anyway lying about this shit isn't Inherently Evil and the idea that it's like. a boogeyman is weird actually

Things people don't tell you about wearing a binder
1. Super super super sweaty underneath, but not as bad as you think
2. You gotta reposition stuff sooooo often, idk if it's just mine, but i gotta move my chest into the right position all the time
3. Your chest is not supposed to be completely flattened out, its supposed to make your chest into a more typically masculine shape (aka more like pecs)
4. It helps to already have some chest muscle to make it look more natural (building muscle at all is good, will make larger chest look more natural)
