I am really just switching fandoms left and right, but i need help JnH gang😭
for those who know, im in the process of writing an au story of JnH (Jekyll and Hyde) based most entirely on the original novel, with different story routes and slight character alterations. but the one thing i cant seem to get right is the format in which i’d like to tell the story. should it be completely written? should it be some sort of comic, like other jekyll and hyde based stories? or should i take a different route entirely? please, even if you dont really know what my au is, just put ideas in the comments cuz im really struggling.

literally trying to learn a skill. I want to study the diagrams! I don't want a link to the instructional video. give me the analogue schematics!!
I am slowly losing my mind over the shift towards video as the default media format.
I do not find this to be an efficient way to absorb information. I am bored and distracted by the time the largely unnecessary introduction is over. I can't use ctrl+f to find the specific information I'm looking for. If there are instructions to follow, I don't want to have to constantly pause and back up to the part I need.
At least give me a fucking transcript.

I am genuinely so worried for all the young horny dykes going into adulthood thinking there's something "problematic" / "wrong" with them for being horny because fucking tiktok lesbians think any horny dyke content is "male gaze fetishistic"

It's Yesterday Upon the Stair by an anon on Livejournal: https://sherlockbbc-fic.livejournal.com/3114.html?thread=7671850#t7671850
just remembered a fic on AO3 (or more likely LJ because it had that distinct late 00's experimental vibe) that appeared double-spaced oddly, in that some paragraphs would be spaced normally and others would have double or even triple spaces in between. it was about one half of the otp getting over the other's death (or coma, can't remember which), so all the comments were about how poignant the use of visual spacing was as a means to convey all the emotional holes in the character's life.
and then the author replied like... *giggle* guys it's NOT double spaced. try selecting the whole text
and we were all like "no WAY"
but we selected the text, and yes!!!
the "holes" in the story? they were actually lines and actions from the dead/coma character's ghost, rendered invisible to the eye by the simple trick of coloring the text the exact same as the background, revealed by nothing more than a click and a drag of the mouse
a story about the profound loneliness of losing your the partner of your life and having to make do without them, without anything to fill the holes they'd left behind, suddenly became a story about the profound helplessness of seeing someone you love suffer from your absence while you are right there, unable to do anything about it, unable to communicate that you love them enough to suffer unseen and unheard with them, just to keep them company they'll never know about
it was then that I truly realized how *superior* the digital medium is to plain printed paper, how the medium and the format can add to a story.
I think about that fic about once a year. I wish I could find it again

📺📺📺📺📺📺
The other day, I saw someone complain about how modern television series now have months/years between chunks of short seasons. And I was like...You did not grow up with Shonen anime that tried to keep series going with filler and slow pacing, for as many years as possible. When anime became seasonal, with breaks in between, and anime studios started taking on other projects between the other series that needed breaks, anime got so much better. I much rather have series with hiatuses and better quality, than those marathons and fillers we used to constantly have. Anyway, as you get older, and into more series/mediums, those hiatus gaps fly by. Try tackling your backlog during those hiatuses. Try picking up more mediums during those hiatuses. Some complaints about 1 or 3 shows going on hiatus, make it very clear that some people are very limited in the media they consume.
