Big day for annoying people (me)
The two new eps of ML were good? Like wow it’s been great so far except ep 3 was comparatively a flop imo. Werepapas was so, idk, enticing lore-wise but I don’t have much to say that other people haven’t except that they’re clearly NOT neglecting past plot points, making the tone too silly goofy all the time, nor retconning important stuff like some people worried they would. We have been FED. I’m sure Felix is involved in that ring bs somehow, but idk if his intentions are pure or not.
Warning for the only salty thing I’m gonna say on this post: I’m so tired of going into the fandom tag and seeing people whining about “bad writing” problems that literally never happened based entirely on their own incorrect predictions they made up to make themselves mad. Ugh anyway. This post is gonna be about small details I latched onto in Daddycop!
We got to see glimpses of Sabrina and Max’s rooms this ep! Max’s room looks like a Star Trek spaceship but the books on his bookshelf are kinda giving those reference books at the library of like, archived government documents or research papers iykwim whereas the books in Alya’s room look like manga. An interesting thing I noticed in Sabrina’s room is that she has a line of framed certificates on the wall, maybe academic awards or something similar
Did they ever say if Markov can see Kaalki or not? I’m sure they will eventually but idk which option I like better. It’d be cute if they were friends but it’d be pretty funny if he had to watch Max talk to the secret floating ghost who lives with them now and not question it
List of things Sabrina dumps in the trash: yellow nail polish, the brooch Chloe gifted to her/bribed her with in season 1, the cat ear headband from her Chat Noir cosplay when she and Chloe were roleplaying as him and Ladybug in season 3, a beret, maybe the one Chloe tried to bribe her with in s1, Chloe-style sunglasses, a Queen Bee doll, a photo of them together in the old animation, and a mug/tumbler? Maybe a gift from her as well idk maybe they’re selling Queen Bee-themed Stanley cups over there.
:((((( Aw Sabrina nooo I hate seeing her so sad and the way she lied to her dad so he would think she’s happy and has friends
I think this might be the first time the show referred to Fire Captain Hessenpy by name?
Marinette’s scooter has the T+S logo on it and a sticker that says Boulangerie Paris
Between eps 2 and 4 I’m getting the sense that Sabrina uses Miss Hound as an escape kinda like CN where she feels like she can become instantly likeable, trustworthy, helpful, and useful through the inherent credibility of being a superhero. She has anonymity, can sort of start over on a blank slate, and is automatically implied to be a good person since Ladybug entrusted her. I’m guessing we’re gonna see more of that blank slate idea with other characters and what they’ll do with it, but it’s telling that Sabrina decides to transform to resolve people’s minor inconveniences, especially when she’s feeling bad about herself. It’s like she’s proving a point to herself but also giving herself something productive to do.
The GIRLS Ahhhhh let’s go lesbians
Noticing a clear absence of Alix. Ik the special implied she has to keep hiding in the burrow from Lila but she’s all normal-looking in the intro and they can’t shelve her forever. I feel like something is gonna change to make her be able to return.
^^^ ALSO she’s the only hero with zero design updates and my theory is that the purpose of that is so she can do contrived time nonsense like going back to earlier seasons and going forward without contradicting anything or revealing which time period she’s actually from
I gotta say the side character writing has progressively been better and better throughout the show. Atp they really feel like actual people with their own opinions and motivations. In the early days they felt more like lovable NPCs who talked occasionally but now they’re real characters? With free will? I feel like I just watched Pinocchio get turned into a real boy
The pro-healthy eating censorship/propaganda/whatever in this show is so funny omg. Juleka: I brought fruit tea Mylene: wow that’s so much better than the sugary soda we had last time LMAO. To balance out Rose holding a bag of popcorn they gave Zoe two burlap sacks full of oranges which tbf I’d rather snack on those during a movie than popcorn but still. I saw a vid recently about gravity falls adding random bowls of fruit next to characters eating junk food because they were getting flagged as promoting unhealthy habits. I keep thinking about that moment in Ikari Gozen when Mari asks Kagami out for “juice” when any normal teen would’ve said “coffee” like nope no caffeine in my good Christian miraculous
Love Kagami being a pretentious film nerd go hang out with Nino
RED ALERT YOU GUYS Mylene has an inclusive pride flag pin on her overall strap. Like the rainbow flag with the trans triangle and the black stripe. It’s not subtle or anything it’s just right there wow. Damn
The pin above it reminds me of Timebreaker’s logo. I wonder what some of these pins mean
Ok last season they seem to have established that Sabrina became friends with Marc and Nathaniel who were both explicit Sabrina Supporters since their akuma episodes, so it feels sort of convenient that they were written out of the narrative for this ep. I do see the whole Girl Squad thing and how she feels excluded when all the girls in the group hang out together without her, doing traditional girl things like movie night sleepovers, so I do think it’s totally valid. Her having absolutely zero friends is hyperbolized though.
On that note I have to wonder if the school might have several lunch periods because none of the male characters expect Adrien and Nino were there. Or maybe they just stage the scene with whoever is convenient. They might have flexible lunch schedules and all the other characters are off somewhere else.
Rose mentioned a girl whose name I didn’t recognize and after rewinding i can’t tell what she said. Aglie? New character? Maybe she’s that black girl with pink hair who was sitting with Adrien, Nino, and Sublime at lunch
KAGAMI AND ONDINE ARE CANONICALLY FRIENDS this is like the Superbowl for me. I’m so excited for Sleeping/Princess Syren I need to see her.
God the girls were so messy in that scene where they didn’t want to invite Sabrina lol I kinda love it I can’t even be mad
Zoe, your lab safety is atrocious. Not only are you taking your goggles off while still in the lab, but then you *leave the room* and *touch someone* with your gloves still on?! Diabolical. What are they even doing, soldering computer chips?
Marinette when I catch you Marinette
Roger’s relationship with Sabrina is actually so cute even though he’s kinda misguided as a person GOD when he’s on his way to console his crying daughter and Lila enters his mind space and he’s cradling his arms like he’s clearly seeing her as his baby 🥺 nobody talk to me
Alexa play I bet on losing dogs by mitski. Myyyy baby my baby…
We got a glimpse of the baddest bitch in Paris Xavier Ramier I’m so happy
Sabrina shapeshifted her necklace into a brooch. Huh. I guess you can just do that
The power of believing in herself allowed her to yassify her own character design into a cuter and more fashionable superhero! This is basically just like real life if you think about it
Her ball has a doggy nose on it awww
Lila telling Roger to turn around so she could back him up and fire the anti akuma was badass okay
I’m not sold on the loud ass makeup they have a lot of the characters wearing so I’m glad we got to see the girls with clean faces at the end there. Wow they look so normal! I’m also loving the pajama designs. I had to pause and look at all of them.
Zoe had to stop and hit Sabrina with that rizz stare to make sure Sabrina wouldn’t be coming up with any platonic explanations for her behavior
I never thought I’d say these words, but I think a love triangle between Sabrina, Zoe, and Max would be fun. Imagine Zoe is into Sabrina, Sabrina isn’t exactly catching the hint and sees Zoe as a really nice friend, Sabrina kinda likes Max, and Max is like damn these bitches gay. Good for them.
The end card is so baby omg
I TOLD YOU GUYS Sabrina was gonna get a makeover and people were like uH No iTs JUsT An aNimATioN eRroR oF a ScRApPEd DeSiGn girl why the hell would they leave a scrapped design in the intro, and there’s no way they would accidentally not notice that much less repeat it
Mark my words white haired Caprikid is not an error either he’s real and he’s gonna collect all the chaos emeralds to get that way
A new diabolical twink has hit the scene. Ray’s pompous ass immediately reminded me of Preminger from Barbie. He looks like he rides horses. Like he tells people he’s into sports but then you find out the sport is just horse riding. Immediately invested. Who is this diva. I want him to get hit by a bus.
Ooooo Zoe was up to some Delinquent Shit in America this is so juicy. I looove when suspiciously perfect characters get revealed to be secretly fucked up that’s the best. I’ve always loved those types of headcanons, that she was expelled from her last school and moved to a different country all of a sudden for her mom’s PR. If you think about it, that’s exactly what happened to Chloe damn. Daughter commits PR disaster, do zero parenting about it, relocate daughter far away to start over with little consequence! I wanna see some parallels. I feel like she made it sound like she moved because she was getting bullied at her old school, but what if that was a lie, or at least a partial lie? You know shit’s serious when the exposition is in the post-post-endcard scene
The pacing of these episodes has been satisfying compared to previous seasons, especially 5. They aren’t trying to shove too much in, but there’s still a lot happening and fiiiinally a nice mix of plot and fighting. I was getting irritated by how rushed a lot of the fights were last season like might as well just not have them at all
Late edit: back to the pajamas because I forgot to analyze them, I have noticed that Juleka’s pants have bats on them :) frickin bats. They also have like… a crescent moon with something sitting on it? idk what that is. It’s like a pattern of cute spooky Halloween imagery. But the pants and her black lace tank top versus Rose’s sparkly pink unicorn onesie is adorb.
Zoe has a yellow tank and seems to be wearing her usual leggings under running shorts um? Outside clothes in bed? And her pink slides give the whole thing a sans undertale vibe. Oh what the fuck why do the feet of her tights have individual toes lmao. The horror. I hate it.
I can’t tell what Mylene is wearing except a black t-shirt that might have something white on it. OMG EDIT 2 ITS IVAN’S T-SHIRT FROM HIS OLD DESIGN YOU GUYS SHES WEARING HER BF’S OLD BAND TEE AS PAJAMAS. This is headline news myvan nation. She has maybe pink shorts and her slippers look like Uggs.
Kagami’s silk pjs look luxurious. I love how her clothes this season went from just preppy to being very obviously EXPENSIVE like she’s blending in with the gang but she’s still clearly rich af.
Sabrina’s pjs are a classic set with her usual argyle pattern on them. 10/10 would give her a warm glass of milk and read her a bedtime story. I wonder what she needs eye drops for because she told Roger she needs to pack them.
Excited to see more yay! I love the little details. It’s kinda a bummer that Sabrina spent most of her hero focus ep sobbing but we ball (see what I did there) and the end was so cutesy. So excited to probably watch episode 11 before episode 6

Bonbons, Giggles and Bunny Slippers
Tumblr media
fem!reader x platonic!hermione granger, luna lovegood, ginny weasley
{{a sleepover at hermione's house calls for gossip and chaos...}}
Tumblr media
Hermione's spacious room was whizzing with excitement; an array of sleeping bags scattered across the plush carpet, a group of girls lounging comfortably, frills, ribbons and laughter filling the air, along with a quiet hum of music - the weird sisters.
One ghostly pale, blonde girl sat politely on the single bed, her exposed legs dangling, wiggling her bare toes. She was dressed in a dainty, white nightdress with random, purple embroidered swirls. Her long puff sleeves were frilled at the cuff, much like the neckline and hem of the garment. Her dreamy gaze followed the surrounding walls of the bedroom, floating up and down over multiple printed certificates and multicoloured rosettes. The curtains framing the only window were drawn, leaving only a shadow of moonlight seeping onto the floor.
"Your room is very nice, but maybe it would benefit from some more colour, I could paint something on your wall if you like", she spoke the words like chords of a harp, staring thoughtfully over the blank walls and ceiling.
"Thank you Luna, but I'm quite happy with it, actually Mum and I redecorated last week", the cinnamon haired girl placed herself cross legged upon the floor, her arms crossed, hands tucked under her armpits with her thin, dusty pink, zip jumper hiding her hands. Patterns of white rabbits jumping projected onto her dusty blue, cotton trousers, thick beige socks encasing her feet. She gave a warm and genuine smile, clearly visible with her hair cascading in a plait behind her, as she glanced upon the faces of her friends awaiting their verdict on her room.
Whilst she did this, the fiery red head lay sprawled across the bed next to Luna, lying on her front, her hands cupping her face and her legs kicking the air behind. She had a mischievous gleam in her eye as she grinned at the others, perhaps it ran in the Weasley blood. Upon her legs were lavender linen trousers, upon her feet, furry white socks with bunny slippers, and lastly, upon her torso, an emerald green knitted jumper with a golden 'G'.
"Wish I had a room like this, it's massive", all her emphasis was on the last word as she reached her arms out wide as if to show how big, and rolled onto her back at the imbalance, knees in the air and hair flicked across the duvet.
This won a smirk from Hermione, and a twinkle in her eye from the idea of the burrow, and possibly who else lived there...
Lastly, Y/n, plonked herself next to Hermione, sitting with her legs to her chest, arms wrapped around them. She was dressed in a navy blue dressing gown, a white camisole, and cotton pink trousers with hearts. Her eyes clamped shut as her mouth roared open with laughter, it seems she wasn't the only one to notice Hermione's infactuation.
Startled at the giggles all around, Hermione's face went stern, a frown embedded on her face. "What?!"
The other girls all looked at eachother as if gauging who was to speak up. Finally Ginny did, "Oh come on, you practically drool whenever he comes in the room, I've seen the way you look at him. Don't know what you see in the dopey sod myself.", she teased.
Hermione's face was a painting of shock and embarrassment, she daren't speak.
"Are we talking about Ron? I thought you were already dating him", whispered Luna seriously.
Her face further screwed at this, now a rather bright shade of red. "Look whatever, he's just a friend is all, well... I suppose, I mean... Gosh I do like him, don't I?! ", she panicked at the realisation.
"Hermione's in loooovvveeee", sang Y/n, rolling across the floor with lighthearted silliness.
"Oh hush you. Anyway Ginny, I heard you broke things off with Dean?"
Ginny didn't seem too bothered, flopping her head over the side of the bed, her beauty as evident as ever, "He gets his knickers in a twist over the smallest things you know? Had my eye on someone else anyway...", she admitted casually, stroking the squeeking pygmy puff perched on her chest happily.
Hermione gave Ginny a knowing look and pursed her lips cheekily before turning her glance elsewhere.
After a hour of playful gossip, the night light in the hallway shone beneath Hermione's door, alerting them of the ungodly time. With her parents now in bed not too far away, she walked over to the door and flicked off the big light, before rummaging around her room and turning on a few lamps and strings of fairy lights as a substitute.
"Oh, Hermione, I got these for your parents", Luna reached into her sleeping bag and pulled out a flower shaped velvet box, with a smile. She held them out for Hermione to grab, but instead Ginny leaned over and took them from her, "Sweet, these are the fancy ones aren't they?".
"Oh yes, my mother used to love them", she smiled, thinking wistfully.
Y/n reached into the box, placed in the middle of them all, and picked a small milk chocolate in the shape of a leaf and popped it into her mouth, the others did the same, besides Luna.
"Well, I suppose they won't mind will they, I'll just have one", Hermione reasoned, her attitude more relaxed and rule breaking as the night went on. "Luna?"
"Oh, no thank you", she shook her head, her bright hair swinging, "Daddy says chocolate should be saved for when you're sad, and I'm feeling rather pleasant at the moment".
A box of chocolate later, Y/n reached into her back pocket and retrieved a brightly coloured packet of little sweets, round in shape.
"SOUR SIZZLERS! No way where did you find them?", Ginny's eyes widened considerably, "I remember Charlie used to bring those home, his friends dad was the one who invented them, could never eat more than one though. My favourites are the red ones". Y/n dipped her fingers into the yellow packet and pulled out a red one and threw it at Ginny. She also threw a green one at Hermione, a purple one for Luna, and kept an orange one for herself.
The blondie happily accepted it and placed it welcomingly into her mouth, her expression remained blank as three other faces were glued onto hers in anticipation.
"Bloody hell Luna", Ginny piped up, screwing her face dramatically at her own sweet.
"Well?", Y/n asked, carefully licking hers like a kitten lapping milk.
Luna swallowed, sticking out her purple tongue and said, "Yes, its quite sour isn't it?", completely unfazed.
"Great she is", Ginny laughed, nudging her shoulder in the direction of the girl. Giggles filled the small bedroom from all directions, faces skewed in disgust and tartness from the confectionary. Hermione spat hers out into a tissue and dropped it into the bin, and walked over to her bed and squeezed between them, wrapping her arms around the pair, calling out for Y/n to join, and so she did, piled up onto their laps.
Before they knew it, cushions were scooped up, thrown, and scattered across the floor. They jumped, they ran, they hid, and they giggled. Thumps and thuds were mingled between the squeals from their pillow fight. Even teddies were flying through the air, until Y/n slipped on the chocolate box lost on the floor under blankets and pillows, embracing the carpet with a big old bang and an eruption of uncontrollable tears of laughter.
"Blimey! She went down faster than a sack of Hagrid's rock cakes", Ginny cried.

Lockwood and Co. show notes
the parts in different colours are important (link to part 2) and my thoughts on the first two books.
episode one
love the opening shots on their gear before we see them
his smirk. music in the kitchen is so nice.
the angry biscuit munch.
the only other person who calls Lucy "Luce" is Norrie I think.
I love how we get to see the past and care about Lucy leaving. (although I would have loved it if we had reference to Lucy's sisters as well there could be a huge age difference between the two or something)
So with Ghost Touch being a bigger deal in the show makes a lot of sense because it is a medical emergency and in the books we do see people die from this and of course people ending up in a coma makes it a little more interesting because coma and it could be explained by who has Talents? Joe explain yourself.
love the fail montage (funny thing I was reading Hollow Boy at this point and shoved my book pouch to the side to show Lockwood and sister picked it up and compared the illustration to show Lockwood and just wondered at it)
biscuit cronch and say hi to the skull. Love how gleeful George was about the gunshots
I love the way Ruby Stokes said "no" in response to the Beck question
Lucy wanna fight. tour music is great and i love the framed newspaper.
love the little skip at the bottom of the stairs
little smile over the unlocking of the door.
Lockwood's face when she asked him about the advert. love how earnest he is
Lockwoods fighting is so good. That picture frame is so well made
love the entire exchange of Lockwood taunting the ghost
hugs and jump
episode two
i love this bit floating inbetween bit
Lockwood's "my partner" and her reaction to calling him that is so funny (so is the nurses's)
I love the Annie theme
I love the argument.
the smile when he comes in "unicorns or rainbows" George internally is 100% going "oh Lucy yells at me but she's not going to yell at him"
"it's our USP" Earnest Lockwood is favourite
was the hand grab needed to wake Lockwood up?
I wanna set tour so bad
I love the fight... I love the little birds on the window
Goerge loves a mystery. Hand flex and smile. I love communing with Annie (lost in translation "my lord")
"by firing Lucy Carlyle" i love Lockwoods worry at Barnes asking to get rid of Lucy
amazing deduction no other possible person playing hamlet.
"you need a ladder" love this line
love this bonding session with George although the question "dreamed of coming to London with" feels like there should have been an interaction before?
George calling out Lockwood for naming Lucy in the news (and Lucy eavesdropping)
love the training session
Barnes is a little shit and I love him though something needed to be done to set this scene up better
I love this bit between Lockwood and Lucy its so well acted and i love the music
love this fight and swong (a forest by the cure) sword chains and umbrella
I love their reactions to revealing the necklace and the censorship.
episode three
i love the delivery of "see a man about a ghost"
why so intense an eye contact in the elevator? (sister is wondering where they found the silvertongue to get Lockwood out of the book whilst holding Hollow Boy again)
how loud are Lockwood and George yelling?
I want to know all about Ellie
missing scene: how they find their house after DEPRAC breaks in the door (+ what DEPRAC finds)
love the delivery of "looks like blood"
thoughts: should have put the screaming in the screaming staircase (the chanting works but when we hear the word screaming we think of screaming)
like that the both save her from the well
love the sparkles as the grenade goes down the well
the goggles are great. I love the show of Annie's ring flying through the air as her ghost emerges.
love Penelopes coat
and Lockwoods ring (sister: love George's sticky fingers when he gets displeased)
missing scene: when did the certificate come up? he mentioned it happend in the van but how would that have happened without Lucy noticing?
episode four
the glass on the side was that warm Ribena but you know no longer warm? who wrote the notes?
love the little fish thing in the kitchen
I adore this exchange and George's "you good Lockwood?"
"do you remember us carrying you?" always have this in my mind "to me to you to me to you" but I must wonder how they carried her there is a few stairs between the basement and the attic
again love this bit and hype up Lucy time.
Flo reference
where's the uniform? considering how annoying the three are good thing there is no way to identify them properly? or nah? also the discreet part will never not be hilarious
"no backbone" love that coming from the older man who can't see ghosts and has to rely on kids then to say that about them
Lockwood "I'll protect you" show (not sure where I was in the Hollow Boy at this point but "come off it Luce you know I'd die for you" pipeline)
the bone glass design is really nice. I love how taken aback Lockwood as seeing the bullet wound
Bickerstaff looking imposing was something they did well. and the music when Lucy springs to action (after having a startling realisation)
I love this bit with the skull how soft it says "oh you can hear me"
Love George and his delivery of "is it talking to you know?" is so funny.
missing moment: "would never bollock [lucy] like this" feels like there is a lot more context there
also imagine if at the end of the fight (just so Lockwood barely hears it) Lucy mutters to herself "should be used to people not listening to me" and it comes up much later (angst what can i say)
cosy quilt. and love this little moment of Lockwood approaching the landing door and touching it then nodding
this would have been a great time for her to bring up Jacobs/ her mum but Lockwood needed his moment to share a little of his pain as well so I'm not mad. also the focus on their hands is so cute.
"I'm not sure what i should" Lmao Lockwood
I wonder what George would have said if he were there?
How long was Barnes standing there and George being startled is so funny.
love this little contest between Bobby and George
I love Barnes telling the two groups to back each other up and in the last episode they finally do it
love the delivery of "walking appendix"
random funny thing: "not filling out more forms" why is that lockwood? hmm... also in the credits there are listings for the ghost performers but i didn't get a chance to properly look

TWP word of the day prompt: letter
Okaaaaaay, I finally finished one of these on the day the prompt is released. No official warnings but this fic definitely talks about unhappy teenage Carlos, so, yeah.
💜💜💜💜
“Hey, thanks for giving up your day off to come help me clean out mom and dad’s attic,” Carlos says. He wraps an arm around TK’s lower back and reels him in.
TK laughs and gives Carlos a chaste kiss; they were still in the Reyes’ kitchen, after all. “No problem, babe.” He grabs a cookie off the cooling rack, “Especially if it involves your mom’s cookies, you know I’ll be there.”
“You know that’s the same recipe I use when I make cookies,” Carlos points out.
“Yeah, but…” TK shrugs and grabs another cookie off the rack, shifting the remaining cookies to fill the gap.
“Sneaky,” Carlos mutters. “Wait, is that why it always looks like-”
TK laughs again and hurries back up the stairs with Carlos at his heels.
They spend a bit organizing the stuff that had accumulated through the years Andrea and Gabriel had lived at the house. They were thinking about moving and definitely wanted to downsize- and they were starting by getting all the junk out of the house.
“What’s this one?” TK asks, holding up the dusty box with Carlos’ name scrawled on the side in Gabriel’s handwriting.
“I don’t know,” Carlos says. “I haven’t seen it in ten years. But we can take it with us we don’t have to open it-” He wasn’t even half finished with his sentence when TK sits on the ground with the box between his legs, peeling off the tape. “Okay, I guess we’re opening it,” he mutters. He joins TK on the floor as TK pulls out his high school letterman’s jacket.
“Oh my gosh,” TK holds it up. “Try it on?”
“It’s not going to fit,” Carlos grumbles, snatching the jacket. “And anyway, I played one game my senior year before I got hurt and had to sit on the sidelines the rest of the season, so…”
“What about this?” TK reaches into the box and pulls out a small pin and certificate, indicating Carlos had been on the team for the school’s Quiz Bowl. “How did I not know you were a jock and a nerd?”
Carlos takes the items from him and places them on top of the jacket. “I was an alternate,” he says softly, “I never actually got to compete.”
TK’s already rummaging through the box again, and he comes up with a framed picture of Carlos with Iris at his senior prom.
“Okay, but you two really were cute,” TK says. Carlos nods and moves the box aside.
“High school was not the best time for me,” Carlos says, although he knows TK knows that already.
“I mean, was it good for anyone?”
Carlos silently starts stuffing things in the box. TK wordlessly hands over the frame and a small envelope floats to the floor between them. Carlos doesn’t recognize it and hesitates for a split second before he reaches for it and slips his thumb under the flap, tearing it open. He reads it and huffs out a small, bitter laugh, stuffing the paper back in the envelope.
“What’s that?”
“It was this thing we had to do where we wrote a letter to ourselves ten years in the future.”
TK shakes his head. “That sounds like a ridiculous assignment.”
“It was! I was so unhappy in high school, you know?” TK takes Carlos’ hand in his as Carlos talks. “It was like everything was just out of reach, I wasn’t good enough for anything. And when I came out to my family everything just fell apart.”
“Carlos, baby, I-”
“And then we had to write these stupid letters to our future selves with our dreams and goals and what we hoped we’d have achieved by then and-” Carlos lets out a heavy sigh.
“Carlos, you don’t know how wonderful you are to so many people. You’re a great husband, you’re amazing at your job, you’re a good friend to everyone. You’ve saved lives - including mine - and I’m sure you’ve accomplished so much more than your high school self could have ever imagined.”
Carlos shakes his head and hands TK the envelope. TK reads the short note and glances from the letter to Carlos and back again.
“That’s your entire letter to your future self? Just one thing?”
“It was.”
“Well,” he starts, “are you as happy as teenage Carlos hoped you’d be?”
Carlos smiles and nods. “It might have taken a little longer than ten years to get here. But yes. And you were worth waiting for.”

12 - CUBICLE
I have a new psychiatrist. This one is a short, stocky white man with a u-shaped bald spot who practices in a cubicle.
The walls are fabric-covered wood laminate in an institutional gray and only come up to my forehead. The gap between the top of the cubicle wall and the ceiling of the room is big enough for all my secrets to fit through.
It doesn’t strike me as very confidential.
I didn’t have any feelings about it when my outreach coordinator at the asylum (excuse me, hospital) handed me a card and said they’d found me someone new to see. I also didn’t ask why I needed someone new.
The route to my new psychiatrist’s office takes me past Aspen Street and First Avenue. When I finally let myself look up, the black tendrils of shadow have completely disappeared from the window where my old psychiatrist practiced. I’m not sure what it means, but I know that it’s never been a good thing.
I think about my dad and Hank and… other things that only come in flashes.
There aren’t any dead animal heads mounted on the makeshift walls. He has a line of diplomas and certificates framed behind his desk and the rest of the blandly gray space is covered in small, white floating shelves.
I’ve never had cause to wonder if the dead soulless eyes of taxidermied animals or collectible dolls were creepier, but it’s suddenly become relevant.
Because my new psychiatrist collects Precious Moments figurines.
They stare at me with their big, pathetic porcelain eyes.
There are so many fucking figurines.
There are too many fucking eyes.

Floating Photo Frames: A Modern Aesthetic
A floating photo frame is an innovative way to display artwork, photographs, and prints with a sleek, contemporary look. Unlike traditional frames that enclose a picture with matting or borders, floating frames create an illusion that the artwork is suspended within the frame, giving it a sophisticated and eye-catching appeal.
Imaging Canvas takes pride in offering high-quality floating photo frames that bring out the true essence of any picture. Whether you want to frame family portraits, artwork, or professional photography, our frames provide a unique touch that blends seamlessly with modern decor. Our frames come in various sizes, materials, and finishes, ensuring that every piece is perfectly accentuated.
Some key benefits of floating photo frames include:
Modern and Stylish Design: Enhances any decor with its minimalistic appeal.
Versatility: Perfect for framing paintings, photographs, and posters.
Durability: Made from high-quality materials to ensure longevity.
Customizable Options: Available in different styles, sizes, and colors to suit various preferences.
Mount Photo Frames: Classic Elegance & Protection
While floating frames provide a contemporary touch, mount photo frames offer a more traditional and elegant way to display your pictures. A mounted photo frame consists of a backing board with a cut-out window, also known as a mat, that surrounds the image. This not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the picture but also provides extra protection from dust, moisture, and other environmental factors.
At Imaging Canvas, we understand the significance of a well-mounted frame. Our collection of mount photo frames is crafted with precision to enhance the depth and texture of your artwork or photographs. Whether you are framing a vintage print, a wedding portrait, or a prized certificate, our mounting techniques add a professional and polished look.
Some advantages of choosing mount photo frames from Imaging Canvas include:
Enhanced Visual Appeal: Creates a layered effect that adds depth to the picture.
Protective Layering: Prevents direct contact between the glass and the artwork.
Acid-Free Materials: Ensures longevity by preventing discoloration and damage.
Custom Framing Services: Allows customers to choose their preferred style and size.

Enhance Your Space with Acrylic Photo Frames and Prints: A Modern Take on Timeless Memories
In a world where every moment is captured and shared instantly, displaying these memories in a unique and visually striking manner has become essential. Acrylic photo frames and acrylic prints offer a contemporary and elegant solution, transforming ordinary photos into stunning pieces of art that can elevate any space. Whether you're looking to preserve cherished memories or add a modern touch to your home or office, acrylic frames and prints provide an ideal medium.
What Are Acrylic Photo Frames and Prints?
acrylic photo frame are sleek and stylish frames made from clear, durable acrylic, designed to showcase photos with a modern flair. Unlike traditional glass frames, acrylic frames offer superior clarity and are less prone to breakage, making them an excellent choice for both home and commercial use. The transparent nature of acrylic gives the photo a floating effect, adding depth and dimension that captures the viewer's attention.
Acrylic prints, on the other hand, are images printed directly onto acrylic sheets, creating a vibrant and glossy finish. This method enhances the colors and sharpness of the photo, giving it a professional and polished appearance. Acrylic prints are particularly popular for displaying landscape photography, abstract art, or any image where you want to make a bold statement.
Advantages of Acrylic Photo Frames and Prints
Durability and Longevity Acrylic is known for its strength and resilience. Unlike traditional glass, which can shatter easily, acrylic is impact-resistant and can withstand knocks and falls without damage. This durability ensures that your photos remain protected for years to come.
Enhanced Visual Appeal The glossy finish of acrylic prints adds a layer of sophistication to your photos. The material's transparency allows light to pass through, creating a luminous effect that makes the colors pop and adds depth to the image. This is particularly effective in spaces with good natural or artificial lighting.
Lightweight and Easy to Handle Despite its strength, acrylic is remarkably lightweight compared to glass. This makes acrylic photo frames easier to hang, move, and display without the risk of them being too heavy for certain surfaces.
Customizable Options Acrylic Print and frames come in various sizes and thicknesses, allowing you to customize your display according to your preferences. Whether you want a small, intimate photo frame for your desk or a large, statement piece for your living room, acrylic offers flexibility in design.
Modern Aesthetic The clean lines and sleek design of acrylic photo frames and prints lend a modern and minimalist aesthetic to any space. They seamlessly blend with contemporary decor, making them a favorite choice among interior designers and homeowners alike.
Applications of Acrylic Photo Frames and Prints
Acrylic photo frames and prints are versatile and can be used in various settings:
Home Decor: Whether it’s family photos, vacation memories, or abstract art, acrylic prints add a touch of elegance and personalization to your living spaces.
Office Spaces: Acrylic frames are ideal for displaying company achievements, certificates, or inspirational quotes in a professional setting.
Galleries and Exhibitions: The high-gloss finish and durability of acrylic prints make them a popular choice for art exhibitions and gallery displays.
Gifts: Personalized acrylic photo frames and prints make thoughtful and unique gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
Caring for Your Acrylic Photo Frames and Prints
To maintain the pristine appearance of your acrylic photo frames and prints, it’s essential to follow some simple care tips:
Cleaning: Use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe the surface of the acrylic. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can scratch the surface.
Placement: While acrylic is durable, it’s best to avoid placing your frames or prints in direct sunlight for extended periods, as prolonged exposure can cause slight fading over time.
Handling: Handle acrylic prints and frames with care to avoid fingerprints or smudges. If you need to move them, make sure to support the frame properly to prevent bending or warping.
