Here Crowley says 'time to leave the garden,' like God had said 'the story ends as it began - in a garden,' not just referring to Adam young. The Garden of Eden represented their responsibilities as angel and demon, especially their very first responsibilities. Leaving the garden means leaving it all behind.

When they met in Berkeley Square, they met no longer as angel or demon but as lovers, 'the first meeting of two lovers in Berkeley Square.'

Was always worried about the angst of unrequited love, had never realized the sheer amount of comedic potential that it has.

Imagine one-sided Superbat where Clark is fully aware that Bruce has a crush on him but is being his repressed self about it, and Clark is just like, “I’m not gonna touch that :) you’re going to figure that out for yourself, buddy, and in the meantime, I’m just going to have a good time and be best friends with you as you inevitably pull yourself together enough to either fall out of love or to confess :) and I’ll just let you down gently because I care about you :)” but he absolutely 100% is using it to his advantage in the meantime. His puppy dog eyes had never been so effective before. He’s gotten out of Monitor Duty three times in the past month.

#altho tbh personally if *I* were writing this all out I WOULD make requited superabt endgame #because it’s more fun #like clark is slowly falling in love with bruce while bruce is slowly coming to terms with being in love with clark #like bruce fell both faster and harder because. have u seen clark. who wouldn’t fold #meanwhile the justice league tease the shit out of bruce #and i picture clark as being a hell of a good actor because he HAS to be for his identity to work even more so than bruce or anyone else #so he’s very much able to keep his own feelings quiet when he realizes that he’s returning bruce’s love #and hey maybe u CAN bring the angst full circle back into this premise #like 1) clark believes somehow that people will inevitably fall out of love w him and that includes bruce #and 2) bruce when he finally figures out his own feelings for clark (way later than everyone else figured out him) probs realizes that clark #knew this whole damn time and didn’t say a word. and bruce is both justifiably mortified and falsely certain that clark does not return his #feelings because he’d have said smth by now if he did #even tho atp i would have clark return his feelings #also if u don’t believe clark wouldn’t 100% be a little shit about bruce’s feelings may i just present #literally everything he’s done to lois ever in every superman canon ever #<- i’m not saying that like he bullies lois or would bully bruce in this fic premise bc they both give it as good as they’ve got #and they very much pull a lot over clark so it all evens out or even falls in the other’s favor more often than not #anyway. yeah that’s my one (1) superbat fic premise.#part of the reason why i LOOOVE superbat and clois but haven’t written jackshit for either of them yet is that #i feel like there’s sooooooo many fics for both of them that i could not explore smth new with them ykwim #er well in the case of lois not just fics but like sooo many clois canons with their own takes and exploratons #superbat #superman #clark kent #batman #bruce wayne #simu's two cents #dc #also i wouldn’t touch the batkids with a ten foot pole.

Okay okay so! Yes! I am working on a FNaF anniversary piece, but it’s taking WAY longer than I had hoped (currently at 100+ hours ohh my gosh), so the best I can offer right now is a li’l sneak peek! Here are the FNaF 1-4 sections of the drawing, just to share a little bit of what I have planned ;)

This is the drawing only 1/3 of the way complete, so in the meantime, check out my art for the 7th, 8th, and 9th anniversaries!

This series has meant the world to me over the past nine and a half years, and I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am without it. I can’t wait to show you guys the final drawing!

if we assume that each of the three pillars comes exactly three times for a total of nine times, and we know that the 7th time it was the 40-year guardian, and if we assume that was her final visit and the last two visits will be split between the 30-year guardian and the 8-year guardian, we can calculate how long ago the miharu family made that deal: (40x3)+(30x2)+(8x2)=196 years. 196 years ago it was 1828, but i think this is supposed to be set in the 1980s or 90s, so call it the late 1700s. that's the kind of thing matoba as the head of the matoba clan has to concern himself with - deals with youkai made by people 200 years ago from families that don't even exist anymore. it's an interesting contrast to the thing he says to natsume at the end of this arc, about the 9th visit, which is 30 years away, being someone else's problem. he's embroiled in the past but doesn't even think he'll get to have a future.

#however i don't think we can assume either 1) that each of the 3 pillars comes exactly 3 times #or 2) that the 7th visit was the 40-year guardian's final visit #based on the end of the arc when natsume asks who will come for the final visit and specifically asks if it will be #the 40-year guardian again. and matoba is just like idk not my problem #if they each come 3x then he should be able to predict which it will be for the 9th visit by process of elimination #(unless the miharu records are missing or something)#and if the 40-year guardian has already done all her tours then matoba should at least be able to say it won't be her. and he doesn't #but i still think 196 is a reasonable ballpark just because we know there have been 7 out of 9 visits #and they're splitting it between them in some way even if not perfectly equally #natsume's book of friends #natsume yuujinchou #matoba seiji #natsuyuu meta #miharu loquats arc #my posts #i think the only assumption we can safely make is that it's never the same guardian two times in a row #i guess the lower bound would be if the 8-year guardian and the 30-year guardian took turns for the first 6 visits #that would be (8x3)+(30x3)+40=154 years #and the upper bound would be if the 40-year guardian started and then switched off with the 30-year guardian up to visit 7 #that would be (40x4)+(30x3)=250 years #both of which seem highly unlikely. so the reality has to be between those two extremes and 196 seems pretty reasonable #and in any case even if it was only 154 years ago...that's still a really long time ago
