I think it's really interesting that as a fandom for DP&W (specifically in fanfic) that we collectively decided that OG Wolverine is currently dead when Worst Wolvie comes to the universe when that's just.. wrong. (It's not y'all's fault the timeline makes no sense in that movie though)

Logan takes place in 2029 while DP&W is set in 2024. Paradox himself even says 'Logan's death sent ripples down the timeline' and DP definitely uses one of their iPad thingies to travel through time to get to Logan's bones.

I mean it's certainly more convienient (and would actually make more sense) that OG Logan would be dead. But I really wish there were more fics that explored other options.

Because Option A.) OG Wolverine is still alive, meets Worst Wolvie and DP and is utterly confused and borderline disgusted that his alternative self and Deadpool are fucking dating. I just think it would be hilarious to see him react to DP and Worst Wolvie's relationship. It would also be funny And angsty to see Worst Wolvie react to OG Wolvie. I think it would make him feel so much worse about what happened in his universe (This Wolverine is a hero, why couldn't he be?). I could also see a lot of jealousy happening because Wade obviously hero worships his Universe's Wolverine, and maybe Worst Wolvie thinks he's just a replacement or a substitute for the Wolverine Wade can't have but actually wants (although this is definitely not true).

Option B.) Would be having Worst Wolverine *replace* the current Wolverine. This doesn't make a lot of sense with in universe rules but here me out. OG Wolvie disappears when Worst Wolvie enters their timeline. The X-Men beg Worst Wolverine to become an X-Men, to rejoin their team since it's technically his fault they're missing their Wolverine. But Worst Wolvie would struggle so much with that, would probably refuse and want to stay with Wade. He would probably be scared to rejoin them, terrified of repeating history and not being able to protect them again. He would also feel so guilty saying no, though, because clearly this Universe's Wolverine was a hero, someone everyone looked up to and needed, and Worst Wolvie views himself as a failure, a monster. He can't live up to that AND his precense got rid of their Wolverine. It would be so angsty and just *mwah*.

I want to write some fics with these concepts but I just wanted to put this out here because I really want to hear what other's thoughts are or maybe encourage people to write some fics of their own based on this because I would love to read them! Or if anyone does have any fics where OG Wolverine isn't dead post DP&W please link me them so I can read them!

anyways. dean and victorian lady cas. time travel shenanigans. dean gets thrown back in time for plot reasons. he's stuck there for a while before his cas can find him and bring him home. lady cas is SO grumpy. does not believe a word dean says about what they are to each other in the future. dean is like, "look into my memories, then." cas does. and she is stubborn on the outside. still refuses to believe. (inside she is SO confused. doubting. curious. afraid). obvs she poofs off to somewhere for a bit to Process. dean is left in a field like, "ok i guess i'll just wait here." she eventually comes back and... starts to thaw. i mean dean IS beautiful. and she can SEE his soul. and it's so bright and good. and then...she sees the handprint AND the mark on his soul...recognizes her own grace there and that's what really convinces her. and it's SO much. she feels SO much. his smile makes her cheeks warm. she has to avert her eyes. the way he sticks his tongue between his teeth, teasing. the way he reaches for her hand, gentlemanly, as they get out of a carriage (and ohh how she loathes these human modes of transportation. and she tells him. and he laughs. big and bright and says "yup same old cas.") and he slings his arm around her when they both get tipsy. and he compliments her dress and plays with her hair. and when he looks away she can't stop looking at his profile. and when he looks back she pretends she wasn't. but he knows. and his eyes crinkle and she can't stand it. and maybe akobel was right...these humans are beautiful creatures worth loving. and oh it feels so dangerous when she finally reaches for him, pulls him close. but mindful of her vessel they don't kiss. they can't. so later she appears in his dreams, and they can have it all. and it's so thrilling. and he's so beautiful, beneath her, looking up with stars in his eyes. looking at her with such adoration. and oh god, oh god, she loves him. but she'll forget all this soon enough....

Thinking of those stories of innocent, oblivious employees of those advertising call companies accidentally calling sensitive/confidential government numbers.

Thinking of one of those employees, fresh off a too-short lunch, calling the next one in their list. As soon as the call picks up, they launch into their scripted spiel.

Not even halfway through, a rough voice demands, “how did you get this number?”

They start to say their canned response - this isn’t the first time some overworked person has been annoyed at their call.

��No, how did you GET it? You shouldn’t have this number. This is a confidential SAS line.”

And the poor caller, in a fit of horror and confusion, blurts, “please hold” and smashes the button.

Stares at the line for a solid five minutes, blinking spots from their vision. Then trudges to the managers office because THERES NO PROTOCOL FOR THIS.

Except by the time they sort it all out, there’s a huge buff soldier at their call center, with an entire time along with him, demanding to speak to them.

Thusly, they meet Captain John Price who should NOT be so endeared by their blushing apologies that they “panicked, I’m so sorry sir, this has never happened before, I’ve only worked here a few months, PLEASE don’t arrest me.”

And, through the power of accidental cuteness, the employee secured themselves a military sugar daddy 😌

Valgrace fic idea #1 that I’m probably not going to write (feat. some minor-ish pipeyna)

Context: at the pride parade I went to someone gave me a folded note that said “give this to a person you think looks cute” and before I could really see/register what was happening they’d already dipped (strategy I also used to pass on the note lmao A+ way to give a compliment as a shy person and make someone’s day without actively hitting on them)

Anyway Piper and Leo are at their first pride together and Leo gets the note and uses the same strategy to pass it on to Jason and bolt

They don’t know each other at that point, Leo also didn’t feel like his flirting has actually worked very well for him lately so he’s like “eh I’ll just make this person’s day and move on with my life”

And then Piper pauses and stares at Jason and is like “hang on I think this is my comphet summer camp ex from last year”

So now she’s curious and wants to go say “hi” and Leo is sweating because what if the guy realizes he was the one who gave him the note

Piper tells him it’s fine she doesn’t necessarily have to say hi if Leo is too uncomfortable but at that point Jason’s already spotted her and drawn the same conclusion and is dragging Reyna over to them (Reyna gone at least once before and she’s carrying this huge ace flag and Jason just accompanied her as an ally because he didn’t know he was also queer at the time)

And Piper is there with her little sapphic flag sew-on patch and Jason has a gay flag painted on his cheek and they just look at each other and burst out laughing because “you too huh” and then just chat for a bit because “what are the chances” and kind of regretting the fact that they didn’t stay in contact after camp ended

And Leo thinks he’s gonna get away with the note but then Jason looks at him and goes “oh hang on you’re the one who gave me that note!” And Leo freezes and starts nervously chuckling all “yeah can we please not make a big deal out of that I just thought-”

But Jason goes on to say “I think you gave it to me by mistake since we didn’t even know each other. Don’t worry I didn’t open it, here I’ll give it back” and Leo is absolutely dying inside

But then Piper tells him to open it and Jason asks Leo if it’s okay for him to and then he does and his face splits into a huge grin and he says “I think I’ll give it back anyway”

And Piper bursts out laughing because “he did not have that much game when we were dating”

Anyway they exchange numbers. Jason invites Leo to grab some coffee (cocoa because Leo doesn’t like coffee) afterwards and Reyna and Piper look at each other all “I can’t believe they ditched us” but then they decide maybe they can go grab coffee too and actually maybe they’re not too mad about this :)

Piper gives Leo shit about the fact that he ditched her for her ex for years despite the fact that she got a girlfriend out of it

But then you have this poor bot stuck with the sparkbond because their ex keeps vindictively prodding at them through the bond so it doesn't fade. Like getting terrible text messages from your ex a decade later.

Sex epics breed sex epics part three, this time assisted by discussion elsewhere of getting Garak pregnant:

Imagine Garak gets pregnant by Procal Dukat.

I think you have to fudge the timeline somewhat for this to work--imagine that the Procal Dukat thing is the very last thing Garak works on before being exiled, and that he's not exiled that long before the Federation shows up. He's assigned to take down Procal, does so via sex, has a failure of birth control.

Except Garak's not especially in touch with his body at this point in time. He's doing a lot of sleeping with powerful men which is very much something he's dissociating for, especially as he's having (heavily suppressed) doubts about whether what he's doing is best for Cardassia. (I think he was having heavily suppressed doubts about that well before he was exiled; look how quickly he jumps to letting Natima Lang go.) So he's very, very dissociated... and now he's pregnant.

He's not in the field at the moment, because wrapping up a case takes time even when the verdict is decided before the trial. So he's doing the post-mission reports and formal interrogations and testifying, and partway into that the hormones kick in and his libido goes wild. Not everting at the drop of a hat starts to take conscious effort. He's seeking out casual sex as often as he can get away with it, which isn't as often as he'd like, and in general the feelings coming from his ajan are incredibly distracting all the time, which is a problem when you're in the middle of Order headquarters and he's desperately trying to suppress and ignore and not always succeeding.

Then he starts feeling hungry all the time, which again, he doesn't notice much but he does instinctively keep concealed from his colleagues just because it will look weird if he's eating constantly. But when he's alone he's eating constantly and having cravings. By this point the paperwork is out of the way and the trial is starting and Garak is still on hand for that but his actual involvement is less, so he has a fair amount of free time to be sneaking food.

He only realizes this is becoming a problem the first time he has trouble fastening his pants, which freaks him out and while he uses his tailoring skills to let out his clothes and starts dressing to hide what is becoming a visible bump, he also gets fully on board the diet-and-exercise train. Exercise is far more tiring than it should be and he is far more tired than he should be in general. He blames this on his weight. The dieting fails entirely because his cravings are too strong and he's too hungry. As his bump starts to get bigger, his bladder capacity starts going down. This does nothing whatever to help his now-panicking mental state--he's an agent who has lost control of his body, who is developing a paunch, and now needs the toilet a lot. (Which requires active effort to conceal, and is difficult.) He's starting to get chills all the time. He has no idea what's going on but he's sure it's his fault and it doesn't seem to be stopping no matter how hard he tries to diet and exercise it away (and he doesn't have enough self-control to manage dieting anyway, this is another example of not being good enough...), and his capacity for exercise also seems to be going down.

But he's trying to act as if everything's normal, so he doesn't say anything when he gets sent out on another seduce-someone mission... and this is when the morning sickness kicks in and he throws up while in the process of seducing, which angers the powerful man he's supposed to be sleeping with and ruins the mission.

Which means Tain is now aware, and is furious not just that Garak got pregnant but that Garak hid it for so long. Tain picks Terok Nor as Garak's place of exile specifically because Dukat is there, to rub "the man who had your father killed is now carrying your father's baby" in Dukat's face. Dukat can't kill Garak both because it would incur Tain's wrath and because blood-family matters to Cardassians and no matter how he hates Garak that's his half-brother Garak is carrying. But Dukat can certainly go out of his way to make Garak even more miserable than he already is--and from a purely physical standpoint, Garak is now very miserable, especially as his baby bump keeps getting bigger. (He winds up with a Bajoran assistant or two simply because he needs someone to do the bending-over parts of the job like measuring that he now can't. As jobs on Terok Nor go it's probably the absolute the least hazardous; Garak actually needs his assistant and therefore treats her pretty well-- I like the idea of this as a canon character; maybe he plucks Leeta out of the workers, or realizes Jabara, in among the general worker pool, has medical training everyone has overlooked and that this would be a useful skill in an assistant for a man in his condition. And given what Garak was, even with his disgrace none of the other Cardassians are going to go after his assistants.)

He's also having wild mood swings, between the way his body his changing, the awareness that he is carrying another living being, the fact that conceiving the baby was not precisely consensual on his part, and the fact that he had the baby's father killed... and also the fact that family is the most important Cardassian thing and he is going to have a child and he never thought having a family, living up to that particular Cardassian ideal, would be an option. So he's not exactly doing well. (His Bajoran assistants are bewildered by the entire thing; this is their first exposure to "Cardassian men can get pregnant" to begin with.)

The Federation shows up when he's fairly heavily pregnant but still has some months to go. His flirting with Julian is considerably heavier-handed at the outset because his libido is still going crazy. He still gets Julian involved with the Duras sisters in part because he wants to prove himself useful to the Federation since getting kicked off the station would be even more of a disaster for him here than in canon. Given that Garak is coming on to Julian way harder here and is also giving off that needy vibe that is catnip to Julian, they wind up in bed fairly early on-- between book club and Julian trying to force Garak into medical care, they spend a lot of time together, and then Garak is hit really hard by the aphasia virus and almost dies from the strain on his system, has a long recovery during which the only doctor he'll sort of tolerate is Julian, and they wind up in bed in the aftermath. ("The Passenger" winds up being viscerally upsetting for Garak, not that he'll admit it, just because he's starting to rely on Julian and now Julian went and got taken over by brain parasite. Garak has even wilder mood swings in the aftermath of that.)

Most of the episode-specific plots in the first season don't really change much, but then Garak goes into labor halfway through season one and that probably does change some things (in particular the advent of the baby leads to Julian and Garak getting serious a lot faster than is probably wise), although now we're getting far enough afield that I'd want to see how actually writing it played out before making speculations.

The old friend you've missed is now two strangers, but you want that friend back badly enough to choose to rekindle the relationship using the bits and pieces the two strangers seem to recall. You make new friends, here- and you tell yourself that that's fine, and you're happy now, with two friends and that sense of familiarity and comfort this place fills you with. But nothing seems to fill the void that's eating you from the inside. And while you know you just need to choose to be happier, things keep getting stranger- soon your new friends are acting even odder than before, and you're not sure how to help them. And what's with that new security guard and her weird mask, anyway?

When you have some hours traveling and spend it furiously writing a fix-it fic outline out of pure spite. The show tried to say ‘no open ending here’ I’ll be the judge of that.

Story deviates at the diner of Fives where the Five tallying apocalypses picks up on something different about this new Five.

Proceeds to follow him back/intervene and screws that entire suicide plan. (These two versions of Five exist for the duration of the story and frequently clash.)

Proceeds to take them back in time to the start of s4 and explains things like how Five got into the CIA (thanks to Abigail behind the scenes, Five didn’t question how that was so easy for him because of ego lol) and all the other things he should have realized.

Explains how Five started taking pills (like Viktor in s1/Reggie in s3) to deal with how lost he felt, thus explaining his entire extremely mellow s4 attitude. This leads to Viktor picking up/discovering this and confronting him.

Explores WHY Luther went into stripping because he was finally comfortable about his body, gives him back his depth.

Explores how Five tried to find Sloane with his connections but since that’s grown cold Diego steps in when Luther mentions it because screw you, Five and your fancy CIA bs (after possibly reuniting with Patch to help, because I said so)

Explores Ray leaving Allison after he started struggling with the new timeline and joined the Keepers, which alt!Five discovers and alerts Allison.

Klaus gets an entirely different journey once alt!Five gets involved.

Explains why the squid and gives Jennifer an actual character.

Some other bits are still getting worked but I’ve got it solved. Anyway this is happening. I’ll post the first snippet once I’ve got that down to gauge interest tyvm.

-A fic where Kevin's Alien species is actually delved upon and explained (Planet of origin, anatomy, customs, culture, etc) I HATE aggregor's design, is so plain!!! Osmosians are supposed to be this sort of alien chameleons (Or leeches, depends how you look at it) that can absorb and replicate ANY KIND OF MATERIAL and ANY KIND OF ALIEN SPECIES despite not being related to them in the slightest, is SUCH A COOL POWER, I love it!!! But we get so little about them ahhh-!!!

-Another fic where Kevin actually learns to control the (Murderous) side effects of absorbing too much energy, if he's a beast as Kevin 11 how much more stronger could have he been if he idk, reached some sort of 'Alien maturity' as in, only the young Osmosians go crazy and need to train in mind and body as to not go insane from absorbing too much energy or simply training his ass off until he overcomes the drawbacks of his own power.

-Lancelot, instead of becoming a Knight AT ALL, becomes the Lady of the Lake in place of his Mother (Who is canonically bound to the place, cannot die and cannot leave), not in a 'She never was' but actually he became her successor instead, (The reason could be anything, she fell so deeply in love she wanted to grow old with them, she sustained an incurable illness or a fatal injury and someone HAD to take her place or the magic forest and everything living in it DIES, you name it), Galahad is still his Son (Adopted or blood related, neither is fine).

Lancelot has a similar personality to Shadow (As in, he never developed the loyalty he had towards the crown, Arthur, NOR the knightly ways) and is instead, somewhat a 'King' or Royalty in his own right over the Fae and on a moraly grey area in his nature as a Fey with Galahad (AND MARIA'S SABTK COUNTERPART) being the last link to the mortality he once had.

AND PRINCE ARTHUR IS INFATUATED WITH THE GUARDIAN OF THE LAKE, He Looooves pestering him, dueling with him, discovering the intricasies of the Fae court, spending as much time as he can with him and they inevitabily fall in love even while knowing Arthur is mortal and there's NO WAY ON EARTH that Lancelot is going to pass the burden of Inmortality and a whole ass magical realm onto sweet, Pure Galahad, Give me drama!!! Gimme tragedy!!!

-A fic about Sophia's persective while her 15 years long imprisionment under the Hand of Destiny, in canon she was WAY TOO CHILL, no one comes back from a 15 YEARS LONG KIDNAPPING SITUATION normal and perfectly functional I want that woman INSANE and TRIGGERED, NOT KNOWING HOW TO DO JACK SHIT, I want her ANGRY and RUTHLESS because of it, she ain't getting locked up again, OVER HER DEAD BODY.

-Jeredy and Jon Ace old man yaoi, YOU HEARD ME. The whole drama it would have stirren up once Sophia is Rescued and now they have to pretend they didn't fucked when she was gone, Chase wanting his family back, wanting for things to be normal BUT THEY CAN'T BE, I'M SORRY BBY, THERE'S TOO MUCH GOING ON, and getting mad at the three of them.

-Jon Ace fighting with his inner Monsuno (Or developing a second consciousness because of the whole Monsuno Sapien situation), he's got 150 new instincts he doesn't know what to do with and which are pulling him in ALL DIRECTIONS, HE CAN HEAR THINGS HE COULDN'T BEFORE, other Monsunos, The Monsuno Essence ITSELF, the 'Monster' takes over and he doesn't remember what he did while transformed, I want that man going full werewolf, having to hide his terrible nature from everyone while trying to find a cure, going feral during high stress situations (Or when he runs out of the meds keeping him human) and waking up naked in the middle of a forest and a torn apart bear between his teeth.

-Six getting character development and becoming free of Klipse, he did NOT got ANYTHING IN CANON AND I'M SO MAD ABOUT IT.

-A whole genre of fics making Dom Pyro the most terrifying motherfucker on earth, HE'S CANONICALLY A SERIAL KILLER THAT ENCASES HIS VICTIMS ON MOLTEN METAL I want team Core-Tech developing ALL the types of PTSD when dealing with this bastard and BARELY making it out alive each time.

Considering a(nother) Band AU.

Wyll, Lae'zel, and Jenevelle meet in a support group for youth leaving cults and the like. As part of their therapy, they start a folk-metal band; because hey, it worked for 2/3 of Wyll's parents! Wyll & Co don't really want to be the juggernaut Wyll's dads' band became, but they enjoy a comfortable level of success.

Wyll was recruited into an eco-terrorist group as a teenager, which turned out to be a front for all sorts of criminal activity; luckily, he managed to extricate himself before getting in too deep. It strained his relationship with his parents and his sister for a while, but they're in a good place now.

Lae'zel grew up in a militaristic commune, but was ex-communicated after she renounced Vlaakith in uni after falling into a group of Orpheus supporters. This left her with a highly reduced support network, but she doesn't regret it in the least, and she spends a lot of time convincing her former creche-mates that Vlaakith is a fraud.

Jenevelle joined a Shar cult in high school, after her mother got sick and her father stretched himself thin caring for an ailing wife and a worried daughter. The cult convinced her that Shar could heal her mother, as long as Jen--renamed Shadowheart--obeyed every instruction she was given without question. While she eventually escaped, she still has heaps of religious trauma. Sometimes it shows.

Because of this, their oeuvre is largely comprised of historical ballads about great heroes, Gith historical records, and epic poems set to music.

playing with timey-whimey stuff. the construct of time. the existence of things outside of time. those things in a state of always happening, have happened, will happen. not exactly fate but just being. and echoes of those moments, those always happenings, once brought back into the time-stream.

so let me sketch out:

the Empty: a realm outside of time, outside of God's control, older than God, Amara, angels, humans, perhaps even older than Death.

angel trueforms: celestial wavelengths. like the waves still traveling from the big bang, they are everywhere, everywhen since their creation. simultaneously in their pasts and presents, and perhaps even futures.

the human soul: one of thee most powerful sources of energy. they power heaven and angels. corrupted they become demons. the human soul is pure energy, and energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. the energy that is a human soul has always existed. not created from nothing but...transformed from Nothing. and what existed before God? Only the Empty. dark nothingness, transformed into Light. (like the Big Bang itself).

I would also say angels came from this nothingness too, and first. But God soon found that angels and heaven needed an infinite energy source, and so the more powerful human soul was created. And the soul is timeless. Enteral. That's what makes them the perfect energy source, they will never extinguish. So every soul, in a sense, has always been, and will always be. And the soul remembers everything, even if the human consciousness does not.

And so, in the Empty, in a way, it is not the End but the Beginning, and the Always too.

And say, one day, an angel is there. And say, one day, a human soul enters the Empty to save him. And the human presses a hand to the angel's shoulder to rouse him, soul and grace sparking at the contact, for they have met before, but they are also meeting here, outside of time, for the first time. Meeting here always. Meeting here before their other celestial and human forms even existed.

And the human says to the angel, "What do you think you don't deserve to be saved?" And it's an echo, and it's also the first time these words are ever said. And then the human says, with humor in his eyes, "I'm the one who's gonna grip you tight and raise you from perdition." First time. Echo. And then he cups the angel's face and says, "I love you, of course I love you." First time. Echo.

And so when they meet again (first time) in Hell, 2008, soul and grace recognize each other. Not because of fate. Not destiny. let'sss see, I have a lot of wip and au thoughts at the moment as I nervously procrastinate several important projects 😅

I had a cold earlier this week so I wrote half of a fluffy fic inflicting my cold onto SQQ:

“Liu-shidi is out at the moment,” Shen Qingqiu said, an awful rasp to his voice that Luo Binghe hated.  “Surely Shizun can call him back?” Luo Binghe pleaded.  “For what?” Shen Qingqiu asked, waving a sleeve. “A small cold? This master has managed worse. He’ll return when he returns, and until then it's not so bad.”  “But Shizun–” Luo Binghe tried to object, but Shen Qingqiu gave him a stern look that caused Luo Binghe to fold at once. He redoubled his efforts of looking sad and concerned and despondent as a quick countermeasure, and Shen Qingqiu sighed.  “It’s not so bad,” he repeated. “This master can still perform his duties just fine. Most likely it will pass before Liu Qingge even returns.”

outside of that, i have been on a major qijiu brainrot kick (i have a 8k fic for them i should be posting as soon as i decide if it needs a stronger dose of sqq or not + decide how to end it (sob)), and also reading a ton of disciple days/canon timeline bingqiu and having big feelings about how much i love them. ive also been returning to my unhorny women and gender studies liu qingge omegaverse fic that i am always contemplating but never actually writing, in which liu qingge is a not-like-other-girls omega in PIDW omegaverse and tries to marry shen qingqiu due to fantasy comp het

someday i must write this bc i love writing my favs as deaf or hoh. id love to explore shang qinghua as being both physically and culturally Deaf and how that plays into his interactions with the world post-transmigration, where there is even less accommodations or access for someone with a disability and he is cut off from his community, especially in terms of his work on an ding and relationship with his martial siblings. mbj not noticing a major facet of his life feels in character and like great drama lol, and i think the conclusion is definitely mbj learning ZGS that teaches him and he ends up liking using it way more than speaking verbally, both for sqh's ease and because he doesnt like to talk lol
