How do I tell Annabeth haters that they’re not being more feminist for hating Annabeth instead of Rachel? Why do we always gotta hate someone? Can these two girls just exist and not be blamed for shit.
Because first it was “Rachel is getting in the way of Percabeth so she’s a bitch”
But now it’s “Annabeth was so mean to Rachel she had so much internalized misogyny”
Like why did y’all switch up??
I mean good for Rachel but like bad for society this just set us back because wtf
If you can’t blame one you have to blame the other? Honestly they think they’re being such a girls girl for that but it’s just getting worse. God forbid a girl has a crush on an attractive guy and god forbid the other girl who has severe trauma revolving anandonment hates her for it.

Voldemort clearly chooses Death Eaters’ ranks based on usefulness. This means their social status is not all that matters - their actual skills are just as valuable.
The poor half blood and poor pureblood Death Eaters are all high ranking - Snape and the Carrows (who are implied as working class) are the three in charge of Hogwarts in DH.
Similarly, the three female Death Eaters that we know of are also high ranking - Bellatrix as second in command, Alecto is the same rank as her brother and iirc the one Voldemort contacts when he thinks Harry has broken into Hogwarts, and Narcissa is privy to several top secret plans.
We can extrapolate that this pattern likely extends to the rest of his ranks, and this so-called “equality” in his ranks may have been one way he made joining look appealing to disenfranchised Death Eaters.

Headcanon that 90% of Sally Jackson's jewelry is from a jewelry box of heirlooms that her mother and grandmother wore, a collection that she'll one day pass down to Estelle after she's added her own jewelry to the collection and passed on.

i hope ruby gets a well-that’s-alright-then-style notdeath. on the one hand it will make haters mad because oh no not another companion with an impermanent end (and i like to see haters mad) on the other it would require creativity to depict this in a new way + i love all the implications i love the dark fairytale quality of these companion exits i love my un-undead schrodinger’s women

with the way the legend of ruby sunday is titled… legends aren’t usually told about living people. legends are stories of the bygone past, of an age long since over, fictionalised and overgrown with folklore like barnacles sticking to an abandoned shell. there is such a thing as a living legend, but they’re exceedingly rare. the unmistakeable raven’s call in the 73 yards teaser, the trailer’s cut to fifteen crying alone after promising to cherry he’d protect her daughter… the foreshadowing is clear as day…

and yet. there’s one massive HOWEVER. ruby appears in s15: millie’s been spotted on set filming it. which leads me to believe — the doctor isn’t one to take the time travel route and revisit companions that in his future are genuinely dead. that would hurt too much, it would cause unnecessary trauma and could break the timeline. that must mean ruby stays alive in some way. ish. she’s alive and a legend and a mystery. girl-ballad girl-song girl-paradox

here she is, fading out.
p.s.: thesis statement on moffatgirls from the tags i left on somebody else’s post about charley pollard.. well it belongs here since it’s basically the semiotic hurricane swirling around ruby at the moment :)

#on a personal level what interests me about these characters is precisely what gets them labeled as being subject to#misogynistic writing by pop-feminist video-essayists. as an autistic girl* (*ish) however; i find female characters that#aren’t quite ‘normal people’; women who represent an idea or concept or are a puzzle to be solved or a manic pixie dream girl to be#more and in a way far more interesting than a girl-next-door-type universally relatable protagonist#they make for more nuanced stories with more symbolism and more layers of interpretation usually. why should there be realism in a#fantastical narrative? similarly i like characters that are haunting the narrative or dead before it began (big locked tomb fan if you#didn’t know) and like. not to be tvtropes but the lost lenore archetype. dead woman who spurs the hero on to recklessness or revenge.#i identify with that dead girl. the laura palmers of the world. set the story in motion without#necessarily having agency. maybe it’s something to do with my#constant background radiation of passive suicidality. in a fun whimsical way :) i would never kill myself but i don’t want to be a real#person. i want to be objectified but not necessarily in a k*nky s*xual way (that too) in a princess in a tower way#the ultimate femme fantasy innit? there’s something about it. hashtag problematic hashtag conforming to gender roles#10000 tags be upon ye#ruby sunday#millie gibson#doctor who#dw#steven moffat#clara oswald#fifteen#fifteenth doctor#twelveclara#amy pond#charley pollard#river song#donna noble#ncuti gatwa#doctor who meta#jamie.txt#haunting

I’ve talked before about the different ways Perseus and Pentheus react to Dionysus, but I think another interesting dichotomy is how they react to the maenads, Pentheus wanted to imprison and enslave them. When Perseus defeated them he executed them, as if they were male enemy combatants, the differences could end there but Perseus also genuinely showed respect to them, burying them and even making tombs for the higher ranked ones. Compare that to warriors in the Trojan war being hellbent on desecrating their enemies corpses.

Dr. Eggman Is Not A Feminist
So in the Sonic Heroes manual Eggman's description says he is a feminist which has gotten people to believe he is one. However, this is a mistranslation and it's actually supposed to say he is a womanizer.

The parasocial relationships ppl on this website have with celebrities are astonishing. Just saw a post of an 18yo bragging about still hero worshipping N*il Ga*man.
You're not supposed to worship humans. "Never meet your heroes" and all that. But it's more about the fact that you’re inherently dehumanizing them when you do that. It's the other end of treating someone like a monster. They're not perfect and there's nothing wrong with that. But when you personally feel betrayed by the actions of an artist you never met to the point that it seriously impact your mental health, that's a sign that this isn’t healthy. When you make a crime about yourself and your feelings first and victims second, you’re being self-centered in a way that's concerning.
The way so many ppl are genuinely surprised, even confused by the notion that NG is capable of rape is scary. Cause that's definitely something that's going to lower your capacity for believing the victims.
Go listen to Idle Worship by Paramore cause I'm not explaining this as well as I'd want to.

Tapert would have sat in a room with Whedon and Moffat and would have contested every single word that came out of their mouths if he had half the chance.
He is the true feminist icon male showrunner.
The one that should have all the praise for it.

I’m sorry but Katara “go jump in the river” and “I’ll never turn my back on people who need me” the water bender would never cower in fear from even Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation and that’s character assassination if i have ever seen it

I will never get over Katniss daydreaming about Peeta’s child in a meadow, where they could be safe, during the QQ. Just for her, then, to specifically mention her children playing in D12’s meadow, in the epilogue. If that’s not foreshadowing, I don’t know what else is. And a bit of a hint that she longs to be a mom to Peetas child.
Not to mention, when she wakes up from her peaceful slumber, she has a ‘delicious feeling of happiness’ (IMO that’s also connected to her daydream). Just like how she mentions in the epilogue, the term ‘pleasures’. This should tell you that she is very much happy with her children and Peeta. And that’s a beautiful ending for Katniss, who had a secret internal longing to mother Peeta’s children.
