Deviantart ranters on YouTube... The amount of kids and teens that were exploited and mocked for daring to show their creative expression, regardless of skill level, is fucked up. The amount of body shaming, misogyny, ignorance and just straight up fucking hypocrisy was CRAZY! I stated this I'm a previous post but I would literally GUT my older ocs so that I could appease these cretins. It's almost like they ruled out of fear and no matter what you did you were fair game if your character was "Edgy" enough. Ugh. I'm so glad this YouTube trend died out when people finally pointed out, "Hey! You guys are wrong! And stupid! And ignorant! And hateful af! Please heal! :D"

I know some folks have been saying to stop using DeviantArt for a while now for a variety of reasons, but it's also where my art gets the most attention. However, I'm very heavily considering ditching it now after they've started siding with Israel in a very gross way.

Reminder that Israel has been bombing Palestine nonstop for a long while now, and has in fact been the aggressive party through all of this. We can't ignore the bombings of Gaza that happened throughout all of last year, as well as this year, and the conflict ongoing for years prior. We cannot act as if Israel hasn't been committing genocide.

...All this to say, I'm thinking of finally ditching DeviantArt.

that website is just as toxic as twitter

no nsfw or sfw artists is safe on there. Their moderation has double standards. People have been false reported multiple times, they care for money more than their artists, will take down work that “violates the TOS” when in reality it doesn’t. Art thieves, predators, etc etc, I know tumblr has its issues too, but tbh I’d pick tumblr over deviantart. Deviantart has been slowly digging its own grave and eventually will die off

So I’ve fallen into the rabbit hole of reclaiming ai adopts from Deviantart and I found a listing for a goth emo boy and I rescued him. I had to fix so much wrong with him. He took me 3 days to finish because so much was wrong with his proportions and still not everything is okay but it’s good enough.

Hey so important message to those of you who have deactivated your deviant art accounts because of the AI bullshit like I did.

It doesn't matter to them if you don't want to give them any money anymore because they still apparently have my card on file and proceeded to still charge me for Core even though I'm pretty sure my account is irrecoverably gone.

This is because I foolishly assumed when I deactivate my account with dA it'll clear my card info. Reminder that If you want to deactivate any account, not just dA, fucking make sure they don't have your CC details. Now if you excuse me I have a very angry email to write.
